Joker Arkham Asylum is not for the faint of heart. It sits high up on a hill overlooking the dark brooding City of Gotham with a perpetual rain cloud clung to the ceiling of the metropolitan like a cloak. The city that never smiles, they say. What then does it say about the Asylum's most infamous patient?

The Clown Prince of Crime has been in medical for almost two weeks following a savage beating at the hands of the guards. Medical personele from Gotham General have been brought in for the sole purpose of covering Arkham's bases with regards to potential law suits, but they've not been anywhere near the most reviled human being who has ever defiled the hallways of this most disturbing facility.

After hours spent in argument it was finally agreed that they would move Joker to a high security wing of Gotham General under extreme sedation. He needed advanced medical treatment, an MRI, and evaluation for potential brain damage. Given the severity of his injuries and the clandestine nature of lawyers looking for any reason to press lawsuits... the Warden begrudgingly agreed.

Flanked by now fewer than Six guards and in a medically induced coma with enough Etomidate to kill a horse, an intubated Joker is still straped down to a medical gurney being rolled across the courtyard towards an EMS waiting near the front doors of the gothic designed facility "If he even /twitches/, jack him full of enough of this to put down a rhino..." The medical team nodded that they understood and moved along watching monitors.

It was a very tense situation.

What none of them know... what nobody knows really... is Joker had spoken to his ''lawyer'' a few nights prior to the beating. Through that lawyer, who had access to a rather sizable fund attached to an offshore account, certain ''arangements'' were made.

It's always part of the plan.
Domino     The waiting is the most boring part of a job and Domino is dressed just for that exactly. A job. She checks her guns, rolls her shoulders back as she begins to stalk forward towards the EMS. She's dressed in a uniform. a hate over her hair and head ducked. She comes around the side of the EMS and nods to the guards - all official with badge and certification strapped to her front pocket. "We don't have room for you all." She begins. "Just a couple and the rest follow."

She nods to the driver who moves around front to get into position. Domino's made sure she's got trusted friends in the right places. The rig on the inside of her button down sits flush to her body and even as she turns gives no hints of being anything underneath. She waits for the guards to acquiesce as she checks Joker's pulse and then asks what he's been dosed with. "He's down. He will not be moving anytime soon, so lets get rolling."

She climbs into the back with and allows the two or maybe maybe three other guards to follow her in. She moves to settle into a seat at the side, reaching up to set up and IV - which she is not trained to do and might find her employer is not happy with. But liquids are set up. The passenger side taken by another as she arches a brow but does not speak.

Four. Count em four. She was planning for three. Plans off go wrong. "Good to go." she says as the doors are shut.
Joker The patient remains so still as to be a corpse if not for the steady rhythmic beat of his heart running along the monitor set beside Domino. A constant 65 HR... even when she jabs an IV in him and begins pumping god knows what into his blood stream it remains stationary with only a beat or two deviation. Whatever they have him on is stellar and has no business being used on the private market, except for by serial killers and extreme sleep junkies.

That's why he's being tubed.

Literally no function is working. He is, by all clinical definitions, a corpse.

Or should be.

The guards climb in with only a slight skepticism, but space is space and they are carrying very large weapons. Mostly pistols for firearms, but they've got shock-batons, which can be prove just as problematic in enclosed spaces such as this. The driver, with Domino's nod, tips his EMT hat and moves around to the front seat with his partner, "Can you believe who we're hauling?" He asks with only a slight ''worble'' to his voice, "Man we could end this right now..." says the second, "I hear that fucker's killed more people in Gotham than any two crazies combined..."

Joker is very unpopular.

For very good reason.
Domino     Domino watches the heart monitor before glancing down at the prone figure of the Joker. She sets her shoulders back as she focuses on the conversation going on ahead of her. As the truck starts to pull out, they are wobbled back and forth a moment before they pick up some speed and start to pull away from Arkham. It begins to get smaller the further they get and its not until they make a right that anything starts to register as off. Right is not the way to the hospital. Gotham General is in the other direction.

Before the guards can start to question her driver, Dom is moving. Her first is formed and with a backward throw centered on her elbow staying low, her knuckles crack heavily into the guards nose, blood suddenly streaming and blinding him as his eyes tear up. Calm. That is what this is.

As he grabs at his face she starts forward, lifting her leg to try to catch the one across from her with her heel to his Adam's apple. The driver is oddly calm, sweating just a bit as he turns another corner and throws things off in the back. Domino grabs hold of the side of Joker's stretcher and then pulls herself across in an effort to down the guard permanently.

Another corner and they are rocking and rolling as they try to lose the other guards following them in their own car.
Joker "Hey man, you took a wrong turn back there..." The passanger doesn't sound alarmed, so much as scoulding his partner with a glance down into the rearview, "This takes us further into the Narrows.." That is not at all a good place to be, not even for an ambulance full of guards. Especially not with the Joker laying prone in the back.

When things pop off an Domino starts to disassemble the men positioned around her to keep the Clown from getting loose, the driver does as he was instructed by picking up speed rapidly. These old buses were made to get someplace in a hurry, but they don't have a lot of get up and go, compared to the SUV the other guards are tailing them in. "Whoa, buddy slow.. what the fuck?" The passenger glances back through the opening between cabin and carrage with a little frown as Dom slides across the gurney to take out yet another guard with a knee to his larynix. He gurgles out a sound that is vaguely like gasping for air, only through a crushed windpipe and goes prone beneath her. "Alright, you put your fu- GARGH!"

Another guard has grabbed for his pistol, leveled it on Dom and begun to issue his demands... but a pale white hand capped with green nails has jut up from the gurney when nobody was watching. A scalpel in his grip stabbing clean through the mandible, tongue, and the soft pallet of the roof of the mans mouth.

The last remaining guards eyes go wide with startle, gun training on that white hand... then at the other reaching up to begin pulling out the tube lowering down into the Clowns throat... it makes a sickening sound as it comes free and flings all manner of fluids in his direction.

"You... 'scuse me.." Holding up a finger to clear his throat, "Whoa, nothing like a tube in your throat to ruin your singing voice, eh?" A far more wider than necessary grin.. The man is too terrified to do much of anything except stare, three of his partners lay dead or dying, and he is not paying ANY attention to Domino. "You should see your face.... it's fucking hilarious man.."
Domino     Domino has no reply for anything said her way, just clean, calm efficiency. The gun leveled at her does grab her attention and she is about to reach out and reverse the gun when Joker rises. There is only a moment of hesitation when he stabs the guard underneath his jaw and into his head before she grabs the gun from his hand. She swings it around in her grip and turns at the same time so the arc comes to press the gun right into the guard's temple as Joker's throat fluids splatter about and a fleck hits below her eye. She grimaces slowly but then says, "Drop it."

"Get us to the meeting spot," she calls to the driver as she can hear the super up SUV pulling up alongside of them. She starts to react when their side is slammed into and the whole truck lurches and tires squeal. Domino is thrown forward, her face against Joker's stomach before she throws herself back, the gun gone from her grip and somewhere at the side door. The guard - still alive at this point.

She grunts, the wind forced from her lungs as she had hit the gurney bar encounter to wind up against Joker. The interior spins a moment, vision swimming before she turns about and means to grapple with the last guard now that she lost her gun. The hat that had been atop her head has been thrown clear as well, dark hair spilling around her face.
Joker The EMS veers wildly trying to regain control, smashing into hydrants and newspaper stands, and only barely avoids plowing into a lightpole at the very last second by forcing the SUV further into the street. The passanger seems to realize things are amiss, but is far too scared to do anything about it, and thusfar the guards in the other vehicle seem disinclined to open fire until they're more aware of what's going on inside the ambulance.

Joker, for his part, finds it all very amusing. Laughing hysterically the whole time. He's one arm free and in that hand is a scalpel, but the other is still strapped down, as are his ankles. When Domino tumbles face first into his stomach he audibly ''OOFS'' and shoves at her head to get her off, "No time for that kind of behavior right now, kiddo... you've a guard to kill.. then we can think about second and third base." The blade slices cleanly through the leather restraint on his right wrist which he yanks free, giggling with manic eyes at the guard struggling to grab the pistol with Domino wrestling him dangerously back away from it in a game of ''cat and mouse'' with a mouser (it's probably not a mouser, but the joke is funnier that way).

"Just... one more..." Both feet free, Joker tumbles out off the gurney, bare white ass pointed right at the pair as SUV again slams against the side of the EMS, nearly turning it over on its side. "Okay, seriously though, this isn't funny... tax payers dollars are being wasted right now. You should all be ashammed of yourself." Matter of factly as /his/ hand falls upon the discarded gun, crawling forward in the limited space towards the front of the Ambulance.
Domino     Swiping Joker's hand away, Domino shoots him a look but has to duck before she's cuffed by the guard upside the head. She jerks to the side and is twisting his wrist, her other hand waiting below for the gun to grab it when they are thrown once more. "Do you ever shut up?" She asks somewhat distractedly of the Clown of Crime. She's thrown onto the gurney and suddenly the guard is there, hands on her throat while Joker crawls forward.

Domino's booted foot lifts, slipping atop one arm and in positioning herself so, twists his arm and sends him angled into the gun's direction. The trigger is pulled with a solid *BOOM* that echoes in the small confines. The guard slumps and Neena catches her breath before she rolls up to her knees, jostling about as she glances down towards Joker. "No one needs to see that." She gun in her hand is shifted into her other as she moves for the back doors only to feel the EMS heave.

"Should have paid to have the ride suped up. Smiles...your people better pull through or I /will/ shoot you." She reaches for the door at the back and it swings open aggressively.

Domino grabs the door and swinging out, climbs it and tries to pull herself atop. its a flat surface, no grips and she stays low, edging across the top and pushes forward so she can try to get to the front.
Joker Joker grunts back at Domino, "I find that these things are a lot more amusing with a narative for people to follow..." He says as the gun goes off, not even flinching at the ear ringing report of the weapon echoing off the enclossure like a thunderclap. One pinky wiggles into his left ear aggressively as he reaches the passanger EMT, "EXCUSE ME, YOU'RE IN MY SEAT!" *BANG* the gun goes off in close proximity to the mans face.

Which is now on the window.

He reaches across him and opens the banged up passanger door to shove it open and kick him free... his body drops free of the carrage and immediately hits the back wheel, bouncing over his corpse just as Neena is trying to climb up on the roof. Maybe it gives her that little extra something to get up there? Maybe it knocks her off.

Joker doesn't even glance back. Pistol to the drivers head, "Thanks for the ride, five stars all the way, big tip... but this is your stop.." The wide eyed EMT stares first at the barrel pointed at his face and then at the road ahead of them, "You're fucking nuts.."

"What gave it away? Was it the shit eating grin.. go now, bye bye."

That seals it and the EMT leaps from the vehicle, it does not end well for him.

Joker slides over behind the wheel and does his best to keep hold fo the weapon, steer the EMS, AND adjust the radio. "Crap... crap... crap..." Classic pop. "Oooo... Hey savior, what's your take on Lisa Loeb for our get away? Thumbs up, thumbs down? I'm kind of par-" Okay now the SUV guards are shooting.

Joker yanks the wheel in their direction, "YOU SAY! I only hear what I want to..." The SUV swerves, the EMS turns sharply too much and is headed straight for the barrier directly ahead of them overlooking the warf.

"You say, I talk so all the tiiiime!"
Domino     Domino feels the lift, feels the air as the EMS truck flies over the downed guard. She lands atop with an oof. "God damned clown," she hisses between her teeth but crawls forward to the lights. She grips them just as Joker takes control and wields them like some battering ram right at the SUV. The sparks and glints of lights as the guns go off draw her attention as luck would have it, Joker did something right. The passenger side door is torn off and gives Domino a clear shot of the guard.

She holds onto the light, crosses her right arm over and steadies it in place while she pulls the trigger. The guard lurches to the side, brain pan and blood spattered over the windshield interior, effectively blinding the driver who begins to swerve and use the direction he goes by following the EMS rather than actually seeing - which is going to be too bad for him when they make impact with the water - which is highly likely at this point.

Domino slides forward, looking down into the EMS through the windshield. "What are you doing?! Stop." She intones as her boots are hooked on the flashing lights. She swings back up and readies herself, watching as the SUV collides with a few things.
Joker "I don't listen hard, don't pay attention to the distance that you're running... hold your breath, buttercup! We're going fish-" The EMS hits railing divide going just below sixty and tears straight through with scraping metal and sparks as the sharp metal edges send rivets up the sides of the ambulance.. It's airborne a moment. Joker grinning behind the wheel as the water rushes up towards the windshield, rising up out of the seat as the vehicle falls just a little faster than he does.

SMASH! It hits the water like a rock. It is not graceful at all and his face smashes painfully against the steering wheel, then windshield, and finally back against the seat. He's a tough cookie though and remains conscious, if a little dazed.

The heavy vehicle sinks rapidly, filling with water just as quickly through the removed passanger side door until the back falls beneath the waters edge and it rushes into the back doors like a monsoon.. Joker had been climbing up towards the back, feet out wide to use shelves as a latter when the first big drink hits him hard enough to throw him back down into the cabin with a muffled ''bunnnnnng'' when the nose of the vehicle hits the bottom of the river and tumbles forward. Gurney slamming forward against his chest, partially pinning one leg where the wheels have twisted slightly in the small opening between cabin and carrage.

The plot thickens!
Domino     "You madman," Domino curses his name as if did not know. She knew. Not that they were going to hit water but that the person driving is never to be trusted. They hit the water and she pushes off the back to drive behind the vehicle, back towards the docks and enters the water gracefully. Domino tears off her shirts and throws it aside, slipping out of those pants to show off the skin suit she wears before she breaks the surface. Watching as the EMS sinks, she sees no sign of him and a brief adjustment to the rig on her torso is all that is done before she dips below the surface and kicks herself forward.

She reaches one of the doors in the truck just as the lights start to flicker in the interior. About to lose power and sight when she spots him. She pulls herself in and moves for the gurney, tugging, pulling. Nothing works at first and she sees the IV strand. Leverage.

Lights go out. Blindly she reaches forward and it takes her a bit as her lungs start to burn. Bubbles stream up from her puckered lips and Dom braces herself and then presses into the IV stand and up moves the gurney, a bit more, a bit more as she strains. She's not super strong, that's not her gig but she's strong enough. The gurney finally twists a bit and catches on something else so eh has room to move.

He's free and she needs to breathe, kicking up as fast as she can before she swallows Gotham water and gets a parasite. Breaking the surface, her breath is audible when its drug free of her lungs. The SUV flipped upon its own entry and is going down upside down. No one seems to swimming free. She coughs and wipes at her face while she treads water.
Joker The whole time she's trying to free him, Joker is staring at her with that crazy man grin, but at least he's making an effort to assist rather than hender her progress. Mostly just wiggling a little, tugging this way and that until his captured ankle comes free of the little cage of gurney against steering wheel. Rather than following her up, however, he moves sideways towards the passanger side door, which is when she loses sight of the Clown.

Up on the surface he finally breaks up with a majestic like backwards throw of his sickly green hair. Both pale hands slap and tug downward across his face and he blows out a stream of water in her direction like fountain statue. "You single? Don't answer that." He turns a little in the water and starts swimming FURTHER into the bay where the lights of a yacht are visible now that she's actually looking. Several men are standing along the deck with assault rifles, two of them are wearing rubber clown masks. Upon reaching the back he slaps his hand into theirs and pulls himself up aboard.

"Shits and Giggles, as I live and breath.." Scooping all his hair back out of his face, "Pick her up." Pointing over towards Domino absently, "Hey!" Cupping his hands around his mouth to shout in the mercenaries direction, "There's champagne, ord-... the little finger foods.. you know cucumber sandwiches and fish eggs on ritz crackers..." Wiggle pointing absently towards the front of the vessel.

He moves purposefully, shedding out of the blue gown just long enough to throw on a long fuzzy purple bathrobe and blue/purple swim trunks.
Domino     Domino's short hair is pressed back away from her face just as she gets a face full of Joker mouth water. Slowly her hand passes back over her face when she turns her had. "So then, we were always meant to make a grand entrance. Don't know why I thought otherwise." She glances at the clown when he asks about her relationship status. She never intended to answer that as she starts to slowly follow after him, coming up short as she eyes his cronies with their assault rifles.

Neena is not all together excited by the prospect of being hauled onto the Joker's private yacht - likely not his for the record. She reaches her hands up finally and hauls herself up onto the back deck with their help just as the sirens start filling the air and the lights cut through the Gotham black.

She glances over her shoulder as she trails water when she steps on deck. "Kind of a bourbon girl myself." Granted she doesn't look to be in too big of a hurry to try whatever food has been acquired. Domino is just as white as joker and with her dark patch over her eye she could probably fit in with his posse - just do not mention that to her. "About the rest of the payment, Joker...." back to business. She really is a spoil sport.

"I would like to get it from you and be left off." Jumping the boat as it were.
Joker Joker reaches for the champagne glass set out for him and shoves some caviar on a cracker into his open mouth. He's not nearly as... dramatic.. in his colors when not in costume. Sure, his smile is permanent and his skin is white, but his lips aren't candy apple red.. There's a sickly white to his palor, so clearly he applies makeup before going out on the town.

Like any good preformer.

"Right..." Wiggling his glass at her, "Money.. of course you want money." Smacking around the big mouthful, washing it down with a long swallow of bubbly. "Shits, get the lady her money." Motioning expressively between one of the two gorilla like goons with body armor and rubber masks and Neena, "You sure you don't want some of these?"

Pointing at the horderves, "They're to die for." Laying there, right between the tray of glasses and the fish egg crackers is a dramatically long barrelled pistol. Which he grabs and lazily points in her direction, one eye squinting up at her, big rectus grin on his face showing all his slightly dingy teeth.
Domino     Domino watches them all, a bit wary even in her casual stance. Her hand goes to the pistol tucked under left arm and just rests there. It is definitely not drawn yet and she gives the Clown a long look, looking painfully disinterested in the food. "I am good, thanks." Polite at least. That is until that long barrel gets pointed in her direction and she stares him down over it. "I would not do that if I were you," she intones.

"Payment." She insists, her blood pumping and adrenaline rushing quickly through her veins. Neena is tensing up a bit, her body is thrumming and that luck? Its engaged as she narrows her gaze at him. Bright blue eyes are slits as she waits for him to make his decision. "Bad for business," she finally adds, taking slightly.
Joker Joker is still chewing horderve and even reaching casually for another as the yacht leaves the scene of their escape behind, spraying water out behind them as it picks up speed through the bay towards a birthing some distance away from where they went ove rthe side. His maniacs fix upon her, running along the barrel of his gun as his head lulls lazily to one side as he shoves the finger-food into his mouth.

Tense moment drawn out dramatically, probably intentionally so, until he raises the gun up out of the danger zone and slams it down on the table with a chortling grin, "I'm just fuckin with ya... well I wasn't, I was going to shoot you, but you've got a look about you ya know?" Hands coming up to frame around her, wiggling like heat waves down either side as the image fixed in one squinting eye.

His long finger points at the briefcase being held out towards her by the big clown-goon, "You sure you don't want some?" Still pointing at them, cleaning his teeth with a smacking like sound and a tongue running against the back of his teeth. "Either way, ten of ten, would engage in high speed escape from mental institution again. Strong work, I'm giving you a glowing yelp review."
Domino     When the gun is put down on the table again, Domino eases her hand from the pistol a bit. Trust is most definitely not there and likely never will be. She looks from the gun on the table to the food and finally back to the maniac across from her. Within throttling reach as she feels her fist squeeze up. "Yeah? Maybe its the professional demeanor?" She pulls dark lips back, her teeth gleaming some as she tilts her head and echoes his crazy smile.

Domino turns, taking the briefcase and letting it fall to her side. "This venture is over." But she's on a boat in the middle of the sound and she has no where to go but..water. Domino realizes her predicament as she eyes the food again. Nope. Just lots of nope.

t"There is a dock a little ways up. I can hop off there and you can go on your merry way. Gotham is waiting for you," she says as the sirens are a soft background noise to the setting.

She moves aside however, finding a surface to set the briefcase down on, she opens it with a press of the buttons on either side of the handle so that she can make sure the money is there, real, no bombs or other surprises and there is enough.
Joker Surprise!

It's real money.

Not even monopoly money.

Or Canadian, which would probably be equivically less useful.

"Your lack of trust is kind of insulting, you count the money in front of me?" Joker really doesn't give a shit. He's not even looking up from picking through the foods on the tray, knocking things about with the end of his finger until he scores the last cracker of fish eggs.

Giggles steps back away from Neena, but doesn't lower his weapon from a ready position... which isn't to say he's pointing at Domino either. Just there, with a big ass gun, probably watching from behind his rubber mask. "Alright, alright... tak her to the dock." Waving disinterested now that she's nolonger playing along with his game.

He leans back in his sunchair and tilts his head a little as if catching some sun, which most certainly has not risen yet. "Seeya around Spots." Sucking at the bakc of his teeth absently, fingers lacked back behind his dripping green mop of hair.
Domino     "You can trust in the fact I trust very few if any at all," Domino remarks. She does not count it all but she does smooth her fingers over it and then looks to be enough. The click of the briefcase closing sounds and she keeps the distance. Eyes glance over at Giggles as she says, "At ease big boy," she intones and then turns back, staying beside her briefcase.

"See you, Smiles." She inclines her head to him as she waits for them to arrive at the docks. Best not to go getting near the edge of the boat. She still dripping and soaked through, a small puddle forming beneath her on the deck.
Joker The Clown has devolved into a near catatonic state which very well be his neutral setting if not for the fact he's humming ''Stay'' to himself and bobbing his foot in time to the music he's creating with his smiling lips. "Toodles, mystery lady." Wiggling his fingers in her direction when the boat pulls up along the dock to deposit her. It waits just long enough for her to have time to elope with her payment, then takes back off in the direction of, presumably, open waters. International Law or whatever.

Probably just to another boat.

Maybe a dingy.

Could be a sloop?

"Where's my suit!" He shouts, voice trialing off as the boat gets further away, leaving Neena standing in the dark of an old hitch having just set loose the worst serial killer in Gotham... if not the World's... history for a few hundred thousand american dollars.

"Also the rubber duck floaty! If I fall ov......" The distance and sound of the yacht cutting through the water finally, probably blissfully, drowns out his irrational yammering.
