Superman has posed:
He is standing looking outside, watching the stars, the night's sky, even if it may be dimmed a bit by rain, the drops streaking down the dome of the observation area, giving the city and the sky a whole different look. "They're not always going to come from out there, you know," he says, even though you haven't said hi yet. He knows every member of the League by the beat of their heart. You can guarantee he knows yours, most likely because of all the hearts here yours is likely the biggest...at least metaphorically speaking. His cape hangs idly, the air hardly moving it as he turns, to look to you, a little smile present. "We still have so much work to do here....we keep looking to the skies for the next threat, like the worry about the Lanterns....but we have more work we need to do right here on our own land."

Wonder Woman has posed:
As she enters the door, Diana has a hint of a smile on her face since he is speaking before she even spoke. He has his ways, of course. "Of course," she agrees as she walks to the table, working her way around until she reaches the seat she usually occupies. She stands with her hands on the back of the chair as she continues. "Most of the battles we have fought have been here, on this world, with threats that come from here. At times, man is his own worst enemy." A comment on the race, not the sex. "There are always threats from within. It is why the Watchtower monitors the planet, not just outer space." She tilts her head slightly. "Is there something amiss? A threat here you have heard of or a rumor?"

Superman has posed:
"There was a movie I saw when I was younger. It had a line in it...'That's the sound of inevitability.'" He of course quotes The Matrix as he looks to you a moment, "It's been quiet. Almost too. We can count on the fact that the insects scurry away when there's noise or something to disturb them but when it is quiet, they come back out and they threaten the crops. Well..." he says, looking out. "I don't know what's coming but every part of me says it's time to prepare to save the crops." His face is serious, genuine, "Not that I don't look forward to the time I'm wrong. I would very much love to be every bit wrong about what I feel." But the unspoken....'but I'm usually not' doesn't have to be added.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Some people might just dismiss such talk. Crops and insects. Yet Diana knows him well. She knows his history and his life before coming to the big city. With that knowledge, she knows for him to use that comparison, it is something important. He would've used something else other than crops, which are what makes a farm live and die. "Just a feeling?" Not asked in a dismissive way, just a confirmation that there isn't something bigger in play that he knows of but isn't sharing. Silly. Batman was the one that played his cards close to his chest, not Clark. "We will need to be extra vigilant, see if we can get a warning before things reach a point of no return."

Superman has posed:
He grins a little, as he looks back up but you can see the smile on his face. "My dad was good at that you know," he says. "The change in a dog's bark. The slightest creak on a side of the house when the breeze had been the other way all day. When it would be still in the middle of the night and everyone was asleep but only two minutes before it hadn't been," he says, perhaps with a bit of nostalgia. "The clues....he could find them where others would see ranodm events, it being 'that time of year,' or just a blustery day. He knew when the weather was being weather or when the weather was being something else...he always could sense the storm coming. Who knows...maybe I'm just thinking back to a simpler time," he says with a quiet sigh.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana shakes her head. "I don't believe that, Kal. I don't think this is just nostalgia. If you truly believe something is coming, it is. We just have to be sure we are ready when it happens." She glances down at her hands on the back of her chair then drops them back to her sides instead. "Should you have any dreams or visions, be sure to let us know though," she says in a half teasing tone. Those are not one of his powers but she believes in such things, knows they can give portents of things to come.

Superman has posed:
That makes him laugh, "Well, I always wanted to play football," he says with a grin. "I know it sounds silly but growing up in Smallville, well, it was the thing to aspire to. Not everyone has an ancient civilization in their DNA for whom they're the last member. Some folks...just want to get a letter on their jacket that says they made it," he says, pausing as he thinks about it and grins. "To be fair, it would have been fairly boring if I was on a team though. Now javelin toss - that could have been fairly amusing. PE...Physical Education was funny....I had to be totally uncoordianted. Some might say I had to throw like a girl..." he says, clearly tossing that bait out there at you.

Wonder Woman has posed:
"Then you must have been the most amazing athlete at your school," comes the immediate reply as Diana gives a bright smile. She knows it for what it was so she will give as good as she gets. The idea of him having to pretend to be something other than what he was, it was strange to Diana. She was raised learning to do all things physical and combat with her sister Amazons. She was taught to always try to excel. The idea of being anything less thatn she was confused her. It had when she first came to the patriarch's world. Now, she played her role as ambassador but she never tried to be less than herself. "It must have been diffucult for you. Just wanting to be normal and fit in. I was lucky."

Superman has posed:
"I don't know about that. I mean...you did miss out on a few things. Homecoming...Sadie Hawkins dances - oh you would have liked those. Rather than guys asking a girl out, the girl got to asked the guy she wanted to take out somewhere. Pretty sure that would have been right up your wheelhouse," he says with a chuckle. Still though he walks past and smiles, wrapping an arm around you briefly, across your front but at the shoulders, as he gives you a gentle hug and he says, "I need to go write an article for my alter ego. I'll be available if you need me. And i'll start cataloguing my dreams for you...it should make for most impressive reading," he teases. "Thanks for listening. Don't forget to get some sleep for yourself."
