Buffy Summers Buffy Summers was finding a totally different vibe in Gotham compared to SunnyD. While in Sunnydale, vamps tended to roam mostly scattered, here in Gotham they were more organized, more intense. If it wasn't bad enough that Gotham already had a notable crime problem, it seemed that vampire gangs were running particularly rampant here, and Buffy was really needing an extra body to help out. Of course she wasn't terribly keen on inviting Spike back into her life if she could help it, but he was at least useful. For now, she wanders one of the darker streets, the same place where she ran into another vamp gang before McCoy and Oz intervened and helped her. Hopefully Spike got her message too..
Spike Spike did get Buffy's message and he's out tonight patrolling. He's got into the habit of it, and he's hoping to see Buffy too. He's turning down a dark alley and shakes his head. This is so not his natural habitat.....he's not on his couch or thinking of heading back soonish. Nah. he's so got this. So, so so got this one...and he's trouble. Looking around Spike groans and shakes his head. "Bloody typical. I get dragged out here. Corrie is on, I'm missing..." he gripes^R
Then..he spies Buffy and calls over to her. "Hey. Slayer. Over here!" he adds....well aware he's making himself one Billy Idol wearing target. Still, though.....Spike looks impressed at the darkness of the alley. "If I was stupid I'd come here unarmed" he calls. he's brought fists. A stake. but mostly fists. He goes to move and trips over a bottle, the stake in his hand clattering to the ground as he kicks it away, hoping Buffy will pick up on it and pick it up. hes showing a lot of trust by kicking it to her with the sharp end pointing at himself. Or, in other words. She's got an easy way to off him.
Buffy Summers Buffy Summers glances around, "Dammit, where is that blonde idiot?" yes, talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. And then he calls out to her and she rolls her eyes as he talks about his dumb soap..And trips over a bottle. "I mean, seriously.." she bends down to grab the stake, flipping it around so it points towards him..And then suddenly runs right at him, eyes narrowed, stake seemingly aimed at him..

But, she doesn't actually stab him, but runs right past him, stabbing the vampire right behind him. Unfortunately this vamp doesn't go poof. He just stumbles back and snarls, pulling out the stake and tackles a surprised Buffy to the ground. At the same moment, three more vamps crawl out of the woodwork, snarling at Spike, one carrying a chain, the other brandishing a knife. They start to charge Spike but pause when they realize he's a vamp too. "Heey, are you with the slayer?" they pause, confused.
Spike Spike hurls himself at the vampire that's got hold of Buffy. fists and feet flying as he yells. Something something Buffy something something vampires are below her league. "Anwering yer question" he spits between clenched teeth. "You boys need to go to a local bar and get drunk and beat yourselves up. Last one standing wins. Hop to it" Spike growls and looks to the knife. "You brought a knife? What next, somebody's going to pull a gun?" he asks. That's tempting fate...

Literally.

Spike is focused on the one pinning Buffy. Then he looks up to check where the knife is. "You cut me with that and I'll shove the knife up your..." he begins then snags a bottle, throwing it at the knife wielding vampire. Spike's got tricks up his sleeve. "I mean. If it pleases you vampires. I could say yes and be bait. Or I could say no and tell you your bosses said piss off and rob some old granny" Spike says not hiding his amusement.
Buffy Summers Buffy Summers snarls as the vamp manages to twist the stake out of her hand, holding it dangerously close to her chest. It's not that these vamps are *stronger* than the SunnyD ones, but apparently they're tougher, at least, they're not stakable. Unless she missed. Which she doesnt. She manages to twist the stake out of the vamp's hand as Spike pulls it off and it snarls and turns around to swing a punch at Spike, focusing on him instead. "You! Traitor! Why are you helping the Slayer?!" He snarls as he attempts to slam Spike into a nearby wall.

Meanwhile, one of the two vamps behind Spike stumbles and drops his knife as the bottle is thrown at him, and he picks up the bottle instead, yelling and charging at Buffy with it.
Daniel Osborn Suddenly, there's a howl, and it's not far away. It's not one of pain, or joy, or despair, it's one of rage, and the source makes itself visible, a blurr flying into the vampire that's fighting Buffy, a flash of steel in 1 hand, the other placed over the vamp's face. Both hands are clawed, and the hand over the face digs its claws in viciously, the other quickly bringing the dagger to clice through the vamp's neck. It's Oz, though he's partially transformed. He was driving past when he saw the vampires sneaking up on Buffy and Spike, and figured he might help them, but after he'd gone to park, he heard things were more violent than usual, and sensed Buffy might actually be in real danger. he saw red, and, well, here he is now, partially transformed, and not really in control of himself, but the wolf side at least knows where its loyalties lie.
Spike Spike watches and looks amused, all the while getting thrown into a wall. "Cause I love winding you vampires up. C'mon. You're all funny to me" Spike says and looks amused and whistles to Oz. "Over here" he calls, then throws himself out the way.

Oz. No. Scratch that. Wolf, side, transfored....Oh hey?B it's Oz. And he's gone psycho doggo. Spike looks to Oz, then Buffy. "Sorry Buffy" he calls then legs it to a safe spot...or, rather, to a spot not immediately liable to get him staked and/or stabbed, and/or...whatever those vampires do. Spike's ready for the fireworks with Oz.

He....just needs a lot of popcorn really. Make that buttery popcorn so he can stand there...and shove it in to his mouth and chew and throw shade from the peanut gallery. Cause Spike.......is in that mood. He's missing Corrie. He's missing his soaps. And vampires are just being rude to him. So, so not fair.
$RSpikee is not liking tonight. He shoulda stayed home!
Buffy Summers Buffy Summers attempts to cut into the vampire's neck with her stake, having already realized that they don't stake well at all. Blood spews everywhere as she draws a line along its neck, but she didn't quite cut it off clean - kinda hard with a piece of wood. However, she has other tricks up her sleeve as she eyes the dropped knife.

That's when Oz comes barreling in, in half wolf form no less, and he manages to rather brutally finish the vamp off, who drops to the ground with a hiss, its human guise slowly melting away to form the hideous, misshapen bat-winged like demon underneath. Minus its head of course. It does not go poof.

When Spike attempts to run away, the vamp who walled him snarls and runs after him, pulling out several more knives and throwing them at him with surprising speed and force.

And finally, it seems that everyone has missed the third vamp who steps out of the shadows, whipping the chain around Buffy's neck, attempting to strangle her. Fortunately she's picked up the knife by now and uses it to parry the vamp's attack, turning its strength against it and hurling it into a darkenned alley, where the two continue to exchange blows.
Daniel Osborn Spike gets no help from Oz, even though he's the one clearly in need of more help. Buffy could most likely handle itself, but Oz isn't having any of it. He goes flying into the alley, attempting to grab the vampire by the head and just rip the head off, forward, to break the spine first.
Spike Spike keeps on runnning as he is ducking and weaving the knives. "You get a knife. You get a knife. You get a knife. Everyone gets a bloody knife tossed at them" he says while running, though he has a plan. Circle around and find Buffy. Then again, he nearly got a free haircut. Not wanted. He stops and throws a punch. Oz has buggered off, no shock there, Spike thinks. He'll have words with the wolf later about this. He was the one getting sodding knives thrown at him. Oz could at least have mauled that guy. Still...

Spike's not a happy vampire, not in the least, but he's got a vampire to punch now. Tonight's looking up after all. Plus....hey, hey, Spike's got a fight. He's also liable to punch people. Oz is people. Or, he'll invite Oz over and flick to a Coronation Street marathon.
Buffy Summers The sound of 'oofs' and slams and crashes can be heard in the alley as Buffy is caught in a heated battle with her vamp. However, she'd be less than pleased to know that Oz is attempting to come to her rescue *again*. Fortunately, she's got this under control, and she stabs the vamp in the stomach, cutting it open and drawing a long line down its front so it can bleed out. Maybe stakes dont work on them but that seems to do the trick. It too, sinks to the ground, dead as well.

Unfortunately Buffy is now covered in blood and dirt. Dammit, what a mess. "Geez, this is gonna take forever to get out.." she sighs, glancing around. "Spike? Seriously? You're bailing on me?" she rolls her eyes and starts heading in his direction. The last vampire snarls and stumbles back only a little as Spike swings a punch at it. But it'll take more than that to defeat this guy. He grabs another broken bottle from the ground, and tries to hit Spike over the head with the bottle.
Daniel Osborn Seeing Buffy is safe, Oz sticks around to make sure he remains that way, but Oz's wolfish mind seems to have no concern whatsoever for Spike. As long as the vampire isn't focused on Buffy, Oz stands back to watch, still partially transformed, with blood on his claws, his dagger, and his clothes, but he seems to not care at all about that right now.
Spike Spike's not happy but he looks to Buffy. "You like like hell" he says and grimaces, ducking the vampire's bottle....again as Spike throws a kick again, taking a cue from the vampire and wielding a bottle, waving it in one hand, tossing it, sharp, jagged bits first...at the vampire

Spike then edges closer to Buffy.

"Not bailing on you" Spike calls over, watching Buffy then Oz. "Blood on my duster. Really. Go figure" Spike grunts.
Buffy Summers Buffy Summers blanches at Spike, "Oh, and I suppose you look a hell of a lot better." she smirks and steps back for a moment, watching as they trade blows. Now they' re both wielding broken bottles, and this vamp is fast and strong, but seems to be evenly matched with Spike as he sends in a kick, but the vamp is ready, blocking the attack, swinging his broken bottle at Spike's leg instead.

"Give me a break..Just finish it!" she sighs as she grabs her bloody knife, tossing it towards him. At least it'll work better than a broken bottle. "Looks like they don't stake, but cutting open their stomachs, or slicing off their heads seems to work well.." next time she'll have to bring her sword maybe. Or axe.
Daniel Osborn Oz is pretty sure Buffy will be fine now, so he suppresses his rage, forcing himself to meditate, and eventually he's back to normal, breathing a bit heavily from the adrenaline still going through him, but calming down. He opens his eyes and looks down at the blood on his hands, and the dagger still in his hand, seemingly a little surprised, but also with a bit of a frown on his face, but he stays quiet in the background for the moment.
Spike Spike looks to Buffy and catches the knife...using it like brass knuckles. If anything, Spike seriously enjoys it really slashing and slicing away. Plus, Spike's got Buffy and Oz to....well...help, if Oz didn't go back to his usual meditative, quiet self....as Spike is still slashing away. Really he's just using that knife like an extra finger as blood's flying and spattering. Spike doesn't care really....he's revelling in the fight, his eyes seem to have a darker look to them and he's tense and ready and enjoying this fight, Spike though....is definitely getting a kick out of it.
Buffy Summers The vamp is tough, but Spike proves the tougher of the two, and he makes short work of the vamp, which also sinks and sheds it human persona, dropping lifeless to the ground. Buffy draws a deep breath, wrinkling her nose. "Phew, that was..Unpleasant. And unexpected. Those aren't the usual vamps I've fought.." she sighs, doing her best to wipe the muck and blood off her face and clothes. "Seriously I need a long shower, and I need to talk to someone about this. GIles or this Constantine guy I've heard so much about. A new breed of vamp?"
