Owner Pose
Johnny Blaze Another day, another bike to fix. It was nice and sunny outside, some birds chirping, and a few people even being nice to each other. Can't these days last fore-

"MERCY! where's my wrench?!"

Nope. No they can't. Johnny seems to be looking through every creek and crevice. "Did you steal it again to fix up that old german car?" Johnny asks with curiousity in his tone. He hasn't reached annoyance yet.

Yet.

Though no doubt a few of the customers who foolishly decide to wait outside for their stuff to be done is either cracking up or annoyed.
Mercy Thompson Mercy wipes her hands off on a rag and offers a silent prayer that the bolts she spent five minutes fitting to the old Bug she's fixing up will hold. Mufflers...pain to install, but hearing hrer assistant's voice, Mercy stands up and steps around the various parts of a Bug's wiring. She'll get to it later. Right now, Mercy's also wondering where the wrench went. Looking over, she tuts. "I told you before not to rearrange the wrenches" Mercy says with a smile. "Though your bike one's misisng. Where'd you put it last?" she asks, thinking logic is a fine place to start...like, retrace your steps, assistant.
Johnny Blaze Johnny looks at Mercy. "Oh please, I know where I left it and I'm not so stupid as to-" Johnny finds it....then he just sighs. "Fucking hell." and he shouts. "Yeah, I found it. It was underneath the bike." He kneels down then and starts working on the wheels like he's supposed to. "So then, how's the bug looking? Or is it dead in the water?" becaues bolts on an old vehicle can be a phenomenal pain in the ass to put on.
Mercy Thompson Mercy shakes her head and sighs, "Remind me why I hired you again?" she asks with a laugh, the light catching her coveralls that have her name on them. She gestures to the bug. "Transmission's holding, the engine's getting worked on, and the wiring's a lost cause. Admittedly, the guy who brought it in said it was for his kid to go to college in, Columbia University" Mercy nods and takes a wrench, then marches back to the Bug. She'll win this fight with the engine, it will get rebuilt. It will....totally.....get rebuilt.
Johnny Blaze Johnny seems to chuckle a little bit. "My astonishing good looks and the amazing sound my bake makes when I turn on the engine?" Of course, Johnny is just teasing his technically boss, but as she talks about the bug. "Well, looks like gonna have to rewire it from scratch. I can help you with that, but its gonna take me awhile and I'm pretty sure you don't want to work on this newer model." Johnny says with a bit of a grin.

"The guy who bought this car intended it for his kid? how did he even get from point A to point B with it before it was in the shop?" Johnny looks surprised, but there's also some teasing in his tone.
Mercy Thompson Mercy looks over with an arched eyebrow. "Really. I thought it was you working and doing the obs I don't want to" Mercy points out then siles. "No idea how that Bug got five feet. Still" she says putting wrench to engine, "Okay, this one's a lost cause, the engine's flooded with coolant and it's got into everything" she says with a heavy sigh, tappping the wrench a few times as if for luck. "See. Your bike's easier" Mercy points out reahing up to tie her hair back again. "See. I'm fairly sure I neeed to make a call" she says....bad news calls are her least favored type of call. "Or you can if you like, the numbr's on the slip of paper and the form in the in tray, with the ar's plate number" Mercy offfers.
Johnny Blaze "Well, whatever helps you sleep a little better at night." Johnny says with a kind smile and a bit of a wink, but then he walks over to her, cleaning off some grime that was on his hands. "Geez. Well, if I make the call, I'm gonna get cussed out then I'm gonna have to cuss them out and...well, its gonna be a fun time." he sighs. "So how about you make the call, because your nicer than me." and if Mercy knows that Johnny is the Ghost Rider, nothing needs to be caught on fire today. "Well, the bike is just changing out the wheels. Not as difficult as raising the dead." he gestures to the definitely-not-okay Bug.
Mercy Thompson Mercy sets off for the ofice and looks over the paperwork. Beetle. $1100. Lost cause. She grabs the phone and looks at it for a moment before dialing....and explains patiently how the car's a lost cause. She's understanding, at least....andsets the phone down, returning to the garage. "Alright" Mercy calls. "Good news....the Bug's owner said we get to scrap it and keep the money. Bad news....we got a rich whiny brat crying about his car, from the dorms. Apparently, that $1100 Bug was supposed to be a birthday gift. Somebody needs better car choices" Mercy says and stays by the door to the office.
Johnny Blaze Johnny looks at Mercy and he gives a little chuckle. "Well, at least we can scrap it down for spare parts and you can keep the money to pay the bills." silver lining. "But, shame. I could probably trick out this car, but we'd spend more money trying to get this thing back from the grave than we would actually be paid for, so...not worth it. Shame...anyway, the bike is done, I can handle the payment and warranty on that one."
Mercy Thompson "Indeed" Mercy says with a winning smile. "Indeed, but..." she says checking her phone. "I need to head across town to check a parts store. You want to lock up and remind people we're closed?" she asks with a nod. "That, and I need to give my Rabbit a run too. New brakes in her. New ignition too" she adds and looks hopeful it'll start.
