Vi Vi is out back of the school today. She's tossed down a dozen of her washers about the backyard in a large area, easily as big as a football field. She runs across the ground towards a tree, speed increasing so that when she hits the trunk she runs up it partway before jumping away from it out into space.

Vi pushes off two of the washers, which being held in place by the ground beneath them, causes all of the force to be exerted on Vi instead. Her body moves in a ballistic arc away from one end of the school. She reaches out towards metal in the Roof Tower's structure. The result is like she's tied a rope or other line to the tower, giving her centripetal force that curves her path in an arch around the structure.

The cool air has her cheeks just slightly rosy. She doesn't seem to mind the cold that much despite how fast she's moving creating quite a breeze to add to the cold.
Spider-Man Pete is here late to grade some papers, homework mostly, and just stepping outside on the balcony to get a bit of fresh air and a change of scenary when he sees Vi leaping from the tree into her invisible line swing that brings her closer into view of him standing there with a curious expression on his face.

He's got on a light jacket and rubs his palms together while turning slowly to regard where it is she lands, how she does so, and... really he's just kind of in awe of it to be honest. "She's webslinging..." Said to himself, just a little under his breath, as he watches. "Man, if there's another spider..."
Vi The movements certainly have a lot in common with how webslinging. Though there isn't any visible web or other material, the way her body moves at some points definitely matches a linear force that is causing her to curve.

There are other moments where she seems to be pulled upwards, not so much swinging but more like Spider-Man launching himself into the air with his webs elasticity, but then afterwards moving ballisticly. Though she veers about, changing direction a few times quite rapidly as if being affected by the pull of multiple webs at once, dropping and creating new ones as she goes? It might be a bit perplexing, especially without knowing about the washers that are not very visible in the grass at any kind of distance.

Vi drops towards the ground, her body slowing rather than accelerating with the fall, before landing fairly lightly on the ground.
Spider-Man It is, indeed, quite vexing.

Pete watches the display of athleticism with a little frown where he cannot quite figure out what's going on, but then he puts in variables that others might not. There definitely isn't anything tangible, he's watching for the tell tale signs of some kind of elastic band or other substance to propel her about the field and around the building, but there's definitely some force at play.

So instead he traces the tragectory against the most likely anchor points.

He's got some supreme spartial awareness, afterall.

Glancing up, then over, and around as Vi moves.

He cannot quite deduce what it is she's using to move, but he knows it has something to do with an element found in the mansion... "Magnetism?" Furrowing his brow a little, watching the positive/negative reaction against various objects as she seems to spring about unimpeded by gravitational pull at point. "mmm.. force manipulation maybe."

It's not said very loud, but still relatively quiet, as he leans against the balcony railing to get a better view.
Vi Vi rarely uses her Tin at more than low levels, though has it going enough that her hearing is on par with a canine's. She looks up for the source of the voice, seeing a man that she isn't familiar with. She still only knows a fraction of the people at the school, plus a larger fraction that are starting to look familiar but she doesn't know their name or what they do.

Vi looks about her and then holds up a hand near her chest. One at a time the washers dart to her hand and are caught and dropped into the pouch at her belt. She drops the last one down on the ground near her feet but just on the other side of her from where Peter is up on a balcony.

The petite nineteen year old shoots back up into the sky, moving in an arch away from what she dropped. Though she reaches a hand back and that washer flies off the ground to her once she's airborne.

Vi's course changes as if she'd webbed the balcony's metal railing, her course correcting towards it. As she arcs down, she slows as if with a couple of pulses, before landing on the balcony.

"Hello," she offers quietly, lifting her hand to give a small little wave of greeting to Peter.
Spider-Man That more or less confirms something for Pete, watching the washer display and the way she reacts to it, then travels along a course defined by the metal railing upon which he's leaning now. "Hey." Said with a grin, tucking up his ballcap so that he can turn it around backwards out of his face. "Those are some fancy moves you got..." Thumbing at the yard where she was kind of flying around a moment prior.

"I wasn't spying or anything, though. I just came out to get some air... staring at papers for the last few hours had me falling asleep at my desk." The thumb back hand reaches out, extending in Vi's direction. "I'm Peter Parker, I teach chemistry here..." He wants to ask how she was doing it, but that would be rude this soon into the conversation.

"So, was that magnetism or some kind of force manipulation?"

So much for that...
Vi The teen's dark brown hair is a bit unruly after flying about through the air. She finger-combs it back as she peeks up at Peter Parker. The comment about her moves gets a soft smile from the girl. "Thank you. I'm still kind of working things out," she admits to him. "Not really a lot of time to work out what to do next sometimes," she says of flying when one can't just zoom any direction they want like Superman or Magneto.

Vi gives a little shrug and nod at the comment of not spying, not seeming to have thought he was. "I'm Vi," she offers quietly. "I'm taking some special courses," she says. "I've never been to a school before," the girl adds quietly.

Vi reaches a hand out and one of the washers flies up out of the pouch towards her chest where she catches it. "Not magnetism. Or at least, that's what the research men said. They didn't know how I did it or what force it was. That's what they wanted to figure out. Well, one thing."

Vi holds the coin resting on the flat of her hand. She holds the hand up above her head and then the coin flies upwards a few feet before falling back to her where she catches it. She holds it up away from her a bit and this time it shoots off away from her again, before she seems to draw it back to her. In each case it moved directly towards or away from her.
Spider-Man Peter inclines his head slightly, "Yeah." He's got first hand experience with that part, at least. Part of him wants to explain that, but that part of him is awful quiet right now... Rubbing at the back of his neck as she explains that it's not magnetism, in and of itself, "Maybe some kind of polaris force then..."

That fact is confirmed, if slightly anyways, by her coin trick.

He moves a finger to trace the disk as it flies directly away from her in whatever direction she points it. "A singularity, maybe. One centric force applied in a single direction like a line between two trees holding a bead of water..." Scientific reasoning, he furrows his brow and brushes hands down his jeans, "Sorry..."

Sheepishly grinning, "I'm constantly amazed by some of the things the kids here can do.."
Vi Vi listens to Peter's hypothesis, but there are not many notes of understanding shown to what he said. "I don't know how it works. I can sense the metal around me when I'm burning my Steel or Iron," she says, "And I just know how to make it come towards me or push it away."

Vi seems to realize some of what she said might not make sense. "I have to have metal in my stomach to burn to fuel the power. Only certain metals will work, each for a different ability," she says.

She reaches down to her pocket and pulls out a vial. It has a clear liquid in it, but also there are flakes of metal floating around in it. "I am starting to run low. I only have what I was able to take away from the research lab with me," she says hesitantly.
Spider-Man Pete doesn't seem confused by what she's saying, not even before she clarifies, at least not until she mentions metal in her stomach... That draws his brow deeper together, but relaxes slightly when she produces the vial of liquid with metal chips..

An air of loose understanding follows, rubbing at his jaw curiously regarding her fully.

"Huh, well that's a heck of a gift you've got, Vi... Reminds me of Spider-Man, but different.. I don't think he feels metal at all."
Vi Vi perks up a little bit as she hears that her power reminds Peter of someone. "Is he someone who might have tips for me on my power?" she asks, not trying to contain the interest from her voice.

The teen slips the vial back into her pocket, saying, "I don't think I know him yet. There are so many people here, I haven't met most of them still," she confesses. "Does he look like a spider? I think I've seen some people who look kind of like insects, but I don't recall a spider," she says.
Spider-Man That genuinely amuses Pete and he laughs as much, shaking his head. "He's not a real spider, he's just some idiot dressed in a spider costume.. but he swings around like you do. Not really in the same way, but..." He shrugs slightly and looks back out into the yard.

"I'm sure he'd give you some tpis on it, if you wanted. He owes me a few favors, at any rate, so if you'd like to get in touch with him, I don't mind passing the word along?" Briefest of pauses, "I'm sort of his PR guy."
Vi Vi's excitement grows a little bit as Peter offers to help her get in touch with him. "I'd appreciate that a lot. Yes, please would you? I am staying in room two-one-two in the girl's hall," she says so Peter will know how to get in touch with her. Even if most people would use a phone or email.

Vi glances out at the area around her, burning Iron again for a second, feeling where the metal in the area is. Making sure all of her washers are accounted for in her pouch, she turns back to Peter. "I'm going to go inside and get something to eat. Would you like to come, Mister Parker?" she asks the teacher.
