Rogue Rogue is in her bedroom with the door half way open, she's got some music playing, some soft tunes, The Strumbellas, which is her favorite band. She's moving between the closet that is between her large bathroom and her bedroom, taking with her some new clothes that are piled up upon the foot of her bed.

Humming a soft tune, the southern belle is dressed in cut off jeans shorts, a tied up tanktop that is revealing a fair amount of shoulders, arms, and midriff whilst she does her thing sorting the new clothes she picked up out on the town this evening.

Rogue is quietly singing along with the song as she sorts out some tops, folding them and hooking them over an arm. "And I... don't waaant a never endin' life, Ah jus' wanna be alive, while I'm heere." She seems to be in a happy mood, and though she's not the greatest singer in the world, it won't stop her from trying when she's seemingly along inside of her own bedroom!
Wanda Maximoff From down the hallway a familiar voice can be heard. "So then I stepped to the side and jumped up in this sniper spot above the door, and they ran right through after me and I laid into them," Hambone says, recounting a Call of Duty glory moment. A woman's voice replies to him, sounding older than a student, and having a very soft Eastern European accent. "Are you sure this is the way back to the foyer?" she says slowly. "I don't recall the second trip along the stairs on the way in to Lorna's room," the woman says more hesitantly.

"Oh yeah, this is a shortcut," Hambone replies. "So then I was all powered up and I had an air strike that I could call in. Kind of like you do with Iron Man and War Hammer right!?" The voices are getting louder as they seem to be drawing nearer.

"It sounds like a very fun game," the woman's voice says, speaking slowly and her Transian accent perhaps familiar. "I'm not sure we're on the same side of the building as the exit?" she says as if realizing she has become a captive audience.
Rogue In a lull of the song, Rogue catches some of the voices, she IDs Hambone's pretty quickly since they technically live together she hears his mad rambling most every day.... but the second one sounds familiar if a bit new.

So within a moment, the door to Rogue's room is parted a little further and Marie steps into the space between door and doorframe. "Hey!" She says to both of them, Hambone in particular at first. "What're you doin' in the women's dorms?" She asks the pudgy middle schooler.

Rogue's green eyes dart then to Wanda and within a second she recognizes her and a slow grin forms across her lips. "Well shoot, look who the magic fingers drug in..." She says in a saucey sort've way. "Heya, Wanda. Long time no see!"
Wanda Maximoff Wanda looks up from Hambone's explanation of why the grenade launcher is overvalued by players. Green eyes fall on Rogue and a look of relief crosses her face. "I didn't know you were staying here now," Wanda says as she and Hambone walk over. "Lost touch with you after awhile. I seem to have done that with a few people. I really am trying to be better about that. One of the things that brought me here today. I have a sister here, you know?" she says with a self-effacing smile, as if suggesting from Wanda's own behavior that might not be a fact that many people knew.

Hambone starts to launch back into Call of Duty and Wanda tells him, "Thank you for showing me to Lorna's room. And, for waiting for me to be ready to leave," she tells him, her tone for the latter part suggesting that was a surprise and not something she'd requested.

Hambone gives Wanda a big smile. "You're welcome. I guess you can find your way from here. It as really nice meeting you, Scarlet Witch." He extends his hand and Wanda shakes it. "And nice meeting you as well James. Good luck with your video game," she tells him.

Wanda turns to Rogue then, smiling at her as Hambone walks off. "I think you saved me," she whispers softly so Hambone won't hear it.
Rogue Rogue steps out of the bedroom as Hambone goes on at Wanda which makes the southern belle look between the two of them, she offers a grin to Wanda up to the point where she has to more clearly spell it out to James that he's done his bets and doesn't need to do any more. "Someone made brownies earlier." She tells the kid, knowing that'll likely peak his interest. "Downstairs in the kitchen." She smirks softly at him before her eyes sweep over to Wanda then.

"Lorna's sister, yep." Rogue confirms. "I've heard that before. both've ya are Mag's kids, yeah?" She gently shakes her head as she leans back against the doorframe of her bedroom entrance with her hands behind the small of her back.

'Its good t'see ya though. Lorna could probably benefit from some'a that calmin' presence you specialize in." She says this with a slight grin then then for the Scarlet Witch. "Stayin' long?" She then asks of her.
Wanda Maximoff "Yes, she was as much in the dark about her heritage as Pietro and I were," Wanda confirms. She reaches up to brush a fall of brown hair back behind her shoulder as she says, "We've never really spent a lot of time around each other. By the time she came into the picture, Pietro and I were leaving over disagreements with Father's choices," Wanda says. She sighs. "I wasn't a very good sister, really, Anna-Marie. Today was, I hope, a start on making up for it. I hope to be around more, even if today is a short visit," she says.

Wanda glances past Rogue at her room. "You don't have a chandelier though?" she asks, giving a soft grin that might suggest she found the affectation in Lorna's room unusual here at the school. "Someone really did a room up for her I guess. I may have to tease her about it later. So how are you doing? Are you teaching here?" Wanda asks, crossing her arms and moving to lean against the door jamb across from Rogue.
Rogue Rogue nods softly to what Wanda has to say to her. "Just bein' here is bein' a good sister, Wanda... Lorna'll come t'realize that, if she hasn't already. So its really cool'a you t'do. Truly so." She shows a quick smile to the woman before she glances back into her room over her left shoulder and then back at Wanda. "Hah." She says, a quick and short laugh escaping her. She pushes off of the wall and turns to her room to step back into it and motion Wanda inside with her.

"Lorna's got the master suite of the house." She starts to explain. "Since the Professah can't come upstairs, he's had his own room made up down there off of his office'n'classroom. I got this." She motions around. "The butt end of a dance hall on this floor. But its got a fireplace and a converted coat closet, now walk-in closet. Plus a nice bathroom."

Her hands go to the small of her back and she grins over to Wanda then. "I might teach'a class start'a this year... Gotta figure the details out with Storm, I'm her Assistant in the mean time. Hangin' in there... settled back in here, havin' a pretty good time, all things considered."
Wanda Maximoff Wanda Maximoff follows Rogue into the room, glancing around it and smiling at the comfortable feel to it. "It's a nice room. Not too long ago I got them to go through my room and take out all the walls. Except for the bathroom of course. I just like the open feel of it. Not to mention I don't have to worry about a speedster brother bouncing off the walls as often that way," she says with a soft laugh.

Wanda moves over to look out the window. "It is so beautiful and peaceful here. Well, though I imagine the students can maybe test the peaceful part," she says, glancing back at the door and the hallway that Hambone disappeared down. "I fear someone may have a crush," she says, wincing just a little bit at the thought. "But he seemed sweet, trying to impress me with his video game," she says, giving a soft laugh, not at Hambone, but just a warm sound.

"So any chance you will be coming back to the Avengers? We sure could use you," Wanda says. "Things are worse out there than ever, as I'm sure you've seen."
Rogue Rogue leans back against the corner of her desk while Wanda strides across the room to look out the window, she softly smiles to the woman. "Pietro, right?" She asks. "I haven't ever met him. Would like to, totally. You'n Lorna are the bee's knees, so he must be rest've it." This gets a little grin from her before she looks back to her left to the hallway.

"Jimmy Ham..." She softly says with a heavy exhale, her hands coming to slap down against the fronts of her bare thighs with a little double slap sound of skin on skin. "He's a real ladies man, so watch out for that one." She looks back to Wanda and gives her a knowing grin, suggesting she was being sarcastic there.

A heavy exhale hits her, as does a shake of her head. "I don't wanna live in Manhattan anymore. I got sick'a the place. Thats the main reason I left... its that..." She motiosn to the window then. "Peacefulness that makes me like it here, even the kids kidna add t'that ambiance. Since I like bein' up early, I don't really mind the ruckuss they inevitably make either..."

Rogue pushes off of the desk then and steps over to one of the two leather chairs in front of her fireplace, she keeps facing Wanda though. "You should come stay here." She then says. "Spend time close t'Lorna, that'd mean a lot t'her."
Wanda Maximoff Wanda turns back from the window and says, "You know, I'd love to a have a place on a lake. On a lake, up on in the mountains, or at least with a nice view. Some big hills at the least. I've never really had a place like that. We moved around when I was a girl. Then my father and Genosha. Granted, the tropical island life isn't a bad thing. But the city there is still a city. And then New York." Wanda looks back at the window. "I can see the appeal," she tells Rogue.

Wanda walks over to take a seat on the couch, turning on her side to face the other woman. "I plan to be around a lot more to see Lorna." Wanda hesitates a moment, her thoughts playing out before she continues, her words slowly delivered as if with the weight she feels for them. "I was worried she'd reject my attempts. Not just worried, I really did expect it. And I wouldn't have blamed her for it, either. But she hasn't, much to my pleased surprise. She's seemed to really open herself up to the idea. And I have to make sure now I don't let her down. I don't imagine I'll get a second chance at this."
Rogue When Wanda sits down on the small sofa, Rogue sits down on the edge of the chair beside it and she puts her hands palm-together between her knees and leans forward on her elbows atop her thighs. She keeps her eyes on Wanda. "Lorna's not gonna reject family." Rogue says then in a soft tone. "Trust me on that one, sugah." She then flashes a quick and soft smile to the Scarlet Witch.

"She's got her edges, for sure... more than most... but I've known Lorna long enough t'know that those edges got... soft sports for kinfolk. You, her father, Pietro likely too... and whomever else ya'll haven't told me about." She then shows a playful grin to Wanda at that, the idea there's more of them hiding out there.

Rogue shakes her head then, her white bangs waving against the sides of her face as she does so. "Ya'll haven't screwed up enough for her t'push ya way entirely, I'm sure'a that." A glance is given to the window then before she looks back to Wanda. "You're... gonna live somewhere amazin' some day, I can just sense that about ya. You're calm, like the quiet after a storm. Means you're destined for good things, I think."
Wanda Maximoff A smile grows over Wanda's face at what Rogue has to say about her. "Thank you, that means a lot. I've always thought you were a strong judge of character. And not just because you said something kind about me," Wanda says, breaking out in a warm laugh that reaches her eyes.

"There's just the three of us. As far as I know. But really, would it surprise me if there was someone else?" Wanda says in that slow, easy delivery of hers, before holding up her hands in surrender at the topic. None of the three siblings knew of their father, after all.

"So tell me about you, now? You're going to help with the teaching. What else have you been occupying yourself with?" Wanda asks. "Anyone special in your life? Oh, and how is your dog doing? Aces, wans't it?" Wanda asks, head tilting a bit as she glances about the room, looking for signs of a dog.
Rogue Rogue just softly laughs at Wanda's initial words. "One can't ever tell." She says, glancing over to the perfume bottle that Magneto had given her as a gift just a week or so ago... she... elects not to mention that for the time being. "I wouldn't mind havin'a brother or sister I didn't know about, but." She sharp exhales then and softly grins. "Don't think thats a thing."

At the last question, Rogue sucks in a breath between her lips. "I gave Aces away." She admits. "T'a family here, ex Cop'n his wife'n kids. He's doin' great though, seems t'have warmed up t'them quite a bit. I go by once a week or so t'take'im to the dog park. So he seems... I mean, okay with it now. Happy t'see me, happy t'see them. Was pretty rough at first, ain't gonna lie. I bawled quite a bit, but it was for the best. I couldn't keep'im here in good consience toward his safety."

Rogue just gently shakes her head right to left then. "Other than that, doin' my schoolwork, and well... trying t'make due." She doesn't mention the stuff about her family, not yet at least. "It it ain't Sentinels, its the Professah gettin' shot... or god knows what else... right?" She then smirks faintly at her. "And no, my love life is about as deep as an ice tray with no cubes in it."
Wanda Maximoff Wanda Maximoff has a compassionate look as Rogue talks about Aces. "He was always a joy to have around the mansion. As were you, Marie," Wanda says, eyes softening. "I have a second reason to be visiting the school more often now," she tells the other woman in her softly accented English.

Wanda looks over at Rogue, expression a quiet thoughtfulness as Rogue speaks of her love life. "Many of our gifts come with a price. Whether it's not being able to walk down the street without people staring or... well. I think you have one of the more difficult ones to pay. Yet you have one of the brighest demeanors that I know of," Wanda tells Rogue.

Wanda's head tilts to the side and she asks in her typical, gradual delivery, "Would you mind if I gave you a hug? I know you don't get as many opportunities for them."
Rogue Rogue sits up happier when the compliment seems to come her way from the woman with the light accent, she seems to truly 'beam' with happiness from it as she often does when a compliment settles well within her heart. A sly grin shows on her lips and she seems to just stare at the other with a little shake of her head. "You're a sweetie." She says then to Wanda.

"Truth be told, I wouldn't mind helpin the Avengers out if they ever need an emergency name t'pull for missions, so if you feel like it... ya can always suggest that, I've hung around'em a bit since I left, but I'm not sure if they know I'm totally willin' t'steal help'em out if they're in a bind."

The last part makes Rogue's lips raise up into a smile on either corner. "I'm not one t'turn down hugs, but I might wanna put a hoodie on or somethin' first. Otherwise ya might end up passed out on the floor, and I'll be doin' this stuff." She raises her hands and tries to mime Wanda's fancy magic casting finger wiggling/wrist wobbling motions, its not too bad! "I got the skin nobody can touch, ya know. People anyway."
Wanda Maximoff Wanda gives Rogue a slow shake of her head after Rogue mentions having the skin that no one can touch. "Just a temporary allowing of touching, with your permission," Wanda says. And she does some of that finger wiggling. It's not so much wiggling, as if she is moving her fingers through some other media. Something that has resistance to it. And as she makes headway against the resistance, that familiar scarlet aura gathers about her hands.

Wanda will wait to get Rogue's permission when she realizes what Wanda means. And then Wanda's gestures with her fingers and there is a faint glow around Rogue. Then... things change. She can feel things in ways that she could before, for one. That nigh-invulnerability is gone, allowing her sense of feeling to come back fully. That ability to fly that is always there, is gone as well.

But the benefit? Wanda reaches out slowly, taking Rogue's hand in both of hers. Bare skin on bare skin. Warm and gently as she holds the other woman's hand first, letting her feel that contact before doing more.
Rogue "I mean, if you think you--" Rogue stops talking when she sees the hand motions and the scarlet light that flashes around her form, then her eyes glance down at herself and back up to Wanda. "Can...?" Rogue then states quietly before she raises her hands up with Wanda's and she interlaces her fingers with the other.

"Holy shit." Rogue says softly, looking from one of her hands to the other where they're together with that of the Witchay-Woman's. Then she darts her green eyed gaze up to Wanda's own. "I didn' tknow you could do that..." She says in a very nearly whisper of a voice. "I mean, did you know? Or was this an experiment?"

The southern flower tries to contain herself, she's only 20 years old after all and since she was in her early teens she'd been plagued with being unable to touch people when she craved it so very dearly. "I mean, how is this workin'?" She then finally just asks Wanda, staring right at her old Avenger team mate and friend.
Wanda Maximoff Wanda's expression is the kind of big smile that someone gets when they can be a part of doing something they know is impactful for someone they care about. "I can remove mutant powers. Or at least dampen them for a time. I used to do it with Pietro when he would zip around and around, until he drove me to aggravation," she says, having the good sense to look a little embarrassed at having done that to him, and against his will.

"It is just a temporary canceling of your powers. I will end it as soon as you want. And, I only did enough to cancel them for maybe an hour before they would come back on their own," Wanda explains. Though even as she does, she slides her fingers up over hte back of Rogue's hand. Soft feeling of her touch on Rogue's skin. Slowly brushing her fingers up over Rogue's arm. If Rogue allows, Wanda moves forward then, slipping her arms around the other woman to hold the Southern belle in a long, tight hug. Wanda slowly rubs her hands up and down the other woman's back, though mostly she goes for the bare shoulders so Rogue can feel that skin to skin contact.
Rogue "Oh." Rogue quietly says to the woman with the magic that she doesn't at all understand. Is it like Strange's magic? Is it a mutation sort've like her own? She doesn't konw the answer to these question, but its working and that much she's quite clear on.

When Wanda move in to hug her, Rogue responds to it and allows it, within moments she's returning the hug and the physical contact of another person who's as graceful and caring as Wanda is? It makes Rogue emotionally respond, she closes her eyes and she gets a sense of comfort and care from it, she pulls a deep breath in through her nose and lays her head against Wanda's shoulder... she doesn't get hugged like this very often! Physical contact with someone who's not afraid to touch her, not afraid of her skin and not seizing up out of fear of being comatosed!

So the young Belle leans into Wanda and just hugs her back, getting a great deal of... joy from being held. "Thank you." She eventually quietly says, its a gift, no mistakes what so ever.
Wanda Maximoff Wanda's fingers move up to brush softly atop Rogue's hair as she welcomes the other woman's relaxing against her. "We have to deal with so much, we mutants. We deserve as many moments like this as we can have," Wanda says quietly. There's no pulling back from the hug by the Transian woman. She's there for Rogue to soak up as much warmth and human contact from as she would like.

Wanda just gently holds the other woman as they continue to talk. "I will definitely let the rest of the team know you'll have our back if anything comes up. You are very well-liked, Rogue, and with good reason," she says softly. Her hand moves gently along the back of Rogue's head, finally slipping beneath her hair so the fingers can be felt upon the back of her neck, gently nestling the woman's head to her shoulder.

"I don't have anywhere near the kind of issue that you do with your powers. Though sometimes I feel a bit... off. It's been happening lately and I wish I could get a handle on it. It just seems to happen sometimes. Like a feeling of dread that I can't shake, but don't know the source of," Wanda says quietly. Something that was never mentioned while Rogue was an Avenger. But there were definitely times she had moods. Melancholy, even to the point of impacting her powers and her effectiveness.
Rogue Rogue continues to embrace the other, because feeling her touch was just nice, she didn't have a sister or a mother or anyone who could hold her like this and it felt like a wealth of tension just pouring off of her shoulders. She holds the embrace and keeps her hands on Wanda's back behind her shoulders, up until she hears Wanda admitting that list part and then Rogue pulls back just some, to stare at her friend.

A moment later and she's smiling lightly at her. "Ya know, Wanda..." Rogue then says. "From my perspective? I see a person who's had a lot weight on her shoulders, and likely had way more frowns in her life than she has smiles. I think thats what we gotta work on with ya, is start balancin' that ratio out, then tip it entirely over inta the opposite direction."

Hesitantly, Rogue reaches her left hand up and places it softly on the side of Wanda's face, she then pets her with the side of her thumb, brushing it on her cheek... mostly because she can't touch folks like this really EVER so its nice to feel someone's face!

"You hang around here more and we'll get ya havin' better times, whether its with me, or me and your Sis, or whoever. We'll get some better moments in there for you too. I think that'll help ya, like you're helpin me right now."
Wanda Maximoff The Transian woman can be fierce when her ire is aroused, but so often she has a gentleness about her. And that is definitely the case now as she is able to share with Rogue those joys of human contact. Wanda seems completely comfortable with the touch to her face. Her green eyes shine softly and she smiles, giving Rogue not only the joy of touching another person, but of knowing that they enjoyed the contact as well.

Wanda breaks out in soft, warm laughter at the comments from Rogue. "I would like that a lot," she says, her slow delivery making the words feel more heartfelt. And they are, at that. "I have been blessed by having Pietro all of my life. He also can be a crutch though if I let him be. Always there when I need him, so I don't always cultivate the friendship I should."

Wanda beams a smile to Rogue and says, "We will help each other, agreed?" Wanda reaches up to rest her hand atop Rogue's, and then leans her cheek into the touch, letting Rogue feel the softness of her skin. "I can do this for you, when you like. I only wish I could give you the gift of touch without removing the rest too," she says.
Rogue Rogue softly nods about the brother part. "Well, a brother who's there is bette'ah than one who's not. So don't let that weigh on your shoulders'n just add t'shit t'feel bad about, cause that ain't gonna do nobody any good." At the sincere and sweet gesture of wishing she could do 'more' than this, Rogue just leans in and hugs her again, putting her arms around the other to hold her. "Baby steps, sugh." Rogue says softly then. "Few minutes ago, I didn't think I could touch nobody without having some kinda weird-ass device t'de-power me. Now? Now I got a device that is much less weird." She then grins. "Still some weird, no denyin' that, but in a good way." She teases the Scarlet Witch that she's hugging on.
Wanda Maximoff Wanda's cheeks may end up hurting from how much she's ended up smiling today. She'd hoped for a nice visit with her sister, and the results were far better than she had even hoped for.

She hadn't expected to run into Anna-Marie either. Even if she had, Wanda would not have had this in mind before hand. But now that she can see how much it means to Rogue, if anything Wanda wonders how she did not offer this before. "Much less weird than machines. If Tony hears that he will probably make that my password for the quinjets," Wanda says with a warm laugh.

She tightens the hug for a moment, though doesn't let go when she lets back up. Rogue can soak up all of the human contact that she wants. "You know, the training staff at the mansion give the best massages. You should come by and enjoy one fully sometime," Wanda suggests. "I imagine Janet would love to see you as well. She took Pietro and I out for a clothing fitting the other day. I think she's preparing a charitable fashion show that she intends all of the Avengers to participate in. You really should be part of it," she suggests.
Rogue Rogue does eventually pull back while Wanda is talking about the fashion show and she breaks the hug, she doesn't want to be overly weird about it all herself after all! She then takes Wanda's hands again within her own and she flashes her friend a grin. "I'd like that a lot. I've only gotten t'speak with Janet in very short supply, everyone raves about her, so I need t'rmedy that shortcomin', so it seems." Rogue glances over to the clothes still on her bed. "You stickin' around a little while longer?" She then asks. "Wanna help me put the resta this stuff away?" She then looks back and smiles lightly. "Less ya need t'get back out there and have Hammy tell ya more about his Fortnite shenanigans." She didn't realize he was going on about Call of Duty, its usually one of those two...
Wanda Maximoff Wanda lets Rogue go as she pulls back, happy to still be touching hands. "Sure, I'd be happy to help with them," Wanda says as she looks over at the clothes. "You have such a collection. My own wardrobe is still fairly basic. Except for my uniforms," she says. Wanda tends to dress a bit more conservatively normally. Yet she loves those corsets in her costume, go figure.

"Janet is wonderful. She has an engine that rarely slows down. And a confidence that can be inspiring," Wanda adds thoughtfully. "So you know... she and Steve have been... sweet on each other. Finally dating now," Wanda says. "That was a long time in coming. So long I started to wonder if it ever would. I'm quite happy for the both of them," she says with a gentle smile. "Finding someone who understands the risks we face, and accepts them? That is a special thing."
Rogue Rogue will switch to just one hand with Wanda as the two of them rise up to a standing position and she grins at her words. "Don't gotta tell me about that, sugh... Findin' that someone is no small task, lemme tell ya. I may be young still, but I've lived quite a lotta life and seen that already, not t'mention havin' seen even more've it through the eyes a those that weren't quite so able to t'ouch me." She glances down at their hands as she guides her to the clothes and then motions toward them. "Got all this stuff at the shops today... gotta cram it inta the closet somewhere. Then wear as much've it as possible throughout the summer." She says with a sly little grin to Wanda at her side.
