Liz Sherman When the weird starts acting up, the B.P.R.D. are the ones that usually get called. Liz drew the short straw on this particular assignment given Big Red and Abe were otherwise in disposed. The raven haired woman had been staking out a block of empty houses that looked like they'd burned at some point. Hilariously appropriate given the woman herself. She is sitting back on the porch across the street in the darkness, the only thing that might give her away is the cherry on the end of the cigarette she's smoking sparking to life every so often.

The B.P.R.D. aren't the only ones that know things and get alerts. Other freelance people might seek out this place place because it feels off. There'd been whispers of ghosts, black magic and demons. A homeless man had been found murdered here recently in a gruesome way, but given the area no one had looked into it besides picking up the body and giving a small warning to the rest of the area.
Johnny Blaze Johnny Blaze is attracted to supernatural occurances like a bloody weird magnet. He drives his motorcycle down the street, honing in on the source of such an 'alert'. Though he doesn't have any kind of technological aid, its quite literally Zarathos, the Spirit of Vengeance inside of him, that points the way. Perhaps Liz would see the supernatural biker pull up along the side of the street where the murder had taken place, his eyes shifting over to the chalk-outline of the body.

He pulls out a cigarette and lifts a finger, hellfire erupting forth that lights the tobacco stick before it is placed in Johnny's mouth. He looks to be in some measure of thought.
Liz Sherman Liz does see the man pull up on a motorcycle and there's a quirk of an eyebrow when he does the trick with his finger to light his cigarette, "Huh. I've been doing it all wrong these years." she whispers to herself. She's dressed in dark ripped jeans, black t-shirt that's seen better days and a black jacket that has the B.P.R.D. since she's working. She tries not to bring attention to herself for the moment given she's not really sure if the man with the bike is going to break out more fire.

Johnny could feel the pull of something in one of the abandoned houses. It's definitely the feeling one would get when something evil is sticking around. Maybe it's cooped up in the houses and feeding off the area? Either way, Zarathos can lead him to the house that is holding the strongest signs of something that should not be.
Johnny Blaze Johnny is wearing simple clothes. Black leather jacket, black shirt underneath, some full black driving gloves, some dark blue jeans, and combat boots. He looks like a biker through and through. The bike in question is a Yamaha V-MAX 2017. Heavily modified and tricked out. This thing is just an absolute beauty.

But, he looks over to Liz and he gives her an upnod. "Afternoon." He tells her in a casually suave manner. But he walks towards the house, exhaling a cloud of smoke from his mouth. Clearly, or as Liz would probably be able to tell, the supernatural item or entity is luring Johnny. Or perhaps Johnny is one the hunt.
Liz Sherman Liz tries to duck her head down a little when Johnny looks her way, welp, there went the element of surprise. Or stalking. She gives an upnod as she stands up. Raking a hand back through her hair, "Hey." she tells him. There's not even a tinge of warmth in the womans words. Maybe it was because he was a stranger? Possibly.

"Hey Mister...you don't want to do that." she tells him as she hurries after him. Realizing he's going for one of the houses. She'd get reamed if she let a civilian get hurt on her watch. She puts her cigarette out by brushing it against her coat as she follows him. No littering!

As Johnny approaches the door swings wide crashing into the wall that is held up by only god knows what. "I sense much fire...and blood." an eerie voice speaks to them.
Johnny Blaze Johnny doesn't seem to mind her lack of warmth in her voice when she greets him. Almost like he was used to it, in the eerie kind of way. But then she's trying to warn him and stave him off from his target. "Course I do, otherwise I wouldn't be here." He assumes she's in the know, or at the very least is smart enough to not already be in the house.

He does take the cigarette out of his mouth and flick it over at the nearest trash can.

Oh yeah, he's had practice doing that. Now it just looks cool. When the door slams open and a creepy disembodied voice creeps out, Johnny sighs. "Knew it."
Liz Sherman Liz just wasn't a warm person, despite being able to wield fire. She gives a look to the man and there's a deepening of her frown. Then the door swinging wide makes her eyes squint a bit, "I was hoping it would just be some of the local kids messing with people." she mutters. "Poltergeist don't generally open doors and talk. I'm thinking its a demon of some sort." she tells the biker.

Then she's moving up the steps, "Well, if both of us are here we might be alright." she muses. "Do you want to go in? I forgot to ask that." she looks back to the man.
Johnny Blaze Johnny looks over at Liz, raising a brow at her as she speaks about the suspected and hope of just children being cruel people. "Children arn't that smart. Besides, you know a place that is infested when you see it." Johnny says with a straight-face, though he does smirk at her.

"Of course its a demon. I'd be a shitty demon hunter if I hunted one here and ther ewas no demon." he chuckles lightly. "Lets go handle it, assuming your trained to."
Liz Sherman Liz gives a look to him, a smile threatening to break, but it doesn't, "True. Kids these days are too lazy to do something that elaborate." she nods in agreement. Then she turns back to the house, the door still standing wide open, "I hate demons. Because they always want to muck with stuff that isn't any of their business." she admits.

When he says assuming she's trained there's a look over her shoulder, "I'm only trained to deal with angry Ewoks...and large red beasts when he gets a bit too grumpy." she jokes. "Are you flame proof?" she asks him as she makes her way to the door and then pulls her gun, starting to look into the front room to see if anythings going to drop down on them.
Johnny Blaze "Maybe if it was like...twenty years ago. But these days kids would rather be on cell phones than pull elaborate pranks like this these days." Johnny shakes his head lightly in a 'well, what can you do' kind of way. He squeezes his hands tightly in case he's about to punch something.

"Well, then we probably have this covered. If I told you that I turned into a hellfire-bathed skeleton, what would you say?" A pause.

"Yes, I'm fireproof."
Liz Sherman "Or they like to mug old ladies and stay on their phones. Kids these days probably didn't grow up like we did." Liz tells him. She was at least friendly. "It's clear in here." she tells him as she goes over the threshold. Though his words draw her attention back to him, "Hellfire-bathed skeleton? We should do coffee sometime." she admits to that.

When he tells her he's fire proof there's a look of relief on her face, "Oh thank you." she whispers as she flicks her eyes up to the ceiling. Was she talking to God? Maybe.

If Johnny follows her in all the way they'd both be hearing the door slam shut behind them. "You brought a friend to the party, excellent. I've been starving." the voice comes again, this time from a voice that seems to echo around the room.

Then they aren't alone anymore. Suddenly the room feels a bit smaller with a huge demon filling it. "Which of you wants to die first?" it asks.
Johnny Blaze "Don't forget they are also more fragile." Johnny comments back to Liz while they are on the topic of how kinda crappy kids are these days in comparison to previous generations. But when she shows relief and apparently asks him out to coffee, Johnny smirks. "Well, that would be just swell." he winks. "Name's Johnny, by the way. Johnny Blaze." He extends a quick hand to her.

Then it seems the door slams shut and the demon speaks again. At this, Johnny's eyes seem to dance with hellfire.

"A really dangerous friend. You can try me first, but I think you'll be really disappointed."
Liz Sherman Liz gives a look to the demon and she puffs up a bit, she's just a hair under five foot five, but she didn't let that get in the way. She reaches out to shake Johnny's hand with a bit of a look to him, "Nice to meet you, Johnny. I'm Elizabeth Sherman, just call me Liz." she tells him. When she takes her hand back there's already flames starting to dance around her fingers.

The blue and white flames licking up her arm as she looks to the demon, "I'll just give you indigestion really." she tells the fiend. Then she raises the gun to get a good aim.

The demon smiles at Johnny, "I know who you are...I've heard about you." he states. "You'll both be great disappointments after you're dead." it laughs as he swings one of his big clawed hands out and smacks Johnny and Liz both. Sending Liz sprawling and the gun skittering. Johnny is probably not that easy to knock down though.
Johnny Blaze Johnny gives her hand a firm shake, and true to his word, when her hand comes alight with hellfire, it doesn't seem t obother Johnny at all. He seems truly immune! But then he notices the blue and white flames licking up her arm. Ohhh. True hellfire. Not bad. Johnny should introduce her to Ketch, if he ever sees his brother again.

When the demon smiles at him, Johnny narrows his eyes before it attacks proper, knocking Elizabeth back but Johnny catches that clawed hand, sliding backwards with his hands still on it. "Okay...playtime is over." He growls and his skin starts to literally burn off in a seering inferno of brilliant flame. All that remains is a bare human skull, wreathed in hellfire and brimstone.

It takes a demon to kill a demon.

He tries to burn the demon's hand, hopefully sending it into retreat.
Liz Sherman Liz manages to get herself sitting back up, right as Johnny is doing the hellfire skin exfoliation and she looks down to herself, well...she didn't have that neat trick. She stumbles to her feet and finds her gun, but she can't shoot and risk hitting the man. Even if he's a flaming skeleton at the moment.

The demon's skin burns, it's cry making the house shake and there's parts of the roof and the walls that crumble as it retreats, only to come charging back and attacking the Ghost Rider again. Apparently Liz was low on the threat list at the moment!
Johnny Blaze BOOM!

Ghost Rider is knocked backwards, actually slamming into one of the walls of the house and recoiling off of it to land in a crouched position. But that doesn't seem to have stopped this devil at all as it rises back to full height. "Go...Home." Ghost Rider tells the Demon as it sprays forth a beam of hellfire from his hands, attempting to burn the creature further.
Liz Sherman Liz feels the house shudder and that part of her that is really better kept inside starts to leak out. She manages to step closer to the demon before the flames burst from her body. Double that with the beam of Hellfire that Johnny sprays forth it starts the melting process on the demons flesh. Skin sloughing off like roast left in too long.

"Oh gross." Liz gags a little at the stench of burnt demon. But hey, it's still growling about being the end of them as it flails it's arms and tries to grab ANYTHING that it can get it's hands on before it sees its last.
Johnny Blaze Yes, it was disgusting, but the Ghost Rider rushes forward, getting caught by the demon's grasp and apparently being thrown about for a moment, but the Rider holds the creature down before it looks to Liz.

Perhaps implying for her to choose now to strike, since apparently the Ghost Rider has been taking the brunt of the assault from the angry house-demon.
Liz Sherman Liz gives a look to Johnny when he rushes the demon and then he's getting caught by the hands of the demon. The look he gives her might set something off. Because the next thing that Johnny might see is a flash of blue and white as Liz just lets go and there's a blast of heat and flame that rolls over the demon and the Rider, but he'd be okay.

The Demon? Not so much?

The House? It's going to burn down.

Liz staggers a bit as she realizes what she did. But hey, no more demon. It was going to be a nice pile of ash. Or goo. You could never tell with those guys.
Johnny Blaze FWOOOOOOM!

The flames go through and over Ghost Rider and move to incinerate the demon that dares haunt this place. With this in mind, when all is said and done and the house starts to come apart, the Ghost Rider emerges from her hellfire, completely unharmed despite the intensity of the flames themselves. What kind of demon is this? Any other demon would've been vanquished.

It is now that the flames die out and its just a skeleton, muscle and flesh regenerating over the skeleton until it looks as if Johnny had never transformed. "Well, that was exciting."
Liz Sherman Liz gives a look to the pile where the demon used to be, "Huh." she manages. So eloquent! Then she's looking around them and trying to figure out how long they have until it's unsafe. A chunk of the ceiling falls between them. "Yep! That was, now lets get the hell out of here." she states as she heads for the door. She apparently wasn't immune to falling debris.

Once outside she takes a moment to steady herself but she keeps looking over at Johnny still if he followed, "Does that hurt?" she asks him.
Johnny Blaze Johnny does indeed follow, walking side-by-side with her as a smirk crosses his face at the question. "Like you couldn't even believe." Its a grim smile, sure, but its an accepting one. Like that of someone who took the hand they were dealt in life and went with it. "Does it hurt when you do your fire thing?"

Johnny doesn't know whether to call it her 'pyro trick' or more formal like 'hellfire blast'.
Liz Sherman Liz winces a bit, "Not sure I could get used to that sort of pain." she murmurs to him. Then she shakes her head, the raven locks shaking a bit, "No, it doesn't hurt. Not physically or anything. When I use it like that it tends to end badly with someone I care for being hurt." she admits. Then she gives a look to him, "Didn't you used to be a stunt guy?" she asks him.

Then she's turning to look at the house, the flames reflecting in her blue eyes, "You wouldn't happen to have any marshmallows on you by chance?" she looks to him and there's the ghost of a smile on her lips.
Johnny Blaze "Trust me, you get used to it. Used to happen forcibly, no control at all. Then I mastered the demon within and...well, least now I know when the pain's coming." Johnny grins at her a little bit as they move in front of the house. "Yeah, a lifetime ago. Used to jump shit with a motorcycle. Fun right?" Johnny gives a thumbs up.

At the question of marshmellows, he shrugs. "Not this time. Why, you askin' me out to eat or something?'

ITS A TRAP.
Liz Sherman Liz gives a look to him as he talks and there's a nod to that, "I know Demons very well. One of my best-friends is a big red one." she admits. "So how long did it take you to master or is that for a longer conversation?" she quirks an eyebrow at thim. Then there's a nod, "I think I remember your name coming up. I wasn't sure where you'd gotten off to...but this explains it." she tells him. "The ride is nice." she looks to the motorcycle.

Then her gaze flicks back to him, "Coffee, food, beer. Whatever you like. I don't meet people that are basically flame proof a lot." she tells him. Yeah, she just walked into it. "I mean...if you don't have a lot of demons or whatever else you deal with on your schedule." she adds.
Johnny Blaze Johnny smirks. "Met him once, I think. Used to do a thing for SHIELD together. Good to hear he's still kicking, could've sworn he'd be dead by now." he does smile a little bit at Liz. "Quite some time. Few years, give or take. Lets just say the other guy and I came to an understanding." Then they see the bike and Johnny mounts it.

"Beer it is, then. Come on, I'll drive ya." He revs the motorcycles engine. That beast could wake a neighborhood. But, he must be the bad boy type, doesn't even wear a helmet!
Liz Sherman "HB? He's really hard to keep down. He's about the only other person I don't have to worry about torching. So you guys have that in common." Liz actually smiles to that. Then she listens as he speaks on how long it took. She was very curious of it. But she didn't want to drag his whole story out while there was a house burning down behind them.

She gives a look over the motorcycle and then gets on the back, she's a bit hesistant for a moment, not knowing where put her hands. "Thanks, I was going to have a hard time explaining to my Uber driver why I was standing in front of a burning building." she shakes her head.
Johnny Blaze "Something like that." Johnny looks at Liz and he smiles when she seems to hook her leg over and sit on the back. Knowing that she doesn't look like she has any experience in this at all, Johnny reaches back, takes her hands, and moves them to wrap around his waist. Yes, it was a flirty move, but also kind of a necessity. "Here, that'll help you hold on." Johnny advises her.

And he wasn't exactly pudgy, but rather muscular.

"Know the best bar in town up ahead." and Johnny hits the gas when she's ready, driving off to their destination.
Liz Sherman Liz didn't have a lot of experience with motorcycles. She was more a taxi or old beat up car sort girl. She swallows a bit when he takes her hands and wraps them around his waist. The settle on his stomach and there's a moment to just look up at the sky. Lord...

Then she shakes herself, "Thanks, I'll be sure not to dig fingers in or anything should you brake hard." she states.

When he states he knows the best bar in town up ahead she is content to follow his lead, "I think I trust you, Johnny." she tells him.
Johnny Blaze Johnny doesn't see Liz saying her prayers, either in attraction or abhoration, about Johnny, so he doesn't mind that she warns him about any squeezing or tightening around his stomach. "Long as you don't try to choke me out or something, we'll be fine. I'm tough, promise."

Then they are driving! While Johnny drives fast, the trip is ultimately smooth. Might be the best motorcycle ride she's ever been on, but...it was nice.

Then he parks it right on the side of the road in front of the bar. "Here we are, M'lady."
Liz Sherman Liz was withdrawn, not dead. So when she's faced with abs it's just one of those things that makes girls do stuff like blush. But she doesn't. She simply holds on and enjoys the ride. "I saw that you're tough back there." she tells him.

She waits until they are fully stopped to get let go of him and she manages to get off the motorcycle without dumping herself into the road. Smooth, Liz, smooth. There's the glimmer of a smile to him, "Thank you, kind sir." she dips her head to that.
Johnny Blaze Giving a little upnod to Liz, he gets off of his bike and stands next to her. "So, what kind of beer you like? Got a favorite brand or type?" Johnny offers Liz his arm a little bit, wondering if she's feeling a little clumsy after the fast ride over while also being quite the gentleman in the process.

"After all, this is my treat. Your kill, your reward."
Liz Sherman Liz takes the arm when it's offered, most times letting things go put her on her ass, so she was happy to be upright and coherent. She gives a look to him, "Favorite beer? Anything cold that doesn't grow legs and try to run away." she tells him. "Honestly I don't think I've ever had a favorite. Just not anything that someones going to be sniffing and telling me about the hop content." she points out.

Then she quirks an eyebrow at him, "I think it was a joint effort. I don't like having running tallies. Unless that's your thing?" she teases him gently.
Johnny Blaze Well, despite how nice her ass might look, he's certainly not the type to put her on her bum, so here he is being a gentleman. "So, don't go to the oblivion bar? Got it." Seems Johnny might be more in the know than he might let o-wait, does Oblivion bar have drinks that stand up and run away!?

He does smile at her. "No, I don't do tallies. But I do like finding excuses to get a drink." He opens the door for her to let her in. The bar isn't busy, but its not exactly extremely quiet either.
Liz Sherman Liz gives a look to him, "Wait they do that there?" she asks him a bit curiously. "I really need to get out more." she adds. When he opens the door for her there's a look of appreciation to him, "Thank you." she tells him. Then she's looking around to see just how busy the place might be.

Finding it not that packed she doesn't immediately clam up and insist on going. She trudges in, "Do you have a particular seat you like?" she asks him with a look to him.
Johnny Blaze Johnny smirks at her. "Maybe." he winks, before he follows her inside after opening the door. At the question of if he had a specific place he liked to sit, he shakes his head. "That'd be a hard no on my end. I'm good anywhere. I guess do you want more classic-" he points at the seats that line up in front of the bar. "Or ambiance?" He points at the empty booth in the corner of the bar itself.

"Up to you. Scenery is...roughly the same, either way."
Liz Sherman "Well, that would be something to see." Liz tells him as she looks around. Then there's a bit of a look back to him, "Booth might be safer. If I feel too cooped up it could get weird." she admits. At least she was honest. "So ambiance." she starts to head that way. "Do you visit here often?" she asks as she slides into a seat.
Johnny Blaze "Ambiance it is." Johnny says with a smirk to Liz, he walks with her over to the booth and he takes his seat at the table. "I feel that. Kinda...exposed kind of feeling? Know it well." Johnny clasps his hands in front of him. "Eh, I don't. Only when the job pays well in a way that I can...you know, afford a luxury drink here and there with a beautiful woman." Yes, he flirts, but its not like...gross flirting or overbearing. Just subtle and semi-smooth.
Liz Sherman "I just don't want to take the chance of exploding if someone starts a bar fight and hits me by accident or something like that. It would really put a damper on the mood." Liz tells him. "How about this, you pay for a drink today and I'll pay next time, fair?" she offers to him. Then there's a bit of a skeptical look, "Beautiful? Did you get a concussion back there, Johnny?" she looks amused. "I'm average at best." she adds.
Johnny Blaze Johnny smirks at her, reaching over to perhaps tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I say beautiful, I mean beautiful." Yes, more aptly flirting a bit before he leans back. "But, sure if you want. I like that kind of barter system, keeps things...how should I put it? Fair." Johnny smirks at her a little bit.
Liz Sherman Liz watches him reach over, but she doesn't reach out and grab his wrist. Calm blue ocean firestarter. She does give him a bit of a smile though, "I won't disagree then." she tells him. "Thanks, Johnny." she adds to that.

Then there's a chuckle, "I don't feel like men should pay for everything when two people go to get a beer and hey, I make okay money when I'm not pissing off people at SHIELD." she tells him. "So I can afford a few beers in my downtime." she nods to this. "Has HB seen your...other face?" she asks him.
Johnny Blaze Johnny smirks at her. "Anytime." Johnny wasn't someone who said something just to flirt or for the sake of saying something. He was one of the genuine ones. He doesn't say it if he doesn't mean it, kind of thing. He smirks though.

"Yeah, he has. We worked together for a team called the Howling Commandos. We took down more than a few hellspawn together. and goddamn, do I like your way of viewing who buys what." he teases her.
Liz Sherman Liz settles back a bit, but keeps her elbows on the table. She didn't get etiquette classes and it's probably the most annoying to those who might want her to keep her elbows off the table. She doesn't think Johnny is going to yell at her though.

"He'd mentioned them once. I wasn't sure who all was on the team or if there was a rotation like some groups." she admits. Then she takes a moment to pull out a pen and grabs a napkin. She writes her number down and slides it across to him, "In case you want to get ahold of me again. Or need some help with any weirdos." she offers.
Johnny Blaze Johnny seems to be genuinely amused with Liz, and since manners are tossed quite literally out of the window, Johnny also rests his elbows on the table. When she explains that she ddidn't know who was on the team, he shrugs. "You probably would've been a good addition, to be honest." He smirks though. "But they, for some reason, pulled the plug on the boyband."

"Probably for the best." Then he gets a phone number and he smiles at her. "I'll text you later so you have my number too."
Liz Sherman Liz's lips quirk up into a bit of a smile, "I seem to do well with teams when I'm not butting heads with leadership. Kind of hoping time away and a new perspective might keep me out of trouble." she tells him. "I would have liked having another team though. Making friends for me is rare due to..." she makes the exploding motion with her hands.

"I'll look forward to getting a text then. One that isn't asking if I've seen cat number forty or whatever." she shakes her head.
