Owner Pose
Marinette DuPain With Adrien otherwise preoccupied and Marinette without class today, it was the perfect opportunity to call a friend to have her sort through the bedroom and a half worth of clothes, shoes, jewelry, et cetera that Gabriel Agreste had personally seen delivered. Yes. Bedroom. Not closet.

Snacks and drink were prepared... Because this was going to rake a while and then the text was sent out:

'Hey. Wanna come happy me go through this mess? Pleeeeaaase? <3'
Vorpal A Rabbit Hole breaks reality briefly to manifest itself in the middle of the living room. "There's air conditioning, of course I'd love to help!" Vorpal says, stepping through the Rabbit Hole and into the room, the rift closing up neatly behind him. "You have no idea to what lengths I will go to avoid the heat. The repair-man doesn't come over the weekends. Heck, yesterday I almost fell asleep on Gar's bed because the air was so cool and those sheets were sooooo cold..." he shakes his head. "This summer is going to kill me."
Marinette DuPain It should say what Marinette was expecting tjat she didn't squeal and jump. "You know there's spare gedrooms here, right?" This is asked as she holds out a glass of iced hibiscus tea. "No dying. I have, like, two bedroom of sruff to go through..."

She sighs and starts towards the stairs. "I know a lot of people would be beside themselves at have a world renown designer they used to admire hand deliver stuff... Me? Not so much... Dress and gowns or casual and accessories first?"
Vorpal The Cheshire cat has a devious look on his face. The kind that should worry some people. "Hmmm, let's take a look at the dresses and evaluate what Mr. Agreste's generosity has given you. And I couldn't possiby bother the two of you with my presence at night. I mean, don't you value your privacy at certain hours?"

The mischievous grin widens and he points to his ears, "I can hear... a lot with these."
Marinette DuPain "Oh my god..." A bright blush flares to life on Marinette's cheeks. "You wouldn't be a bother at all, Vorpal. I swear. Everything will be fine."

She pushes the door of one room open to reveal almost a hundred ball gowns, evening gowns and cocktail dresses. (http://pin.it/8mV9cu8.)

"And I get the feeling there will be more..."
Vorpal The cat's mouth curls into a slightly more evil grin as he passes by the gowns. For a moment, he looks at the white one with bronze leaves, admiting it. It's a beautiful gown, but it simply isn't Marinette. At least, not to him, anyways. That aquamarine silk and chiffon one, though? Definitely.

"I can see you'd probably like a few of these. But the gesture- it's far from a generous one. It's an imposition. A rewriting of you to be to Adrien what Mrs. Agreste was to him."

He stops and blinks, dazzled by the beauty of the peacock dress. He holds it up.

If only men had a choice of outfits as glorious as these- but what was he thinking? A short and a t-shirt was already crossing the heat line. Fancy formal suits would suffocate him.

"How evil can I be, Marinette?"
Marinette DuPain "Some of these -were- Mrs. Agreste's!" She reaches over and pulls a gown off the rack. It looks completely see through aside from the beadwork and such (http://pinterest.com/pin/842806517737094804/?source_app=android). "Like this one!"

The gown is hung back up. "I cannot wear his missing mother's gowns, Vorpal. It wouldn't be right..." And then her head tilts. "The dresses have to remain whole..."
Vorpal "Oh, I'm not thinking of damaging them. But it sounds like Mr. Agreste needs a lesson in letting go."

Vorpal looks at the gown. It is gorgeous. He sighs. "What *I* would do would be to keep the ones that suit you, the ones that weren't Mrs. Agreste's. And then have Adrien auction the rest in a big, public auction for a charitable purpose, making the donaton in his mother's name."

He strolls among the dresses, trailing a hand across the material here and there. "It sounds sacrilegous, doesn't it? I mean, it's ok to keep a few gowns as a memento. But what is the purrrpose of... of this?" he waves a hand at the dress menagerie. "It's a living mausoleum. Adrien needs to overcome this. So does his father. But Mr. Agreste won't... so maybe Adrien should. I know... I know. She's missing, not dead- but after so many years?"

The cat shakes his head. "If she's alive and comes back, she can always buy new dresses. If she's gone? Do you think she'd be happy seeing her son and her husband clinging to her like that? It's almost as if they're the ghosts trapped in the past."
Marinette DuPain "It is beautiful but if you could have seen the look on Adrien's face when he pulled it out...." She siggs softly. "And I don't know which are which.."

Her eyes widen at the suggestion then snap over to the gowns. "I... Don't know... I don't know if he would. Some of these are from his father's very first line... It'd be great if he did! Tgere's so many and next season they'll all be replaced anyhow... And you should never be seen in the same gown twice..."

She bites down on her bottom lip. "If just half of them sold.... A charity like SoupKitchen or Habitat for Humanity... Or funding scholarships..."
Vorpal Vorpal puts his hands on Marinette's shoulders. "Then we should talk to him about it. There are many ways to honor the missing, Mari. You can stay tied to the past, or you can honor them by propelling their memory forward. Think about it. Mrs. Agreste will be associated with this gesture- and she will be loved by more than just her family. And it'll be healthy for Adrien. He needs to open and air out his own closet. If you do it, Mr. Agreste will never forgive you- but if it's Adrien heading the initiative... well. Maybe he'll be forced to come to terms. No?"

He holds up the purple with the butterfly back. "I like this color, I don't know why."
Marinette DuPain "I don't need Gabriel Agreste's permission or forgiveness. But... I don't want to put Adrien in the middle and me doing it would."

She smiles at the dress. "The Cheshire Cat likes purple... I wonder why... Personally... Purple butterflies freak me out..." Damn akumas.

"I think you're rigjt about Adrien needing to let go and move forward though. I'm half convinced the only reason he models is because of the connection to his mother. You should see him on a shoot or bedoee a runway show... He's so... Lifeless..."
Vorpal "Has he ever talked about what he'd LIKE to do, if he weren't doing what he's doing?" the Cheshire cat asks, leaning against a wall and crosses his arms. He's not certain Adrien would, being so tightly wound up...
Marinette DuPain Mari shrugs before shaking her head. "I've tried to talk to him about what he likes... What he wants.... I can't even get him to help me pick out furniture or consider an apartment that isn't here because... This is the furniture his dad pit in her and this is where his father wants him to be... I know... he loves science. Physics, chemistry... stuff like that. It makes him light up..."
Vorpal "Tell you what. There is a thing I can do to get Adrien to really release all the bottled-up stuff. He and I are going to have a boy's night here in the apartment. I will hook you up with my cousin to see a movie."

He smirks, "Then, I get Adrien slightly drunk. Just drunk enough that his barriers are down. Just drunk enough that he can be frank with me. The more I know of what's ailing him, the more I'll know how we can help him. Mind you, ideally -after- the auction. Not before, he'll be dealing with high emotions during the process of letting go and I don't want him to be raw, it would only do more harm than good."
Marinette DuPain Marinette considers this a moment before nodding her head. It stings that she can't get Adrien to open up to her. She knows he needs to though.

"Alright. No movie though. I'll just stay after at school and work on some stuff. I have suits for you and Superman to design and homework... Plenty to keep me busy..."

She motions towards the door. "Come take a look at tje sea of diamonds in the next room."
Adrien Agreste An open door! This mean the room now belongs to cat. A small kittwn sized blavk cat, who comes tearing up thw stairs, down thw 'hallway' and into the room. oh lokk! Mari legs! these sound like they are going to bw fun to climb! Plagg leaps from the floor, aiming for Marinettexs thighs...
Vorpal 5r"Ok, jewelry isn't AS creepy- since that is something that *is* traditionally passed down to families and to in-laws. These you can keep for yourself, I believe. Also, since you don't usually design jewelry, it won't have any adverse effects on your professional image- and the virtue of a good designer is how to accessorize, right?"

The cat follows Marinette through the door, and then steps aside as a black blur leaps past him.

"Don't look now, but you're about to be boarded..."
Marinette DuPain Plagg happens and it causes a sharp inhale and a whimper from Mari. "Thanks," is squeaked at Vorpal just as she reaches down to dislodge the kitten-like Kwami from her thigh. "Bonjour, chere. Having fun?"

She grins over at Vorpal. "True. The idea of wesring this stuff makes me so nervous though..."

The door is pushed open and the room is fuck of casual clothes, swimming suits, jewelry and shoes.

Shoes: http://pin.it/g0XC00d
Casual: http://pin.it/avIWAgs:
Jewelry: http://pin.it/XyRuMY8
Adrien Agreste "Konichiwa! Having a blast. This is so much more fu than tryong to distract Adrien while he's on thw phone," Plagg says, retracring claws as Mari collects him, having used just enough to cling to fabric.

"What are you doing?"
Vorpal "What a coincidence, look!" The cheshire cat holds up a pair of earrings. They're pure white butterflies. "Doesn't it look like a pair of purified akumas?" the cat grins. Of course, he knows the butterfly is the family symbol, but still.

"Hello, Plagg. No hello for a fellow cat? Fine, be that way. I shan't bring you any stinky cheese anymore, then..."

The sight of the kwami brings something to mind. "Where is Tikkibug?"
Marinette DuPain "Having Vorpal help me go through things. Adrien didn't seem to handle it very well..." She grins at the kitten, lifting him to a shoulder where she can snuggle-nuzzle him as they work. "Did you find the lamb and cheese tarts I left for you?" Silly question, isn't it?

Jer eyes flit over to Vorpal and she shivers. "Yes. Yes, they do.... I think I'm goibg to need to get my ears pierced a second time...."

She smirks, eyes rolls. "Probably perched on Adrien."
Adrien Agreste "Hello, cat. Provider of food always takes priority. Have you brought me food today? No, no you have not." states Plagg before he purrleans into Marinette's cheek.

"Is that a question? How is that a question? Also, there is now now more lamb and cheese tarts. They are all gone. There one minute. Gone the next. We may have spirits... that eat all my cheese." Plagg eyes the jewelry and fluffs with a hiss at the black blue butterfly set.

"She kicked me out of the office. So here I am."
Vorpal Vorpal smirks. "Well, this seems like an easy thing. Keep the jewelry, auction Mrs. Agreste's dresses- keeping some of the more signature ones, like the peacock one and the beaded one as mementos for Mr. Agreste, keep the other dresses that you thin would suit you, a small number, and auction the rest with Adrien's mom, as Agreste designs. Make the auction a family affair."

He snaps his fingers, "Voila. Now you don't have to go through *all* of them now. Am I not fabulous?"
Marinette DuPain Marinette's eyes widen at Plagg. "We do? That's terrible! We'll just have to have the entire penthouse exorcised then, won't we? I can't allow something to run off with all my kitty-kwami's food, no can I?" A heart beat and then, "Aww. She did? Well, I guess you'll just have to sit here and suffer pets and nuzzles until she lets you back in. I'm terribly sorry."

The playful sarcasm is strong with this one.

And then blue eyes flit over to Vorpal and Mari arches a brow. "I still have to go through it to figure out which to auction... And I'll break my neck trying to walk in most of these shoes... This stuff is meant for models! Not girls lile me."
Vorpal "Allow me," the cheshire grins, and heads back to the other room, the one with the gowns. "I've been thinking about this, and I've never really put some of my powers to the test... I think this is an excellent opportunity."

He stretches his arms far and wide to encompass the nearest dresses, and touches them. It helps that they are together, so it should be easier. The burst of chaos magic erupts from him and flows into the dresses-

"Atte-SHUN! Those of you who were owned by Mrs. Agreste, file to my right! The rest, to my left! On the double!"
Adrien Agreste "it's horrible," laments the cat kwami as he goes boneles one Mari's shoulder. His eyes close as he purrs like a motorboat. He watches as the dresses pull themselves from the racks. Some very easily move to the right. A few to the right. The others start to fumble about in the middle while a smaller group of them sewm to argue with themselves about which group they belong to. The teal one, the one Adrien reacted to the strongest finally marchest itself to thw center, smacks a few of the more stubborn dresses with its beades 'wings' and points and points and thw dresses finally sort themswlves out.

All of Mrs. Agreste's dresses are elegant and magical looking. And they out numver the non Mom dresses. The teal dress having translated the demand as 'dresses Mrs. Agreste wore or was attached to'. The resr having been desifned too recentlt to have been worn.
Marinette DuPain Following him into the other room, Mari blinks. "As long as they don't disa...."

Her eyes go wide and she giggles, fairly bouncing in place as she claps her hands. "Oooh! I love Wonderland magic!"

Watching the dresses argue sends her into another fit of giggles as she reaches up to pet and scritch the kwami on her shoulder.

"I didn't realize so many of them had been his mother's... It must be so hard for him..."
Vorpal The Cheshire grins at his handywork. "Well, well, welll. I guess I am your furry godmother after all." God, that pun. Hanging out with Garfield was clearly a bad influence on him. He walks up to that beaded dress and touches the fabric again. "this one is one of the ones we're keeping as a memento. It's clear there's a lot of Mrs. Agreste in it. And yes... I know, it must be very hard for him."

He is silent for a few seconds before he walks back to Marinette and reaches out to pet Plagg. "That's why we're to make this as easy for Adrien as possible." He gives her a smile. "You know, I can tidy up messy rooms, too, and all I charge is some of that sinfully delicious baking you do."
Marinette DuPain "Oh god, please no. I'll blae for you if you promise NOT to be one of the ones that cleans up after him. I'm -certain- he's jever washed a single dish... IHe has no ides where the washer is in here... He thought his four person shower was standard sized... I love him but he's been so sheltered..."

Makung her way over to the beaded gown, she sighs and reaches out to run her hand along it. "It's gorgeous. It sefinitely needs kept. I'll order a few proper bags to keep some sealed away from stuff that can damage them."
Vorpal "He is adorkable." The cheshire grins, "Maybe we should enroll him in a home ec course? That could help him brush up on all of the things he hasn't learned to do. SO..." the cat grins, Now that I have saved you a ton of time, you've got some free time to yourself, hmmm?"
Marinette DuPain Mari looks at the dresses once more and then back to Vorpal. "Yeah, I guess so..." Which isn't something she's had recently and isn't quite sure what to do with.

"Uhm... Are you hungry?" Because she can cook! "And that might not be a bad idea really...."
Adrien Agreste "im hungry." Plagg states with a sage nod, eyes openong from the boneless ourr on Mari's shoulder.
Vorpal "Ah-ah-ah, cooking, Mari? You can leave that off for later. Hell, it's a weekend, why don't you and your boytoy go out to eat?" He grins, teasing Marinette. "Before then, though, you could draw, or practice your sketches. Doesn't doodling help you free your mind and relax? You need some 'me' time. If I were old enough, I'd suggest doodling and mimosas, but getting the cheshire cat drunk is probably not a good idea..."
Adrien Agreste "its the best idea. Marinette, this idea must happen. Adrien has wine under the counter in the kitchen..." offers Plagg with a wicked grin.
Marinette DuPain Told not to cook, Mari blinks. "Uhh... I just draw when... when the mood strikes? Or for homework?" Mari has never actually had much 'me' time. She was always either helpibg friends, doing homework, babysitting or watching the bakery...

"Out to eat?" There's an echo, clear.

And then she's blinking at Plagg. "Yes he does." ... "What's a mimosa? Other than a flower..."
Vorpal Vorpal gets a look.

"Mari? What's the legal drinking age in France?"

For reasons.
Marinette DuPain Marinette blinks a moment. "Sixteen?" She has to think on it a moment. "Yeah, sixteen."

You know that odd feeling you get when you're being sneakily ganged up on?

Yeah. That.

"Why?"
Vorpal "Because I think it's time for a visit home," The cat grins and grabs Mari by the elbow, like a Bee Eff Eff would, and grins. "If we're going to have wine, we can do it without getting into any trouble. And you can drop in on familiar sights and places and see how they're doing. I can disguise you for that so they don't wonder... what do you say?" The cat raises an eyebrow and gives her one of those grins. "I've never been to Gay Pari before!"
Adrien Agreste "Im not going. Tikki should. for the record, we have wine here," Plagg says, pawing ar Marinette's cheek for more attention.
Marinette DuPain Marinette hesitates a moment, tilting her head in to lean against Plagg amd snuggle-nuzzle him. "Well... I..." She casts a glance at Plagg. "I should let Adrien know first, at least?"

And then she's nodding. "We do have wine here, yes but if you want to see Paris, we could make a short trip to get a bottle then bring it back... Rabbit Holing after drinking doesn't sound wise..."
Vorpal "Aw, but that's half the fun. Where is your sense of adventure?" The cat asks, and then relents. "Fine, fine, we'll get a bottle. Then we'll come home and share it. Sounds good? I'll go ahead and look up pictures of Montmartre and focus on a Rabbit Hole there... sounds good?"
Adrien Agreste "Dont trust thw Green Fairy," says Plagg, giving Mari one last head bonk rub before leaping away, presumably to trade places with tikki...
Marinette DuPain "Green fair.. Oh!" Mari giggles brightly and gives the kitty-kwami a scritch before bodding her head. "Alright. I'll go let Adrien know I'll be out for just a bit. I'll be right back." And then she heads oiy of the room.
Marinette DuPain Marinette giggles madly and brings the glass up to her lips again.

She sits cross legged on the couch, a half eaten croissant in one hand and a newly topped off glass of wine in the other. Magically, it never gets empty. And this seems to don on her as she peers down into her glass and, noticing it's fully again, gets wide eyed.

"Oh my god! I love Wonderland magic!" Because that absolutely must be how the glass keeps refilling itself, right? Right.
Marinette DuPain "You did!?" Again, Marinette's eyes widen. "Really? Ooh. I should keep that look. Can I keep that look?"

And then she beams over at Adrien and giggles brightly. "Chocolate! Need there be any other reason??" A drink of the wine is taken, swallowed and then she bites into the croissant. "Mama and papa would be quite happy to hear you say that." And there goes another drink. "This is really good.."

She looks over and up at Adrien again. "The glasses refill themselves," is whispered.
Marinette DuPain Marinette nods her head quickly which makes her a little dizzy which is turn makes her giggle. "Uh-huh!"

And she pfffffffffts at Vorpal. "You're our friend! There's nothing to thank for. You're always welcome!" Mari has absolutely no idea how much she's been drinking if truth be told. The glass is never empty so 'one glass' hasn't really happened yet.

"He is, isn't he?? It's so sexy!" Ooh. Chocolate. Nom!
Marinette DuPain "Nope! Not empty anymore! And once we get rid of the hard edge sterile feeling furniture and get some in her that's warm and comfy..." She sighs happily before she giggles. "Yes! I have heard the perfect phrase to tell the fitters... Fuck off." She gives a sharp not at this before bringing her glass up to her lips again.

Peering down at Vorpal, her eyes go wide. "I love kissing him... Wait. You did not. I kissed him as Ladybug in Paris but he doesn't remember. Stupid akuma."
Marinette DuPain "Yes! Polka dots! And black fleece that's all soft and warm and wonderful to snuggle with and bits of green!" And it all has Mari giggling ever so brightly before she takes another drink.

And then Adrien's parsing, or not really, what was said and the giggles turn into laughter even as she reaches out to pat and rub his back. "It's okay, Chaton. I don't mind that you don't remember. Even if it was a very nice kiss." Nodnod.

Very bright blue eyes go to Vorpal and she giggles. "Ooh! That was very kind of you then, yes! Thank you!" Wait... What? Nevermind! Chocolate and wine!
Marinette DuPain "Because you'd have kicked my ass if I didn't!" Like it's just a given. Even drunk, she knows better than to tell him he had actually tried to use Cataclysm on her.

"Oh! Oh! Practice with Gar! Wait... -Can- you practice with Gar? Oh no! He's not straight is he!? That'd be terrible! Gimme your phone. I'll call and ask." Because Tommy certainly can't ask. That'd just be awkward.

And then she's blinking back at Adrien. "Of course you do! But you never actually do. I know. I've asked. But nope. No answer."
Marinette DuPain "Oooh... Wait! I have it! Don't let him get me, kitty!" And then the phone is pulled out and she starts scrolling through. "Found him!" Haha! Call or text... Hmm... Call! Button pressed.

"So? Adrien's famous. I'm like... Your human equivalent here and I object!"

Blink. "Ooh! It's ringing!"
