Leonardo Leonardo was in an alley outside Bushwick's Museum of Cultural Art in Mutant Town. The last time he was here, a rescue was conducted. It also initiated what would be a life-changing path for Cody Garrett, now known as the mutant Nemean. Following the rescue of Pippi and recovery of Nemean, Splinter had begun to try helping the lion back from the brainwashing that was thrust upon him.

Seek out Leonardo, the old rat said. Have him show you places from the past, to help trigger memories of the truth. Leo was more than a little skeptical of the plan, though it seemed sound on the surface. If the worst of Kitsune's influence was past, there could be something to work with here. Only time would tell.

That didn't mean he wouldn't have backup, namely in the form of Michelangelo atop an adjacent roof. They'd already discussed contingency plans in case something went awry. Now it was up to Nemean to show up.
Nemean Splinter made it very clear Nemean wasn't to be seen when they were doing these missions. So he left the motorcycle at home. Instead he came on foot, the large lion showing up down the alleyway after a few minutes, "I remember the museum." He says to Leo, as he looks across at the turtle with his night vision enhanced eyes.

"You guys were here to rescue someone. This is where Alopex turned on Shredder.." He frowns a bit, "Who were you guys saving? I never did find that out.."
Leonardo The blue-masked leader of the turtles maintains a generally cautious sort of body language, though the katanas are tucked away in back against his shell. How this goes will tell him much about how trustworthy Nemean is at this stage, something Splinter is no doubt counting on Leonardo to report back on afterward.

"If everything goes well, I'll tell you. I don't think I actually saw you that night, but we made our way in from below and faced two of Shredder's newest 'recruits,' you could say," the turtle explains, eyeing a side door. "Do you need to go inside to help with the memory? I can show you the hallway we were in. And yes, it's where Alopex defected. I tracked her down not long after that because I needed to talk to her about things. She'd been an enemy of ours until then."
Nemean "No.." Nemean says, as he looks at the back door for a moment, "I remember seeing her, Shredder, Koya and Bludgeon, and you and your brothers." He says, "Alopex ran right past my car when she fled, I was able to pick up her general direction from the dash cam, and then follow her trail. She was hurt, after all."

He rubs his head a bit, "I remember I found Winterfall, and then she found me outside.." It's still a bit hazy, and he growls faintly, "She was cautious, but nice. I don't remember the first time you and I met, though."
Leonardo "Right. I never visited that place until we got you out of the bar after you set the trap to lead us to Pippi," Leonardo explains, turning away from the door. He lets Nemean speak as much as he needs to in recalling the sighting of Alopex in particular, then he looks outside the alley. "I do remember. Follow me. The good news is it's right down the street."

As Michelangelo moves above to keep tabs on the pair, Leo leads the way up to a rooftop rather than using the streets themselves. It's a few buildings down, but once he's certain he's got the right landmarks of other buildings across the way from the alley, he points down a fire escape ladder and descends. "Alopex had me call you, and this is where we met. You made a Deep Throat joke and we talked about Shredder, then you talked about...actually, that's for you to tell me. What else do you remember about this spot?"
Nemean The lion puts one of his paws against the wall after jumping down into the alleyway, trying to think about it, "The shipment." He says, as he can practically feel the clouds lifting. Splinter told him it would hurt, and it does. He can feel a throbbing in his skull, "The Triad were bringing something in..We didn't know what."

There was something else, but he couldn't quite remember it, then it hits him like a punch to the gut, "The Punisher. You didn't want him along, I agreed." And of course that in itself helps dredge up other memories, of Nemean helping Frank out of a couple of jams. Which means that Punisher didn't really try to kill him..
Leonardo Nodding slowly, the ninja turtle crosses his arms and finds the same spot he stood in when they met. "What was I wearing?" he asks, testing that part of Nemean's memories. It might not be the most important detail, but it is one that could help. "And that's right. I had problems with the Punisher's methods, and after you told me what we were needed for, I didn't want him along because I thought it could go bad in a hurry."

The next question, though he's keeping a close watch on how Nemean is handling things, is a key one. "Where did we agree to meet for the shipment?"
Nemean "You were wearing a goofy trenchcoat and fedora. That's why the Deep Throat joke.." He says, laughing a little bit. Probably the first time anyone's heard him laugh in this form, "It's all starting to come around now..We met.." He hrms, and rubs his muzzle for a moment, "Near the docks. The ones the Cantoli...No.." He shakes his head, "I can't remember which family controlled them. One of the Itallian ones.."
Leonardo Leonardo perhaps should not have brought up the Deep Throat joke, but it didn't hurt matters with the rest of the memories. The laughter, at his expense or not, brings a raised brow from him, seen as lifting that part of the mask up briefly. "It started with a G. Try to focus on that. Aside from that, how are you feeling?" he asks, giving Nemean an opportunity to figure it out from here. "The docks aren't that close to where we are right now, so unless you have a faster way of getting there we could be out all night."
Nemean "Head hurts." Nemean replies, as he rubs the side of his head a bit, "I'll take some painkillers when I get back to my safehouse.." He considers the second part of the question, and then nods.

"The docks are quite a trek." Nemean says, as he looks over Leonardo, considering for a moment, "We should meet there. Tomorrow night. Earlier, so we have the time we need." He looks up above him at Michelangelo, who he's been aware of for a while now. "You should tell your brother not to snack when he's supposed to be on overwatch. But I have a feeling you've told him that before."
Leonardo Leonardo refrains from offering a hand in support or anything along those lines, keeping a more respectable distance apart, just in case. All the same, a hand does begin to lift before shifting to the back of his head to adjust the knot of the mask.

"You've already had to think about a lot, and Splinter only just recently started helping you get through this. It's true. The docks are too far for us to reach on foot tonight. Best you go back home and sleep. You'll need your rest for the next part."

They'll work out a time while Michelangelo looks down just as a wrapper from a piece of pizza he brought with him comes floating down. "Sorry, dudes!" he calls to them, waving sheepishly.

"Trust me, I have," Leonardo deadpans.
