Owner Pose
Shannon      With her studies finished for the evening, Shannon was left with time on her hands, and was not at all keen on lazing about for a second day. But her favorite jeans had been ruined in the firefight a day or so before, much to her annoyance. That ribbon embroidery had taken a good bit of time to get just right! So she persuaded a friend to take her into Bushwick to see what the shops and boutiques there had to offer, taking a gnarled, twisted wooden cane with her, its handle carved in the shape of a duck's head.

She and her friend have parted paths for the moment, after a brief chat to meet back up at a prearranged time. She checks the charge on her phone and slips it into her pocket, taking a deep breath. It felt good to get out. She ruffles her wings a little bit, stretching them out. Perhaps when she got home she could just enjoy a bit of a flight, but for now, there were more pressing matters to tend to. She heads down the street aways, perusing the various shop windows, to see which might make a promising stop for a new pair of jeans.
Zorro Near the shops was a construction sight which was owned by Adonis & Sons, a land-developer firm based in Dover. Delaware. What the company was building in a "ghetto" like Bushwick was unknown, but most people didn't give it a second thought, One man however, was very suspicious.

Zorro was spying on the site from the roof of a nearby abandoned tenament, lying down on his belly to avoid being spotted. Adonis & Sons have been on Zorro's hit list for a while due to shady actions in their past that harmed thousands of people, something Zorro would not abide by. Now, they were buuilding God knows what in Bushwick, and Zorro wanted to find out what. As Zorro peered at the site, he took a glance at the shops and saw a mutant with wings. He recognized the mutant as the one he encountered at the warehouse. Zorro ducks his head, attempting to hide it from view, not wanting to be spotted, especially if she was close to discovering his identity.
Shannon      The construction site was marked by swathes of orange plastic netting erected as a fence, bright orange danger cones, and a dumpster for various debris associated with the creation of a new building. It did seem a little odd that many would take an interest in building in Bushwick. Regardless, Shannon elects to avoid the site, not keen on risking a repeat of the encounter from a couple nights prior. She turns to hobble towards a half scuffed-out crosswalk, pausing at the curb to take a good look around. As she glances up, she frowns slightly--had that been a shadow atop the tenement building, or was her imagintation playing tricks on her? She squints a little bit, to see if she can spot anything further--or find out that it was just her imagination playing tricks on her.
Zorro Zorro stayed prone on the ground for what seemed like an eternity. After waiting for a bit, he peered out and continued to look at the site, thinking Shannon was gone. He took special note on the foreman's office, taking note to break into it later. Suddenly, he sees Shannon again, this time near the site peering up in his direction. Zorro lets out a small swear to himself and goes prone again, hoping she dosen't go and investigate.
Shannon      Shannon's eyebrows go up as she catches a flicker of a profile she had not expected to see again. Though, she mused to herself, what was he doing back in this area? Was there more trouble afoot? And would she do well to call Sam? Perhaps in this case, it was the better part of wisdom to call in some backup. She slips her phone from her pocket to fire off a text message to Sam.

<<May have spotted an old friend. Need a wingman.>>

She draws back away from the curb, not going to investigate on her own, but definitely keeping an eye on the tenement building, to see what else will transpire. Though she had arrived with a friend, she would prefer to have all the help she could in case things went bad.
Zorro Zorro continues to let out small swears to himself as he lies down on the ground of the roof, realizing that Shannon must've seen him by now, and was probably reporting him to the security guards at the the site by now. So, in a act to save himself from a fight, he stands up fully and dashes through a door in the roof, attending on fleeing through the tenament and out a back door to escape security if they di show up.
Shannon Shannon glanced down at the phone in her hand, pursing her lips as the reply came through.

<<What's up? Everything OK?>>

What could she say to that? So far, there had been no sign of a fight, no sign of trouble, but she also recognized that, in many areas, she was inexperienced and could easily be missing signs of danger. She frowns, considering what to send as a reply. Finally, she taps out something on her phone.

<<Possibly our masked friend from the warehouse. Please advise.>>

When she glanced back up at the building, the shadowy figure was gone. A few oaths definitely not befitting a youth escaped her lips, and now she was on full alert. Whoever this person was, though they had apparently meant no harm previously, could be anywhere by now, and as of the present moment, she had no clue as to their intentions. "Please, Sam, please... hurry up and answer..." She was starting to get a little bit tense, and had to force herself to take a few deep breaths to calm down. It would not do to go off half-cocked. She was not keen on risking another injury, or worse.
Zorro Zorro continud to rush through the tenament, leaping down staris three at a time and dashing down corriders . As he ran, he ran past a corrider full of windows. If Shannon were paying attention, he would see a shadowy form fliting past the windows. He eventually made it down to the ground floor. Zorro then leans against a pillar and starts trying to catch his breath, keeping an ear out for anyone trying to sneak up on him.
Shannon      Whoever it was, was certainly trying to exit the area with all due haste. Shannon frowns. This could not be good. Oh no, she certainly was not blind to that shadow flitting past the third story window. She looked to see just how many exits there were in the building. There were a few windows on the first floor, and the one door at the front. If there was one at the rear, she could not spot it, and wasn't too sure she wanted to take this on alone.

Her phone buzzed once again, and she glanced down to see the answer to her message. <<Get info if possible, but safety #1 priority>>

Damn it. Well, Shannon was -not- about to get caught inside with a possibly unknown being. While she had a sneaking suspicion as to the fact that it could be the masked vigilante from the other night, neither did she want to push her luck. True, he had not made any move to harm her, Sam, or Megan, but all the same... she shakes her head, and hobbles across the street in the general direction of the building. She would do a quick walk-by, and keep both ears and eyes open to see what else turned up, while remaining outside. At least this way, she would have airspace to take off to safety if need be.
Zorro Zorro looked through the front door's window and saw Shannon slowly appraoching on a cane. Tilting his head, he tried to remeber where she could've gotten hurt, only to suddenly remember her getting shot by that crazed Warlockz member. As she appraoched, she would get a cleaerer view of the figure she kept on seeing, it was definatley the man she saw a couple nights ago, and it looked like he was trying to catch his breathe. Zorro suddenly looked up and stared at Shannon's directly in the eyes and suddenly turned away, trying to make his way to the back door of the tenaments.
Shannon      Shannon stopped on the sidewalk right near the tenement, just as the masked man turned. She smiled at him, only to have him turn and make his way out of the building. It was hard to tell which direction he was going from her current point of view. Well... there was one way to find out. She spreads her wings out wide, still able to fly despite her leg injury--landing might not be graceful, but she could get into the air and see what was what from up above. She flies to a point a short ways above the tenement, keeping an eye on the scene below to see where the masked man is heading off to.
Zorro The back door to to the tenament, which is connected to an alleyway, opens. Zorro slips out and, seemingly not noticing Shannon in the air takes one more look at the construction site and shakes his head. He then starts to make his wy down the alley.
Shannon      Shannon grits her teeth, biting back an oath. So far, apparently, this man in black had not spotted her following him in the air, and for the moment she'd rather keep it that way instead of cornering him in an alley. He'd have the advantage, and she had been told, safety first. She hovers briefly in the air to fire off one more message to Sam, and hope he would answer very soon.

<<Old friend on the run. Need backup, STAT.>>
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie has sent a text back asking where they are, and where he should come. He walks out back of the club, and thinking he is going to have to start wearing his costume under his clothes.
Shannon      Shannon breathed a sigh of relief as she spots Sam coming out of the club. Rather than give the masked man any hint as to her presence above him, she wings her way down to land next to Sam, albeit a bit awkwardly with the cane, and favoring her left foot. "Hey... sorry to push the panic button like that, but our old friend's on the run and I am not keen on chasing him into an alleyway without any backup." She gestures across the street towards an abandoned tenement building, and takes off into the air again. "He was heading out in back of this building."
Zorro As Zorro made his way down to the alley, he thought to himself," I will have to return to the site soon and gather those plans from the foreman's office. They will be my only clue as to what Astor & Sons are up to in Bushwick." Zorro then exited they alleyway, finding himself in a open street. He then started making his way to his motorcycle, which was parked near a pizza place.
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie looks over to Shannon, and says "so, who is chasing, why do you need back up, fill me in, let me know whats going on." He will ask her as he looks around, and puts an arm around her waist and blasts them to a roof where, they can see whats up.
Shannon      "He was heading into an alleyway and thanks, I'd rather you not have to make that ugly call to my folks. It's pretty stupid to go into this alone. Not sure why but I saw him first at the top of this building. He seemed pretty interested in the construction site. Not sure why, but hell, we just got into a scrape involving him, I'm not doing tihs alone." Shannon's face flamed--had she erred in calling Sam? Damn! As she looks back down towards the ground, she sees the motorcycle, and Zorro just seconds from making good his escape. "There!"
Zorro Zorro was just sitting down on his motorcycle and was about to start it when he heard a female voice yelling. He saw Shannon , now being accompanied by Samuel, flying in the air. Knowing that they were seconds away from swooping down on him, he pulled out his keys and attempted to start up Tornado.
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie looks over to Shannon and says "Ok, going to give ya a little superhero 101 here. We can go down there and stop him, Ah can beat the motorcycle, but thats probably going to lead to us fighting him, or since it looks like he is helping people here, and not doing anything bad we can let him go.
Shannon Shannon feels her face flame with embarrassment as she realizes she fouled up again. The last thing they or anybody else needed was a fight. Whether or not the masked man stopped on his own was another matter. "It sucks.. but we might have to let him go." Her voice is tense, and her brows furrowed, but she pays attention to the lesson at hand. "The last thing we need is to risk ourselves or innocents."
Zorro Zorro takes one more look at the two and yells out to them," So long amigos, have no time to chat now!" He then starts up his motorcycle and roars down the sttreet, zooming away from the two."
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says 'It is not so much worrying about the fight and getting hurt. Tell me Shannon, if your wearing a mask, would you want another hero you don't really know trying to go "Hey I know you?" For you it will be much harder to hide your identity, but he is trying to hid his, be is to protect his love ones, to hide he is trying to make ammends for something and if we knew who he was would not trust him, or he is just an ugly chud. There is a reason he hides it. Right now he is ding good, helping folks Ah don't see a reason to try to take that away from him.
Shannon Shannon just nods, deadly silent. She makes no move to chase after Zorro, but her knuckles go white as she curls her hands tightly around her cane with frustration. She knew Sam was right. And it would likely not be the last time something like this happened. The one mercy was that nobody had gotten hurt. "Sorry to have bothered you. It was stupid."
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "You were not stupid and you did not bother me, you learned something, you kept an eye on him. We know to keep an eye on that construction company. I will ask Bobby what he knows about it see if it is part of the x-corp stuff. If so we know either they up to something or he is. You did good and you learned something
Shannon Shannon groans softly, ducking her head. "Oh god no, now Bobby's just going to chew me out AGAIN." She looked down as Zorro zips away on his motorcycle, and sighs lightly. Perhaps there would be another day to find out who this was, or at least talk to him under more peaceful circumstances. "Well... might as well put my big girl panties on and face the music. Let's get out of here."
Samuel Guthrie Samuel Guthrie says, "Why is he going to ball you out, I think you did goof and you learned. Your not in trouble with anyone." He will help her back down to street level."
