Colossus Piotr looks over the lake, finally settled in after returning from his long hiatus. He's pleased to see his sister doing well. She doesn't think she is, but, frankly, after all she's been through, her not climbing the walls or trying to stab people is a good status quo insofar as he's concerned. The problems she does has he can hopefully help with.

He's clad in a simple t-shirt depicting Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' painting on navy blue, stretched over his broad chest, along with a pair of jeans and tennis shoes.

He enjoys the silence, watching the sun go down and admiring the light as it shines on the water. He takes a few photos, reference for a painting he'll work on over the weekend.
Jubilee Having been out on a jog, Jubilee is currently trotting down the path with a pair of hand weights. Today she's wearing a loose fitted red t-shirt, a pair of bright blue cargo shorts and some black sneakers. Her dark hair is held back by a band to keep out of her face. Upon spying the large man, she slows to a stop, then starts over in his direction with her usual upbeat and perky swagger. "Hey, Petey! Holy cow, you're home!" She says joyfully as she looks to join him.

"Have you had a chance to see everyone yet and get settled? You /are/ staying this time, right?" She asks as she thumps down next to him on her butt, leaning back to plant her hands behind her.
Colossus Colossus smiles at Jubilee, putting away his phone, "Da, yes, I am staying," he says. "I have had enough of being off on my own. I have missed my friends back here at Xavier's. Yes, I am including you," he says easily.

"Working to get in shape, I see? Has Scott been bothering people about their fitness regimes again? He is very diligent, but I think a bit too harsh at times."
Jubilee Bumping her shoulder to his, Jubilee laughs. "I'm the gymnastics teacher, I gotta be in shape. Can't let the kids out hustle me in my own class you know. Sides', with all the nut baggery going on out there, we kinda gotta be in tippy-top shape."

Glancing out across the water to see what he is taking pictures of, she grins. "I'm glad you're back, big guy. I'm sure Logan does too. No one throws him at the bad guys better than you, tinman." She drawls.
Colossus Colossus makes a sign of understanding, nodding along, "Ah, I see, well, that makes more sense, then. You always had something of the aesthetic of the aerobic phenomena anyway. Bright colors and spandex. You could easily rock a pair of leg warmers," he says a bit teasingly.

"I may be a little bit rusty. I hope I don't miss. Especially since I understand we have some very serious problems with robots going on at the moment."
Jubilee "Hey Pete, for you, I'd rock some leg warmers. Maybe crank up Let's Get Physical and I'll do some joggercise." Jubilee says as she snaps her fingers, sending a colorful 'paf' across the water. Pew!

"Yeah, we're having robot problems. Betsy, Hank and I took a trip out to see the salvage of the fourteen sentinels that got whacked the other day. Bastion was responsible. He's talking like he wants to be cool with us, but I'm sure he'll stab us in the back." Her face scrunches up. "So, you gonna teach art again?"
Colossus Colossus shakes his head, "It is a sad thing that we can simply expect betrayal. I do not disagree, but I would like to find a little bit of honor in this world. Although I suppose we will never find it among those who do not even support our right to exist."

He smiles at the spark across the water and nods, "Yes, although I'm not sure when I'll fully pick up class again. I'm going to take a couple of weeks to get settled in before I throw myself into labor," he jokes. "I have spent much of my life working. Freetime I have had little."
Jubilee "Well, I got a ton of freetime if you want to hang out. I mostly just lounge out here at the cabin and watch a ton of TV when I'm not between classes. I'm just waiting for Scott or Jean to give the word so I can throw the costume on and get to work." Jubilee lobs another paf across the water, letting the colorful blob skip along the water's surface.

"Sooooo.. what kinda downtime are you looking to get into?"
Colossus Colossus scratches his head, "Ah. That, perhaps, is where I am not so sure. I do not know what to do very much. My painting, of course, but I am not much for TV. And I already have music. What do people do? I grew up on a farm where anytime I had off was spent...sleeping, so that I would have energy to go back and work again the next day. Then I came here and trained. I can play basketball, but I do not think I can play basketball for two weeks," he says.

"Perhaps you can teach me how to have fun?"
Jubilee Giving him a grin, Jubilee raises her brows upwards. "Sure, would love to show you how to have some real fun. I know I've been /dying/ to get out and go dancing. Maybe a movie or two. A jogging partner." Clicking her tongue against her teeth, she thinks.

"Oh! I'm teaching a parkour class for the new kids. You want in on that? Maybe I can use you as an obstacle for them to try to escape from or something. It's designed to make people think on their feet and trust their body."
Colossus Colossus eeks a little bit, "Not sure parkour is exactly my forte. I am working on my flexibility, but I find that trying to play the agility card does not always work in my favor. I am top-heavy and more likely to just knock my way through obstacles than climb over them. But yes, feel free to let your students jump over me, I am happy to play pommel horse,' he says.

"The only dancing I know how to do is the waltz and even that I am unsteady with. But I will try," he says.
Jubilee "I was thinking maybe you could chase them through the gym and they have to use parkour to evade you. You won't need to do any of the jumping about yourself." Jubilee laughs with an upturn of her lips in amusement.

"You'll really go dancing with me?" She asks with a bit of surprise in her voice. "Cool beans, Petey. I'm down to learn how to waltz if you wanna teach me."
Colossus Colossus nods, "Just because I am made of metal sometimes does not mean I am a stiff," he says. "Well, sometimes I probably am. I was not raised to be...lighthearted. I grew up in tragedy, in poverty. In repression. Having fun sometimes seemed traitorous. Like I was disrespecting what I had lost, what I had suffered," he says.

He shakes his head, "But life is...better now. Illyana is back, safe and sound. My parents are well in Russia. And, while Sentinels threaten our lives, we have hope and comrades to help us endure and defeat them. So yes. Perhaps I can allow myself to go dancing. And I will try to teach you the waltz."
Jubilee "Cool, and if you aren't into the loud music or anything, we don't even gotta stay. I'm cool with just walking about and getting fresh air and maybe snagging some dinner." Jubilee says as she leans back in the grass, tucking her arms under her head as she stares upwards to the sky.

"Your sister is doing well here. Hoping she'll make some friends. Oh! You talk to Kitty yet?"
Colossus Colossus nods, "Walking I am good at. I can walk for a very, very long time," he says.

"I think she will. She is having a prickly rivalry with another magical girl. I hope it will turn to them being friends. That is how it always goes in movies," he says. "Katya and I have not yet spoken since my return. I will always have very fond feelings for her. I hope she feels the same about me," he says.
