Doug Ramsey	If Sam had been there, he could've explained what was happening in greater detail when the others had their close call with the Transmode Virus. After confirming nobody had been infected and Emma Frost extracting from Doug's mind that nobody was in any danger, they had left him in peace, under watch, but still comatose. There still seems to be a struggle inside of him between Doug and the alien life form hidden inside him. But right now, he is peaceful and still, the only sound the hum of the equipment monitoring his vitals and the rasp of the respirator. His brain activity is still lit up, though.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie had decided to come check on his friend. He brought a book, as he knows it is something he and the other man share a love for. He will walk in moving a chair beside the bed, and says "Hey Doug, it's Sam, Ah got a new novel in and thought I would come read to ya if ya don't mind.
Doug Ramsey	For the moment, silence, though there is a flicker... and then one of the monitors changes into a text display. 'YEAH. I WOULD LIKE THAT.' A moment's pause, and then 'I HACKED THE EQUIPMENT THEY'RE USING TO MONITOR MY BRAIN ACTIVITY. NEAT, HUH? I CAN CHECK MY E-MAIL FROM HERE.'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie blinks and looks over at the machine "Well damn, Ah did not expect you to answer, but it is good to see ya in there bro. How ya feeling besides shot?
Doug Ramsey	'WELL YOU KNOW I THOUGHT I'D GET UP AND GO FOR A WALK BUT I'M STUCK HAVING AN ARGUMENT WITH A TECHNO-ORGANIC VIRUS. I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO READ TO ME.' Doug is still. 'IT'S TRYING TO PROTECT ME. IT SAYS THE ONLY WAY IT CAN IS TO CONVERT ME INTO A TECHNO-ORGANIC LIFEFORM. A DOUGLOCK... IF YOU WILL. I AM RESISTANT TO THE IDEA.'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie nods, a bit and says "Yea, we encountered one of those a few years back called itself Magnus. Was from an off shot future. Ah have faith in you Doug, as long as you are you, things will turn out ok and we will support ya anyway we can.
Doug Ramsey	'THE WHOLE THING RAISES A LOT OF QUESTIONS. I AM TRYING TO WORK OUT A COMPROMISE WITH IT, I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO DO.' That would seem almost droll, if Doug was actually saying it. 'I'M SCARED. ALSO, I THINK EVERYONE IS GOING TO REACT TO ME LIKE I'M INFECTED WITH ELECTRO-GONORRHEA, THE NOISY KILLER.'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie chuckles and reaches over to pat his friend's good arm. "Did we react to Lock that way? He will ask his friend. "You are in a place where folks will accept you in most any way possible, and not judge you. You find your way through this and I will come down and read this book, unless you got one you prefer I read."
Doug Ramsey	'I DON'T SUPPOSE YOU COULD SLIP A RED BULL INTO MY IV.' Doug asks. 'THIS SUCKS.'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "Ah think that would get me banned from coming to see ya to me honest. The doc and Josh were both a bit freaked out with how things were going for a bit. They were wondering if we needed to call someone Ah told them your family was here."
Doug Ramsey	'WELL I WOULDN'T TELL THEM.' There is a pause. 'NO, HUH. SO DID YOU HEAR ABOUT ILLYANA?'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie shakes his head and says "No, what happened with Illyana, I know Rahne ready to kick a lot of ass. " He will tell the other man.
Doug Ramsey	'NEVER MIND.' Doug's monitor is still for a long time. '...SO HOW ABOUT ASKING KITTY OUT HUH? CRASH AND BURN, MAN. CRASH AND BURN. I WAS LIKE 'TODAY IS THE DAY I GO FOR IT, GRAB LIFE WITH BOTH HANDS' AND THEN...'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks to him, and says "Well, choose when she just had a near death experience might not have been the best time. We were all sorta wiped, we thought we were goners. Ah aint sure if Ah did die or not to be honest.
Doug Ramsey	There is naught but silence from Doug after this, the cursor on the monitor he hijacked blinking on and off, slowly.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "Ah gave Alek what of my air ah could, trying to give him more chance to make it. Ah was not sure Ah would come back if I did buy it, but he is a kid you know." He will tell the other man. And now your like this, will suggest ya wait a week or so before asking her out again, or you will be wondering if this had anything to do with it."
Doug Ramsey	'I AM AN IDIOT.' The text displays. 'A BIG IDIOT. IN FRONT OF BATMAN AND EVERYTHING. WHY DO YOU TAKE ME ANYWHERE?'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "You are not an idiot, a goof perhaps, but not an idiot. You did not know fully what we had been through. You were probably still just thinking hey they got to cool trip to the moon. ah do need to learn to say that Baweep thing right"
Doug Ramsey	'THE UNIVERSAL GREETING. IT'S NOT ACTUALLY MAGIC. IT'S BAH-WHEEP-GRAAAAGHNAH WEEP NI NI BONG. THERE ARE ACCOMPANYING HAND GESTURES IF YOU WANT TO BE FORMAL ABOUT IT.' Then he adds, 'I STILL CRASHED AND BURNED.'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks to the other man and says "We all do, Ah seem to remember someone likes to tell stories about how many times I have crashed into things." He jokes with his friend
Doug Ramsey	'THAT'S DIFFERENT. THAT'S ME MAKING FUN OF HOW MANY CONCUSSIONS YOU'VE HAD. YOU DON'T STRIKE OUT WITH WOMEN.' Doug's eyelids twitch. 'I JUST WANTED TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, THAT'S ALL. MAYBE TAKE HER DANCING. I'M NOT THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE RIGHT NOW.'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "Well make sure she knows that, and I wager she will want to go out. She could use it and so could you. Just bad timing and it happens to all of us. Ah ever tell you about the fight Ah had with Lila, and then she crashed her plane?"
Doug Ramsey	'NO.' Flashes across the monitor. 'I'D ALMOST RATHER HEAR THAT ONE THAN... WHAT DID YOU BRING ME TO READ?'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "It is the new Jason Gurley book, I just got it a few days ago and had not started it yet. I am not sure if it is any good or not." He will tell what seems to be a catatonic Doug."
Doug Ramsey	'NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT TO FIND OUT.' The text on the monitor flashes.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie will set down and start to read the book to Doug. He looks over to the monitor Doug is using to communicate and says "Wanting me to do the voices?"
Doug Ramsey	There is another long silence, before the monitor simply displays, 'YES.'
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie will start with the voice, and says "No giving me grief if they all sound like they come from Kentucky."
Doug Ramsey	'JUST GET TO THE STORY, HILLBILLY, I COULD USE THE DISTRACTION.' Cheeky cuss.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit and reads a bit more to the man, going through three chapters or so of the book the first night.
