Mercy Thompson The dojo on the Lower East Side is busy today with classes and workshops as it's a dojo, shockingly enough....that teaches people martial arts. Mercy Thompson is heading out of one such class, her she shi kai kan class, and is dressed in karate gear as she's going for a short break. Class is in session, but Mercy asked for a short break to check her things. Sensei was nice enough to give it, so mercy's sat by the door watching everyone. She's still in the mood to spar though, but given she's not in a classroom....she's not going to just pick sparring matches with people. That's not who she is. But she's certainly just sitting there drinking from a bottle of water and looking relaxed. Her other hand's on her bag, as Mercy is looking around the dojo and relaxing. The wood floors, the decorations...it's all somehow beautiful to her.
Kally Jogging down the sidewalk, Kally wears a jacket she had to recently buy to replace an outfit that is now an alternate super costume...grumble grumble, dumb robbers, grumble. The black jacket is slightly open as she jogs toward the dojo with that backpack that carries the delivery that was requested. She finally comes to a stop near the place and lets out a breath before she checks the bag and walks inside. Once inside, she awaits the properietor to come and sign for the thing but even as she does, a strange thing begins to happen. A police officer, in full gear, comes walking into the dojo. Strange, but not terribly strange in and of itself. The strange part is that the police officer walked through the back wall of the dojo and seems to be looking at Kally. He comes walking over toward her and seems to be sizing her up as he approaches. Kally seems to look in his direction and smile though it isn't clear.

An odd thing, but possible, until another woman comes peeking through a wall, her eyes staring at Kally with a confused and unsure look. Then a young girl comes skipping in via the door that Kally just came in through and she smiles up at Kally. Kally, for her part, takes in a sharp breath and lets it out slowly.
Mercy Thompson Mercy notices the ghosts and raises an eyebrow as she gives Kally a sympathetic look, then watches a lady out of the 19230s walk right through the row of seats Mercy was sat on, as she looks to the ghost then Kally. "Interesting" Mercy says then looks over to Kally yet again, and gets up again, putting the water back in her bag after putting the cap on. Glancing over to Kally, Mercy smiles. "Hey. You got a crowd there" Mercy says with a look to the ghosts and nods to them. "You're popular" she adds, staying where she is.
Kally Looking over at Mercy as she walks up, Kally looks her over as briefly as she can but still does. She has just a hint of blush as she looks then around and then back forward, "You...you can..." She looks back at the 1920s ghost and then forward, "You can see them?" She says quietly and then looks ahead, "Yeah." She smiles, "Oh, umm, just a moment."

She then pulls out a package and a tablet. She offers both to the owner of the place before taking back the tablet and smiles, "Thank you."

She then turns back to Mercy, "Umm, care to go somewhere not so obvious to talk?" She looks at the other people here who aren't ghosts and then back at Mercy.
Mercy Thompson Mercy nods and gestures to an empty room. "In there" she says and steps id...though she's expecting Kally to shut the door. "Oh come on, there were a lot of people out in the lobby" Mercy says. "That's what I was meaning"

Half-truth...as Mercy waits patiently for Kally. Class can wait, it's a storage room anyhow that Mercy's picked to tlak in.
Kally Walks with Mercy and smiles a little at that before she idly shuts the door, which does little to stop the small crowd of ghosts that follow her in and smile at her. She smiles over at them and waves, "Could you all...umm, step away a little. I know I seem interesting but I need space." And she nods and they shrug before moving around the room to step away. She then looks back at Mercy, "Umm, I know of at least one or two people who can see them but it is pretty rare..."
Mercy Thompson Mercy looks amused at the ghosts, "They like you" she points out then tries not to laugh at the ghosts that were crowding Kally. "Yes I saw them come on in. There's..."

She reels off who is who with the ghostly crowd...as Mercy nods and looks pleased, glad she's not the only one that can se ghosts, as Mercy paces the room a little. "So what's up?" she asks looking from Kally, to ghosts, to Kally again.
Kally "Would you believe me if I said, well, that I'm designed that way." She states and then shifts a little uncomfortably, "I kinda am made to attract ghosts." She shrugs and looks over at the ghosts and chuckles and nods at them. The cop actually chuckles. She then looks back to Mercy and states, "I'm kinda like a plant and they are my sun. I need them and in return I often help them with their issues, concerns and the like." She shrugs her shoulders a little, "But...how can you see them?"
Mercy Thompson Mercy laughs. "That's not the weirdest thing I've heard. I'm a walker, I can see ghosts" Mercy says offering a hand. "I'm Mercedes. Or Mercy" she nods, watching the ghosts. "You ghosts find a spot to sit down and listen" Mercy says to the spectral crowd....as she looks amused at the ghosts. "You being designed to need ghosts isn't even strange to me." Mercy carries on with a smile, as she too finds a box to sit on, looking to Kally.
Kally Taking the hand, she gives it a rather light shake but when she does, Mercy can feel a chill. The girl's hand is easily five or six degrees colder than the room. She pulls back and shifts sligtly to lean into one leg before saying, "Honestly, I rarely find anyone who can see what I see." She states and then looks over at the ghosts as they scatter about before she looks back to Mercy, "I am not familiar with walker. I don't know what that means." She shakes her head.
Mercy Thompson "A walker? I walk from here to there, It's derived from skinwalker, a term for a witch of the Southwest Indian tribes who uses the skin of an animal to turn into a coyote, or a bear or whatever animal and go around spreading death and disease" Mercy explains. ""The white settlers incorrectly used the term for all the Native shape changers, and it stuck" she says and looks to Kally. "Would you like gloves? I didn't catch your name though" she adds and figures she can forget about class today. Dealing with a ghost magnet is way, way more interesting really. She's definitley more intrigued about this.
Kally "Oh, I see." She states and then she shifts slightly and crosses her arms, "Oh no, umm, that's just me." She takes a breath and then slowly a blue glow flows around her. Within moments she has a dark blue glow around her whole form, wavering in place and the room begins to drop in temperature. It takes all of 15 to 20 seconds but the room is now easily 15 degrees colder than it was before and the girl looks up with an unsure look, "It is part of me."
Mercy Thompson Once it gets colder, Mercy shivers and sheds her karate gear, being gloriously naked for a moment....before stepping into her coyote form and rubbing her nose against a foreleg, then wagging her tail and curling up on the karate clothes, watching Kally curiously. Somebody else who can see ghosts is a good thing. And Mercy wants to keep warm, so she figured fur would work....given Mercy's a brindle brown furred, large coyote with pointy ears. She's got her head on her paws, licking them while she watches Kally.
Kally A blink at this and Kally blushes brightly. She then looks down as the woman turns into a coyote. She tilts her head a little, shifting in her spot for a moment before looking to the side at the ghosts and then back at Mercy, "Oh, you...had to be naked for that. Huh?" She clears her throat and shifts in her spot a little before nodding her head, "Sorry about the cold but figured it'd make the most sense." She then sucks in a sharp breath and pulls back the aura. Slowly, the room begins to return to normal temperature even as she looks down at Mercy, "You are...umm, beautiful." Yeah, it was only a moment but she's still seeing both images now. The joys of youth.
Mercy Thompson Mercy just looks up at Kally and gets to her paws, strolling over and sniffing Kally a few times, before tailwagging and yipping happily, patting her ankle with a paw, then sitting by Kally....as if she's a well trained house pet. She isn't, but Mercy's certainly not normal, in the least. She's hoping Kally's picked up on what she is....human wise at least....Kally did see her nude aftr all if only for a second, and Mercy hads to admit, seeing Kally's reaction was entertaining.t.
Kally A look at the coyote, and she tilts her head at the interaction. She slowly kneels down and looks at her before saying, "Umm, I'm not sure this makes for as good conversation." She states as she idly reaches out and touches the Coyote girl lightly on the back of the neck and pets down a little, "I feel like maybe I shouldn't be petting you or something...especially after, uh that." she shifts her eyes to where teh clothes are before looking back, "Anyway, umm, that's not all there is but I think that's enough sharing for now, don't you?"
Mercy Thompson Mercy raises her head at the touch, licking hand before wagging her tail and trotting back to the clothes. One moment she's a coyote. The next, a nude half Native American girl, though she's at least turned her back to Kally, to get dressed. Once dressed she sits back on the box. "Yeah I go four pawed every so often. You know how to handle animals" Mercy nods and laughs. "So, you're a ghost magnet and a delivery girl. I didn't think they weren't to different, but when you deliver to ghosts....." she chuckles.
Kally As soona s she turns back, Kally is turned away to face the door. She waits till Mercy speaks and turns back with a slight smile, "Umm, I, sure." She states, "We'll stick with that for now." She shifts a little and then states, "You're rather...forward." She nods her head, "Err." She clears her throat, "Umm, open?" She asks as if not sure of the word. She shrugs, "Anyway, umm, yeah, I am usually more than that. I just, delivery is an incredibly easy job for me for various reasons."
Mercy Thompson Mercy shakes her head. "I grew up with werewolves" Mercy says, figuring anyone who can see ghosts isn't human. "So I'm used to a lot of flesh" she adds and looks serious. "Delivery's important job. I worked fast food. I got friendly with a few of the drivers so I know how it is" Mercy says and looks amused to Kally. "Sorry, is my lack of clothing changing forms bothering you?" she asks with a serious tone. "I mean. I don't like getting caught up in clothing when I step into my coyote side" Mercy says as her Sensei opens the door. "Sensei, I'll attend a class tonight" Mercy says, "I was resting" she adds as the Sensei looks to Kally. "Hi" he says then walks right back out. "That's as much talking as you'll get out of Sensi Yahsimura" Mercy points out once the door closes. "It's 'Hi' or 'learn' or 'leavee'" she adds with air quotes.
Kally A chuckle and she nods her head as she shifts a little, "I, well, I'm not so to speak bothered by it." She states and then looks up at Mercy before looking down and shifting in her spot, "Umm, well, it's just you're kinda hot. A lot hot." She shrugs, "Anyway..." She looks up with a clearing of her throat before looking over to the sensei and hoping he didn't hear her before waving a little before looking back to Mercy, "Yeah, uh, I took my martial arts training from a spirit." She shrugs.
Mercy Thompson Mercy blushes a bit at being called hot. "Um...um....thanks" she says after a moment, watching Kally carefully. "So you're into Native American women?" she asks with a gentle laugh as she's decided no, giving up on her class is the right idea. She's getting compliments. And then some. She's enjoying it really....as Mercy sits back on the box with a grin. "You're not that bad looking yourself" Mercy nods with a smile.
Kally A smile and she shifts a little, "Thanks." She states and then looks up a little before looking back down with a blush, "Sorry, that was a bit forward of me." She chuckles, "I'm not really good at this sort of thing. Anwyay, I'm Kally. Kally Walker. Amusingly enough." She states.
Mercy Thompson Mercy laughs and shakes her head. "Hey, being raised by a pack of werewolves teaches you a few things" Mercy says, aware of being a cougar....coyote...whatever the term is for a cougar that is a walker and a coyote and the daughter of Coyote himself.....as Mercy nods. "Don't worry about it. I'm fine with it" Mercy says, still sitting on the box as she'ss whispering to the ghosts something make yourselves at home something something stay in here? Something like that, as Mercy smiles.
Kally The girl nods her head as she looks down and then looks over at the ghosts before she considers, "Well, either way, I can't stay here all day." She shakes her head, "I have more deliveries to make. People rely on me to get things from point A to point B I suppose." She then looks at the ghosts and then back at Mercy, "It was nice seeing you...umm, meeting you." She nods her head and then shifts some and then looks to Mercy, "Coudl I maybe get your number in case I wanted to talk or something more later?"
Mercy Thompson Mercy ducks out of the room for a moment and writes down her cellphone number on sheet of paper. Then she just....casually, like she's back in Montana.strips off and steps into being a coyote again, bringing the number over to Kally and dropping it at her feet, tail wagging happily as she yips and sits in front of Kally, as if she was planning to bring her number like this.
Kally A blink and she looks at the coyote before taking the paper and then she reaches down and puts a hand lightly on the side of Mercy, "Umm, thanks." She chuckles a little, blushing some as she brushes a hand through the coat just a ltitle before standing up, "I'll see you another time." She then adjusts up her pack and starts out.
Mercy Thompson There's a sad yip from Mercy as Kally stands up. It occurs to Mercy that she didn't get Kally's number, so she trots over to her karate clothes and drags out her phone, pats Kally's foot then the phone as if to say hey, I need you to put your number in my phone. Then she looks up at Kally. Puppy coyote eyes indeed. The hand in the fur wasn't bad, either, come to think of it. Mercy's doing her best to look so innocent and such...she's thinking it may be working.
Kally A blink and then she nods, 'Oh, sorry." She then pulls out her own phone and proceeds to type in Mercy's info and sends a text, "There, I sent you a text message but I really gotta go." She chuckles down at Mercy and gives her a scritch before she turns and starts off toward the exit.
