Cast of Characters: Batman, Harry Dresden

Batman has posed:
Harry Dresden wasn't a hard man to track down, no his name was in the phone book.. Even the yellow pages. No that wasn't the difficult part, that was planning how he was going to do this for he knew it would not be an easy fight. He had made plans for Zatanna before he had to, just incase the worst ever happened, but this one was different. Batman knew magic was real, there were far stranger things then magic in the world now, and he had one of his own though not currently in his possession.

He had watched him work following him in the shadows not wanting to be seen, but far away to hopefully not get detected. He watched the danger appear, and him take care of it, though sometimes through a drone, far above in the clouds, well second one as the first had gotten too close during one of his bouts, vearing off into the distance though Batman had noted this as... interesting.

So the night much like any other, this is the night Batman had the plan. He watched him leaving his house in the car, going well Batman expected it was the store.. This was that time of night for that forgotten item. Though when he gets too far the car would break down. Someone had gotten to it at some point and stuffed the exaust, as it builds up and what in there does not get out, and has to go somewhere. This is when Batman approaches, though still hidden, only approaching in the dark waiting for his chance to strike.. He hoped this worked or this would be the most embarassing ambush ever.

Harry Dresden has posed:
When the Blue Beetle starts to sputter and fill with the blackish exhaust smoke, Harry rolls down the window and leans his head out so he can see the road as he makes maneuvers to pull the car to the side of the road. "Not again. I just had you fixed. Mercy is going to make so much money off of me...but I can't pay her if you don't get me to the places I need to be!" he mutters to the car.

Once the car is pulled over, the engine is shut off and Harry emerges from the car. Dressed in his long duster, a black t-shirt that reads 'Prefectionist' and a pair of dark blue jeans, the wizard reaches into the back seat and draws out his staff before shutting the door before taking a look around to find out where he is.

Batman has posed:
Batman frowns, he remembered the staff after all. It was not often he left it, but he had hoped that he would leave it in the car. As he moves to get out, Batarangs fly out of the shadows, though they are not aimed for him... All around him they land, as standing as if emerging from the shadows themselves comes Batman. You can see him, and he wants you to seem him, as he holds another.. "You will tell me about that coin." is all he says as he looks at you. He is close at maybe ten feet away glaring at you with that same brooding though angry look.

After he speaks he backs up slightly again, and in normal vision it becomes a bit harder to see him, he seems to melt into the shadows using his cloak to mess with how wide he was, or if he was in the middle of the shape or the the right or left of it. His blue eyes still are easly visable if someone were to look into them they are there. He doesn't ask again, or say anything else waiting for Dresden to make that choice... quickly.

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Hell's bells!" the wizard exclaims as the batarangs sink and clatter to the ground around him. By instinct, Harry shakes out the shield bracelet from his left hand and shoves an effort of will into it, causing a semi-transparent half-dome of energy to form between him and the Bat.

"I told you already, it's something for the church to handle. Not some guy dressed up in his long johns!" Harry curls his lips into a snarl. "I don't care what your ego says, Batman, messing around with one of the blackened denarius coins is bad. It is in the church, vaulted just where it should be. It's not a toy. I would be more worried about the up to 29 others that could be out there, not the one already locked away. Even Michael wouldn't tell me how many the church have in their possession at this time."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden is nothing if not stubborn. As soon as the gas starts to flow out of the batarangs, the wizard shoves his staff in front of him and shouts "Ventas Servitas!". A rush of wind comes from behind the wizard, causing his duster to bellow and pushing the gas away from him and towards here the Bat stands.

"I've already told you, you numbskull! They are the 30 coins of Judas Iscariot. The betrayer. Each one is the vessel for a fallen angel! You touch it, the angel touches you, you turn into a monster. There isn't any more to say!"

Batman has posed:
Batman doesn't speak or interupt until Harry finishes, he watches him, and almost starts it on the bracelet. When you are done he says.. "That wasn't my question." though that is all. He didn't care about who Dresden believed was supposed to have it. He mearly pushes a button, as gas starts to come out of the Baterangs from earlier, thankfully it was shielded for EMPs, and other such intererince so that it would go off after all. He stood in the shadow, "Tell me.. about the coins." this man had already stollen it back one, and he had taken it back again. He wanted to know the truth about it, as he had carbon dated it, and there was something about it old, though bad.. If Dresden had fooled everyone collecting evil artifacts of power then it had to be found out.

Truthfully Batman didn't like doing this, but he was a magic user and they had to be shut down quickly, if he was a threat Batman would stop him before he fooled people long enough to complete his plan. The gas itself was a slightly modified Joker serum, though not as fatal the laughing had been shown to interupt chanting, or focusing on one thing too long. The effects would not stay, even in someone like Dresden the effects would be temporay at best.

Finally the last thing is Batmans figure would wobble infront of you. Not because anything happening to you, but you can immeditly tell the substance is flamable. How good or bad that might be for whoever is inside of the cloud though... It wouldn't be good. (NOTE:Re-Post, put it above last Harry Dresden pose)

Batman has posed:
As the winds blow out, Batman himself is pulled aside on a black cable he just watches Harry directly, he had hoped enough time had passed before he pushes another button. The expression on his face does not change as he is quickly moving around, and slightly over your wind as it is more a mechanical pull then a wind one. From his hands come two more Batarangs built to cut through wind, they again though are ment to push you back aiming for feet, or knees. Each hit would be the classic example of how to take down, but not kill.

He knew that trenchcoat could handle a beating, he doubted his Batarangs could cut through so he aimed at the lower parts, under it for now. "Where are they!" he says as he is coming in now. That cable pulling him about quickly, though able to change mid-direction with a cable black as the night to hide where he was going to go next. He had prepared, and that was only the first of this tricks, as the gas was still going.. thankfully the wind is keeping it away, though... that isn't the way he is coming in.

Harry Dresden has posed:
The wind dies down just as quickly as it rose, as it was only a gust to push away the gas from Harry, but the wizard continues to stand his ground, doing his best to try and keep track of the Batman, and to keep his shield up between them.

"Hell if I know?!" Harry says, the shield managing to block one of the batarangs, but one of them gets past the edge and impacts into his ankle. "DAMNIT!"

Harry stumbles back towards the car, his ankle giving out the moment the modified boomerang slams into it, the pain and stumble causing a momentary lack of concentration. His shield falls, stuttering for a moment before collapsing.

Batman has posed:
Not coming in straight as experience had tought him that they all have that blast, that thing they are holding back. Two-face, some super rocket that has two painted sides, the joker, and his acid spray, they all have one he does not underestimate Harry in thinking he did not have one as well. He approaches, and if he gets close enough he will grab Dresdin by the wrist holding the cain, squeezing so yes it might hurt a little, but it will make the hand leg go of what is inside of it. The other hand on the collar of his shirt. He gets close and says again in a deep voice "Where are they!". He is trying to get close enough you can smell his breath, though it would seems... rather fresh, though the anger is there. Though he doesn't seem, desperate... he doesn't seem compelled to ask, more like he doesn't believe you though that is what Dresdin would pick up.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry snarls as the Batman grabs his wrist, his staff dropping from his hand as the pressure points in his wrist are pressed and the pain involuntarily causes his hand to open.

"Let. Go. Of. ME!" cries the wizard as he brings his left hand around to punch at the Dark Knight repeatedly, for all the good that it will do him. Harry isn't a skilled brawler, so the punch is wild, aimed at the Batman's head trying to distract. "I told you.." Harry says, trying to maneuver his right hand so the knuckles of it aim toward the Caped Crusader's direction as best he can. "I. Don't. KNOW!" If he gets his knuckles in what he thinks are aligned with Batman, he lets the charge in the force rings go, sending a bolt of pure, invisible, force toward the Dark Knight.

Batman has posed:
Batman lifts him a bit as he answers, lifting the man into the air with one arm he peers at him. The first hit doesn't seem to effect him as you can feel the suit, and he pushes you back against the car as the second puch though as Harry pulls out of his grip, is more towards his ribs. He wraps around it more then deflecting it, as enough does get through as he wasn't expecting that. You get him, you feel that you get him as the the armor bends back... Thankfully he was ready for gunfire, and it was spread out through a punch.. Still, it is bad luck for Batman. He goes flying sideways, you would notice him turn the throw into a roll, though he is forced to roll a couple times. To Batman this was a setback.. He knew he got a rib, maybe two.. The bad thing was he was now at a distance again..

He holds up a Baterang, ready to go before he says.. "People who make deals with the people I have heard you do are usually not to be trusted. Though... Not all." he stands straigh, sure it hurts, but anyone watching him would never know. "I believe you don't know where they are at.." and frowns. "I don't believe your church is the best place to hide them." he eyes him.. "No-one can touch them in space?" it is just the first thing that came to mind, but what if next time he launces a satalite.. just add them on.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden pants as he turns to face the Batman, the physical exertion of the conflict taking its toll on the wizard. He doesn't usually get into fisticuffs, so the physicality of the confrontation is wearing him down. "You.." he says between panting breaths, even as brings his left hand up again and wills the shield up again in front of him, this time a full half dome, "Are making assumptions. For one...it's not -my- church. It is THE church, so take it up with the pope. I just know they are bad news, and that they aren't meant to be messed with, and it is the Knights of the Cross who deal with the Denarians."

"What deals?! What have you heard?" the wizard asks, curiosity in his voice. He shrugs, "Space. I don't know, maybe? But then again, do I want some alien getting a hold of one of those coins? Could you even fathom what would happen if someone like Superman was corrupted by a freaking fallen angel? Probably make him even more invincible than he already is."

Batman has posed:
Batman looks at him for a long moment. "And then you have the molemen below us.." is all he says as such a matter of fact you are not exactly sure if he is just messing with you. There were enough issues in burying it, he nods. "Very well... Come take it.. If you can. I have done many experements, and have not been able to destroy it yet.. Though there are items to kill gods in this world." His attude towards you is still as cold, you might not be sure if he is going to attack again, or not. That is until he puts the batarangs away.

As he does so, he drops two cicles items that blow smoke again. This time, it is more of a fog, a smoke cloud surounds him much faster movement then the gas before. He only says... "Use a magnet, to unplug it.." then you might notice a black cable taking him away. It was a draw this time, though Batman could continue, he was not tired, just a small injury to him, he could fight on, but he had got his answer. After that Batman is gone back into those shadows the grappling hook draging him away at great speeds.

Harry Dresden has posed:
"Wait...what?!" Harry says as the Batman vanishes. "You have it!?"

Harry curses a long sting of words that wouldn't be subtable for young ears. "You idiot!" Harry screams into the night. "Get rid of that thing, or I WILL come and get it! I CAN FIND YOU!" He limps over to pick up his staff, leaning on it as he hobbles back over towards his car. He get to the door and then realizes he forgot it has been disabled. "SON OF A BITCH!". He kicks the car door, tweaking his ankle more and causing another string of curses to fall from his lips.
