Lobo     Midnight in Central Park, a time when the romantics and the weirdos and winos are all out at the same time, sharing the same playground. There's a distant couple making out on a park bench, across from a homeless man sleeping on another. There are raccoons and rats scurrying amongst the dark, stealing whatever clumsy humans had dropped during the day.

And twinkling in the night sky, a comet streaking across the the black backdrop, or maybe it was a shooting star. Well, in actuality, it was a Czarnian bounty hunter entering earth's atmosphere atop the wickedest ride ever seen on this mudball planet. But for the moment, let's go with the 'comet' or 'shooting star' analogies. Less gruesome and violent that way.
Koriand'r One who might qualify as both romantic, weirdo, and wino all at once is sitting on a bench in the park. Koriand'r is a bit drunk, having went through a whole bottle of bitter (to humans) wine. She sways and is talking in her native tongue to... a lamppost. Seems she's a bit out of sorts. She finally slides off the bench and hits the ground. "Ow," she mutters, sitting up, rubbing her head. "Where am I again?" she mumbles.
Zachary Zatara A midnight walk in Central Park, while convenient, is a little too on the mundane for what Zachary Zatara is used to, being an actual magician, but he is a little drained from the day's events, whether that's from one too many rituals gone wrong or a poor turnout for a special showing. And time alone like this is an adequate way to clear his head.

Of course, he runs into said weirdos and romantics, but none of them are orange except the one. She looks like she may need some help, too, drunk and talking to a lamppost like that. "Central Park." He answers helpfully from behind her and holds out a hand. "I checked the lamppostpost for glamour and came out blank, so unless you're seeing something I'm not..."
Lobo     That comet in the sky soon became a fiery fireball while the thundrous sound of thunder roared deafeningly. Aside from a lack of description, the sound was like a million screaming skeleton hags or some other visual metaphor that was suitably heavy metal.

Speaking of, when the fireball got closer, it would be easy to hear violent rhythmic thrashing from the unidentified flying object, a continuous sound that sounded somewhat like...drumming? Something industrial and constant.

And all too soon, the thing that was in the sky immediately streaked down to the surface, a massive vehicle pulling up right practically next to the lamppost-befriending duo(though maybe it was only the uno who struck up that relationship so far.). The vehicle was almost red-hot but quickly cooling down from entering the atmosphere so quickly, and atop the blanket-covered saddle was a pale figure, ghost albino white. He didn't say anything at first, just glared around with those blood-red eyes behind those aggressive black markings. And though he wasn't making any quick movements, his left hand went down to his awesome metal skull belt buckle, pushing a button and giving his universal translator calibrate to the dialect of this backwater, backwoods mudball.
Koriand'r Koriand'r just stares as she rises up, shaking her head to try to clear her thoughts. Lobo. In the flesh. On that awful hog. And... she's totally not ready. She just wanted one night to forget and... damnit. "Isssssh that really... oh no...." She lifts a hand up, and it starts to glow bright green. "Go away!" she yells a bit loudly and fires the starbolt... and shoots it right over Lobo's shoulder, setting fire to a tree as she stands there, swaying a bit.
Zachary Zatara Zachary covered his ears, the sound of a comet or spaceship or a motorcycle ripping through the atmosphere being highly unpleasant. He might have muttered a spell or two for protection or guidance if his ears weren't so brutalized in that moment.

"What the hell are you." His tone is immediately hostile. Red-eyed aliens crash landing in parks are never a sign of peaceful coexistence, and this intuition is confirmed by the launching of a fucking green energy bolt by Koriand'r who Zachary flinches away from and onto the ground. "Were you trying to hit him, or did the tree do something to piss you off?"

He gets to his feet and brushes imaginary dirt off his very nice pants. "Wow, you are so drunk. I will save us both then," He takes a deep breath and then steps in front of her. "If the orange lady says to leave her alone, you should leave her alone."

He isn't exactly intimidating, but he's got Confidence.
Lobo     Out the corner of his eye, he saw the bolt approach, and guesstimated its arc and speed of travel perfectly. His left hand shot out, holding the end of a cigar and letting the other end touch the very end of the singing Tamaranean fire. As it continued on and turned a tree into instant kindling, Lobo brought that cigar to his lips and leaned back in his saddle while glancing over at the wasted princess and the kid who was talking tough.

"Awright, buttface, gonna say this one time. The Main Man's contract calls for that one to go back ta her home world, an' the contract specifies alive. Any obstacle comes between me an' her? Fair game. So the thing ya gotta ask yerself is...how much does yer life mean to ya, tonight?"

He grinned as he spoke, even as he slowly swung his legs around, to climb out of his ride and take a few steps on solid land. Instantly he started stretching and limbering up, happy to get a break from riding. Even if, in his eyes, it was only going to last a few moments.
Koriand'r Koriand'r just blinks as she glances over at Zachary. "Thisssh is Lobo. He... trouble." She then steps back, not really sure what to do in this scenario. She reaches for her Titans communiator... but... she apparently left it at the liquor store. She then frowns as she suddenly charges forward and aims a right hook right at Lobo's face. "Run! Call Titansssssh...." She knows she can't fight him like this, so decides to simply give a good punch of defiance and then try to fly away.
Zachary Zatara "I specialize in trouble," Zachary mutters, watching Koriand'r face this what - pale demon from space (because mages always think in demons and wizards)? He can't imagine the punch is enough to immobilize him. Not when the second she lands it, she turns tail and runs.

He isn't going anywhere. Zachary Zatara does not run - specifically not when called a buttface and told to run. "You're right, of course," He says to Lobo, "I wouldn't want to stand in the way of what seems to be a completely noble and upstanding profession. Carry on." He steps aside, but as Kori flies away, the magician stage-whispers an echoing incantation, "Edih sih yrrauq."

"Oh look, she disappeared. Funny that."
Lobo     Kori is a hell of a woman, with a strong right hook. Clearly, since she was tough enough to become a superhero here on earth. But Lobo was made of tougher stuff, and her suckerpunch rocked his jaw back and caused him to stagger back a step and a half. But when he looked back at her, shaking his head and smirking, it was clear that he'd taken worse in his career. His smile lessened when in the blink of an eye she vanished, and he glanced around a moment before looking back down at the earthling in front of him.

    "Cute. That's real cute, kid."

Hands on his hips, he stopped muttering toward Zach, and instead looked up at the night sky and spoke as loudly as he could in a booming voice.

"You run, princess, an' the boy dies. Immediately."

At this point, the question 'what boy' would be a fair one, but Lobo was too busy becoming a blur of movement. His right hand went from his hip to the row of throwing knives wrapped around his thigh. Two thin, super-light lengths of razor-sharp steel were flying through the air. Instead of trying to hit the vanished princess, he instead aimed both knives at each denim-clad thigh of the man in front of him. He wasn't sure what kind of superpowers or advanced nano-technology the twerp had at his disposal, but the Main Man reckoned that getting the tips of throwing knives buried into your femurs would take a bit of the wind out of his sails!
Koriand'r Koriand'r stopped immediately at Lobo's threat. He's a horrible bastard, but has a reputation of honesty and doing what he says. She sighs as she moves quickly and slightly inaccurately, as her goal is to simply pick up the wizard who made her invisible. She's fast enough to get to him before the knives do. Unfortunately... Kory's flying drunk. She actually slams into him - hard - knocking him down to the ground with bruising force - and at the same time screams loudly as the two knives find their mark - one on her lower back to the side, the other in her left leg as she falls to the ground. Those are rather VICIOUS knives, and she wasn't able-bodied enough to both save the guy and stop the knives.
Zachary Zatara "Thank you, I pride myself on m-" The space princess slamming into him shuts him up, if the threat or, yanno, space knives didn't already have that effect. "OOF!"

The impact knocks the wind out of him, but he remains conscious and whole and not impaled by knives.

"Oh my god, are you - did he hit you?" Asking the good questions here, Zach. Koriand'r becomes visible again, too much panic (and pain) coursing through Zatara's blood for him to maintain that spell. "We should, like, get out of here. You mentioned the Titans?" Maybe if he knew more about where they were based or the people in the group, he could create a teleportation spell. Maybe.
Lobo     Lobo watched the entire crashing and burning, almost shaking his head at the collision as he took a moment to take a drag of his cigar, and adjust his shirt, belt and gauntlets. With a deep growl coming from his throat, he slowly stalked toward the prone duo with his hands reaching out for each one.

"I didn't want ta stab my bounty, ya dumb little terran bastiche. Yer a fraggin' liability, now get outta here!"

He reached his left hand down to try and grab around the kid's shirt collar, and if successful, he'd expend as little muscle mess and momentum as possible to try and fling the young man away from the scene of action. Of course, given his general class of strength, that could still be a major problem for Zachary if he wasn't quick on his feet.

Of course, Kory had different problems, as Lobo's right hand went right for that incredible long hair of hers. If he succeeded in grabbing her he'd grab it right near the scalp(so as not to possibly break her neck), and would want to lift her right off her feet, into the air.

"Now if you BEHAVE, The Main Man might just take ya to a medic before pawning ya off ta Tamaran. If ya don't, good luck bein' a pin cushion fer the entire journey, gams! Haw haw haw haw!"
Koriand'r Koriand'r just sighs softly. "Fine... I'll behave. But you're shending me to my death..." she mumbles softly as she dangles limply, no resistance in her anymore. Bieng shiskhabobbed took the fight out of her.
Zachary Zatara It doesn't take much to fling Zachary around. He hits the ground (AGAIN!) and slams into a tree with enough force to leave more than a few bruises and cuts on his body. He's brash and eager to prove himself but not so stupid to get back up. In all likelihood, he couldn't even if he tried.

So he just lays there, regretting ever leaving the Shadowcrest tonight. "This'll be one for the books."
Lobo     After this, the chain which had been wrapped around his right arm finally got unfurled, being used to secure the target as he got back on his Hog, and blasted off toward the stars. A few clicks from earth up around the moons of Jupiter Lobo had another ride parked, a slightly larger rental ship for the express purpose of hauling this bounty across long distances. It was there she'd be secured in relative almost-safety, as Lobo took off toward Tamaran. Pushing auto-pilot, the Main Man leaned back in his pilot's chair with his feet on the dash, booze in hand.

"Job well done! You did it again, me, congratulations!"
