Lorna Dane It had been sometime since Lorna had been back home to Genosha. There had been missions, and chaos, as always in the States. A few updates on Sentinels had come through from her. Nothing in the reports was particularly good either. From the news about Sebastian's being human originally, to Lex Luthor's more recent human-robotic based creations. Then of course came the earth quake and more chaos... and well, it was past time Lorna returned home to check in on reports and answer any questions her father might have.

Plus the usual duties of being a Princess. All of which she took seriously, the Genoshan people deserved her attention just as much, if not more, than others.

The green haired woman stepped into her father's study, feeling the pull of the electro-magnetic fields as she took a break from her routine visits in the city around the Palace to come back. Lorna wore a loose fitting sun dress, a deep green made of silken like material that caught the sun and reflected the light back in an aurora of sparkles. It was mutant made and it caught the eye far more than any human fabric did or could.

"Father, do you have a minute?" She called as she entered the room.
Magneto      Magneto turned around in his chair, and motioned to Lorna. "Yes, Mr. Ambassador. No, allow them entry. Thank you."

The phone lifted and set down on the base without hands, Magneto rises from his chair and looks about three times happier. "I have two minutes for you, daughter." He says, more chipper than he had been on the phone, business and all.
Lorna Dane Lorna lingered in front of the desk as her father's voice caught her focus aimed toward the telephone and she waited until the phone was lifted and hung up before she spoke and came around the desk. Surprise lurched her eyebrows upward as her father appeared to be in a good mood, a contrast to her own rather sullen, stressed one that had plagued her for the past few weeks.

Still, a smile came to her face reflexively. "You sound to be in a good mood, any particular reason?" She asked before she went to give her father a quick hug. "Wanda says hi by the way. She.. came to the Mansion and told me she wanted to spend time with the family. Asked after you and everything. We were talking about going on a road trip to Vermont or something."
Magneto      "No reason whatsoever." He answers, currently smiling slightly. Magneto clasps his hand over Lorna's for a moment, patting it gently. "Now, what is it you needed from me, child?" He asks, not a tone of condescension on his lips, just stating the fact that she was his child.
Lorna Dane A blink, and Lorna watched her father, not expecting a good mood which out explanation, or really a good mood from her father at all. They so rarely happened it seemed. Still, the green haired mutant furrowed her brows, considering. "I wanted to get your thoughts on the situation with the Sentinels, and with Luthor. It's actually sort of really bothering me. I dunno.." She trailed off, biting her lower lip as she glanced off to the side in thought.

"Did you have a chance to read the reports at all regarding John Doe.. er.. Sebastian as he's going now?"
Magneto      Magneto gives a bit of a shrug concerning the John Doe incident. "Yes, I have. But I'm not quite sure what to make of it myself."

If he was completely honest, he hadn't devoted as much thought to that as he did Trask. The man was the subject of his ire as of late. The elder mutant had developed a bit of tunnel vision in that regard.
Lorna Dane Lorna's eyebrows furrowed even further, "Sebastian, he comes from the future father. He hates mutants... he was human once and he wants to be human again. He gave me a great deal of information on how the Sentinels work. How we could hit the 'molds' in Trask's factories. If we can figure out which ones have them. He said these things are like the generals. That their destruction would slow Trask down considerably. Wouldn't that be worth looking into?" Her lips pursed together and her hands rung over themselves faintly, as if for want of lotion or something to do with them.

"And Emma said she'd go to Trask herself and look into what the factories look like. She poked around there successfully. We have anti-detection units working. But we're pretty sure they won't hold up against Sebastian's tech." She shifted her weight on her feet, looking more and more worried.

"And when talking to Luthor in regards to his Peacekeeper project.. I dunno. I helped him test out a few examples he plans to take to the government facilities in an attempt to muddy the waters financially speaking against Trask. But he's.. he's mixing wholly human minds and hearts with technology. I ... It made me hesitant father."
Magneto      Erik looked to Lorna, his happiness wilting as she continued to explain. "The Molds would certainly be where I would look into making a surgical strike. You and I against these machines would certainly make it a challenge for them. And one would venture to guess that he wouldn't dare divulge that his machines had a fault."

The Genoshan King offered up one thing for the princess. "I told you, dear. Having an analogue of these death machines in Luthor's hands was a mistake. As much as I do see him as mostly an ally, even these machines in the hands of Charles are a dangerous prospect..."
Lorna Dane Lorna winced, and crossed her arms as she pursed her lips, "I still think introducing something to compete against Trask, to soak up or slow the demand until we can buy time is a worthwhile investment.. I just.. I don't know if the way he's doing it.. It just doesn't sit well with me. The man... Peacekeeper I spoke to. He said he was terminal, and Luthor built for him a machine body. A half way decent magnetic blast took out the shields with little effort. It's better than Trask with his mutant detectors." She pursed her lips and paced, turning back to her father.

"Dad, we're too recognizable. We can't be seen to attack a government funded business.." She mumbled, her eyebrows pinched as her father brought up the prospect of attacking a factory themselves. She didn't want to, didn't want to tarnish the work she'd done trying to secure Genosha allies. Attacking a foreign company would most assuredly draw the ire of the UN and others that might otherwise be sympathetic to them. Her worries were so prevalent that she'd slipped from calling him 'father' her usual term of address to him, straight to 'Dad'. The youngest of Magneto's children was worried, and it had clearly been wearing her down.

"I thought having a back up if the Sentinels ever attacked or had a displacement field up, would be a worthwhile investment. Sebastian can mute powers at a distance.."
Magneto      Magneto stands at the desk, putting a hand down flat on the top. "Someone should then. Even if I have to send Raven to do it." It was the first time he had mentioned her in front of Lorna since the assassination of President Underwood.

"He's placing humans in these contraptions? Transplanting brains and consciousness into a machine body? What the devil is going on, Lorna? This is not the forties, but every day they get closer and closer to resembling Doctor Mengele and his ilk."

A hand sifts through Erik's silver hair and a sigh is given. This whole situation has worn thin on him as well. And he will have to rectify the situation one way or another. "Promising these poor souls respite from their pain, trading it for a metal body and then forcing them into indentured servitude. I get labeled a tyrant for defensive actions, and yet HE can do what he's doing and it's legal? Where is the logic in this world?"
Lorna Dane Lorna winced heavily as her father spoke, or more ranted about the craziness of how things had all progressed. The man that Lex had turned into a machine had seemed ...fine? It wasn't the word, but not upset with his choice. But the way her father framed it all.. She bit her lower lip, crossing her arms, as she leaned back against the side of the desk. "What happened to your ideas about talking to Captain America? I thought you were going to try for the symbolic route?" She mumbled, her eyebrows furrowing sharply.

"I don't know about the legality.. These men volunteered to what Lex offered them.. I don't.. I wouldn't compare it to.. to.." She fumbled for words awkwardly. Ultimately failing at getting to whatever point she'd intended.
Magneto      "I haven't had the opportunity as of yet." Erik responds, only to turn back around to the Peacekeepers situation. "I would not assume that Luthor would have given these people the option to take the body and not serve, Lorna. And if there were terms, then that is exactly what it is, call a spade a spade."

Erik simply stands, arms crossed now, frustrated. "Getting ahold of the Captain has been a challenge."
Lorna Dane Lorna bit her lower lip, and considered what her father had to say, her gaze lowering to the floor. She fell silent, her fingers curling against the lip of the polished hard wood. She exhaled a rough breath and nodded once, as she let the Peacekeeper discussion fall away. "I can ask Wanda if she could arrange something? I mean she does live in the Mansion there.." She offered softly, her green eyed gaze lifting upward back to her father.

"Father, are you serious about sending Mystique into Trask's labs? She threatened to blow Rogue and I up the last time we saw her."
Magneto      Magneto gives a nod. "That may be the best route to take." He offers, only to sit back down in his chair. As the princess asks about Mystique, he sighs gently. "It's my hope that it won't come to it. But for the sake of plausible deniability, I cannot say for certain." He had options available to him, and Mystique was just but one. "Of course, I did not know she had threatened you so. I cannot make excuses for her, but you know as well as I how she can...come off. Especially if she feels cornered."
Lorna Dane Lorna exhaled a breath, her shoulders slumping faintly, as she pushed her green hair back from her features. "I'll ask her to help schedule that then. I'm sure she'll be happy to. Wanda has wanted to be more involved in mutant affairs.." Which were frankly family affairs these days. The youngest of his children didn't move from the side of his desk, her hip pressed against it as she watched him settle back into his chair again.

"We were in Mutant Town going for milkshakes. She came out of no where and demanded we listen to her. Mostly Rogue, and said she had a bomb and a switch and what not." She made a face, "Just to get Rogue to talk to her." She arched an eyebrow upward, as if to question Mystique's sanity.

She knew her father had others he could //easily//. A whole island, or a large portion of it, held him in high esteem. Most of which were mutants. Plausible deniability practically gift wrapped.
Magneto      Magneto holds a hand out in front, realizing just what she meant. "Alright, point taken." He adds in, before looking to Lorna again. "Wanda expressed that desire to you?" He asks, a little taken aback by the situation of it all.
Lorna Dane Lorna stopped short of further explanation as her father lifted up his hand to forestall anything further regarding Mystique. It did almost feel as if she were tattling, running to her father regarding how someone he'd worked with had threatened her. Almost as if she couldn't handle things herself... but it had happened and left the green haired mutant on a sour note.

Still, her father next question had her nodding once. "Yes. She.. well, she admitted to having been rather distant. Not just in regards to what's happening but also ... well, for family. She wants to spend time with me. I dunno what sparked all of this.. But she's working on a protection spell for the school, for the students and everything."
Magneto      "Well at least there's that." Magneto comments before reaching to a tablet in front of him. "Keep an eye on the Peacekeepers, but we should prepare to distance ourselves from this. Should word get out that Genosha supported these what I can only assume would be violations of the Nuremberg Code, it could mean the end of us."
Lorna Dane A soft sigh and Lorna nodded, "I'll take the appropriate steps then father." She pursed her lips, not entirely happy but she'd been uncomfortable regardless. Lorna pushed off from the desk, her shoes clicking softly beneath her feet as she stepped back and her father reached for the tablet once more in front of him. A clear dismissal if there ever was one.

"Should I stay and join you for dinner tonight, or are you going to be into work instead?" She asked, not entirely sure of her father's schedule. He always seemed busy. As both King and the manic genius he was, when something got a hold of him, she'd seen him work through the night.
Magneto      Magneto have a small smile. "I think it would do me good to be away from work for at least a meal. I would be delighted to have you join me." He said to the Princess, and stood again. "Not all doom and gloom, dear." He said with a wink.
