China White China White has sized up Starling City, having sent out her operatives in the form of corporate headhunters searching for talent for a lumber sales firm to purchase processed wood from the Canadian wilds. Under this innocuous cover, she's managed to ascertain the criminal networks within Starling City, after having noticed which businesses relating to shipping and warehousing would not join her business consortium's network of interests at a generous fee. The clear sign of Mafia intimidation, is refusal to make money via safe risk, particularly where it came to an easy pride industry such as Canadian lumberjacking and western Canadian shipping.

She had determined which businesses were either under the control of organized crime elements native to the city, or which were held in the outerbacker's clutches. Marijuana was the primary trade, in Canada, as were weapons and contraband intelligence tools.

Now, came time to hunt the boar. Her main office set up in the heart of downtown Starling, under a slightly auspicious label of a Chinese business consortium to ship lumber west across the ocean, to China, her Russian-speaking criminal scouts had made contact with Organitzaya elements functioning in the Slavic community under a Krysha. After the local police became suspicious through their outreach methods, she had caught herself a prize capture.

In a dim warehouse, lined with lumber bound for Asia, China White and a circle of Triads in three piece suits stood before a cop hanging from a bannister above, his shirt removed and his mouth bloody, from beatings.

"Well, Detective Reinman," she purred, withdrawing a long, hooked knife, made specifically for the shaping off flesh. "It appears that you will be a hero on the front page news after all."
Oliver Queen Green Arrow has of course been busy in both his identities. China White is a known quantity, and one he had been keeping a distance from lately in order to try to give the impression he was laying low. The man himself was a fairly public figure, so he was easy to keep track of as Oliver Queen. Green Arrow on the other hand, had been seemingly mostly concerned with the Glades lately... or so he would have China believe. He'd been working on disrupting the Arms Trade after the fungus war, and he's only managed to keep it from escalating too much. With the rest of Team Arrow busy with other matters tonight though, it was up to Green Arrow to deal with the abducted policeman. Calling the actual police for this would far too overt... he needed to be able to do shock and awe instantly.

Silently, he had gone from one roof to another. The Skybike was left behind a few blocks away so the sound didn't give him away, and he was busily making his way to a rooftop window to steathily open it with a glass cutter from his utility pouch on his quiver.

Hopefully, he wasn't too late.
China White "You see, Detective Reinman, I hold many cards, and you are my deuce."

China White draws the edge of the blade across the back of her fingernail, where it cannot cut her, before tapping the tip of the sharp dagger on her finger, smiling benevolently.

"And I am here in hopes for an ace, to fall right into my waiting lap, where a lovely little card like that belongs."

The Chinese gangster queen draws the knife across the man's sagging pectorals, eliciting a scream, with the Triads watching blankly and nonchalantly in the background. She has ordered full attention to be on her and her prey, so they are easy targets for Green Arrow when he arrives, and she is certain of it.

It would be unfitting for Green Arrow to be denied blood, when she is drawing her own.
Oliver Queen "Far too few minions for this... she's baiting a trap, or she thinks she silenced the police enough." Green Arrow muses to himself as the glass is popped out, placed on the roof, and set to the side. Silently, he stands, judges the angle and positions... and he mentally has his only tesla arrow readied as he positions his compound bow. Once the one in the middle is targeted, the arrow is pulled from it's mechanical quiver, the charge already set for contact, and he launches.

Inside, the enforcers suddenly get a jolt that jumps between the three... the sticky arrowhead clinging to the clothing like a jealous lover as the bomb within the shaft goes off, stunning all three into oblivion instantly.

It's not hard to tell the angle where Green Arrow fired from and the hole in the glass... but when China looks back, he's already gone.
China White The Triads cry out like dogs and fall to the ground, electrocuted and knocked unconscious, their suits smoking.

China White, is also gone, having left the detective hanging in position, sobbing and bleeding. The dagger she used is at his feet, wet with blood and a splash of red ochre where his chest drips down his pants and to his feet.

From the shadows of the warehouse's catwalks, having retrieved a Chinese dueling sword, China White waits, watching the lines of timber below where the lights cast a dim haze, the cop in the center of the warehouse and the incapacitated Triad suits nearby.
Oliver Queen "Got a thing for traps, lately?" Green Arrow shouts from another window. "Or is getting my attention just a bonus?"

Green Arrow flits from shadow to shadow as he descends into the warehouse, until eventually, a foam arrow is launched under the detective... and then a grapnel arrow is visibly launched at the roof, pulling Green Arrow into position to take out his utility knife and cut the ties keeping the detective aloft.

He'll have to keep China busy for sure... but Green Arrows priority is getting the detective out.
China White A shadow passes briefly, beneath Green Arrow, from above.

China White drops down from the catwalks onto the rafter that the detective is secured from, her sword held down between both hands to thrust it into the archer.

The Triad assassin is silent and determined, the only hint of her approach a moment earlier.
Oliver Queen The blade strikes true, impacting on Green Arrows suit just as he manages to cut the detective free to bounce on the foam bed he created for him.

Green Arrow, on the other hand, isn't so lucky.

Dropping down from the rope from the shock of the attack, he barely manages to catch himself in a roll as he lands on the floor. Were it anyone else, China would have made a mortal blow. As it is, the material of the suit is visibly cut a bit, but there's no blood. He'll have bruises later for sure, though.

"Enjoy that one, did you?" Green Arrow grumbles a bit in pain as he moves to stand, uncertainly.
China White China White circles Green Arrow as he lands and rolls away, her stance low and spread, her straight sword at her side and poised.

"A mere appetizer. A taste of what is to come."

China White circles with a spin and flings her arms and legs around in a slow rotation on her toe, moving to her heel as she rights herself and pulls her stance in and high, with a hop to the other foot and a thrust of the sword. She lunges, this time, high and level and straight, with a ballerina's grace in classical form of kung fu. After her sword is proferred, tip aimed at Green Arrow's jaw, she moves back to both feet and pulls her blade away with a rapid blur, although the point still remains directed at the vigilante.
Oliver Queen The bow is transitioned to a staff as soon as China is seen. "Weren't satisfied with the pacific, now you need to come after my city?"

When the sword comes in high, the staff is brought in from the left to parry it, redirecting it to his right even as he using the momentum of the redirect to spin around and out of range of China. The detective is given a look, "Run and hide!"

As soon as he's whirled on his feet twice, Green Arrow brings up the staff into a defensive position, "or were you looking for more of a challenge?"
China White "Pleasure, my friend Arrow, is my business, in all things," she croons, smiling with that lizard-like inhumanity.

"A woman such as I could not be deprived a consort, could she?" she asks, cocking her head like an iguana, before she laughs and bends down, before jumping into the air with a powerful, conditioned spring. She flips about, her peroxide locks fluttering around her, white jumpsuit flapping, before she brings her sword down with both hands at the after-climax of her somersault, with the most power put behind the blow possible.

The blade sings as it dives down, with the force of her weight and somersault, attempting to batter down with the easily defended but inertia gravid sword stroke.
Oliver Queen "A consort?" Green Arrow states more than asks, bewildered. "You've got your entire organization for people, and you come to me?"

As the sword comes down, once again Green Arrow dodges out of the way to the right, before he spins around, bringing the staff around just as she's about to land to sweep her off her feet. Literally.

"I'd almost be flattered, if your attention didn't involve sword points." Green Arrow quips.
China White China White lands on the ground with the sword ringing against the concrete inside the warehouse, in a momentary strength position to recover her flexibility, before the staff swings out across her legs.

China White's legs go out from under her and she lands on her side and back, quickly rolling to her full back and kicking her legs, one after the other, back to a standing position with a press of the arms along each kick.

Hunching forward to recover her serpentine build before swinging about to face Green Arrow again, swinging the sword into a down, then back vertical, position, in one hand, a neurological positioning maneuver to reevaluate her situation as she watches Queen, she grins widely. Like an anaconda.

"I can get any man I want, but which other man can I obtain, that would answer so fearlessly, without even a hint of my tongue across his neck? It is a rare sight indeed that a man can resist me, but rarer that one would answer truthfully without being forced to do so."

The arrogance of the woman astounding to all except her (unless you take the thousands of heroin addicts into account that worship her as a slavekeeper, knowing full well their captor's name and purpose for them), China White straightens her posture out of combat position, a side lagging as she notices the pain in her ankle. Troublesome, this one, but she would expect little else out of entertaining sport.

China White moves to put the weakened side behind her, and moves to run at Green Arrow, putting a hand up as a screen and grasping for Green Arrow as she pursues to avoid a dodge, attempting to grasp his staff and bring her sword, on the weak side, across the staff with a slake across the other end, to rake his knuckles with metal.
Oliver Queen When China goes for the staff, he switches his hand around to where the sword /was/ to avoid the attack, while simultaneously pulling down and rolling backwards, trying to bring China down and over him as he attempts to toss her with his legs into the wall behind them.
China White China White's mouth opens in a look of surprise as she's pulled over Green Arrow and flipped into the wall with a staff-assisted tomoe nage judo flip, slamming into the wall inverted.

Her sword falls from her hand and she bounces off the wall and onto her face, stunned and shocked.

With a low chuckle, menacing and awful and dreadful, she slowly pushes herself up off her chest, her head low as her white hair hangs about it, wounded leg favored with the painful rise.
Oliver Queen When the roll works, Green Arrow finishes the roll with a kip up back to where he was, before he brings the staff back up into another defensive stance. "You're not bad with that thing, I'll give you that." Green Arrow states with an air of respect, "but do you really want to get into this all night? You just kidnapped a detective, and you can bet he's going to call for backup here soon."

At this point, Green Arrow is fighting a delaying action, trying to keep China in the warehouse while backup comes. He's obviously conserving his energy.
China White China White pushes herself up, looking over her shoulder with her back to Green Arrow, smiling petulantly.

"Saving me for later, Arrow?"

She turns about and flings a shuriken, the throwing star flying past Green Arrow and hitting the transformer on a wall.

There's an explosion of electricity, and the warehouse goes dead black.
Oliver Queen Shit. He wasn't in any sort of mood to drag out a /blind/ fight.

Lucky for him, China is likely just as blind as he is.

Instead of moving to engage, Green Arrow transitions his staff back to a compound bow, then has another grapnel arrow constructed and launched at the doorway where he came in from.

The sounds of the *THUNK* as the arrow hits is the only warning China gets as Green Arrow brings himself back up to the roof catwalks.
China White There's a melodic laughter from the side of the warehouse as there's a brief twinkle of light from outside the warehouse, under the moon and from the neon signs around the warehouse, before the door slams shut.

China White is gone, departing as Green Arrow has.
