Silver Surfer It is a peaceful day, at least, as peaceful as it could be in a sector full of outlaws, and generally speaking people that wouldn't think twice about sticking a knife in your back just because you looked at them the wrong way. And that is for those who actually have no fire or energy weapons, because those are entirely a different thing, you could find yourself in a gunfight for, a reason you'd probably find out only when your body is reduced to a pile of ashes! Sure, there's also the crowd of peaceful miners, those who just have their daily brawl in the local pub and then go back to mining, but this is one of those days when people are not too violent, and everyone pretty much minds their own business.
Silver surfer has been here, at least a couple of months ago, but at the time there was also a green lantern around, so people had really a lot of things to handle, what with a member of the galactic peacekeeping corps and what used to be the herald for one of the most dangerous entities in the universe? Now, though, Silver surfer is coming back to Knowhere, standing on his silvery board, and quietly approaching at the speed of light.
Until he is far away, unnoticed, everything goes perfectly. But when he actually slows down, landing just outside of a local pub, then people freeze, at least those who know who he is. Infact, while some know that he no longer announces the arrival of a creature who will devour worlds and destroy entire civilizations, the majority of people still thinks he's an herald of Galactus, so those who are not outright scared, are just not very friendly to say the least.
Ace Ace Arrived at Knowhere just a bit ago. The Earth-girl and neonate spacer can't help but hum the catina theme from Star Wars as she walks through the ecletic hive of scum and villany. Her visit here is threefold. One, she needs to sell off some scrap that she's accquired through various means (some of them almost legal). Two, she needs to pick up some anti-matter to keep the genny in her ship chugging away. Third, she needs to pick up some booze. She figures that any species worth its salt will have figured out the fermentation process just a little after the discovery of fire. She tried a few weeks back to make some bathtub-tier booze out of a weird purple fruit that she found on an uninhabited jungle planet, but that little science project ended with her hiding naked in her ship's bathroom for two days to keep the shadow people from eating her feet. Not a good scene.

So she looks around for something that looks pub like when she notices what looks like the Tin Man's underware model older brother.
Grail The sound is quite loud. It's why they got they name Boom Tube. The portal opens unveils the arrival of a grey woman with black hair and a cloak. She walks out of it like she didn't even care that it caused a scene. She almost immediately heads for the bar, smiling as she walks. The pub where Surfer went is getting more unexpected visitors as she halts just near to Surfer enough to look him over and hten chuckles, "Shiny." She then thrus and flips her hair, walking onward to the alcohol without another thought.
Silver Surfer Silver Surfer is, or at least looks like, a tall man entirely made from silver, the same as the board on which he was standing at least until his feet actually touch the ground. Then, the board just vanishes, leaving the silvery man turning his head towards Grail, just looking in that direction quite unsure of what to say. And luckily his hears don't work like those of a human or he would be definitely startled by the portal! In any case, he approaches the pub's entrance, right behind Grail, and turns also in the direction of Ace, probably trying to place her in the context, or, tt least, analyzing her with his eyes and other senses to see if she is a local or not!
Ace Ace is about to open her mouth to ask the Surfer a question when the sudden indoor sonic boom catches her off guard. She throws both of her hands over her ears, but not soon enough to keep them from ringing.

Surfer's scans wouldn't detect much strange with Ace. She's a terran woman, except with some tech on her person above that of the level Earth is generally known for. Though most of the components are repurposed from Earth electronics, there are parts of it from a very very old, dead, and unknown civilization.

"Da fuck? That was loud. The hell was that?" she wonders out loud. She throws on a pair of cheap looking sunglasses and holds up her right hand which is clad in a device that Earthlings would otherwise know as a Nintendo Power Glove. She performs her own scan to see just what kind of spatial anomaly that was.
Grail Looking back at the Surfer, she hmms a little. She thinks she might have heard her mother mention such a being but was unsure if this was him. The universe is strange. either way, she walks toward the bar and takes a seat, glancing over at Ace briefly and with a hmm. She can see the girl doing something and it seems to be involving herself and her trick. Ace, for her part, would know only that that was a rip in space/time and it was...powerful. Very powerful. Like jump across the universe powerful. Either way, Grail, for her part just shrugs, "Barkeep! I want your strongest drink...strongest." SHe points at the bar.
Silver Surfer Silver Surfer is lucky, or unlucky enough, to have an internal scanner in the form of wielding the power cosmic. That is, actually, a great tool to use if you want to have a great scan up to the subatomic level of whatever is included in a radius of some light years, but in a shorter range, it is just as precise and effective! At least enough to make sure that Ace looks to be terran inspite of some of the tech she's using, and that Grail is definitely not, and that the technology she just used is, at the very least, something that many people around couldn't even start to dream about.
In any case, he steps through the pub's entrance, and at this point he's quite unsure of what to do. Ordering drinks is sort of pointless, considering he really doesn't need to drink and couldn't really enjoy it, and doing that to just blend in would be as pointless considering he's an enormous silvery man, so oddly enough he just walks to a table, not too far from Ace and her scanning device, nor to Grail and her alcoholic dreams of getting something strong, and takes a seat there.
Ace Ace nearly flings her sunglasses off of her face when she sees exactly what her scans told her. "The sweet hell? Geez, off the friggin charts. I'm gonna need some new charts." She types on the buttons on the top of the glove with her other hand and transmitts the data to her ship. It's not as though she could reproduce the trick, but all knowledge is worth something like her grandad would say. She walks up to the bar a little ways from Grail.

"Uh.. Klaatu Barada Nikto? Booze?" she says and makes drinking motions. "I doubt you have any Irish whiskey all the way out here, but beggers can't be choosers."
Grail A look over at Ace and she blinks at the woman, "What language is that?" She seems confused before shaking her head, "Irish Whiskey? Whiskey...hmm, you must be from that mudball." She nods her head, "I have heard of that drink." She shakes her head, "Barely any strength to it." She then looks to the bartender who brings her something htat has some kind of mist coming off of it, "You are bold one." She looks to Ace, "Who are you?"
Silver Surfer Silver Surfer peers at the two people at the counter, namely Grail and Ace, and then just to be sure analyzes the content of the, strong, thing that Grail is about to drink. He doesn't really do much of anything apart from doing that, even because there is at least half of the pub's customers staring at him, while the other half is pretending not to, sort of. He might even just start to look uncomfortable, if the image of a silvery man shifting uncomfortably on his seat wasn't comical enough.
Ace Ace blows the mist off her her drink before slugging it back. "Ace. Ace *O'Connor*," she says matter-of-factly when the good name of her people is besmirched. (The Irish, not terrans) The fact that she's never stepped foot on her family's homeland is pretty irrelevant. Her attempts at doing her family proud and brewing her own ending up in something terrifyingly hallucinogenic is even more irrelevant. Thhough mouthing off to someone who can put out more juice than she's registered so far in her travels might not be the super greatest idea, but honor is at stake damnit!
Grail A blink at that and Grail responds with a nod before saying, "I see, Ace *O'Connor* it is." She adds the same inflection that Ace does to the name, not really understanding that the name matters at all. She was not raised amongst humans after all. She then shrugs and picks up her own drink. She starts toward the table with the silver man at it, "Hey." She states and takes a seat across from him, "What's your story, Silver man?" She asks, "You seem to be getting all the attention."
Silver Surfer Silver Surfer stops looking at nothing in particular to focus on Grail, waiting a couple of seconds to try to understand the meaning of her question, sort of. "I used to work for a creature who is known to devour planets without any consideration for eventual lifeforms on it, and even if it wasn't exactly my choice, people still think my presence means they're going to face Galactus." he explains in a calm, slightly metallic voice. "then there's those who still don't see me in a good light, for the same reason"
Ace Ace was going to say more when Grail gets up and moves off, but she instead lets out a large belch and feels a little swimmy for a second.

"C-c-c-captain," speaks a very upbeat sounding computerized voice from the gauntlet device on her right arm. "I've de-de-de-detected a sudden spike in your blood alcohol content. Have you been d-d-d-drugged?"

She slaps a button on the gauntlet and says, "Not now Max." She snatches up what remains of her drink and hops off of her stool.
Grail A hmm and she nods, "Ah, I understand." SHe grins at Surfer, "Though I think I wouldn't mind meeting your big employer." SHe chuckles, "I like fighting the powerful. It's enjoyable." She then looks over at Ace as she approaches and hmms, "You really are a bold one." She smiles, "I believe my mother and her side of the family would enjoy you." She laughs a little before idly tapping her fingers on the table, "The name is Grail." She turns to Surfer and nods, "Don't cross me and we'll be fine."
Silver Surfer Silver Surfer peers at Grail, his silvery face remaining expressionless, then he slowly stands up "no, no you wouldn't enjoy it." he states matter of factly "and I make a point of not crossing anyone if I can" he adds, casting another glance Grail's way "And, nice to meet you, Grail. I'm, the silver surfer. Don't enslave people and we'll be fine." he then aims a polite nod towards Ace, then starts walking towards the pub door again, just phasing through it. He stops for a moment outside the pub, turns to glance at it again, then shrugs. "come to me, my board, we've still more places to see, people to meet who will hopefully not destroy themselves with some selfconfidence" even if the last part is no more than a mumble, the silvery board still appears, and the surfer hops on it, pointing upwards and then floating up again, between the stars.
Ace Ace looks down suspiciously at her drink after Surfer phases through the door. Her suspicion is that either she really saw that, or her bathtub booze is having a flashback effect.
Grail A smirk, "Your boss wouldn't enjoy it." She then looks over to Ace before saying, "You're an interesting human. A bit foolish but interesting." She then stands up and starts toward the door before shaking her head, "No time to waste though." And she shakes her head "Morons to hit." And she raises up her hand and another blast of energy to open a portal before she walks through it.
