Owner Pose
Mercy Thompson The sun's up over Central Park as the park, or the little bit of it by the trees anyhow's been grabbed for a bake sale. There's tables and chairs set out, umbrellas and parasols instead of awnings, a bring from home bake sale. Of course, there's that one person who is taking it too seriously. Mercy isn't that one person, she's brought a cheap lawn chair, a card table and an umbrella to work as a stall. The garage isn't open today, mostly due to Mercy's desire to help her local community.

The birds are singing, the smell of baked goods is in the air. Something something local area something help the community. Mercy's got her coveralls on though, hair tied back and is lounging in a lawn chair, just waiting. Surely nobody can resist fresh from the oven brownies and cookies....though the five layer cake next to Mercy's table is a bit much, she's thinking while giving it dirty looks.
Andre Jackson     Dre walks to the park, having come to New York to visit his aunt. His mother wanted him to go check up on her as she hasn't heard from her. She loaned him her car, seeing as his was in the shop. Today he arrived and found that his aunt was doing alright, she had been spending time with her girlfriend, so the mystery was solved. So now he was wandering around in the park, but having ventured to Central Park, he stumbles upon Mercy and the Bake Sale. He smiles as he sees Mercy, "Hey Mercy." He says to her as he walks over to the table, "Mind if I join you?" He asks.
Mercy Thompson Mercy nods and gestures to the grass, "Pick a spot. How're you doing?" she adds and nods to a customer, "That's 45 cents for a cookie" she says and nods making a bag out of a sheet of paper for the cookie and nods, looking back to Dre. "It's for the area, we all got together to bake and help out" she says with a nod before she places more cookies on the plate on her table. "Oh, your car's still in my shop" Mercy says with a smile then looks amused to Dre. "I bake, now you know" she winks tapping her nose with a finger.
Andre Jackson     He chuckles and sits down with Mercy, he pays for the cookie and nods his head, "This is pretty cool of you all to do." He says to her. He takes the cookie offered to him and eats it, "This is pretty good." He smiles to her. "I may have to buy some more, and thanks again." He tells her. "I appreciate it that you're working on my car. I will pay once you're done."
Mercy Thompson "No worries" Mercy nods looking impressed at the plate of cookeis then Dre. "May have to buy one huh? I figured you'd be at the rec center today waiting on your car. Instead you're here sitting by a table talking to me. Well" she nods, shoving a fork into a brownie to ensure it's baked right. "Yeah your car is....sort of trouble. I figured out what was done with the wiring, but the problem is to replace it I need a specific wiring loom, which I can't get without ordering from the manufacturer, runs me up $550 for itt" she says and settles back in her chair.
Andre Jackson     He nods, "Do what you can." He says to her simply. "Well I'm here mainly to check up on my aunt, my mom hadn't heard from her sister in a bit, so I was asked to come up and check on her." He chuckles. "She is doing fine and now I'm here sitting with a very pretty woman and eating cookies." He chuckles.
Mercy Thompson Mercy pauses at being called 'pretty'. Not the word Mercy would go for,but sh laughs. "I may just have to breka your car and sell it for parts, ya know?" she says nodding keenly to emphasise her point. "I'm not the prettiest in the park. I'm girl next door look" she adds then smiles. If 'girl next door' happened to see ghosts and was raised by wolvs, Mercy thinks to herself. She does nod at the cookies remark though. "Thanks, I was up early baking. Turns out five in the morning's a good time to start baking really" she says with a wae of her hand looking to the brownies. "What. Nobody wants a brownie? I didn't put weed in it or anything" she jokes. "Maybe I ought to, sell them to college kids, ya knoww?" she jokes.
Andre Jackson     Quirking a brow, "Well if you do that we both make money, if you remember I did offer to split it with you." He laughs. "Still the Girl Next Door isn't a bad look either Mercy." He says to her simply not deterred in the least. But he knows when not to push so he doesn't. "I will take a brownie." He says simply, "How much for a Brownie?" He asks. "Now you already know you would sell all of your stock an they would come back for more." He chuckles.
Mercy Thompson Mercy nods, "You think I want stoners buying my stuff? It'd keep a roof over my head" Mercy shrugs, "But I'd get shot no doubt really. Still" Mercy points out with a smile. "Still though, girl next door works for some people doesn't it?" she adds looking impressed, shaking her head as she slides peanut butter cookies onto the table. "I'm all set up now see, I got this" Mercy says standing behind the table, wondering how to lure people over.
Andre Jackson     Andre smirks a bit and nods his head, "Hey weed don't hurt no one." He laughs. "Still you're right it would keep a roof over your head so you would be set." He rubs his face a little bit as he polish off his brownie and he looks around as Mercy gets up, he nods about the Girl Next Door look, he likes it at least. "It's a nice summer day, believe me people will see you and come over, no worries."
Mercy Thompson Mercy looks thoughtful at the idea of a career change, though she laughs. "And probably get the NYPD busting me for it, right?" she says and watches a small crowd gathering nearby. "See, people came over. Hey can I interest you people in cookies or...?" she asks as the cake that's next to her tablee ever so slowy, in slow motion, slides over, leans over and slides off the table. Impressively, it lands plate side down. Mercy's almost impressed though she's ot a few curious customers looking for cookies. "I missed a trick with not selling drinks, you think people would be, huh?" she asks.
Andre Jackson     He grins a little watching Mercy, he looks to the crowd and he gets up from where he is sitting. He finishes off a cookie and walks back over to Mercy and buys more cookies, "I can help too." he whispers and as he does he make a point of eating a cookie, "Theses are really good, I'm glad I came through here today. Thank you ma'am." He says to Mercy helping her as well.
Mercy Thompson Mercy looks amused then nods, "See, cookies are good, so what've we learned today?" Mercy asks looking amused as the crowd are buying cookies. "Bake sales are great" she adds and nods to Dre. "You like anything else?" she adds with a wry grin. "There's peanut butter cookies, ther's chocolate chip cookies, I tried making pecan cookies too but my neighbors across the street grabbed those" she admits, tying her hair back again.
Andre Jackson     He buys the cookies she offers and smiles catching her meaning. He then walks off to the side and sits down, "Thank you very much, these are the best." He says as he enjoys his backed goods and he nods to one of the would be patrons, "Come on try it, they are really good."
Mercy Thompson Mercy looks amused. "You trying to get me to hire you to walk around and draw people to my table?" she asks, not entirely joking. Looking over again, Mercy starts selling cookies too, settling in with a nod, selling cookies by feel and smell pretty much, the money's piling up as Mercy pockets it looking impressed, then frowns. "Okay I'm out of brownies"
Andre Jackson     He chuckles, "I could but you seem to be doing a good job yourself." he says too Mercy. He looks at the gathering she is getting and he smiles and waves to some of the people lining up to buy her baked goods.
Mercy Thompson Mercy laughs. "Yeah but I could always learn right?" she asks with a glance at the cookies, then the empty brownie plate. "See, I'm slacking, I got a lack of brownies and things, if I was really getting the hang of this, I'd bring more cookies, more brownies and everything" Mercy says with a look to Dre. "Unless you got any cookies stashed away, right?" she adds with a laugh again, looking serious for a moment.
Andre Jackson     He shakes his head a little, "Nope I don't have any more cookies outside of the ones I bought." he smiles at Mercy enjoying this way too much. "I can't bake, I can cook, but not bake, thats not one of my skills."
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller come walking along the path looking about. It seems the big man maybe looking for someone as he walks. He has a picknic basket carried with him. Some might think a guy his size carrying something like that odd, but when you are his size most who might think it won't say it to you.
Mercy Thompson Mercy's trying not to laugh, "So it's just me who finds random cookies everywhere? Ah" she says with a nod. "Figures, I've just got this thing of finding cookies in my oven after I put them in then get to working on cars" she says still selling cookies as she talks, looking amused, highly, highly amused.
Andre Jackson     Andre laughs, "Well hey I said I can cook so if you wanted to sell dinners, I'm your man." he tells her. "It's been a while since I've done a barbecue." he says a moment, "We can do that sometime and sell some dinners." he tells her.
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller walks over and smiles as he sees Mercy. He will walk over to her leaning in to kiss her cheek "Hey I brought some food, thought might be a nice day for it." He nods to Andre.
Mercy Thompson Mercy waves ahand to the crowd. "I got into a bake sale selling cookies. If you got any cookies in there hand 'em over" she adds then looks to Dre. "Barbecues. You want half of the city's firefighters to turn up because somebody got jumpy and called 911 to report it?" she asks sounding like she's seen that before. Mercy has. Nodding to Joseph Mercy grins. "Yeah you heard. Bake sale. I got dragged into it" she says with a nod looking entertained as she stays behind her table. No way she's leaving her cookie plate unguarded.
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller smiles and says "No cookies, and all of it is bought none of it is home made, since I did not want o give ya food posion." He says to her.
Andre Jackson     He frowns, "Fine." he says as he walks over to where she is and hands her a bag of his peanut butter cookies. He shakes his head and goes back to sit down with a bit of a smirk.
Mercy Thompson "And I didn't need my wrenches, either" Mercy points out with a nod. "Just me saying hand over the cookies. What, am I that scary?" she asks with a little giggle. "I mean, okay, more cookies to sell. Good" she says and nods to Joseph. "That...is why you buy things, leve the cooking to pros, and baking to me" she says gesturing to the cookie plate, with a nod. "See, I'm good, and I got a knack for baking. I got a knack for baking good things" she adds, the cookies slowly being bought up.
Joseph Miller Joseph Miller smiles and reaches to get one of Mercy's cookies. She has time to swat his hand if she wants but if not he is stealing one of the cookies to try.
Mercy Thompson Mercy does indeed go to swat Joseph's hand away, "You pay for that cookie" she scolds. "45 cents. Girl's gotta make a living" she says with a nod, though given all that money's for charity it's good as Mercy smiles. "No, you don't get to take a cookie" Mercy says though that's more for a crowd that's gathering, if only for the baked goods.
Andre Jackson     Andre laughs, "She didn't do that to me." Andre walks over to buy another cookie, "I'm going to have to come by your place for more if you let me." eh says
