Owner Pose
Jason Todd Escapes were made, clothes were changed, streets were walk and the three victorious bat-kids strolled into the backroom Chinese place that had become popular with Jason and Carrie. There were the usual accoutrements, dead chickens in the window, a live rooster in a cage, several old large paper fans on the wall. As they enter the group of old men, smoking and playing Mah Jong in the back look up, weigh the newcomers and then go back to their game.

Jason leads the way to the table, he looks like hell, it had been the first time out of his uniform in days, and though he showered he still looks tired and a bit pale. Still the smells from the kitchen revive him and he calls out for a waitress in Mandarin before flopping into his seat.
Damian Wayne      Damian, in no unusual terms, felt more at home here than in the Manor. Being reminded of when he lived with his mother in the League.

Damian sat down, he was just as rough as Jason was, pulling double duty like Bruce did, a full day at the office, a full night on patrol. He managed to eat, but sleep was at a premium, even for him, who could go without for three days. He looked over the menu, in mandarin of course. "I love the smell of hot oil. The chillis, the garlic, it's perfection."
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley was just about in the same boat. While she wasn't as physical as her counterparts, she certainly had been up a lot in spite of catching cat naps when she could. Red Bull and coffee had been her friend for too many days in a row. Solid, good food like this sounded like a blessing in disguise. Still she looked a bit more upkept than these two if only due to some concealer beneath her eyes, and a bit of highlighter on her cheeks to give her a healthy glow. The lenses of her glasses helped obscure the rest.

Wearing her usual 'comfy clothes' she so favored when she wasn't having to dress up for any reason, she sinks down to sit next to them with a tired sigh followed by a satisfied smile. "It all smells good to me," she responds with a knowing nod. "Then again I like spicy food. There was this little place near where I lived I'd sweep up for in exchange for their homemade kimchee when I was younger. I'd put it on my mac and cheese sometimes." Ewww. Maybe she'll be fine with chicken feet.

A glance is given to the menu and she shrugs. "I'm no good at reading that, you guys order for me. Ma po tofu, the real stuff, please. Ain't no sissy white girl can't handle spice."
Jason Todd Damian gets a nod from Jason, "Right? I swear that's what drew me to check out this place's trash cans when I was kid, the food smelled so good," he says shamelessly about his past on the streets.

"Right, you like things spicy," Jason says with a smile as he takes a peak at the menu. "Noted." Though he looks up shortly after, "You holding out on me Kelley? You got to show us this kimchi place if it's still around, fair is fair."

When the waitress arrives, he orders a round of drinks, Baiju, for the table then put in the order for all the bao in the kitchen right now as well as Ma po tofu. He looks to Damian, "You sill want that duck?" he switches to Mandarin again ordering three fish, those would be the whole kinds with the eyes of course.

The waitress doesn't bat an eye about bring drinks for a kid as she waits to see if the table wants to order more.
Damian Wayne      Damian looked to the menu and smiles. "Yeah, lets go for it." He adds in.

"Never got used to kimchi. It was...pungent."

Baiju, yum. The youngest Wayne was very excited for this meal.
Carrie Kelley "I think it helps if it's fresher," Carrie remarks in regards to the kimchi. Jason's questions though earn her hands raising with a sigh at the question of it being open still. "No, not anymore. It was just a little convenience store where they sold some things they made. They got robbed and moved somewhere safer." Something which earns a little frown at the memory. It was ages ago anyway.

She seems quite happy with her order of food and leans back in her seat comfortably lacing her hands over her stomach with a satisfied sigh. "This sounds so good though." Nevermind she was going to have to try those congealed chicken feet, the rest sounded good. Even the fish.

There's a little noise by the door as some other customers come in and peer around. An older woman and man, clearly married. They really looked out of place in this neighborhood: She wore Prada and Givenchy, he wore an older Armani. Both were done up as if they'd been out on the town at some event or another, or just catching a theater show.

"Are you aboslutely *sure* this is the right place?" The blonde woman utters in a mock-whisper leaning in to his side while clutching her purse defensively.

"You did want to try some local spots, dear," he reminds even though he stares down his nose at one of the hanging chickens. "It came highly regarded by some of our clients. Just think of it as an experience. You do have hand sanitizer though, don't you dear?"
Jason Todd "Heh, it's not so bad, I like to put it on hot dogs," Jason says of kimchi. "Yes, we Gotham kids," he nods to Carrie while talking to Damian. "Are all phillistines."

As for the shop? Jason frowns. "So litterally anywhere else then?" Jason says of the shop and where it might have moved to. "Shame, sounded nice. Like little spots off the map like that, keeps out the tourists."

Spoke too soon though as the couple walk into his favourite off the map joint. Jason rolls his eyes at the conversation and leans forward and lowers his voice, "I am calling not it if those idiots get mugged leaving the neighbourhood."

He eyes their high end stuff. "Or you know mug them myself, to make sure when it happens they don't get hurt. Ounce of prevention, right?'" he says with a bit of a smirk.
Damian Wayne      The pair stick out like a sore thumb. And Damian saw it from a mile away. "...I'll take it." He says, still working off his anger. Should they need some kind of saving of course.

"Ever wonder why the fish eye is the best part?" He honestly had no clue, but agreed with Jason there. Something about it was just simply the best.

Damian had changed into more normal street clothes, nothing like the dress shirts and suits that he usually enjoyed. A tee shirt and some shorts, and some sneakers that Alfred had insisted on purchasing for Damian, something about 'street cred' and whatnot.
Carrie Kelley "Ohgod," Carrie groans beneath her breath at the entrance of the couple along with their whining over the place. She sinks down in her seat leaning her head on the tabletop while draping one arm over her hair as if she might just hide. At least Damian takes the chance to offer them protection but her? She looks as if she'd rather bury herself in the ground right now.

The woman sniffs the air with a crinkle of her nose. "So long as they have decent crab rangoon I'm willing to give it a try," she reasons as her eyes skim over the place... Only to settle on the table where the trio sit. Her eyes widen, and she clutches her husbands' arm tighter. "Look over there! Isn't that...?"

The man looks in the direction she indicates staring at the short form of Damian with a little cluck of his tongue. "Seems so. Here of all places, though? Come along, dear." With that the taller man wearing glasses ushers his wife toward the trio's table.

Perhaps Damian wasn't as dressed down as he thought?
Jason Todd "Dunno," Jason says with a smile for his brother. "One of life's mysteries I guess," he says. "Well that and it freaks the heck out of the people who haven't tried it yet.," there's a grin towards Carrie at that.

He nods, about Damian taking on this couple's mugging. "Great, I don't save stupid."

Jason grins broadly as the couple make their way over, looking between Damian and Carrie and back to the couple. He leans over towards where Carrie has sunken low on her chair, "You know these people?"
Damian Wayne      "Ooh salt and pepper prawns. Yes. Please." Damian adds in, one last addition to the food order.

"Shit." Damian had heard the gasping couple and tried not to say anything until they approached the table. Almost immediately his facial features changed, his eyes widened and the resting angry face wiped off his mouth, replaced with a small smile. This was the Damian Wayne the public saw day-to-day. Damian at least didn't change his voice like Bruce did.
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley glances aside to Jason wordlessly. The stare though, that says it all, and as they approach she takes a deep breath and sits up straighter. Even Damian's reaction earns a little glance along with a small nod of apparent approval at his change. Much as it was annoying for him to have to put on the fake face on a night like tonight. "Yeah, I know them," she admits begrudgingly beneath her breath. Before she can say more however the woman's voice pipes up cutting in.

"Caroline Keene Kelley! Dear, what *ever* are you doing in such a place?" It's not quite a polite question. In fact it's outright blunt, even accusatory.

The man gives a hum of agreement with a quick glance to his watch. The little snap and pull motion of his arm lets his sleeve slide back to show off the Rolex as he checks the time. "And on a school night at that," he adds reproachfully. Closer to the table it's easier to notice that his hair isn't a brown, but more of a deep burnt orange faded with age. It only takes a moment for his glance to shift to Damian, then Jason with a hint of malice in his gaze fixed on the older of the two.

His wife seems to have finally noticed and utters, "Oh! Dear, it's the Wayne boy!" Reaching out she pats Damian's shoulder consolingly, "We're so sorry to hear your father was hurt recently. Is he doing well?"

Carrie takes a deep breath. "Hi mom, hi dad."
Jason Todd It's the all three names that give it away. "Holy shit it's your folks," he says before she names them that way.

Then as they cross the way to the table Jason under goes a change both similar and opposite to Damians. He slouches in his chair, puts on his smuggest smirk and then he reaches out to put his arm around Carrie's shoulder and kiss her cheek if she doesn't slug him first.

"Hey babe, who are these people?" he asks meeting that look of malice with a look that says: 'I totally did it with your daughter, whatcha going to do about it?'.

When Carrie greets them he waggles his fingers in greeting. "Hey you two, lovely daughter you've got here."
Damian Wayne      'The Wayne Boy' manages a smile as Mr. and Mrs. Kelley make themselves known. "Good evening." He says, this Damian was a thousand times friendlier than behind closed doors. "Oh, you're Carrie's parents? Hello!" He adds in, looking to the couple.

"He is doing better, thank you. Much better than earlier this week. But I still am filling in for him at Wayne Industries. My brother and I convinced her to venture out tonight. I had a craving for duck and this is the best place in the city." Yes, he remembered the role Carrie was supposed to be at the mansion. He gives them a look that just says 'yes, she teaches me.'
Carrie Kelley Murder. That is what's on Carrie's mind right now as Jason hugs her close to give her cheek a kiss and calls her 'babe' in front of her parents. She puts on a toothy smile though clenching her jaw tight trying not to reach out and dig her fingernails into his knee. Oh, wait, no she does that after all. Granted she didn't have much in the way of nails given her nocturnal activities.

"Wayne?" Carrie's father says with a look of surprise as he glances to Damian. Instantly he offers the young Wayne a bright smile that really did look similar to Carrie's at times. Apparently she took more after her father in looks than her mother, so far as the hair and glasses went. Ah, genetics. "Oh, well I suppose that's all right then, so long as she's in good company. Then this must be..." His attention trails back to Jason giving him a doubtful look but keeping the smile in place. In spite of it he thrusts his hand out toward Jason in greeting, "Tim Drake, yes? I've heard you two were seeing each other. Good to finally meet you."

Mrs. Kelley for her part titters a little at Damian simply gushing over him. "Oh, yes of course! You're so very talented to help out in that way. I'm glad to hear he's doing well again, and that you're keeping an eye out on Caroline for us."
Jason Todd Jason offers a little, strained, "'Sup," as he's introduced as Damian's brother while Carrie digs her nails of vengence into his knee.

His eyes roll at the change in Mr. Kelley, when suddenly now that they might be worth a few billion dollars they became 'good company'.

At their guess of Jason's name, his teeth clench while still smiling, "Yep, that's me Tim Drake, I'm a huge nerd and me and Carrie here cosplay during sex."

He shakes with Carrie's dad and drags him through one of those fancy handshakes, blowing it up at the end with an actual, "Boom."
Damian Wayne      Damian stifles a single HA! As Carrie calls Jason: Tim. He wanted to laugh much much harder but he couldn't. Not when he hears 'Tim' talking to Mr. Kelley. "Boom." Is all he can say without rolling off his chair and under the table with laughter. "Oh, thanks. I mean, it's not just a show, I've been taught since I was a child on how a company should be run."
Carrie Kelley The look of doom that crosses Carrie's face is just... Impossible not to read. Even her parents glance at her with that look giving an awkward shuffle. Maybe it was the handshake from Jason, maybe it was his announcement of sex. Maybe it was all combined.

"Oh, well, hem. I mean our little girl is an adult now. Eighteen right?" Her father actually looks to Carrie for confirmation as if he weren't sure. Not that he waits for an answer, instead he loops his arm through his wife who was currently looking equally tense.

"Oh, of course! I mean you are your father's son, I'm sure you know the ins and outs of that company. Um." Mrs. Kelley looks askance at her husband, then flashes a weak smile at Carrie. "We'll let you enjoy your dinner with your friends, dear. We should talk soon though. Good night!"

With that the two bustle off for the door again and Carrie just... starts slapping Jason's arm and shoulder.

"What the hell!?"
Jason Todd "I hope so," Jason says about Carrie's age. "Or am I in some trouble!"

He smiles as they leave and can't help but call out as they "Bye, future mom and dad!"

As soon as the door clicks shut Jason bursts out laughing, despite Carrie's onslaught of slaps, "Oh my god, their faces, I think I actually made them sorry you were dating a Wayne."

Though in all this Damian's reaction isn't missed and he extends a bro fist to him "Boom?"
Damian Wayne      Once the Kelleys are gone, Damian makes his laughter known, loud and proud. And once the laughter calms down, Damian extends his fist to Jason. "Boom, Tim."

Damian, actually smiles, no act, no pretense. He is smiling and laughing. For the first time since Bruce had went down. He is having a good time, and not causing someone bodily harm.
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley crosses her arms over her chest stubbornly and kicks her chair back onto the legs rocking in annoyance. Yet the laughter from the two was rather contagious. After a moment she can't help but chuckle some herself with a shake of her head. "God, yeah, those were them. That's why I didn't really introduce them around before," she points out with a glance back in the direction they left.

"Ugh. I'm not gonna live this down am I?"
Jason Todd Jason can barely breathe when he bumps his fist with Damian he's laughing so hard. He explodes the fist and wipes his eyes. "Oh god," he says between pants for breath. He catches Damian's smile, and grins himself. He doesn't say anything just in case that ruins it, but that sight was worth being painfully murdered by Carrie.

He looks over her way then relieved to see her laughing, "Yeah, I can see why," he says. "We're sort of assholes," to say nothing of her parents, Jason hadn't missed her dad wasn't sure how old she was.

"Probably not, but if you want me to talk to them and smooth things over, let me know. Despite appearances I'm sort of awesome at that."
Damian Wayne      "Probably not." He comments, continuing to smile and laugh gently. He calmed down, resting against his chair and enjoying the moment, finally. "I do not think even I could save you from this." Damian offers, looking to Carrie, still smiling.
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley just shakes her head a bit at the offer to smooth things over. "No, it's fine. I'll just say you were drunk off your ass," she jokes back at Jason with a smirk of amusement, before letting out a sigh. "Honestly wasn't expecting to run into them. They usually- You saw what they're like," she reasons gesturing off in the distance.

"Anyway. Dinner. I'll worry about how to handle that later." Damian's grin earns one in return though since it was good to see him in better spirits. Even if it was at her expense.
