Owner Pose
Daniel Osborn It's a warm summer's evening in Manhattan right now. It's fairly busy, and the sidewalks are a little crowded, that's pretty usual. Among the crowds is a young red-haired man, seemingly in thought as he walks along. After all, earlier in the day Oz had met up with a friend, and things had taken a drastically different turn than he'd expected, so now he's left to think about his situation, and what he's going to do. He seems to have a lot on his mind, for that reason, as he walks in silence, only the sound of his boots hitting the sidewalk being heard among the chatter of other people and the sound of cars as they pass. he's wearing his usual, jeans, DAMB band t-shirt, Tibettan prayer beads, studded bracelets, and his hair is its natural red color, kept short.
Shazam Summers usually had no shortage of stories to report for Billy. Whether it was a robbery or an alien invasion, Billy would always arrive to report on the scene no matter where it was. Thank goodness New York wasn't too far from Philadelphia. The teen had just finished writing up a report to post to WHIZ Media the following day as he stuffed his phone into his pocket and continued to walk down the sidewalk.
Daniel Osborn Oz is walking the opposite direction of Billy, meaning they're headed right toward each other. Usually Oz is paying attention to where he's going, but today, he's in his own little world of thought and doesn't see him. The way he finds out that he's about to run into Billy, well, actually he doesn't, because he does run right into billy. Thankfully they're both walking, so it's not a crash or anything, no knocking people over, but Oz's eyes do widen. "Oh, oops, I'm sorry," he says, looking at Billy appologetically.
Shazam Billy's attention focuses on Oz as they accidentally bump into each other. "Oh, no worries, dude. It happens." Billy replies, showing he wasn't bothered in the slightest.
Daniel Osborn Oz chuckles, turning to get a good look at Billy with a smile. "Guess I was just lost in my own little world," he says, stepping off the sidewalk to let others pass. "I'm oz, by the way."
Shazam Billy does the same and extends his hand for a handshake. "Billy Batson. WHIZ Media. Nice to meet you, Oz." he smiles.
Daniel Osborn Oz shakes the hand, still smiling. "WHIZ Media, huh? Is that..an online newspaper?" he asks, clearly not having heard of it before.
Shazam He nods, "Yep, we specialize in delivering the news over the Internet."
Daniel Osborn Oz nods. "Cool," he says. "So what do you report on, then? Or, are you a reporter?"
Shazam "I'm a reporter for them." He pulls his smartphone out of his pocket. "Anytime there's a potential story to report, I go to the scene or interview people and submit a report via my phone."
Daniel Osborn Oz nods. "Cool," he says. "Does anyone have to edit it or anything? Or can you just write a report and submit it, and anyone can see it?"
Shazam Billy puts the phone back in his pocket. "Yeah, we have editors. Thankfully, we don't need to worry about things like paper anymore, so that gives us some slack."
Daniel Osborn Oz nods, stroking his chin. "WHIZ Media. I should add that to the list of news sources I read."
Shazam "Why thank you!" the teen smiles appreciatively. "So what do you do, Oz?"
Daniel Osborn "Guitarist," oz says, simply, gesturing to his shirt. "Traveller, part time vampire hunter," he shrugs. "Nothing super interesting really."
Shazam "A vampire hunter, huh? I would think a job like that would have its interesting moments!"
Daniel Osborn Oz half shrugs. "I mean, it does, sure, but I don't do it all the time. Just if I see them while I'm out at night. But I don't see them as much here in New York City like I did in Sunnydale."
Shazam Billy rubs his chin. "Sunnydale? Don't think I've heard of that town before."
Daniel Osborn "Yeah, Sunnydale, little neighborhood in Bludhaven. Not that far from here. You should drop by sometime," oz says, with a slight nod.
Shazam Billy looks at how dark it's gotten and looks back at Oz. "Well, I better get back to my home. My family's gonna start wondering where I am if I don't get home soon. It was nice meeting you, Oz!"
Daniel Osborn "Pleasure, Billy," Oz says, before slipping back into the crowd and continuing on his way down the sidewalk.
