Cast of Characters: Oracle, Batman

Oracle has posed:
Monday at mid-day is typically uneventful for most of Gotham City. Everyone is back to work and wishing that they were still on Weekend Time. For Barbara, a workaholic as only a member of the Bat Family could be, Monday is just another day of the week and the work is nonstop.

Sitting in her computer hive, a myriad of high end displays angled toward the office chair from heaven. If there is an adjustment, the chair has it. If there is a sort of optimum spinal support, this chair probably has three different types.

Studying away at a s smaller, crudely designed but high resolution display, Barbara pauses and begins adjusting the display. It is actually a holographic screen prototype of her own design. A proof of concept. It does not have to look pretty, just perform perfectly. Function first, Form thereafter.

Batman has posed:
There is a knock at the door as Bruce Wayne waits patiently dressed in a sharp blue suit with a black tie. His hair is immaculate as always, shoes shined and professional. During the day he is the socialite and playboy billionaire and thus he isn't found swooping rooftops in his uniform.

As he adjusts his tie, he gives a casual glance down at his smart watch to check a few notifications that are coming through in regard to his business. He slips his phone out as he waits and taps along the glass a few times to send off a few messages to some of his management team.

"Barbara, it's Bruce." His voice rumbles out in his usual rasp.

Oracle has posed:
Barbara Gordon murmurs absently, "Door's open. Door's always open.." She has her glasses pushed up to her forehead as she leans in to eyeball a small connector on the prototype display.

She glances up finally, "Nice to see you, Bruce. What's the occasion?" She asks lightly as she stands. Adjusting her glasses she moves to the kitchen, "Something to drink? Sparkling water? Bat-Juice?" she jokes.

Batman has posed:
Opening the door, Bruce heads inside and takes a glance around to see if anything has changed since the last time he visited. "No, thank you." He says in regards to the offer of something to drink. Once he makes his way over to her side to give a casual glance down at what she was working on for a moment.

"I wanted to talk to you about The Justice League." He says as he shifts his jaw to the side. "I believe the team could use someone like you to help out with intelligence and recon. While we work in the field, we have access to some of the greatest technology known to man, but very few are qualified to navigate it."

Oracle has posed:
Nothing changes. Barbara is a creature of habit. Everything has a place and should be in that place. It could be OCD. It could just be that she is excentric in her own ways. She grabs herself a sparkling water with a nod and returns to her work space. "The Justice League? Didn't see that coming" she observes as she glances up to Bruce. "The League has Blue Beetle does it? He's as close a contemporary to you as.. anyone? You, Ted and Tony Stark? Phew. No tech would be safe!"
RShe sips her drink then shrugs, "I mean, I'll think on it? I don't know that my methods would sit well with many of the members? Bit too mercenary and darker shades of gray than they may approve, don't you think?"

She stands up and walks over to a small work bench where she grabs a couple tools then returns to work on the display. The image flickers then fades briefly then comes back even brighter and in more detail.

Batman has posed:
"I don't care about what they think, I care about results. I am sure we can find a way to draw between the lines that makes everyone happy. Ted is also currently busy with his own affairs. He runs a company, he doesn't have time to sit in a command center and deliver information for us to combat terroristic threats overseas." Bruce says as he wanders around the apartment to study it, shifting his jaw in thought.

"But, think about it. I would like to introduce you to Superman in a more official capacity. Perhaps bring Diana as well. I know that you don't get nervous around big personalities." He gives a few tugs on his coat sleeves, looking thoughtful for a moment.

"What are you doing tonight? I'm going to hit a warehouse tonight that I think is being used by that ninja clan we have discovered the other day. I could use some support."

Oracle has posed:
Barbara Gordon knew he didn't care about most of the methods, only the results. It still had to be asked. She sits back with satisfaction at the holodisplay. She turned to her keyboard and inserted a series of commands and strings of code. "They don't want to sit in a computer hive all day so you thought of me instead" she observes with irony. "Thanks?" A glance to him to show she's teasing. Then she swipes at the holo display. The image moves with the hand gestures. It scrolls and zooms in and out. "Nice. Phase one, completed."
RTurning to Bruce she offers a nod, "I'm interested. But I've got more obligations than to play the Watchtower's dispatch service." Something he already knows himself.

"I can help tonight, sure. I'll even bring my Anti Ninja Bat Spray" she jokes with sparkling impish eyes.

Batman has posed:
"I know you do." Bruce says as he watches her work for a few moments, folding his arms over his chest. "Except you would be working up there." He gives a jerk of his head upwards. "In space. It's a step up from your apartment, trust me on that."

As he starts for the door, he is looking to show himself out. "I'll meet you tonight at our regular spot. If you see Tim before I do, tell him to come along and to bring Beacon with him. Otherwise, I will assume it's just the two of us. I want these ninjas out of my city, yesterday. Any information we can gather on them the better."

Reaching out to open the door, he steps through it. "Start locking this as well, Barbara." He calls over his shoulder to her. "Take care."
