Ororo Munroe Though it's not an invitation to barge in at 2 AM, Ororo's open door policy is simple: her door's always open. Sometimes it's for students suffering a bout of homesick or nightmares; sometimes it's for staff needing a respite from the grind of dealing with the student body.

In the evening after dinner, Ororo usually starts some water simmering on the stove for exactly that reason. The doors to the roof are flung open, allowing a fresh New England breeze to stir the leafy plants that fill her living space. Soft music plays from an old Victrola in the corner, authentic LPs crooning out a mellow tone that hums merrily in tune with the well-seasoned wood in the attic.

Ororo busies herself watering her plants with a small gardener's can. Her attire is quite casual, a baggy, shoulder-less dress in black and white with a bold floral pattern, loosely belted around her waist. She hums in time with the music creaking from the corner, hair styled straight and hanging to her shoulderblades in tumbling white waves.
Kitty Pryde The soft sound of footsteps announce the arrival of a pair of people. Kitty raps softly on the door frame, standing there in the doorway with Peter Parker. The man's arm is about her waist, confirming any rumors she might have heard about them dancing at Betsy's party, and holding hands during time off from the school.

Kitty has a bag of chocolate covered cocoa nibs in hand. "Do you have room for a few unannounced guests for tea?" Kitty asks with a soft, warm smile. She detaches herself from Peter to go over and offer Ororo a warm hug. "Oh it feels like it's been forever since we got to talk," Kitty says.
Spider-Man Pete smiles after Kitty as she makes her way over to hug Ororo and brings now free hands up to rest with his fingers laced atop his backwards blur METS cap, "Hey, Ororo." Glancing hither and tway as he slips through to take a look at some of the antiques. A little surprised he's never been up here... but why would he have?
Ororo Munroe Ororo turns and a delighted smile crosses her face at Kitty's presence. "Kitty! Of course, my door's always open," she assures the girl. The watering can's set aside on a little coaster for that precise purpose, and she dusts water and soil from her palms on a little towel. Once her hands are cleaned she embraces Kitty warmly and hugs her close.

"It /has/ been too long." She glances from Kitty to Peter, and an enigmatic smile crosses her regal features. "And this must be the infamous Peter, who has by all accounts stolen Kitty's heart. You're quite welcome here, Peter," Ororo assures him, and crosses over to offer him a very polite and gentle handshake. "Do you like tea, Peter? I have cocoa or coffee, if it's more your preference."
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde smiles brightly as they share the hug, the woman having been like a mother to her early on during Kitty's first years at the school. Though that had turned to more of an even friendship years ago, about the time Kitty left for England.

Kitty turns towards Peter as Ororo brings up the relationship. "He rather has. I considered calling the police, but he seems to have such a gentle touch with it, that I've grown rather happy with the arrangement of late," Kitty says. She grins over to Peter, reaching over to slip her hand into his. "Oh, and I brought you these," Kitty says of the cocoa nibs, offering them over to Ororo. "So what has been keeping you busy of late? And are you ready for school to start up? Will Rogue be your TA again?"
Spider-Man Upon being acknowledged, Pete grabs the hat from his head and tucks it in his back pocket, then takes Ororo's hand in polite handshake as well, "Yes ma'am, guilty as charged..." Blushing only a little when he turns his silly grin over to the brown haired woman whose heart he should have an APB put out on him for stealing.

"If it helps at all..." Playfully defending himself with his hands out forward "She kind of took mine in exchange... which may not be a fair trade, but sure means a whole lot to me."

He smiles easily and scratches the back of his neck absently, "Oh... tea, yes ma'am.. Or coffee.. but probably tea."
Ororo Munroe "Katherine has always been a reprobate," Ororo assures Peter with a laugh that chimes like church bells. Her rich voice easily fills the room with her exotic accdent. "Do not worry, Peter, you're among friends. And please, 'ma'am' is for students and the workday. You're taking tea with me." She hooks an elbow around Peter's forearm and with a masterful display of passive authority, nudges him towards the little sitting area tucked into an alcove. Though there are proper high-backed chairs around the small coffee table, the pile of blankets and pillows around it suggest it's meant for a more informal Moroccan-style cafe arrangement with people sitting on the floor.

She urges Peter to find a comfortable place to sit, then Kitty as well. Ororo heads back to the kitchen and carefully settles cups, teapot, kettle, and a wooden box of loose tea all on a serviette. It's brought over and she hunkers gracefully down on her heels to set the tray on the service table. Her dress is tucked behind her shins and she carefully settles her weight onto her knees so she can start pouring hot tea into the three small, handle-less cups.

"I have some black tea from England that is quite good, Peter, if you like Earl Grey. There is green jasmine and chamomile if you liuke something more traditional; I also have rooibos, and some teas from Rwanda you might like if you enjoy new flavors." There is a very little bit of cream, honey, and sugar on the service tray, but it's clear Ororo only included them for formalities sake.
Kitty Pryde Kitty smiles at Ororo's reaction to Peter. But then he is a sweet, charming man so it doesn't surprise her at all. Kitty moves to sit near to him, in that way that young couples often do, not wanting to be parted for very long if they have the option. Though Kitty focuses her attention on Ororo as she prepares the tea.

"We go way back," Kitty comments to Peter. "Ororo was one of the people who came recruiting me to the school, actually," she says. "Took me out for something to eat while the Professor talked to my parents." Kitty leaves out the rest of the story. Maybe something to share another time.

She gets a cup of tea, holding it in both hands. "I was hoping Rogue might join us, but haven't seen her about much lately," Kitty says with a small frown.
Spider-Man Pete loops his arm for Ororo and is fairly easybto guide, "I certsinly hope so... but honestly I feel I'm the scoundrel and shes the Princess.. not that I subscribe to the notion a Princess can't be a scoundrel...." Smiling first to Ororo as he sits, and then to Kitty with a hand out to rub her upper arm affectionately.

Nodding first about tea, "Yes, m-, uh Ororo, Jasmine will be just fine. Can't say I have much experience, but I'm open to trying new things." Smiling over at Kitty with a glance back and forth between the pair, "Really? So you're one I need to thsnk for making sure I eventually stumbled onto her here?" Laughing at himself with a little wave, "Sorry, I usually have a better sense of comedic timing... I feel like someone driving while texting, though..."
