Jason Todd It's early in the morning in Gotham when Jason sent out the text to Kitty and Carrie. Attached is a file - a plane ticket and hotel reseveration for a luxury resort in the Himalayans and a note 'Hope your passport is up to date'. Complete with a vacation smiley wearing sunglasses. To anyone else looking at it, it would look like Jason is setting up to invite his girlfriend and their best friend on a whirlwind vacation.

To those in the know, it's mission prep. Which is why Jason's in the station at the moment. He's gathering his gear, making sure it's packed in foam cases, and marked appropriately to have shipped ahead of them so it's in Nepal when they arrived. It's currently all being marked as 'Non-Perishable Goods'.
Kitty Pryde The door to the garage area opens and Kitty's Toyota Avalon pulls in. She's kept that thing without a scratch and the interior smelling like a new car, but only with plenty of thorough cleanings. She climbs out of the car and flashes Jason a smile before moving around to the trunk to retrieve some things from it. Bags and boxes are pulled out and carried over. Kitty sets them down by Jason's and then reaches her arms around him to give him a hug and sweet kiss hello.

"How is it all looking?" she asks as she pauses to look at his equipment. "Is there going to be much actual climbing, like vertical, as opposed to mainly walking up trails and such?" she asks before looking back to him.
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley arrives not long after Kitty, but she doesn't come in her car. It's left in the care of her roommate who dropped her off at an apartment building within walking distance so as to not arouse suspicion, and then she walks in the usual way. Her bag is slung over her shoulder as she'd packed pretty light for the most part: Her equipment and a few changes of clothing. The majority of things she figures Jason is bringing because, well, he is far more equipped than her in that department.

Grinning at the sight of them she lifts her hand walking over with a chuckle. "Hey you two," she greets, giving Kitty a hug from behind breifly. "Please tell me there's coffee before this trip."
Jason Todd Returning Kitty's kiss, Jason smirks. "What, and miss the view of your rump as you climb? Perish the thought." he says teasingly to the woman as he returns the squeeze. She'll notice that most of what he is packing my be pistols, but there is more traditional weapons as well. A sword. He rarely uses a sword. As he packs it away, he gestures. "I already packed some climbing gear. I have a way in once we get there, it'll cut back on the climbing time." he promises.

When Carrie arrives, he gestures over towards the old snack bar. "I think it's sentient." he says with a slight smirk, turning into a grin with Carrie greets Kitty with a hug. "I snagged a two-bedroom with one of those heated infinity pool things. Figure it's my first vacation, even if it's a working one, I'd splurge a little."
Kitty Pryde Kitty reaches around behind her to ensnare her friend and return the hug warmly. "There you are," Kitty says with a grin. She's dressed simply in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with the logo of Katz's deli on it. "I know it's a crime making you up get up on a Saturday during summer vacation," Kitty teases before letting go to move over and pour a trio of coffees which she distributes.

Kitty moves back to the preparations, opening up a case and making sure everything inside is securely packed. "I'll have a weapon delivered once we're in-country so it doesn't have to go through customs," Kitty comments. She looks up as Jason mentions the pool. "Ooooooh, nice. I wish more missions had those kind of amenities. Normally it's all, 'go crouch in this mosquito-infested swamp and watch for awhile'," she says.
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley grins at the return hug, and steps away to glance over at teh snack bar pointed out. "Sentient coffee. That would either wake me or kill me. I'm willing to take the chance at the moment." Unslinging her bag from her shoulder she drops it near where Kitty had left hers. "I'm pretty much just taking what I can. Ammo for me is pretty easy to grab given it can be anything." Looking back toward Jason she regards him a long moment with a difficult to read expression. Then she steps over and gives him a quick hug from the side before peeling away to accept the coffee from Kitty.

"Well, to be fair most of my Summer vacation is spent training or sleeping in so this is still better," she has to admit with a shrug as she takes a sip. "What's our timeline like, anyway?"
Jason Todd There's a pause, brief, and a glance to Kitty, but Jason returns the hug and presses a kiss to Carrie's cheek, before he considers and shrugs his shoulders. "I know Bruce preaches the gospel of non-lethality, but in you want something other than your slingshot..." he's willing to offer Carrie a pistol or five.

When the question of the timeline is mentioned, Jason smirks. "It's about an 18 hour flight. I got us some first class seats so you won't be cramped in coach. It should be pretty uneventful." he comments as he considers Carrie in response. "We're booked for a week in-country. If we can't get it done in that time and have some time to relax, then I don't know." There's a little chuckle at that, but Carrie's expression draws up a brow.

"Something on your mind, Care-bear?" he asks her, taking a draw from his own coffee as he checks over his helmet, before putting it in a case with the rest of his costume.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde hands out the coffees, her own having lots of cream and a little sugar, while she knows how Jason and Carrie like theirs enough to have mixed them to their tastes. She takes a long sip of it, and notes the pauses before the hugs. "So," she says, setting down the coffee for a moment so she can move over and rest her hand on Carrie's shoulder. But that's not enough of a touch, so she slips it about Carrie's waist instead if allowed, side-hugging her.

"So I'm totally going to change into pajamas and fluffy slippers on this flight. What is it, like 3 days long or something?" Kitty asks with a laugh. She looks around all the gear. "Well, I think we should have enough. You have enough copper ammunition?" Kitty asks Jason as Carrie is given the gun. It's a rhetorical question, really. Jason? Without enough ammunition? Right.
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley looks to Jason at the question with a little shrug as she takes another sip of her coffee. It was black for now but she'd add a bit more to it in another few sips so that she'd get to properly enjoy it. Waking up came first though. "Just trying to prepare for what's going to happen with the mission. I know it'll be dangerous, and I know it's going to be tough for you, Jason. Old memories and all that," she points out.

When Kitty steps over to hug her she leans in against her givin a nod at mention of the changing into pajamas. "Hey if we're first class, we can be odd eccentric people and just be comfy," she points out with a solemn nod of agreement, and a grin.
Jason Todd "I'll be fine." It's Jason's own defense mechanism, the stoic part of him that everyone else in the Batfam seems to get a shell of at some point or another. "Plenty of copper. Plenty of good ole fashioned lead as well." comes the response to Kitty with a wink towards her. Finishing his packing, he slams closed the last of his cases, and then stretches out. "Alright. Need to get these loaded and on their way via Wayne express, and us, we have a flight to catch in a few hours."

"As for the travel - at least save the changing of pajamas for when we actually get on the plane. I'd say we could take the Zeta tubes - but sometimes flight is just a little more luxurious. And since this is supposed to look like a whole thing is a trio of young people deciding to take a trip together, it makes good cover." he shrugs his shoulders. "If that makes sense?" he asks as he sets aside his coffee to head towards his own luggage.
Kitty Pryde Kitty picks her coffee back up and nods her agreement to Jason about the travel. "Yes, never know who might be paying attention," she agrees. "Not that I love long flights. Though this has more amenities than the plane I'm normally in for them." Of course that plane is one of the fastest in the world so its flights are not really as long.

Kitty sips her coffee and then asks, "Anything else we need before we depart. What time are the tickets for?" She walks over to check one of her boxes, making sure everything inside is securely strapped in so it won't shift about in transit. "Carrie, did you get your costume and equipment upgraded? I know you were seeking to at one point."
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley moves to finally stir in some sugar and cream to the remainder of her coffee so she's not left with just the after taste of black coffee. "I'm good with that," she agrees to the guidelines of travel. "Honestly I've never been on a plane before in the first place much less First Class." Anywhere she needed to go she usually drove, with the exception of that one zeta tube trip out to San Francisco.

"Yeah, the suit's upgraded. It's been doing me good so far. I just need to get myself upgraded at some point," she jokes with a grin. "I'm all set whenever we need. I pack light." Plus she knew how to fold things to fit rather well.
Jason Todd "So it sounds like we're ready. Kitty brought the car. I guess I'm covering the long term parking." Jason smirks as he sets down the coffee. Bussing by Carrie, he gives her a little squeeze before taking Kitty's hand and rubbing his thumb over the ring that she wears. "So ladies, adventure and snow monsters, and who knows what else await!" he comments as he grins towards the other two.

"And I don't think mosquitoes get that high." he points out to Kitty with a wink as he heads for the car. "Shotgun!"
Kitty Pryde Kitty pauses. "Wait, snow monsters?" she asks. It shows just how weird her life is that she really doesn't know whether Jason is serious or not. "Are there actually snow monsters? If so, fine just good to know," she says. Kitty finishes up her coffee and takes their cups to the sink to clean them. Because who likes to come back from vacation to find they have dishes to do.

She looks around, making sure everything is shut down and locked down that needs to be. "Hope you packed some warm clothing," Kitty teases Carrie as she walks over towards the vehicle. "At least you don't have to worry about sunburns. Or, well, you still do actually, just your face though."
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley groans a little bit at mention of snow monsters. And mosquitos. And sunburn. It was all stuff she often had to deal with. Picking up her bag she slings it over her shoulder again. "Course I did. Jacket, hoodie, boots, wool socks, what my roommate calls 'snow bunny pants'. All the good stuff."

Grinning she moves to follow after only to shrug when Jason calls shotgun. "I'm fine with the back. More room to stretch out. Aaand..." Glancing to Kitty she shrugs. "I don't know, you've seen the stuff in the cave. I don't doubt the Easter Bunny at this point."
