Fiona Glenanne The dusk has settled over Brooklyn as Fiona Glennan hasn't detonated anything in a few hours. She 'cleared' out a warehouse, and decided to treat herself by shopping in gentrified stores. Fiona's already been window shopping but decides she likes the look of shiny shiny things....and steps on into a clothing store. She comes back out onto the street a moment later disillusioned and a little upset. They didn't have the clothes she wants....so she's just traipsing along the sidewlak minding her own business. She's dressed in her usual clothing, too and has her phone out with a shrug. "C'mon, c'mon, where can I find decent clothing around here?" she asks, pausing to buy a coffee from a coffee stand as she takes in the street.
Angel It is common belief that Angel, somehow, has a portal in his wardrobe that supplies an umbelievable quantity of elegant not to mention expensive black clothes. Of course, that belief can just be that, a belief, with not an inch of reality in it, not that he doesn't have a portal in his wardrobe but, well, that's probably another tale... The truth of things is that, more or less like everyone else, Angel needs to shop for his own clothes, and so it is that right now he's browsing through a selection of shirts, ranging from cotton to silk, with quite fancy buttons, costing a fortune but hey, that's elegance!
Fiona Glenanne Fi adjusts her blouse for a moment and puts her phone back into her pocket again, staying by the stand and enjoying her coffeee. Sure, it cost $3.50 but it's actually....by Brooklyn standards...good coffee. She's even given the guy running the stand an extra $2 as a tip. Fi looks up and down the street again and heads into the same store Angel's in, merely to see if they have anything she likes. She's amused by the idea of shopping in a high end fashion store, she does, after all like her shiny things, clothes, shoes, watches, guns, her car, and....so on. Barely taking a step inside, she notices Angel and gives him a look, then sets to browsing herself. She can afford this, having got paid handsomly for her 'work', or, what she and her team do to bring in money. Fi hears a cough. "Can I help you?" a young man says as Fiona shakes her head. "Oh no, I'm just browsing is all. I'll find something I like" Fi says as the helper goes to ask the same question to Angel. Fi watches him leave then looks to Angel again, and teps a pace closer. "Hey" she calls over. Totally bringing down the proprty value and decorum, Fiona. But given there's so much going on in the city....bringing a hoity toity store down a few pegs is worth it....in Fiona's book at least.
Angel Angel is running his fingertips on the sleeve of a shirt, comparing it with another, probably checking the quality of the fabric, and he seems quite satisfied judging by the look he has. Right now, the man is indeed wearing what seems a tailored pair of black pants, under a silk black shirt with what look like silver buttons, and just to not break the color scheme, a pair of black leather shoes on his feet. And surprisingly, the shirt he's looking at, is black too!
He turns slightly, to look at the shop assistant as he approaches, and it is in a quiet and patient voice that he says "it's all fine, thanks..." but he turns more, to look directly at Fiona, as she seems to be talking to, him, or the salesperson? Too loudly at least for his tastes.
Fiona Glenanne Fiona looks to Angel then to the assistant, as she nods to Angel. "Hey" she says again to Angel, albeit quieterquieter. Fi steps away to find the shoes then disappears for the moment.
Angel Angel peers at Fiona for a couple of seconds, then as she seems to disappear to do her stuff he just shrugs and turns, taking the two shirts from their support and walking towards the cash register, handing them both to the employee and waiting till he informs him that the cost has 3 zeroes in front of a 2, and Angel just pulls out 2000 dollars in neatly pressed bills, placing them on the counter
Fiona Glenanne Fiona comes back with a highly expensive, 800 dollar shoes as she waits in line behind Angel. "Nice shirts" she says with a nod to what Angel's holding, as Fi's examining the shoes she picked out. They suit her...though they're more ankle boots really than shoes. Similar to the ones she's wearing now, actually.
Angel Angel waits till the employee folds the shirts and hands them back to him in a bag, then turns to nod at Fiona "they are indeed... At least, they're good for both summer, autumn, and spring" and that's understandable too, considering how much they cost... But you have to pay, if you want to look sharp and elegant while fighting demons, after all.
Fiona Glenanne Fi looks at the shirts then Angel. "You look sharp" she nods. "Though for me it's more buy shiny things to keep myself happy" she shrugs and smiles. "So what brings you here?" she asks, studying Angel.
Angel Angel focuses fully on Fiona, since apparently she decided to talk to him. Not that he's not used to it, considering his looks, but it's not like he's encouraging it in any way too! "thanks..." he just replies at the initial compliment, then tilts his head at the question "well, to buy clothes, of course?" he replies, lifting the bag for emphasis "they have a habit of going out of fashion after a wile..."
Fiona Glenanne Fiona shakes her head, "Of course you're here to buy clothes" she says. Sassy, much? She looks amused at her wit and inspects the bag, then Angel, "You know...those all black clothing. Have you ever herd of anything else other than black and silver clothes?" Fi asks, folding her arms. Fi's not much better, really.....clothing wise.
Angel Angel just looks at Fiona "well, asking someone in a clothing store what he's doing will bring out a quite obvious answer, don't you think?" he retorts, maintaining a quite calm and neutral expression, and at the question he just nods "there are lots of other colors, right. But I like black, and silver accents give it a bit more elegance. Blue is allright too"
Fiona Glenanne Fiona shakes her head. "You could be....I don't know....waiting for somebody. That's not so obvious is it?" she asks, her fiery nature peeking through with her attitude....just a bit. "Ah but black's so boring. There's no life or color to it, is there?" she asks and looks like she's thinking she's entirely right. "I mean black, silver accents are just plain and boring" she says defensively, feeling like she's dug herself into a hole.
Angel Angel nods calmly "of course, if I were standing next to the door, with an air of mild boredom, I could be waiting for someone... If I am choosing two shirts, then buying them, and walking out of the shop, then I'm obviously shopping." he replies, and just shrugs at the comment on black and silver "well then it's easy, don't wear them when you want to look lively and not boring..."
Fiona Glenanne Fiona folds her arms. "So you admitted to being boring?" Fiona asks with a smile, a saccharine sweet smile. "Or are you saying black's a boring color either way?" she asks, looking Angel up and down.
Angel Angel peers at the woman, quietly for a moment, then replies "I admitted that everyone has an opinion and that it's not my place to judge it, and since your opinion is that black is a boring color, then, the easy answer to that is, don't wear it if you don't want to look boring. In my opinion, judging if someone is boring or not by what colour his or her clothes are is, a bit, superficial... But then, I have my reasons to wear black clothes, you probably have your reasons to find them not to your liking"
Fiona Glenanne Fi shakes her head. "Black. It's so boring" she says and sets her feet. For a grown woman like Fi she's seeming....just a little petulatn and defensive. "See. You wear black and silvery clothing. Either you love those colors. Or.....something" FI says running out of argument. "See.....my question is why. What draws you to black?" she asks, "It's just so borring and sucks in all the light. At least my style of clothing is actually visible. Are you trying to hide or something?" she asks with a suspicious look. "Somebody after you?" she inquires....fishing for information now.
Angel Angel sighs, shaking his head in semi exasperation "it can be that I just like black as it is... A matter of personal preference, you see?" he just says "and again, if you think I am boring because I am wearing black clothes, then by all means, feel free to just not talk to me. I will not be offended by that."
Fiona Glenanne Fiona looks to Angel. "You're a feisty one, ain't ya?" she asks and nods. "Oh no, I'm not offended" she says and looks like shee's enjoying the discussion, as she puts the shoes on the counter and pays $900. Cash. She's got $900 to pay with. Which is impressive....as Fiona coughs. "No, no. I'm not offended. I'm just.....trying to understand why" Fiona admits, glancing to her shoes.
Angel Angel closes his eyes for a moment, actually shaking his head in disbelief "I, was the one who wouldn't get offended by..." he sighs, shaking his head again "nevermind, suffice to say I wear black because I like black, there shouldn't necessarily be a deeper reason under it apart from a personal preference, that you obviously don't share, and I will survive with that." he shrugs, picking up his bag and then nodding at Fiona "and now, I will bring my black clothes to my car, and then at home... It was a pleasure meeting you, miss" he says, turning and walking out of the shop, to hop on his plimouth, start the engin, and accelerate towards home.
Fiona Glenanne "Name's Fiona" Fi calls after Angel, "So you're heading home. Alright. It was nice meeting you" she adds with a little wave then looks to her shoes, shaking her head at the idea of taking them to her car.
