Superman has posed:
You can take the boy out of Smallville, but you can't...

That is to say that Clark Kent, major league reporter for the Daily Planet, is sitting in a booth, looking at a menu. The reason? Oh, he's waiting for someone. Someone who knows he's coming into town tonight but Clark conveniently forgot to say when. Though he does know her routine well enough from social media - not hers, of course, but other people *cough*Veronica Lodge*cough* that can't seem to stay off the thing. And so he knows when there's a game, and when there's a routine like going to the local restaurant after so that one can cheer on the team, win or lose. And so, sitting back, wearing traditional red flannel with a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt underneath, the walking poster child for Midwest America sits trying to decide what to order while waiting for his cousin.

Supergirl has posed:
The cars start to come into the parking lot, spilling out hordes of teenagers. They begin filling up the booths and tables, grabbing menus and settling in. A few push together tables to allow for a larger group to sit. It's a few minutes then the vehicles carrying the football players and the cheerleaders arrive. The girls come in first, still dressed in their uniforms. They call out to the crowd, getting the people going just before the players enter. Cheers go up. The Bulldogs won tonight so spirits are even more high than usual.

As the players settle at the big table with some of the Vixens, Kara looks for a spot at the bar to go get a malt as she pulls out her phone and fires off a quick text to her cousin. <Heya Game over. U in town yet?> She flounces to one of the stools by the bar, smoothing down her skirt before settling in atop it.

Superman has posed:
He is sitting there, watchign people come in. He sees you of course and he takes out his phone, looking to the text he received. There's a moment where he ponders texting you back, and he thinks about it. But then, grinning to himself, he just starts to talk REALLY quietly. Like super quietly. <<Kaaaaaaaraaaaaaaa....>> and you can hear it a couple of times. Only it doesn't sound like it's from far away, it's just relaly really quiet compared to the other noice in here. But...then you of course have the ability to focus.....if you want. Otherwise Clark will resort to plan B as Pops smiles to you wlaking past, taking a glass of cherry cola towards the table Clark is sitting at.

Supergirl has posed:
As she tucks away her phone, Kara hears that whisper. She frowns a little, tilting her head to the side as she wonders if she imagined it. It's rather loud in here with all the rambunctious fans and players. Then she hears it again and she focuses her hearing, picking up that it's Clark's voice. Not distance. Whispering? WHy would he be...

She spins around on the stool and looks sharply in the direction the sound came from. Spotting her cousin, she lets out a delighted scream, jumps off the barstool and runs over to fling herself in a hug at the man in the booth. "Clark! I didn't know you were here! I mean here here. Not here Starling cause I knew you were coming but here Pop's!" When she leans back from the hug, she gives a mock frown. "You never text back."

Superman has posed:
Glasses are knocked askew, flannel shirt that looks pristine on his All American frame, and even the sound, my goodness, of a salt shaker being knocked over. "You're being most not Canadian," Clark teasingly says to Kara, as he does wrap his arms about and gives her a substantial hug, not worried about the glasses until he sits upright. Arms wrapped around the girl, he looks about the restaurant, and then back to his cousin. "You sure I'm not keeping you from anything? I didn't realize tonight was a big game." Liar, he totally knew it was. He grins though, his poker face not really very good. "I got here a bit ago. The flight up here went a lot faster than predicted. The pilot did a great job." Yes, he flew, versus using the teleporter doo-hickey. Of course.../he/ was probably the pilot and the flight was probably NOT on a plane. Though one does have to wonder where Clark would keep the no smoking sign in this instance.

But getting away from that little digression Clark asks about the menu, "Have you had the mocha shake yet? And is that cheer skirt regulation length?" Yup, let the embarassing begin.

Kevin Keller has posed:
Kevin had went to see the Bulldogs victory tonight, of course it was time for the traditional post game triple triple and Big Milkshake.

Standing relatively tall, Kevin sides up to the bar. The blonde teen was wearing his Riverdale letterman's jacket, and a smattering of blue and gold face paint, declaring 'Dogs #1'. There's plenty of teenage japery going on, mainly around the rowdy football team. Though one of Kevin's classmates comes up from behind and play-noogies him. "Hey! I'm not the one with helmet hair, go noogie Moose, Hoser!" He says with a laugh, Riverdale was indeed a place where someone like Clark could blend in seamlessly.

Yin has posed:
Brooke slips in quietly, and looks around. She promised one of her students that she would show some support for him at the game.. sigh, she needs to remember not to do things like that. So now she's here so she can be seen smiling because he did well. Well, she'd hope the guy is doing well, with his cross training routine. But you never know, the other guy is doing their best too.

She does a quiet sidestep around the racing Kara, barely dodging her and smiles at some of the others on the team quietly. She still has that odd rep that bubbles up now and then, and she doesn't feel like dealing with it today.

Supergirl has posed:
That earns the epic eyeroll that only teenagers seem to have down to an art form. "Claaaark!" The stretching out of the name as though putting off the inevitable horror. "It is well past my fingertips!" She stands up and puts her hands to her sides. The hem of the cheerleading skirt is just barely past the tip of her middle finger. "See! Regulation!" Then she sprawls back into the booth, same side as her cousin. She flicks her brown ponytail back over her shoulder and adjusts her glasses. The menu isn't even glanced at. She spends so much time here, it's memorized. "Mocha shake is good. I love the malts. O.M.G." She actually says the letters. "They are so good. And you aren't keeping me from anything. Game's over. This is just the normal after thing that happens. Everyone shows and eats food and drinks sodas then they scatter back home or up to makeout point." She was looking over the crowd when she said it, giving a quick wave to Brooke who she recognizes from the teacher protest thing they did, but quickly looks back at the mild-mannered reporter who might not be so mild-mannered if he gets a wrong idea. "Not that I go there. I go home! I just get a malt and chat and then straight home and in bed by curfew!"

Superman has posed:
Superman was having fun, though now that Kara stands up like that, he can't help but to laugh. "Alright..." he says, chuckling and as she sits on his side he scoots in just a little more. Some people don't like being trapped in a booth and such. It probably helps Clark to know that if he had to, he could just...move...the booth, so that he could get out. it probably adjusts one's take on things. "It does get crowded," he says, watching folks wlak past, Kara's wave, the noogies and other forms of male bonding going on at the bar. "I can see. Definitely more classy than where I grew up..." he says, yet something about Clark's tone makes it seem like he doesn't think this is much different than Smallville.

"Wait a minute...if you haven't bene to makeout point, how do you know that's what it is? Last time I checked that doesn't ust show up in your local travel guide."

Kevin Keller has posed:
Kevin just so happens to spin around on his stool, taking healthy drinks from the straw of his milkshake. "Makeout point? Right next to Dead Man's Curve. Just don't get the two mixed up. Last time...it was a mess." A completely sarcastic tone that is also a trademark of teenage years.

When Pop eventually drops off the burger at Kevin, its as if he fell in love. It's true, but highly amusing to see.

The blonde haired teen spins around, looking to Kara. "Hey, Kara! Who's your friend?" He asks, making polite conversation.

Yin has posed:
Brooke smiles and waves back softly, then orders one of the vegetarian burgers that made its way onto the menu at some point. Then she looks around, because every table in the place has at least one person on it. Hrm. indecisive look, indecisive look. Her attention flicks to Kevin, who she thinks she recognizes. He probably doesn't recognize *her* though. That's fine. "...Everybody knows where Makeout Point is. I don't even date and *I* know where Makeout Point is."

Supergirl has posed:
"See!" There, they proved her point for her and Kara gives both of them a thankful smile. There is one booth in the entire place that is open. It happens to be the booth where Kara and Clark are sitting. She waves a hand to the bench seat across from them as an offering to both Brooke and Kevin if he would like to join them. "Just cause you know where it is doesn't mean you go there. We're teenagers. We gossip."

She turns her attention back to Kevin and Brooke. "C'mon and join us. This is my cousin, Clark. He's visiting from Metropolis."

Superman has posed:
Clark looks to the friends of Kara and says, "Her older, over-protective cousin," he offers, sternly, "With lots of police connections. And mafia. I'm not afraid to play both sides," is the comment as he keeps a straight face before grinning. He can't easily stand, since he's against the glass/wall, whichever is right there, but he can hold out a hand if Kevin or Brooke come by. His smile widens, his personality welcoming, friendly, warm. He gives Kara a squeeze, hugging her briefly to help enforce his...humor in this situation and he offers, "I don't know. Makeout point by Dead Man's Curve....sounds more like a place to just park and watch people do drag racing. Back on the farm we used to do something like that....only it was with tractors...and slower cause they only go so fast..."

Kevin Keller has posed:
"Ooh, Metropolis, the big city!" Kevin says, moving to join Clark and Kara. "Must be cool to live out there."

Kevin offers up his hand as he sits down. "Oh, my dad's the Sheriff, I understand protected. Though do tell about the mafia bits." Kevin says with a wink, and a healthy tug on the straw. "And as far as dad knows, I'm not dating either. So hard to find good gays around here." He quips to Brooke, giving a little bit of an impish grin.

Yin has posed:
Brooke smiles and wanders toward the offered seat. "Hey Clark. I'm Brooke. It's a pleasure to meet you." She shakes the offered hand softly and slips into a seat. Lots of training, obviously, obvious to anybody of the adventurer sort.

Quietly enough not to spread outside the booth much, she murmurs in Kevin's general direction, "Oh, I totally understand. Guys can't get past the mismatched parts. Not that I am really looking." She smiles innocently and sits, crossing her legs and looking between all assembled.

Supergirl has posed:
"Oh I dunno, I found a good guy. They're out there. You just gotta be patient and not rush into things." Like she is such an authority. Kara's relationships have been quite a mess although she seems to be getting them back on track with Chris. She glanced over at Clark. "I meant to tell you thanks for that, by the way. The advice. I took it, talked to him. We're starting fresh, trying again. So, you were right. Make a note cause I'm never saying that outloud again," she adds with a grin.

Which is when it sinks in and she blinks owlishly then looks at Clark. "You raced tractors? Seriously? Like in that old movie?"

Superman has posed:
"I could tell you more, but then that would put me into an awkward spot. So I'm going to just have to keep my secrets to myself," he says, finishing shaking Kevin's hand and also Brooke's. "And nice to meet you too...." he says, but it's clear he's missing something on the mismatched parts but said shock at the announcement that he was right nearly causes Clark to faint right there. Taking a drink he quickly starts to fan Kara by picking up a few napkins and waving her in their direction. "O.M.G." He quotes her earlier, saying it by the letters, though affecting a bit of a valley girl tone. "Are you alright? I mean, that had to be like the hardest thing ever. Are you going to life?" But then he grins a moment, and asks, "What old movie?"

Disclaimer: While Superman's player may be fully familiar with the 1980's classic Footloose, Clark will neither acknowledge such film nor admit that Kara's reference was exactly what inspired his pose.

Kevin Keller has posed:
Kevin gives a little happy sigh. "Oh? Clark gave you that advise?" A moment passes before Kevin interjects. "Wait, there's a tractor race in a movie? That's so..." The teen motions with his hand, around the chok'lit shop. "This."

Yin has posed:
Brooke shrugs a little. No response from her little drop there. Well, no worry there. "I teach Tai Chi down closer to Angel Grove, myself. More rich woo buyers, cynical as it sounds." She shrugs a little, gets a burger, and takes a small bite, setting it down again to chew a bit. "But I still hang out here a lot."

Superman has posed:
"Nothing wrong with going where the business is. It'd probably have been a lot more questionable opening here if you have foilks in a completely different geographical area than where the more expensive families are." He nudges Kara in the side though, as he pulls out his phone, "I need to take this," he says, having felt it vibrating in his pocket and he looks over to Kevin, covering his phone with his hand, "Ask her," he says to the question about tractors, giving a sort of hapless shrug and pointing to Kara.

Supergirl has posed:
One of the napkins is snatched, balled up, and tossed at Clark as Kara tries to pretend she isn't amused by his antics. As he excuses himself, she turns back to Kevin. "It had Kevin Bacon in it. Apparently every old movie had him in it. I haven't figured that out yet," she adds in a mutter. Then back to a normal tone as she grins. "They played chicken on tractors. It was funny." She glances at her cousin. "I can see him doing that. But he shouldn't tell me cause then I'll probably tell his Ma and she'd be upset that he stole the tractor. Even if it was forever ago." Cause he's so old. And has super hearing so she knows he'll hear every word even though he's moved away.

She looks back to Brooke. "You teach Tai Chi? That has to be interesting." As for mismatched parts, she's not one to worry about such things. "What got you doing that for a living?"

Yin has posed:
Brooke mmms... "I got good enough at it that people were willing to pay me to teach. I'd make a lot more if I was Oriental and talked like a badly accented fortune cookie, though. My mom teaches yoga and dance classes there too, we get some use out of the space." There's.. a bit more to it than that, really, but she doesn't feel like excavating that rabbit hole with people she barely knows.

Kevin Keller has posed:
Kevin gives a laugh, he's heard of six degrees of Kevin Bacon before, and seen many of his movies, but apparently Footloose had escaped him.

"Hey Kevin!" Rings a familiar voice, Moose. "Hey, Moose! Be right there!" The wrestler picks up his shake before nodding to the other three. "Sorry, gotta make the rounds, or else I'm getting all the noogies." He chuckles, before waving over to the football stars of the night.

Supergirl has posed:
"Do they really pay more for that?" Kara asks, honestly wondering if that was true. Being not completely used to this world, even after a few years, there were things she didn't know and perhaps that was one of those things. Then she sees the motion by Clark, calling her that way. "Oops. Looks like we gotta go. It's been nice seeing you again, Brooke. We'll have to talk more later, okay?" She hops to her feet, holding her malt in hand and taking a very long draw off the straw as she is scooting out of the seat. She puts it down, wincing and putting a hand to her temple. "Ow. Brain Freeze." With a final wave, she heads to join her cousin.

Yin has posed:
Brooke tosses a thumbs up. "Sure thing. I'll talk to you later." She munches some more vegetarian burger and relaxes as everyone races off.
