Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie is sitting in one of the recliners near a corner light music playing as he has a tablet in hand, and seems to take a moment reading something and then either swiping it left or right. Doug just heading out of the room with the Keep looking at places line. Sam has a cheerwine beside him about half drank
Shannon	By the smell of things as Shannon shuffles into the rec room, in her favorite tank top, red tartan sweat pants, and sheepdog slippers PJ's, she's been at it again in the kitchen. In her hand is a plate with a healthy helping of what smells like another attempt at apple brown betty. Doug's line gets a raised eyebrow from her as he sweeps past her, and then she looks over at Sam. "What was -that- all about?"
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks up and says "Hey Kiddo." He smirks a bit at the food, and sets the tablet aside, house and apartments on it. He knows Shannon by well now, and says "Doug, myself and maybe Berto might be getting a place in town, so if we are working late or need to do something we can't really do here, we have a place to do it.
Shannon	Shannon's wings droop almost instantly, her eyes going wide and starting to mist up. She's dead silent for some moments after the news hits, and just nods once. Without a word, she settles down in a nearby beanbag chair, offering her plate to Sam.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie takes the plate and says "I aint moving out full time Shannon." He tells her setting the plate aside to lean and take her hand "There are nights, Doug is tired, or I am tired and the club closes at 3 or 4 am. If have a place in town can crash there and not have to drive home. " He looks at her, and says "I will still be here most of the time."
Shannon	Shannon just nods, still silent for a moment longer, but a single tear trickles down her face. "That's not going to stop me from missing you." She squeezes his hand briefly, and nudges the plate towards him. "Any closer this time?" Her voice is just a whisper.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Ah aint going to be gone enough to be missed kiddo." He sighs a bit and will reach over to wipe the tear away, and then takes the plate to try a bite of it. "Getting there getting there, wager you may have less in the kitchen than you had when you came in here. " He offers her a smile and says honestly looking at maybe a night or two a week at max not being here. Late night at the club or maybe a dinner date or something along those lines.
Shannon	Shannon is very quiet for another moment or two. "Didn't think Josh was leaving, either." She does smile a little bit, though, hearing at least her attempts at the apple brown betty are getting closer. "Good. I was hoping to cheer Doug up with that some, he's looked awful down the last few times he's been here. Plus, hey... how else can I spoil my big brother?" There's a pause, her eyebrows going up. "Wait... a dinner date? Who is it, and do I have to give her the talk about not breaking your heart?"
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks to her and says "Well, one Ah aint Josh, and two even if Ah moved full time, Ah would still be close enough for you to come see me most everyday, but Ah still plan on living here mostly. As for who I have a date with it aint sure when but Andrea, sorta set me up with Alexis the fiddle player."
Shannon	Shannon raises her eyebrows a bit. "The one that came to the club that one time? And pretty much chewed me out on stage? Ha. This should be interesting." Nodding towards the tablet, she tries to smile a little bit, though another tear falls and she sniffles a little bit. "That the place you're looking at?"
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "That is one of them, looking at a few different places and still have to talk to Berto. If he aint interested then Doug and ah will need a cheaper place, but pretty much where ever it is will be in mutant town if I get my way. Also you know if you need me and Ah aint here you can call and how long does it take me to get here?"
Shannon	Shannon frowns a little bit and nods. "Thing is... with you there and Andrea here... I'm sorry, but she's not team lead. YOU are." Her tone's gone just a little bit clipped, not relishing this one little bit.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "I am team lead for all of you guys and my guys, but if it is just you guys, and I am not there, you need to be able to depend on someone to lead don't ya?
Shannon	Shannon frowns deeply. "Yes, and I'm not sure how far I can depend on her. I'm sorry, but nearly getting eaten by someone doesn't exactly do much to engender trust. I know, I know, she swore blue about protecting me and all, but when you're facing that wolf and you know you're the prey... yeah."
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "Well Ah got a feeling she won't be giving ya those type of looks any more to be honest, but Ah can sorta understand it. One of the important things around here is second chances. without them Ah would not even be here"
Shannon	Shannon nods, and grimaces. "The other aspect of that is one she's admitted herself. The longer she is the wolf, the harder it is for her to come back. I get it that you want someone else here as a 'just in case'. But may I really strongly recommend there be a third-string backup, as another 'just in case'? Because if the poo really hits the fan, and for whatever reason she gets stuck, then she could be in deep trouble herself. Who's going to back up the backup?"
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Remember the whole training sessions with each leading? That is part of why Ah want all of you to have some experience, but if Ah has to point one out right now, and Ah don't mind you, but if Ah were going to probably would be Sam."
Shannon	Shannon nods once. "I was actually going to suggest him myself. What did you think I was going to say?" She chuckles just a little bit and rolls her eyes.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie shrugs a bit and says "Not sure to be honest. He will smile at her, and says "So what you think of the lady who was hollaring at ya on stage?
Shannon	"Other than that she's got one helluva set of lungs on her?" Shannon rolls her eyes and laughs a little. "Don't know what to think. She wasn't there very long." Since Sam's not doing much with the plate she brought in, she steals the fork and grabs a bite of the dessert, looking like a little kid with crumbs on her face for a moment. "Wonder why the heck she was hollering. I suck."
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "She was not hollaring you suck, she was hollaring you were not showing your talent off. She was saying you were to good to not want to get on stage. Think you will like her if what Ah saw earlier today is an sign about her."
Shannon	"Good. Then let /her/ get on stage. I only owe ya one song on karaoke night. Talent, my ass." One eyebrow lofts, then the other, as she listens. "Okay, am I hearing bells here?"
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie looks at her, and says "Ok, you don't want me to move out but your marrying me off before my first date?
Shannon	Shannon shrugs. "I might not want you moving out but it's happening anyways. It's just the way of things, like it or not. At least you deserve to be happy, too, on top of it."
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "Well as I said at most a couple days a week, but as for this is just a first date thought did find out she is a PI, as well as a musican. She was in the shelter when Andrea, and I ran into her. She was singing to the kids there making their day."
Shannon	Shannon nods slowly. "She breaks your heart, I break hers." Her voice has gone very low, with a steely quality to it that Sam's probably only heard once or twice.
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie chuckles a bit at this and says "You know your sounding like me, but I at least try to give folks time to start to know one another." He teases
Shannon	Shannon frowns and nods. "Still... having your heart broken sucks. It sticks with ya. I can't stand the thought of anyone doing that to you, because twice it's happened to me, and each one was worse than the last. To see someone I've come to count as family go through that..."
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie will frown a bit looking at her. "Well just know I aint planning on anything going any where beyond a date or two, in fact there is someone else may go out with butt waiting to see how that goes.
Shannon	Shannon nods, and flexes her fingers, curling her hands into fists. "Same thing applies to her. She breaks your heart, I break her." She glances up at him, raising an eyebrow. "Okay, that frown does not bode well. What's up?"
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie says, "Well feels bad that I hurt ya." He tells her"
Shannon	Shannon shrugs, and smiles a little bit. "It's gotten a bit better over time. At least you were honest about it from the start. The one that really hurt was Bean. I'd never bring it up to him, though. Just really sucks when you actually think you've got a shot at getting to know someone like that, it seems to be returned, and then... bam. You come smack up against a brick wall. An honest one, at least... he /was/ honest, too... but still a brick wall." Uncurling her hands, she goes for a bit more of the betty, nibbling on it. "Worked out for the best in both cases, so don't beat yourself up over it. Just... you always remember how that kind of hurt feels, so when you care about someone, you'd give anything to keep them from having to go through the same thing."
Samuel Guthrie	Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Well I hope your happy with how we turned out kidd." He will take a bit of the better, and offers her the rest of the cheerwine. "I need to go figure out what I am going to say to Berto, you can finish this off, but make sure you get some rest tonight
Shannon	Shannon nods and pulls Sam into a fierce hug. "Yeah, actually, I am. Just hope you are, too. I gained way better than a boyfriend... got a brother, and a best friend out of both deals." She smiles a little bit, and shakes her head. "I'll try, but as it is, it's nearly time for the morning run, and if I miss another one, Bean's gonna think I've wound up in the medbay again. I promise I'll take a quick nap after classes, so at least I'll be fresh for training down by the lake." Her smile widens a little bit more. "Really glad you're both still in my life, no matter how it turned out. You're both real blessings, you know that?"
