Jessica Drew Rumours had begun to abound, as rumours tend to do, of some level of unrest in Bludhaven. The source hasn't been entirely clear. Vampires, Demons, Wytchery, mimes, and giant hissing cockroaches are all possible sources. But whatever is going on out there, Jessica Drew feels like it isn't going to get any better till somebody gets to the bottom of it.

It's is a dark and stormy night. Not raining, quite yet. But enough lightning in the distance to ensure that the mood is properly terrified. Moving between the alleyways is a dark figure, clinging to walls and bouncing off rooftops and fire escapes, and one gargoyle.
Angel Angel is working, not on the investigative side of his job, but surely on the demonslaying and vampiredusting part of it. In this particular case, one of the darker alleys is the theatre of a scene that would probably end on the screen of some second-class moovie.
Angel stands there, wearing boots, pants, a shirt and a coat all in a characteristically dark tone of black and, moving with lightning speed, he is busy fighting a trio of what look like humans, but taller, with green skin, and a single horn in the center of their quite wide foreheads.
Jumping to the right, he twists in mid air avoiding the fist of one, then propels himself in a flying kick to the second demon, only to wrap his right arm around the neck of the third, using his hands as leverage to twist his head viciously. A crack later, and there's an enemy less in the dark street, a body that first falls to the floor, then disappears.
Jessica Drew Jessica hasn't been in Bludhaven long enough to realize that one should be afraid of just about anyone here. A voice calls out from a dark corner of architecture near the rooftop. "I heard some dude might need some help fighting horny boogers in an alleyway. Would that happen to be you?" Then there's a beat. "I mean...horny as in they have horns, not as in they want to um..." She's stammering. But still clinging upside down on all fours, creeping into the light. Her suit is skin-tight, midnight blue with a silver spider and webbing adorning the chest. Her dark hair is held out of her face by a mask that covers her eyes, with delicate points that rest on her cheeks, in the same hue of dark blue, and white eye lenses.
Angel Angel jumps over a legsweep, then goes with a cross jab to the chest of one of the two demons, tilting his head backward to avoid an elbow strike. He turns, grabs an arm intent on punching him, ducks and spins under it, throwing the unfortunate demon against a nearby wall only to jump up again, aiming an uppercut at the one still standing. For obvious reasons, he can't really look away from his opponents, but he can ear the voice, locate his source, and so it is that he speaks without looking "just be careful about them, they punch, harder than it seems..." and indeed, while dodging another punch, it slams on a nearby wall, with the resoult that a fistsized hole appears on it. Definitely, it's better if there's not a human, or even a nonhuman body, in the path of one of those fists.
Jessica Drew Spider-Woman looks over the three opponents, and hmmm's. "Yeah looks like they've got the numbers, but you've got the moves." She reaches up with one hand and thwips out a web, catching the closest demon to the man and jerking it away from him, toward her. Turning sideways, she lifts her other hand and blasts the demon with her other hand, a flash of brilliant blue electricity hitting him directly in the face before he drops to the ground and she begins to cocoon him in webbing, stuck to the ground. "That ought to help."
Angel Angel spares just a glance to the webbed demon, then turns and ducks, avoiding another fist and throws a mule kick to the last demon. Completing his spin, he goes with a knifehand to his throat, then they just exchange a flurry of blows so quickly that to a regular eye it almost seems like a blur. That ends with another neckbreak, not unlike the previous one, and the last opponent is out of the game, falling to the ground and vanishing. Just standing there, Angel smooths and adjusts his coat with both hands, and only then he turns to look at Jessica, nodding at her as a form of greeting "thank you for the assistance." he says
Jessica Drew "Never a problem!" Jessica replies, dropping to the ground in a crouch at the man's feet, then rising to her full height. "I can't let a guy like you get pushed around by guys like them, right? You're one of the ah...good...guys?" she basically asks. "I mean I hope you're one of the good guys, because I don't want to have to hurt somethin' as pretty and deadly as you."
Angel Angel runs his eyes over Jessica's body now that it is in front of him, even if his face remains quite neutral and his gaze seems almost a professional one "I am one of the good guys, yes. They were not" and just to be sure they are no more, he walks to the cocooned last demon, the one knocked out by Jessica herself, and subtly enough slides some quite sharp claws from his right hand's fingertips, cutting the cocoon to notice that it, in fact, is empty. "nicely done on that one."
Jessica Drew     Jessica arches a brow as she watches the display. "You're a good guy. But you're not a human guy," she observes. It isn't a question this time. "I've never seen a human as fast as you are."
Angel Angel nods, standing up again and straightening himself, his eyes on Jessica as his ears, and nose, scan the vicinity for other enemies "so it seems, or I am just one of the fast ones..." he casts a quick glance at the last location of the fallen demons "well they were not human for sure, if the horn and skin color didn't give it away."
Jessica Drew "Nobody's /that/ fast," replies Jessica, scanning the area and hopping up on the wall to cling and get a better view of the area. Her masked face looks back down toward him curiously. "Can I ask your name? I don't recognize you..."
Angel Angel chuckles, sinking his hands in the pockets of his pants "says the masked woman walking on walls..." he replies, then tilts his head "Angel, anyways, nice to make your acquaintance..." he even performs a half bow as a form of greeting
Jessica Drew Jessica tilts her head and hops down from the wall, landing lightly in her feet. "Jessica Drew. Avenger and Agent of SHIELD," Jessica explains in way of introduction. "I heard there had been some unrest out this direction. From the looks of your situation, the rumours seem to be true. Are those guys common around here?"
Angel Angel nods "well again, nice to meet you." he replies, leaning against a nearby wall to scan his surroundings with eyes and ears "as common as you can expect... It's not like they would go mingle with humans, or at least, not on a daily basis, and it's not like humans would notice either." he shrugs "but they're an annoyance for sure... That particular, breed of demons, for example, has a quite nasty habit of kidnapping people to perform some umpleasant sacrifices, but those three were the last ones..."
Jessica Drew Jessica arches a brow and turns to look back at the spots on the ground where dead demons should lay, but instead they had disappeared. "Fragile guys? That they would disappear when defeated? I don't get it. Where did they go when they fell? They were physical beings just like you and me."
Angel Angel sighs, looking at the now empty streetfloor "returned to their dimension, you could say? They're demons, that means they are not exactly following the usual rules... Supernatural creatures tend to do that, from time to time... You know, like, vampires turning into dust, ghosts vanishing and leaving a bit of ectoplasm behind them, that sort of things... They were physical beings, and now they brought their physicality somewhere else, hopefully not to be manifested anytime soon..."
Jessica Drew Jess continues to watch the ground thoughtfully, then approaches where Angel is now standing. She inclines her head, looking the man over with interest ,and clear, intense curiosity. "Would you care to talk to me about that speed of yours? That's something I don't see iften, even among Supers."
Angel Angel chuckles, peering at the woman as she approaches "well, I've seen a man on tv, dressed in red with a lightning bolt on his chest, definitely faster than me..." he says, but his expression maintains a pleasant neutrality "Lets just say I, trained a lot, to be fast?"
Jessica Drew Jess shakes her head. "No, that kind of speed is something that ...." Jess pauses, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Nevermind. I'll pretend to buy what you're shoveling. How often do these guys steal people?"
Angel Angel chuckles again, and then surprisingly, his lips turn into what might seem like a weak half, maybe quarter of, a smile. "well how do you call them now, metahumans?" he just says as a half way of explanation, wait till someone catches him in front of a mirror! "anyways, it was just a yearly thing, something that they will not do again, at least..."
Jessica Drew "Once a year," Jess replies. "They don't h currently hold anyone, then? Here OR elsewhere?" Jess pulls out her phone, seemingly scanning some sort of list for information. "No one missing in relation to them?" She seems to have bought the metahuman explanation.
Angel Angel quietly raises his right hand, pulling his hand out of his pant's pocket, to point at one of the dark and high windows on a nearby building "the children that should have been kidnapped, today, are safely sleeping in there, with their family... It's how I tracked those, waiting for them to find their prey" he admits, pocketing his hand again "so well, noone will get hurt, not cause of those at least.." he points at the empty spot where one of the demons used to be
Jessica Drew For the first time since she arrived, Jessica's all-business demeanor is shaken. Her expression is stricken, and that is visible even with the mask. "Ch-children..." Jess follows his gaze toward the windows. "I...I'm going to check." Jess shakes her head as she is already halfway up a wall. Keep your head on straight," she says, looking back down at Angel. "I'll find you again soon. One way or another..."
Angel Angel nods at the woman, looking at her climbing on the wall. "be safe" he says, then he steps back, apparently blending with the shadows and, with a couple of jumps, he's gone, probably returning to his hotel.
