Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Faith Lehane, Batman

Faith Lehane has posed:
To be honest, Faith has never actually visited Gotham before, but she has heard the rumours, how it's a dark, drab, crime ridden place, certainly moreso than Sunnydale district. And c'mon, it's got the word 'Goth' in it. But she didn't come here on a touristy excursion. She came here looking for something specific, or perhaps someone. And while most vamps tend to hang around the Hellmouth in Sunnydale, occasionally they slip out to other areas.

The particular vamp gang she was tracking had made it as far as Gotham, apparently attempting to start a new gang there, and as night falls on the dark city, they come out in the droves, having chosen a little old abandonned warehouse to throw a party, complete with innocent unsuspecting humans who have no idea they are the real thing...Or maybe they do and they're happy to worship them..

Oh yeah, and there's Faith too, dressed in black leather pants, a red cut off top and black arm warmers, dancing it up. Is she here just for fun or business? Hard to tell with Faith most days of the week..
Batman has posed:
Gangs, vampire and human, tend not to do well in Gotham lately. Sure, they'll have some initial success, but they inevitably attract the wrong kind of attention, the kind of attention that has a signal in the sky and swarms you with terror out of the shadows. Maybe these vampires weren't listening. Maybe they were just stupid.

Batman squats in the rafters, black cape wrapped around him, watching intently. The woman's a wild card. Batman's waiting to see how it plays out.
Faith Lehane has posed:
There is a stage with a goth band playing. But as the latest song reaches it's end, the apparent lead vampire takes the stand. These are not your typical storybook vamps with their overdramatic capes and ridiculous tuxedo suits. These are the real deal, and sure, their outfits are outdated and they seem some how antiquated in their manner of speech..But they're not nearly so melodramatic.

A tall thin man with white hair takes the stages, raising his arms for silence. "Friends, allies...Thank you for welcoming us with open arms." he smiles, showing his fangs, "How very..Kind of you to let us into your fold, to willingly offer yourselves to us this night. We will make sure it's a night you will not forget easily.." his dark eyes gleam in the moonlight, beckoning many of the eager followers to step forth.

"You wish to worship us like gods..To become one of us. Very well, allow us to take the lead and show you what's in store for you.." The first volunteer steps forward, a thin teenaged girl, all spindly legs and arms in her too-short silver mini dress. The vampire wraps his arms around her waist, drawing her in..Kissing her..Kissing her neck. And then those fangs come out.

More vamps are pairing up with humans, doing pretty much the same. Do they really think this is fun?

Faith snarls, stepping back into the shadows, drawing her stake from her shirt. Time to get to work. But there are so many of them here..Can she possibly do it all herself?
Batman has posed:
The Batman drops from above and lands on the stage just behind the seeming leader, his cowled visage intimidating perhaps even to the vampires - or perhaps not. If they make that mistake, they'll pay for it swiftly enough.

"We don't need any gods in Gotham," he says, lashing out with a straight kick to drive the leader off the stage as he unleashes smoke bombs. Still, if these were real vampires, he was going to need more than boots and batarangs to get the job done, as capable as he was. His armored costume seems to protect him well, at least, fangs unable to penetrate its material as he stuffs a phosphorous grenade in teh mouth of one and its head explodes in a burst of flame.
Faith Lehane has posed:
There is a collective gasp arising from the crowds as The Batman makes his appearance. Most of these people are criminals, delinquents, or at least criminal wannabes. His appearance strikes more fear into them than the true monsters, but isn't that typical..?

"Look! It's batman! Get him!" the girl in silver screams and stumbles forward, unknowingly spared from being the lead vamp's little snack. He snarls even as he staggers off the stage, spinning around to face the Batman, leaping back to the stage with inhuman grace. He's taller, stronger than the others, rushing at him with a flurry of kicks and strikes, perhaps fighting blindly in the smoke.

Faith is kept busy with more vamps.
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne is annoyed. These vampires are hearty creatures, not entirely incapacitated by broken bones and capable of taking serious blunt force trauma. He has to escalate. He presses a switch and the 'fins' on the sides of his gloves unsheathe and become silver blades as he starts to focus on strikes now, slicing and damaging. Maybe this variety hates silver, maybe they don't. Either wah, he's about to cut them up.

He catches sight of Faith being part of the fight, marking her as an ally as he hiptosses one, "Get back to back with me," he cries, planting a foot on the shoulder of a vampire and leaping through the air, somersaulting cape and all and landing in a crouch next to Faith.

"Hunter?" he asks.
Faith Lehane has posed:
There is mass panic now as both vampires and victims run around screaming. The smoke bombs only add to the panic, but Faith moves quickly, methodically, spinning and twirling and dancing and slashing out with her wooden stakes, exploding numerous vampires in the heart with relative ease.

She smirks at Batman and nods. "So, you're the Batman, huh? Nice to meet a legend." she winks and nods. "Slayer. Rogue Slayer I guess they call me.."

The silver blades do have an effect on the vamps, cutting into them, slowing them down..Although the only true way to kill them is with a wooden stake through the heart..Or beheading, which Faith is happy to demonstrate.

But what's this? Looks like the vampires are regrouping, moving away from Batman and Faith, surrounding a group of victims who haven't yet fled the chaos. One of them pulls out what looks liek a flame thrower, and sprays a ring of fire around the innocents..Looks like the stakes have just got higher..
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne gets the two of them positioned almost naturally, aligned like yin and yang, complimentary as they move in circles to swat aside the vampire onslaught. When he sees the flamethrower, he pulls down a clip on his mask, drawing a breather into place, distorting his voice ominously in the process.

"Keep fighting. I've got to take that guy down before he burns the place down around us," he says. He draws a trusty batarang and flicks it, aiming to slice the fuel line and disable the weapon, although there is a chance of blowback against the wielder, a bit of payback for the grisly act of burning someone alive. Batman doesn't kill people. But he doesn't always have to save them.

"I've heard bits of the Slayer myths. Thought there was only one or something like that?" he says, moving to try to funnel innocents away from the vampire horde.
Faith Lehane has posed:
People are in full panic mode by now, screaming and running around, although those flames are rapidly rising higher around the bigger g roup. Thankfully, Batman manages to stop it from going too out of control..But there is still a sizable ring of fire trapping people within.

The vampire holding the flamethrower certainly does get some backlash as the weapon explodes in his hands, causing him to explode in a flurry of dust and death.

Faith smirks and shrugs, "TEchnically yeah, except when Buffy died briefly and I was activated. It's a whole big 'thing'." she says this casually as she continues to dance around, taking out vamps as they try to cut off fleeing civilians. "Hm, should be a fire extinguisher around..?" somewhere?
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne only concerns himself with the innocents and keeping the fire contained enough that it doesn't engulf and spread. Vampires burning may be gruesome, but a better fate than living death as a parasite feeding on the living. Batman might have strong opinions on that particular matter. Dead is dead, as far as he's concerned, and he's not like to trust those who come back easily.

"Buffy, huh? Didn't actually believe that rumor when I heard it," he says. He fends off another vampire, blocking a few slashes with claws before hiptossing the thing end over end into the flames. He then takes Faith's suggestion and activates an extinguisher in his wrist-cuff, aiming it forwards in a concentrated spray to douse the flames as the vampires either burn or retreat, "Feel free to pick off the stragglers. I've got this," he says to Faith.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane rolls her eyes. "~Buffy~." she states in an almost cynical, taunting manner. "Whenever people think Slayer, they think of *her*. Like I'm just a cheap knock-off or something. I mean, whatevs!" she sends a powerful kick at another vampire, spinning and twirly and stabbing and slashing, seeming to enjoy the blood lust just a bit more than she should as she takes her time to dust 'em.

As Batman finds the extinguisher and slowly douses the flames, people panic a bit less, but look stunned, confused. MOre vampires leap at the opportunity.
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne shows his full potential, in some ways, as the vampires advance upon him. Already dead, he needs show no mercy, spare no injury. He violently dismantles the vampires with precise strikes, not even needing weapons. He pierces their hearts with their own bones, ribcages caved in accurately to splinter into the haunted meat of the vampire's heart and reduce them to flaming ash.

When he gets a moment to breathe, Batman pulls off his rebreather to expose his very human mouth, "Protect the northwest exit, keep it clear of vamps so we can get the innocents out," he says. "Come on, think about your reputations, take down the Batman, give it a try, dead boys," he says, taunting and even throwing a flashbang to attract their visual attention, counting on their feral, combative sides overriding their reason.
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane is almost having too much fun in this little bloodbath, bashing heads together, slicing heads off and watching the blood spray. She almost forgets about the civilians entirely, until Batman barks an order. She really hates authority, but..He has such an authoritative air..

"Right!" she dashes towards said exit, standing guard, trying to usher people out. The vamps are starting to thin, those that are smart are fleeing.
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne catches one last one and twists his arm behind him. The vampire's superhuman strength is significant, but Batman has leverage and skill and pure will that dwarfs anything this flea could imagine.

"Are there more of you?" he asks. "Do you have a Master? Who should I punish for this indiscretion?"
Faith Lehane has posed:
The vampire shrieks and then spits in his face, refusing to answer. Somewhere in the confusion, it seems the leader managed to escape, using his minions for cover. And while the fire has been put out, it seems the building is quite unstable and pieces of wood structure are starting to collapse. "Come on, we gotta get outta here, no time for small talk!" she yells, ushering the innocents out.
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne gives a grunt of frustration but acknowledges Faith's right. He can hear the creaking of the structure and knows things won't last much longer. He snaps hard, snapping the neck of the vampire and tossing it aside into the remainders of the flames as he moves into a sprint, diving over a pile of broken vampire bodies so he comes back up and catches up with Faith as they get the last civilians out, "Not bad, Faith. Fighting skills like those, I could use you for fighting more than vampires."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane nods and grins, ushering what seem to be the last few people out, leaving a bunch of annoyed and hungry looking vamps behind..But thankfully, Bats makes quick work of at least most of em. "Sooo, what's that, you offering me a job, Bats?" she smirks, cocking her finger at him, "Come on, let's go before we get buried alive!"
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne offers some of his cape as a shield, the reinforced material keeping some of the bits of chaotic ash and tinder caught on the wind at bay. AT the very least, it was fireproof.

With the two of them clear, he gestures towards a nearby alley, allowing the two of them to duck away from any official attention, at least for tonight.

"An opportunity," he says. "I don't know you. Yet. But if you're interested - support, backing, equipment and as many psychopaths as you care to fight."
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane follows the caped crusader out the escape route, watching the rest of the warehouse building collapse "Well, w asn't that fun..Nothing quite like stabbing and beheading the get the blood pumping, am I right?" she grins wickedly as she gives him the once over.

"Alright, I guess I'm in town for a bit, and..Vamps don't usually hang out in these parts. But since I'm here, it might be good to do a little info gathering."
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne nods, "If vampires are invading my city, I need to know about it - and we need to stomp it out. We have enough problems on our hands here without that kind of trouble," he says firmly.

The Batmobile pulls up on a remote control, skidding to a halt, a jumped up muscle car with some expande space and what appeared to be a jet engine strapped to the damn thing. "Need a ride?"
Faith Lehane has posed:
Faith Lehane nods, stretching a bit, "Yeaah, it's pretty trippy, I mean, they dont usually stray so far from Sunnydale, but considering there are like, two slayers and a gang of scoobies there.." she frowns, "I thought I recognized some of 'em, from an old gang of vamps." she shudders at the implications but keeps those thoughts to herself. For now.

A ride is offered and she grins, wasting no time in hopping in. "The hell is this thing? I mean, count me in! This is awesome!"
Batman has posed:
Bruce Wayne smiles thinly, "Custom job," he says. He lets her get into the passenger side while he slides behind the wheel. Straps auto-adjust and cushion them in place protecting from even the highest velocity impacts.

"Scoobies? Like the cartoon dog?" he asks, firing up the massive engine and taking off at high speed.
