The Coffee Yeen
Date of Scene: 15 December 2021
Location: The Coffee Bean - Manhattan
Synopsis: Folks meet unexpectedly at the coffee shop and have a chat.
Cast of Characters: Kit Killovarras, Wonder Woman, Superman, Poseidon, Pixie

Kit Killovarras has posed:
It's a typical day, early morning and the coffee shop is fairly busy, though for some reason that doesn't stop the yeen from walking in today. He's wearing his typical hoodie and jeans, hood up as per usual for the sake of the people who are enjoying their caffeine. His presence at the counter seems to startle the barista a bit, though after the mild jump and a bit of realization, he just sighs and takes the yeens order. Apparently, people here are starting to get used to the near-daily appearance of the yeen.

Wonder Woman has posed:
For some, morning starts earlier than for others. It's hard to say exactly when Diana's morning happens to start, by appearances. She happens to already be here in the coffee shop, settled at a corner table and with a tall insulated paper cup sitting on the table in front of her. It has a Christmas pattern on it, of ugly knit sweaters on a white background. Her legs are crossed at the knee, a comfortable enough position, and while one of her hands rests lightly upon her uppermost thigh, the fingers of her other hand are relaxed around the paper cup.

She wears a sweater in a pretty and light shade of blue with a pattern of white snowflakes knit into it, a pair of black jeans and black boots. Her black hair is tamed into a braid that is draped forward over one of her shoulders. As is her habit, she watches those who come and go from the shop, though she does it with a sort of casual air.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Once he's got his typical order - a double-shot white mocha and an orange cranberry muffin - Kit goes to leave, but then a scent catches his nose and he just sort of pauses, giving a little sniff before he glances to Diana and offers a smile. "Hello," he says, twiddling a few fingers around his cup of coffee in a weird sort of wave.

Wonder Woman has posed:
There's a warm smile that comes to her features as her gaze settles on the yeen, following him as he makes his way across the coffee shop. She lifts her cup of coffee to take a sip from it, and she gives a small nod at his greeting. "Good morning," Diana says, a smile easily coming to her features once again. Her fingers move away from the cup in order to gesture towards the seat opposite the one that she's sitting in. "Would you care to have a seat? There are not many tables available at this hour," she offers, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Thank you," Kit says with a little nod, his smile growing all the brighter as he walks over and takes a seat, "And yeah, normally there aren't many seats available. I normally end up eating outside." There's a little chuckle ad he sets his muffin down, taking a quick sip of his drink before setting it down too.

"How have things been at the embassy?" he asks, tilting his head for a moment. Curious yeen is curious, as always it seems.

Wonder Woman has posed:
"You are welcome," Diana says softly, inclining her head towards him. She watches him claim a seat at her table, and then she gives a nod. "It is quite busy at this time of day, and usually for a couple of hours earlier and later than this as well. It tends to have a slower period then before the few hours across lunch time," she muses, a thoughtful tone to her voice. That she's familiar with the busy times here would given an indication that she comes here fairly regularly herself.

She chuckles softly, then lifts her free hand from where it was resting in her lap, lightly brushing back a stray lock of her hair. "The embassy has been relatively quiet, although that seems ever a thing that never entirely seems to last," she comments, a touch of amusement to her voice. "It will likely be busier once the holidays are nearer. How have things been for you?" she asks, curiosity touching her voice.

Superman has posed:
The door to the coffee bean opens and in walks Clark Kent! He was wearing an odd suit, namely brown slacks and blazer, with a dark blue flannel dress shirt and a dark blue tie. He adjusts his thick-rimmed glasses on his nose and shifts the fedorah on his head. He gives a friendly smile as he suddenly hears the voice of Diana Prince. He tries very hard not to eaves drop on certain conversations, but Diana's voice was always like a melody to him.

Making it very easy to notice.

But he notices her sitting down with a new aquaintance it would seem though to Clark's senses he's....weird. It's hard to say what exactly he's feeling. But the biology alone feels a little different. Either way, he approaches the pair of them.

"Hi there. Mind if I join you guys?"

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Pretty good, though it seems to get pretty busy at night around this time of year." the yeen muses with a little smile. Though what exactly he means isn't something he goes into any real detail on. Instead, he just sort of shrugs and adds, "But then again it seems like that's the case for everything around the holidays."

Then Clark comes over and Kit just sort of eyes him for a minute before offering a warm smile. "I don't mind," he says, then glances to Diana and tilts his head, "You?" Then he gives Clark another look, his nose twitching for a moment before he gives a little, "Huh..."

Wonder Woman has posed:
There is a melodic nature to her voice, to be sure. It comes from the Greek in her, and the way the ancient form of that particular language happens to be spoken, for a part of it has carried forward and into the way that she speaks English. It is, after all, the language that she grew up with and English was learned at a later time. The Amazon princess isn't facing the door, and so she doesn't immediately notice the most recent entrant to the coffee shop, her attention remaining on the yeen who sits across from her.

Diana raises an eyebrow slightly at Kit's words, a flicker of curiosity chasing through her blue eyes. "Do you mean that there are generally more people in the streets at night or are you meaning a more nefarious element being more present?" she asks. She helps where she can, but despite her gifts, she is still just one person and there is only so much that she can do. When Clark approaches the table and speaks, her blue gaze turns to him as a sparkle reflects in them and there's a warm smile that comes to her features. She seems pleased by his unexpected appearance. "Ah, Clark! It has been a while since we have last shared company," she says, a smile easily returing to her features. There's a glance give to Kit when he mentions not minding, and then she gives a nod to Clark. "Of course, please -- join us," she adds in a warm tone.

"Kit Killovarras, I would introduce you to a dear friend of mine -- this is Clark Kent," she says with a smile, making introductions between the pair.

Superman has posed:
Diana greets him with that warm smile, and Clark gives her all of that warmth back and then some. His smile is soothing and his eyes remain fixed on hers. "Too long, if you ask me Diana. I'm sorry for that." He starts to move onto her side of the booth and he finds his seat, though he chuckles a little bit. His tone is warm and inviting, just as hers is to him. "It's good to see you again, Diana." He speaks in a much softer tone.

Though he turns his head to Kit Killovarras and he gives the fellow a kind smile. "Hi there, nice to meet you." He extends his hand to the fellow for a handshake, though he doesn't know if he'll actually get one, its a nice thing to do.

Politeness matters!

"I hope I wasn't interrupting a good conversation - or a private one for that matter."

Kit Killovarras has posed:
Politeness does matter! And the extended hand winds up being grabbed rather gently by a paw.. Not just fuzzy fingers, but a paw, claws and pads included. "Kit, is fine." he says with a little smile. "A pleasure to finally learn your name, Clark."

After the handshake, he'd turn his attention back to Diana and give a playful little grin, letting just the tips of his fangs show as he muses, "Both, actually.." with a little chuckle. "Which sadly, means there's more for me to do when I go out. People seem to think that just because it's snowing and pretty, that it makes places like Central Park safe to walk around in at night."

Clarks question about interrupting the conversation gets a little tilt of the aardwolfs hooded head for a moment before he gives it a shake. "Not really a private conversation, no." he says before grabbing a bit of his muffin to nom on.

Wonder Woman has posed:
There's a slight upwards quirk of one of her eyebrows, and then Diana gives a small shake of her head, a movement which causes her braid to stir against her sweater. "Ah, no. It is not a thing that warrants an apology to be given. Although I would agree, that it has been too long sice the last time," she says softly, her gaze lifted to meet his own. "Our assorted duties have been somewhat at odds with each other and have seemed to play well a part in keeping us from each other's company," she muses, a thoughtful note to her voice. Such is the way of life, sometimes. "It is good to see you again, too," she adds with a warm smile, moving a touch to nudge her shoulder nearest him against his own.

"'Twas not a private conversation. An interesting one, but not a private one," Diana says, giving a soft chuckle. Her gaze falls briefly to their handshake -- pawshake? -- exchanged greeting, and a smile comes easily to her features. "Ah, you have met him before?" she asks, a touch of curiosity to her voice. He did say to finally learn his name, after all, which makes her curious. She tilts her head a touch to one side, and then she gives a small nod. "The more there are crowds, with their hands full of purchases and packages, the more there are nefarious elements who would prey upon them and seek to take advantage of them, alas," she adds, giving her head a brief shake.

"Snowing and pretty, sadly, does not come out to meaning safe. It is a very unfortunate thing. It makes more work for me as well, though even just keeping one person safe makes it worth any effort that it takes," Diana says softly, a sincere note to her voice. At whatever cost to herself, though she doesn't tend to get hurt easily.

Superman has posed:
Diana nudges Clark's shoulder with her own and he laughs a little bit. "Likewise, Diana. I missed you you know that? But between the Planet and the Embassy, it looks like we've had a tough time, but if you like, I can have you over for dinner? I don't know if the Themyscirans celebrate Christmas." Clark chuckles a little bit, and he returns the nudge. Though his seems a little more personal somehow.

"Oh good, I was worried that it was something I rudely interrupted." He laughs. Though he moves his hand and shakes Kit's...paw. His paw. Though Clark seems to feign some measure of confusion, Diana knows him well enough that he's completely unfazed by this. He's seen so much weirder things, he punched Godzilla one time! That's pretty much as wild as it gets.

"I think he might've seen me somewhere, but I don't think we were ever introduced."

"Honestly, I like snow. It snowed pretty consistently back home in Smallville. Reminds me at home, you know?" Diana says her words about keeping one person safe and Clark smiles warmly at her, glowing in approval.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Yeah," Kit says, his voice lowering quite a bit so it doesn't carry beyond the table as he muses, "Stopping a tidal wave.." before taking another quick sip of his coffee.

Diana gets a little glance and a nod, "It's why I hunt, honestly." he says with a shrug, "Being able to help people has always been something I've wanted.. If that means wandering around at night, decking a mugger or two, I'm good with it." There's a pause and a little chuckle before he adds, "Besides, it lets me turn what most would consider a flaw, into a useful asset. Half the time I don't even have to do anything but bare my teeth and watch them run."

Then he gives a glance out the window and admits, "This is actually the first year I've ever seen snow.. It does make everything a bit prettier, but it makes it harder to sneak up on people."

Wonder Woman has posed:
"I know," she says softly, a gentle note to her voice as she looks to Clark, studying him for a lingering moment. "I have missed you as well," Diana adds sincerely, giving a small nod to him. One of her eyebrows quirks up at his question, and there's a smile that curls at the corners of her lips as she gives a nod to him. "I would like that, to come over for dinner. I look forward to it," replies the Amazon. "Should I bring a tray of baklava?"

She chuckles softly, at the notion of Christmas on Themyscira, her blue eyes showing a sparkle to them. "Ah, well... we do not have Christmas, as such, on Themyscira. We do have a celebratory solstice ritual where an Amazon is chosen to distribute gifts in the masked disguise of the Goddess Diana. Of course, particularly bold Amazons may attempt to unmask the gift giver, thus initiating a challenge to combat," she explains. Then she picks up her cup of coffee and takes a sip of steamy beverage within. Themyscira is a different sort of place. "You have not interrupted, I promise," she adds, giving a small nod to Clark.

"I like the snow, as well. It is very pretty. Though it does not really remind me of my home. Will you be able to have the time to go back home for Christmas this year?" she asks, a note of curiosity to her voice. Her gaze turns to Kit, and she tilts her head slightly to one side, considering his words. "It can be challenging. It helps, sometimes, to focus on each one separately rather than all of them as a whole. One at a time, and perhaps the rest will learn that their actions have consequences," she says in a soft tone, a small smile touching at the corners of her lips. "Perhaps I should hunt with you, one night," she muses, a hint of curiosity and amusement to her voice. It would be interesting!

"A person's appearance can often play a part in how people respond in such situations. And there are times when the snow works for you and other times when it works against you, it all depends on the type of snow it is," Diana says softly, a smile tugging her lips. Given who she is, though, she doesn't let snow stop her -- she either goes wading into trouble anyways, or she flies.

Superman has posed:
Clark's face softens every time he looks at Diana. He doesn't feel himself doing it, but he does know what he feels when he looks at her. She accepts his invitation for Christmas and Clark couldn't help but smile ever so widely at her. "It's a date." He tells her, though she can refuse such an add-on, Clark has an inch of hope in his voice. "Considering you make the best Baklava I've ever tasted, I would say yes. Should I make pie?" He questions her in a similar manner. Then she speaks of a Themysciran Christmas.

"I hope it's not to the death." He comments on the sudden combat. "I'm not sure I'll have time to stay the whole time, I have a piece to write for the Bugle and...well, just a lot going on. I wish I could. They miss you, you know. Though for theSolstice, if you decide to attend, could you please tell Hippolyta I said hi." Clark smiles warmly.

His eyes then turn to Kit. "I don't see any flaws on or in you. Your appearance means nothing, your heart means everything."Clark adds. "Believe me, I know people who could still sneak up on you in the snow. I still don't know how they do it." Of course, he's talking about Batman.

Kit Killovarras has posed:
"Well, thanks," Kit says with a glance to Clark, chuckling quietly as he adds, "But well. Giant hyena, some people see me and tend to panic." He gives a little shrug, then smiles all the same. "When you're dealing with muggers, it's a blessing.. Trying to meet new people? It can be a curse."

Diana's comment about Themysciran holidays get's a little quirk of a brow, "Sounds like it'd be a hell of a holiday." he says with a little grin, then nods a bit to the thought of them going hunting together, "I mean, I don't really have an issue with company on a hunt. Might even make it easier to take down bigger targets."

After a moment though, he stands up with a little bit of a stretch and sighs, "Sadly though, I need to head out. I need to go see a guy about an enchanted necklace." he says with a smile as he picks up his drink and what remains of a half nibbled muffin, bowing his head slightly to both Diana and Clark. "It was a pleasure seeing you both."

Then he heads out, back into the snowy city and quickly disappears among the river of people that this city usually becomes at this hour.

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon doesn't come to the Coffee Bean often enough to be considered a regular. However, he does come to the place often enough that the regular staff recognize him on sight and greet him warmly. He returns the greetings with a wave and a warm smile. Once again, he looks a lot like Santa Claus with his silver hair and beard. But, he's not dressed like St Nicholas. Instead, he wears a green and blue plaid flannel shirt with a plain black jacket overtop of it, a pair of jeans, a pair of worn work boots. He looks like any old fisherman or farmer come to town for a day. But his face lacks the wrinkles to go with the hair and beard. Perhaps they're fake?

He tilts his head a bit to the right, and the smile grows. "Did I just hear someone mention baklava?" Poseidon's eyes find the woman who'd mentioned such, and he lifts a hand to wave to her. "Morning, Diana." He nods affably to Kit on the student's way out, and heads toward the counter. He's not there for long before he turns and heads toward Diana and Superman.

In his hands, Poseidon has claimed a hot chocolate, a banana nut muffin, and a brownie. He nods to both at the table they occupy. "How are you both? Mind company?" He asks, but he does not sit. He does, however, set his cocoa down so he can juggle the two treats. The brownie gets tucked into a pocket of the jacket, the muffin a bite taken out of it.

Wonder Woman has posed:
There's a warm smile that curls at the corners of her lips, and Diana gives a small nod to Clark, her blue eyes showing a sparkle to them. "It is," she says quite softly. She tilts her head faintly to one side, and there's a bit of colour that creeps to her cheeks before she gives a small shake of her head. "Ah, I am not so sure that the baklava I make is so, but I am not sure what others you may have tried. And I may have a little bit of help when I make it," she comments, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She is, it would seem, not going to elaborate on that. "Yes, you should make pie," she adds, giving a nod.

Diana's gaze turns to Poseidon as he waves then speaks to her, and a warm smile comes to her features, a sparkle coming to her eyes. "You did, yes. I was thinking of making a double batch to give you a batch," she says, a smile coming easily back to her features. She lifts her cup, to take a sip of the beverage within it. "Good morning, Percy," she offers in greeting, watching him as he heads towards the counter.

"Ah, no, not to the death. The combat is for fun, for amusement. I do not always go back to Themyscira for the solstice, and I was home not all that many months ago. I have not grown to miss it yet again. If I do go back, then I will be sure to tell Hippolyta your greetings," she muses to Clark, a thoughtful note to her voice. One of her eyebrows quirks up at his words, and she ducks her chin just a touch. "Perhaps I ought visit them somewhat more often," she says softly.

She laughs softly when he speaks of others who are sneaky, and she gives a small nod. "Some of them could sneak their way across egg shells without a single sound," she comments, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. She knows of whom he speaks, yet she mentions no names. Her attention turns to Kit, and she tilts her head a touch to one side. "People ought have a more open mind. It is akin to judging a book by its cover rather than the content that lies within it," she says softly, a thoughtful tone to her voice. "It was a pleasure to see you as well, and good luck with your necklace," she adds to Kit.

Her gaze turns to Poseidon as he comes to her table, and she lifts her free hand to gesture towards one of the seats. "Please, join us. You are welcome at my table, always," she says with a smile. "I am doing well. And for yourself, Percy?" she asks, watching him. She takes a moment to look from Poseidon to Clark then back again. "Have you met each other before?" she asks, one of her eyebrows quirking up a touch.

Superman has posed:
"It is." Clark confirms with her once again as he looks Diana in the eyes, a shift of his hand for his pinky to gently touch hers. Testing the waters, as it were. He sees her blush, a beautiful and rare thing to see, and he nods. "Good. Then I'll make my pie and you can make your world famous baklava." He smiles, though with the coming and going of the mighty Poseidon, whom Clark only knows as Percy as per Diana's introduction. "Hi there Percy. I'm Clark." he extends a hand across the table. r
Clark's gaze returns to Diana. "I think it would be good if you saw Themyscira again. Like me and Smallville, it's home for you no matter where you go. It could be nice to go home again? I don't know if you're still on great terms, but I'm sure your mother misses you."

"Maybe I could even go with you?"

Poseidon has posed:
"He's right. Your baklava is among the best I've tasted," says Poseidon. As old as he is, Poseidon should know! He smiles and nods. "I surely wouldn't say no to a batch of your baklava, Diana." He nods to her invitation and takes a seat across from the two. "Thank you, Diana. You are always welcome at mine as well." His accent is faint, but somewhat similar to Diana's. Greek. He considers her for a moment. "If you would like to go to Themyscira for the solstice, I would be happy to take you."

Her question brings a shake of Poseidon's head. "I don't believe so," he says. However, he extends his hand to clasp Clark's. "Percy," he replies. "It's a pleasure, Clark." His handshake is firm, but not in an overbearing sort of way. He shakes his hand once, and then releases his grip. No testing the manly waters for him.

Wonder Woman has posed:
There is a moment in which her hand is left where it rests, allowing the touch to linger in that moment, but then she moves it in order to pick up her cup of coffee and take a sip of it. Diana gives a small nod to Clark, a smile turning at the corners of her lips. "This is a fair plan. Although I would not call my baklava world famous," she points out, a touch of amusement to her voice. It isn't something that she widely shares, interestingly enough, although this may be in part due to not having a lot of time for actually making it or other baked treats. Her blue gaze turns to Percy at his compliment of it as well, and the blush in her cheeks returns. "Your words are too kind. Thank you. I will make sure that you get a batch of it, when I make it. If fate favours the endeavour, then it may even still be warm from the oven," she says softly, her blue eyes showing a sparkle to them.

There is a moment in which she looks from one of them to the other, as they each speak of Themyscira, and she gives a small nod, to agree with what Clark had said. "Yes, It is home, and always will it be. My mother and I have our moments, sometimes, as all mothers and their children do, but we are not on ill terms. Currently, at least," she says, a thoughtful note to her voice, and a smile touching at the corners of her lips. Percy's offer serves as a distraction from Clark's suggestion of going with her, and she tilts her head a touch to one side. "You would do such for me?" she asks softly. To be offered such a boon is an unexpected thing.

Superman has posed:
A good shake of the hand to Percy from Clark makes the incognito man of steel smile. No overbearing strength from Clark either. To Percy's perception, he may as well just be an ordinary person. After the shake, he seems to tilt his head at Percy. "You know the way to Themyscira?" He questions the man. The island is supposedly hidden by magic...or so last Clark checked, which means he's been to the islandbefore.

But he appears to be Diana's friend, so maybe it will work itself out in the sense department.

Though the touch of Diana makes him smile, and he nods. "I would." He chuckles a little bit, though he doesn't appear insulted that Diana's distracted by Percy, rather he maintains his interest in the conversation, wondering where it may yet go.

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon considers. "World famous... yes, actually." He pauses and smiles. "Actually, my brothers like your baklava too." Wait. What? "So it's at least famous in Olympus." Does he mean Olympia? Or is he being serious? "Are my words kind? Or am I simply ensuring that I get some of your baklava?" His blue eyes sparkle as he says the words. He isn't subtle about licking his lips at the mention of fate, perhaps, making it warm from the oven. Yum!

"It is a beautiful place, Themyscira," says Poseidon. "Many excellent beaches. Very little polution." Which, of course, is always something to make him happy. Nothing worse than polluted waterways. He does what he can, but he's only one god, afterall. Of his own mother or father, he speaks not of. Perhaps not on great terms?

"Of course I would, Diana. Anytime you might have need of it, you have but to call me." She can even do that. Poseidon as a cellphone! He's even reasonably good with the thing. He glances to Clark. "You're welcome as well, if Diana wishes it."

It's nice, sometimes, when really strong people can act like ordinary people. Especially when each is secure with himself. Or herself. He nods. "Yes I do." Know the way to Themyscira. "I know where everything touched by the sea is."

Wonder Woman has posed:
That the men behave themselves during the handshake exchanged is something that Diana notices but gives no particular special attention to. It was the expected result to their introduction, after all. The question about knowing the way to Themyscira draws her attention to Clark, a flicker of curiosity touching her eyes, though the question itself is one that the Amazon princess chooses to leave be -- it had been asked of Percy, and she's not going to step on his toes by answering it for him. There is a smile that tugs the corners of her lips, and her gaze lingers on Percy for his answer, watching him even as she lightly traces a fingertip around the rim of her coffee's cup. Themyscira is hidden by magic, and there are times when it moves as well, though she says naught of either fact.

And then Percy speaks of her baklava, and in ways that Diana had very much not expected. At all. She blinks, surprised, and then blinks a second time. Wait. What? The who at the where now? There might be a mental hiccup just then. "Moirastikes ton baklava mou me ta aderfia sou?" she asks in a soft tone which reflects her surprise. In tone and in the fact that she's speaking Greek in the moment. The part about Olympus doesn't seem to phase her at all, it's more the part that came before that! She considers what he's said for a moment, and then she gives a soft chuckle. "Neither of you are willing to let me have modesty on this," she comments, looking from one to the other of them, a touch of amusement to her voice. Her gaze turns to Percy. "Whichever intent is yours, I promise you, there will be a batch of it made for you," she says, her blue eyes showing a sparkle to them as she gives a small nod to him. And if she needs must convey it in an insulated bag, then she will so that it can still be warm from the oven for him.

"Yes, Themyscira is as you desribe it. There are times when I miss it. It is a simpler life than here, a different life. One of my Sisters has made paintings of it, and I have one of them in my office, at the Embassy," Diana says softly, a thoughtful tone rising to her voice. There is a return of colour to her cheeks as Percy affirms his previously voice offer, and she gives a small nod. "Thank you, Percy. It means much to me that you would, and I will call you when I have need," she promises, a warm note to her voice. Even if that need happens to be just to see him. She's quiet a moment, and one of her eyebrows quirks up a touch as she looks from one to the other of them, considering things. "Men and Themyscira have always been a complicated sort of combination," she says softly. Themyscira may have an Embassy in Man's World, as the Amazons call it, but not everything has changed.

Translation 1: Your... you... shared my baklava, with your brothers?

Superman has posed:
"I'm trying to be honest, at least." Clark comments to the pair of them about Diana's fantastic baklava. Though as Poseidon speaks of Themyscira, Clark seems to tilt his head. "I know the rules of Themyscira can be...complicated towards males. Though maybe Hippolyta can give me an exception?" Clark turns his attention to Diana, as if for potential confirmation, though alas, he doesn't speak Greek, so he has no idea what Diana is saying to Poseidon in regards to her baklava.

Maybe he should start learning?

Secret conversations are secret! Though he tilts his head. "That's strange, though if that's the case-" and he mentions Olympus. Percy. Perseus? No, Perseus wasn't an ocean-based hero in the Greek mythos, and suddenly, Clark's eyes widen a little bit as he starts to figure it out and connect the dots. He leans forard, lowering his voice to a whisper in case others may be listening. "Poseidon? As in, God of the Seas?" He questions him. Of course, Clark believed in a different higher power due to his upbringing and personal preferences, though meeting what may be considered a god is something to behold.

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon isn't his brothers. He does tend to behave himself fairly well. Except when he's riled up. Which he, thankfully, is not. Whether or not Percy knows of Themyscira's magical proclivities, he doesn't say. Perhaps he does. Perhaps he does not. Poseidon's reply to Diana's quesion is replied likewise. In Greek. "Fysika kai to ekana. Egine mia aifnidiastiki episkepsi otan etyche na fao ton baklava sou. Perimenate na eimai agenis kai na arnitho na moirasto mazi tous?" His blue eyes sparkle with amusement. And perhaps a bit of wickedness.

As English is returned to, Poseidon does likewise. "Of course not. Why should we? Your baklava is almost as good as ambrosia." He can't very well say it's as good /as/ ambrosia. Because it's ambrosia. He nods. "I look forward to it." He hadn't forgotten his cocoa or his snack, and he resumes consumption of both. Politely. It could almost be called dainty. "You're welcome," he says again, between bites, meeting Diana's eyes. "It's not much different than with my brothers. Nothing much has changed."

He makes no comment on the rules of Themyscira regarding males. Perhaps there are exceptions for Poseidon. He's not precisely of the world of Man, though he lives here. Poseidon's head tilts a bit, and he leans toward Clark as the man leans in to whisper to him. He's munching a bite of the muffin when the questions come. He nods once, eyes sparkling. "Mmhmm," he affirms.

Translation 1: Of course I did. There was a surprise visit when I happened to be eating your baklava. Did you expect me to be rude and refuse to share with them?

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn has been to this coffee shop before, she thinks..On a chilly day, a hot cup of cocoa is always nice, especially when they have that special Christmas one with the marshmallows, peppermmint and mini candycanes. And so she steps in, rubbing her chilly hands and blowing on them as she waits in the line up. As always the bright pink hair and wings are unmistakable.

Wonder Woman has posed:
"Honesty is always the best option, and I know that you are," Diana says, a smile turning up the corners of her lips as she gives a small nod to Clark. There's more than one reason for the Amazon princess to be disinclined towards attempting the alternative, herself. One of her eyebrows quirk up a touch at his mention of perhaps being granted an exception where Themyscira is concerned, and she lifts one of her shoulders in a faint shrug. "It is not a common occurrence for such to be granted. I would not presume to speak for Hippolyta or the others who have a voice in such a decision," she says softly, a thoughtful tone to her voice. Poseidon's situation with Themyscira is a bit different, but she says nothing about it.

The words in Greek hadn't been intended as a 'secret conversation', even though they turned out to be one. It hadn't been a conscious sort of choice, but rather simply one of those things that just sort of happened. It's hard to tell whether or not she's aware of Clark not understanding what she had said in Greek, though it seems unlikely. She chuckles softly at Percy's response, and then she gives a light shake of her head, her blue eyes showing a sparkle to them. "Tha perimena na eisai akrivos opos isoun," she says in a warm and mildly amused tone, giving a small nod to Percy.

Diana tilts her head a touch to one side as her gaze turns to Clark whilst he works his way through the riddle of Poseidon's identity, a smile teasing at the corners of her lips. She, after all, knew who he was all along. It isn't her place to affirm that Clark's deduction was correct, and so she leaves that for Percy to do. Instead, she lifts her cup of coffee to take a sip of it, savouring the brew whilst watching the pair of them. The ebb and flow of customers in and out of the coffee shop is something she's aware of, and she casts a brief glances towards the door. Though the pink-haired and winged woman is noticed, she doesn't offer a spoken greeting at this point, her attention returns to those who keep her company.

Translation 1: I would expect you to be exactly as you were.

Superman has posed:
The confirmation from Poseidon on his identity makes Clark's eyes widen. Certainly the Superman has faced world invaders and battled ancient gods, but it's almost strange seeing someone you read about and probably did a history report on growing up. "I'm sure everyone who knows asks this question, but are the stories all true or are some of them embellished and exaggerated?" He questions Poseidon with all the joy of meeting someone new and excitement to have answers. Alas, he still can't understand what they are saying. He catches about every other word maybe, if even that.

Though Clark looks between them and clears his throat. "Is this a secret conversation?" Clark asks curiously

Clark laughs a little bit, before he looks to Diana, a silent question as his hand comes up to his glasses. A silent question: Should I reveal my identity? or does Poseidon already know?

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon glances to the door as it opens to admit the very pink adorned Megan Gwynn. He offers a nod her way, perhaps recognizing her. But, that attention moves quickly back to the table. He lifts his cocoa to have another sip of it. It's regular cocoa, with whipped cream but nothing else. He shrugs at the question posed to him. "Depends on the story. Some are true. Some are embellished and exaggerated. Some are understated. Just as takes of anyone tend to be, I suppose."

Another bite of muffin goes down, leaving the muffin down to crumbs and the wrapper it had come in. He blinks, and laughs, and shakes his head. "No. Not a secret conversation. I was telling her that my brothers, Zues and Hades, both like her baklava." As for identities... whether or not Poseidon knows Clark's identity, he doesn't say. He probably doesn't. The god lives on a fishing boat, for crying out loud.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn glances around after retrieving her drink, blowing o the steam as she searches for a place to sit. For a brief moment her eyes meet that of the sea god and she grins and waves to him. "Heeey stranger, where you been all this time?" she giggles a bit, skipping over to his table.

Ooh but isn't this interesting. That looks like the reporter who interviewed her before and she smiles and nods to him as well, "Hiya Mr Kent! How you doing?"

And of course the last person there is perhaps world famous and hard to miss. Doubtless she has at least seen her on tv, not to mention fought alongside her on more than one occasion. Not that she'd remember of course. "Uh..Your highness.." she bows a bit to Diana, not entirely sure how to address a modern day public princess who is casually sipping a drink at a local coffee shop.

Wonder Woman has posed:
There's a soft chuckle from Diana at Clark's reaction, amusement held in the sound of it and reflected in the sparkle that rises to her blue eyes. It is always interesting to see others meet a God. Her lack of surprise would tell the tale clearly that she already knew exactly who he was. There are reasons for it, but none that she mentions. Being Themysciran is a part of it. Her people have come from a different history, and they have different beliefs. Her religion is not quite what would be expected for most who live in this world, though not many at all have cause or reason to know that particular detail about her. And then he asks his question, and one of her eyebrows quirks up, though she waits for Percy to answer before she adds her own comment. "It oft depends on the story and who is doing the telling. Some stories can be both," she says softly, her tone thoughtful. She picks up her coffee to take a sip of it.

And when he asks about their conversation that had been in Greek, she gives a soft chuckle before lightly shaking her head. "Ah, no. 'Tis not secret or private. I was caught rather off-guard when Percy mentioned sharing the baklava with his brothers, and I fell into Greek out of habit," she comments, a flicker of amusement to her voice. It was unexpected to hear! The unspoken question from Clark causes her to tilt her head a touch to one side as she looks to him, studying him brief before she looks to Percy. The God is also studied for a moment, and then she returns her attention back to Clark and lifts one of her shoulders in a faint shrug. She doesn't know what Percy might know or sense of him, in truth. "I could not say," she says quite softly, a thoughtful note to her words. She hasn't said, and she'll not say a secret that isn't hers to reveal. Yet Percy had given his own identity, and so that very act could well be taken as a sign of trust where Clark's own is concerned. Her gaze shifts to Poseidon, to watch him as he enjoys his treats.

As Megan offers greetings to Poseidon and starts to head towards their table, Diana's gaze turns in her direction. She gives a small nod to greeting, a smile turning the corners of her lips. "Good morning, Megan," she offers, a smile easily returning to her features. "You can call me Diana, if you wish," she adds, inclining her head slightly towards the younger woman.

Superman has posed:
"Hi there Megan." He tells the fairy mutant, giving her a kind smile, though he shrugs a little bit. "I'm doing well, just enjoying good conversation and great company. How are you?" He asks with bit of a chuckle, though his eyes shift to Diana, then back to Megan for a brief moment though his eyes eventually settle back on Poseidon.

"I should bring a Greek mythology book to you and see what you think of it. I'm just curious, whether which ones were true." He smiles at Poseidon then, though his eyes shifted to Diana and he notices her amusement towards his actions and words for Poseidon. "What's so funny, Diana?" He questions her, a little chuckle coming out.

Her apology is noted and appreciated, but not necessary. "Heh, no need to apologize Diana. I can understand the reasoning." Then his voice falls softer. "Perhaps if he does not need to know, then he does not need to know." Clark tells Diana in a soft voice, though he looks at Poseidon and he looks as if he might speak, though Megan's presence restrains him from revealing his identity.

The less people know, the better.

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon lifts his right shoulder in a half shrug. "Oh, you know. Here. There." Now that all that is left of his muffin is crumbs, he crumbles up the wrapper it had come with and plays with it in his right hand. With his left, he sips his cocoa. He smiles at Clark and nods once. "I wouldn't say no," he offers, of the Greek mythology book. "It might be kind of interesting.

When Clark's identity is not revealed, Poseidon remains as he was. There are no questions nor disappointment. Then again, there were no expectations to be disappointed or have questions about! "How are the three of you this fine glorious morning?" The question seems a genuine one. And he seems uninclined to continue on his way, happy to spend the time chatting with good people.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles at Diana and nods, "Ooh! you do remember..Nice to see you again, Miss..Diana. Although I didn't expect to see you in a place like this." she grins at Clark as well, "I'm doing alright, been reading up a lot on magic, but it's been hard without a proper tutor that sticks around long enough..Thanks again for the interview, always happy to offer more insight into the life of mutants!"

As for Poseidon she smiles impishly, oh, right. Percy, that was his civilian name. "Soo, where you been?" she tilts her head, "I've been looking for you for a bit, you just disappeared one day. But I guess you had important duties Afterall." she pouts, "Still, I missed you."

Wonder Woman has posed:
One of her eyebrows quirks up a touch as she looks amongst the three of them, shifting her position to lean back slightly against the bench of the table she's settled at. She lifts her coffee, taking a sip from it and listening as Clark speaks. There's a smile that teases at the corners of her lips, and her blue gaze turns to Poseidon as Greek mythology is spoken of. "They are all true, in their own ways, and many of them are false in their own ways as well," she says softly, a thoughtful note to her voice. There is no greater enlightenment that she offers where myths are concerned, interestingly enough. "I find they are itneresting to read," she adds, giving a small nod.

"It is interesting to witness someone meet a deity for the first time. It seems to be something that is oft unexpected for people. Many seem to have forgotten that the various gods and goddesses are quite welcome and able to be walking amongst us just as they did in the years before," Diana says softly, a smile touching at the corners of her lips. Many people seem to have preconceived notions about what a deity should look, and those notions often come from the assorted myths and legends that a person has been exposed to. "I do not have many opportunities for speaking Greek, but I may need to start speaking it more frequently with Percy," she comments with a touch of amusement, a smile curling at the corners of her lips. As Clark speaks of not needing to speak of his identity, she gives a small nod to accept it, yet she doesn't comment further on the matter -- it is his choice whom he tells or not, after all.

"I am doing well, so far today. It has been relatively quiet, and I have the day off from the Embassy and my duties at the museum," she says, giving a small nod to Percy. "And for yourself?" she asks, her gaze settled on Percy. Her gaze turns to Megan, and she gives a nod and a smile. "Yes, I remember. It is good to see you again as well. I come here rather often, to be honest. They make a good cup of coffee, among other things," she says, a smile easily returning to her features. "How have you been?" she asks.
