Owner Pose
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan was taking a small vacation. Etrigan was off doing whatever he was prone to do every few months. He again didn't tell her of his departure and that left the woman a bit worried about her friend. She'd decided to visit old places instead of sitting around and worrying. The Immortal was probably quite adept at not being murdered.

And she was a squishy human hybrid. So she was guessing he was in a better situation.

She'd forgotten the number one rule of her daily routine. Her Solis had not been injected prior to leaving the little bed and breakfast she'd checked into. She wasn't too concerned with the sun though. If she felt weak she'd take a break.

Her sandaled feet lead her to a familiar destination. A path leads down the cliffside to a cavern that's tucked back from the beach. You'd have to know it was there to find it. And it was what she'd investigated the last time she was here.

The day is a warm one and the smell of the sea is comforting at the moment, but there's a darkness that some can feel. And that cavern is where it comes from.
Poseidon Poseidon was investigating an anomaly, something that was caught by his magical senses during one of the sweeps of the oceanic area. It wasn't at all difficult to locate the source of that, quite odd feeling, and fortunately not hard to just teleport there... He is in his natural form, so a tall man with an ageless face, white shoulder-lenght hair, and wearing a scaled sea-green armour with a golden cloak hanging from his shoulders. And right now he is just standing there, motionless, in the middle of the same cave Morrigan herself is approaching. And his senses are literally in overdrive, receiving magical signatures from several places, without being exactly able to identify them, so far...
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan was standing there, getting ready to venture into the cavern. She wasn't really dressed for exploration, but it was a comfortable summer dress and it was a beautiful day out. She was alone on the beach for a moment and then...BAM! The violet eyed woman has to do a double take of the man that just blinks into existence. She looks to the mouth of the cavern and then back to the main in the golden cloak, "Hello." she gives a nod of greeting to him. "You...wouldn't happen to know Arthur, would you?" she asks him. Arthur as in Aquaman.
Poseidon Poseidon turns on the spot, his eyes peering at the woman who just arrived, and there he raises an eyebrow "I think on this Earth, there are at least tousands of Arthurs, you know, since that one that drew that sword from the ground and became a great king, that's a pretty popular name..." he replies, after all how can he know that she's referring just to Aquaman?
"If you are talking about the one who I lent my trident to, yes, of course I know him..." he adds then, maybe at least trying to guess who's the Arthur she's mentioning.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives a bit of a laugh, "Yes, that was the wrong way to phrase that question. Apologies." she tells the man. "Not King Arthur of Camelot, but I have a friend that knew him." she shakes her head to that. It was odd how much her life was changing. Then there's a smile, "Trident hmm? Now that sounds like the one I was referring to." she nods.

Then she turns to look at him, her overly intelligent gaze taking in the armor and the regal figure, "You wouldn't happen to be Poseidon, would you?" she asks him curiously.
Poseidon Poseidon hmms thoughtfully, his eyes examining the woman from head to feet, and then back up to lock on her face. Then he nods, letting his arms rest along his sides "It so happens that I am Poseidon, yes... And who would you be?" he asks, crossing his arms on his chest now, the golden cloak moving only a bit behind him
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives a little smile to him, "Do you feel it too, this place is a little off." she tells him. But if he was a God he probably knew that. "I'm Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre. It's nice to meet you." she states to that. "The last time I was here it was still cold and it didn't feel like this. Even though the sun is out and it's pleasant, when you get close there's something that gives you the chills." she tells him. "Or well, it might give humans the chills." she adds.
Poseidon Poseidon nods at the introduction, then uncrosses his arms, and bows at the woman "well, nice to meet you doctor, as you know I am Poseidon..." he is even so kind to omit all the titles, or he'd end introducing himself tomorrow!
Poseidon glances around, taking in his surroundings with a thoughtful expression "well, I feel it too... And it's strange, not like there's something actually magical, it's more like an echo of something, if I'm not wrong? Like a place that has seen something, not that pleasant..."
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan didn't seem like much, but would normal humans be able to tell this place was weird. She gives a look to Poseidon. "Would you like to go in?" she asks him. "I don't think there was anything bad, so much as it was creepy." she admits. "I visited here once before with a friend and he said there might have been sacrifices in the past. There was the smell of old blood." she states.
Poseidon Poseidon glances at the entrance of the cavern, then at the woman, and finally nods. "of course..." he says, and then nods again "sacrifices might explain this, sensation, yes... It surely is nothing good, and so nothing good will come out of it if we just leave it like this." he shrugs, then turns, the cloak flowing around him as he starts to proceed into the cavern itself.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives a bit of a look to the man and there's a nod of agreement, "Well we'll see if anything jumps out. I'm not heavy in knowledge when it comes to Atlantean things." she admits as she follows after the man. "We explored about as far as the first antechamber and then I was told we might want to leave. And with the smell of old blood I can only imagine that it's filled with some bad memories. And the pool there didn't seem to be filled with water when it was filled." she tells him.
Poseidon Poseidon raises an eyebrow, turning to glance at Morrigan "atlantean? You mean this place is linked to the atlanteans? YOu know it's not like only atlantean linked things are associable with sacrifices..." he says, but then continues to proceed. And just to be sure, and hopefully helpful, he summons a magical globe of light above his head, so to provide perfect elumination to both his and Morrigan's surroundings.
Morrigan MacIntyre "I'm not sure if it is Atlantean. Seemed like it might be the first place to see about." Morrigan admits. "But it could be an entirely different thing." she states with a bit of a shrug. "I'm not an expert. And I wasn't really sure I'd be back this soon to see things." she adds. She gives a look up to the light and there's a grateful look given to the man, "Thank you for that." she tells him quietly.
Poseidon Poseidon nods and shrugs "well, atlantean stuff are underwater usually, that's another thing to consider... But then again, I never exclude a possibility..." he just smiles at the thanking about the light, then keeps walking, his senses on high alert, his every muscle ready to face every eventual danger, magic at the ready on his fingertips and lips too... And he'll probably stay like that until arriving at least at the first antechamber
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives a nod to him, "That would make more sense." she admits as the travel down the way towards the first chamber. It's an uneventful trip really.

The light shines on the room when the ball finds it's way past the entrance. There is a place in the center of the room that's like a pool. There are four columns that surround it and they have sigils of some sort down them. There's definitely the heavy feeling of something bad that's happened, but it was ages ago. When the water used to travel down the very walkway that they used to get here.

Something had changed about the place though over the years, changing it from a used place to one that was long forgotten.
Poseidon Poseidon studies the place with a careful gaze, the ball of light brightening to cast its light on every shadow, dissipating them easily. He approaches the pool, and extending his right hand, a magical glow starts to emanate from Poseidon's body, quickly expanding, encompassing all the room, trying to subtly analyze and reveal eventual traces of magic.
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan heads over towards the pool and there's a bit of a look around, just seeing how things had changed over the past few months. There's been no water in the room for a long time, but the smell of old death lingered for those that could sense it.

The magic was something that had been more ritualistic in the olden days. Sacrifices to the gods to ensure that there was a good fishing season. That's easy for the God of the Oceans to pick up.

"Anything popping up?" she asks him.
Poseidon Poseidon focuses on the magic, letting it permeate every corner of the room and relay back informations to him. "yes, it looks like you were right. This was a sacrificial place, where people, well, sacrificed to the gods..." he lets the magic fade, all but the globe of light "well, to us I suppose I should say... And I should feel personally involved since part of the reasons was getting better fishing seasons too, so..." he shrugs "but apparently they went too far with the sacrifices or something, and I don't know why I didn't just obliterate them, I honestly don't remember..."
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan turns to give him a look, "I'll let my friend know that is what happened here then." she tells him. Then she gives him a bit of a softer look, "Just because you are a God doesn't mean that you can have a handle on what every human decides to do. And some people were very misinformed with how to do things sometimes." she states with a look around. "I think this is the only chamber that's not caved in. So we can't go back further. Not sure I want to know what's deeper." she admits.
Poseidon Poseidon nods, a quite sad expression crossing his face for a moment "I know, but still, I sometimes feel responsible for what some idiots did in my name, or in the name of some of my brothers, well..." he shrugs, glancing around again before aiming a smile at Morrigan "but thanks for the words. As for the caveins, well" he actually chuckles now "I am a god, Morrigan, I can probably move all the rubble away... But maybe the explorations can be for another day, right now, I think we should return to the surface..."
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives a look to the God and there's a bit of a softer smile, "Anytime. Not every day I get to talk to a God." she admits with a bit of nod to that. Then there's a look around and then back to him, "I think returning to the surface is a lovely idea. And I'm sure that we could find others if they want to explore." she admits. "Or I'd be happy to come back sometime." she adds as she heads towards the exit of the chamber.
Poseidon Poseidon Follows Morrigan to the exit "well gods now aday don't exactly walk around, even because most of them retired, since you mortals don't believe in us anymore... Or at least, never pray to us, so..." he shrugs, letting the globe of light dissipate slowly while natural light provides now visibility, since they're approaching the exit. "well if you ever want my help while visiting this place again, you know how to find me... Pray, and I'll get here"
Morrigan MacIntyre Morrigan gives him a chuckle, "I've not had much of an experience with Gods. Just a few minor dieties I should say. And I'm not sure living in New York I should pray for an ocean to appear." she winks at him. "But if I get back this way on the coast and you don't mind someone calling on you I'll do that." she nods to him. "Don't want to annoy any of the gods, really." she admits.
Poseidon Poseidon chuckles in light amusement "new york is not that far from water, you know I'm not only the god of oceans... And then don't worry, most of my days lately are pretty boring" he admits, now finally probably close to the cavern's exit "well anyways, I think I must go now... I trust you'll be safe on your way to home, hm?" he says, looking at the woman with a soft smile "till our next meeting then, doctor!" and then he bows, and in a flash of light, he's gone.
