Cast of Characters: Doctor Doom, Black Queen

Doctor Doom has posed:
THe King of Latveria is the position of a solitary soul indeed.

Victor Von Doom is in one of the few moments where he's out of his armor. Instead wearing black pants and a white shirt as he enters the kingly halls of his station. His eyes narrow as he looks around at his surroundings, but more or less seems to be heading to his bedchamber so he can...you know, sleep.

But there's about 85 things between him and a good nights rest. He has a sneaky suspicion one of those things is gonna try and stop him to either converse or try to fight the Grandmaster Sorcerer.

Black Queen has posed:
And then there came a knocking, a knocking at Doom's chamber door. Well, actually it is the front door a bit of a distance away from where Doom is right now. The entrance of the castle. Yes, it might be odd that her presence wasn't detected before now, but the magic emenating from the entrance is rather unique in its nature. The Black Queen is always surrounded by the energy of the people she has killed, which is in the hundreds of thousands, possibly more. It gets absolutely blurring with with and suffering of those who have gone just so she can live. Their psychic energies, their souls, whatever you want to call it, swirl about her in the astral plane like some cyclone of ravens.

The knocking happens again. Like all good vampires, though she could walk in, she chooses not to, making Doom come and allow her entry. Putting him at doing the 'extra' thing. Though, whenever the door opens, there will stand the Black Queen in her customary outfit, and she will be checking her nails with a beleagured look. "That silly woman. I told her blood red, not this... maroon color. And she claimed to be the best, well, you know what being wrong gets you..." She might be talking to herself, but in the astral realm nearby her is a shadowy lanky creature, a night stalker type demon, and she waves it off, "Go, bring her to my basement for later. I will teach her what blood red looks like."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom seems to pause when he hears the knocking on the door. He feels the energy of Selene, and lets be honest, if she was here for combat, she'd A) actually attack, and B) is more than able to be met by Doom even without his armor to help protect him. Nevertheless, the King of Latveria opens the door to his bedchamber. "Selene Gallio. To what do I owe the pleasure." His voice is a mix between deadpan and somewhat intriqued.

Black Queen has posed:
After the demon disappears, Selene walks in and just kind of looks around a bit. She eyes the room, eyes the place, has been checking out the location. "I have never been to Latveria, well, not since you have taken it over really. I have been, long ago, and a lot longer before that." She has some kind of disapproving look on her face, she is unconcerned, she doesn't really fight people face to face, she's too long lived for that. And she looks at Doom and then looks around again, "I just thought that you and I have a unique understanding of things. Of one another. I wondered, since you are... all mighty here..." She says that, and can't help but smirk, like she's telling a joke and avoiding laughing, "Why is it that you joined Light?"

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom just looks Selene right in the eyes, stepping aside so she can entire. Looks comfortable. Large bed in the far back. Complete with probably about 5 differnet hidden passageways that will lead Doom to wherever he wants to go. Though as Selenea almost condescendingly looks around. "Do we now?" even now, Doom has that 'smarter-than-thou' look on his face. Which is pretty much his resting expression.

"I have my reasons. Just as you do, I imagine. Ones that benefit only you, and that the Light is merely an aid to the means to an end."

Black Queen has posed:
"I do have my reasons. Lex convinced me that my view of what the world ought to be would be more easily accomplished within the group than without." And Selene shrugs her shoulders just slightly, smiling in the direction of Doom. She gets about halfway into the room before slowly turning back around to face him with that smile. "And since my view of the world is best, how could I refuse the aid in making it a reality. After all. I have the option of playing the long game. A little bit of help with your... concerns, whatever they might be here and there... what is a few years of time that could save me ten to hundreds of times that?"

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom is not impressed!

But he seems to smirk like he foresaw Selena's reasonings about the subject of why she joined the light. "Let me guess: You want to be a Goddess. To rule over all life, nipping at your heels?" His tone is almost mocking. "Playing the long game is always the wiser choice of action. Less chance of making mistakes."

Black Queen has posed:
There's a bit of a scoff, as Selene hears her exact plan really told to her. She's a simple woman really, but she tries not to lead conclusions in that direction. "I only need the title really only at this point. Must get everything put into place. And I was robbed of it years ago, so I am due. What is your reason? That you have the opportunity now to make your... toys, and gain technological knowledge from Lex and other members? Of which, you will not get from me, I do not even carry a cellphone, silly contraptions really, waste of time. I have people who carry cellphones for me, and use this internet to order other things. Do you realize you can order a car, to be delivered to your home, with a phone? It is ridiculous." She's obviously ordered a few.

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom crosses his arms at that point, humming. "A service you no doubt have already used to suit your own needs." He doesn?t seems to elaborate any further, and instead kinda looks pretty condescending at the moment. As to what is his plan, he simply shrugs. "There can only be one ruler over all. I do not care if I must steal or achieve almighty power. There can only be one Emperor." It's clear to see that he is serious. "But for now, my homeland is enough."

Black Queen has posed:
"Not to be a gambler on that one, if the past is any indication of the future. I would put your money on the one who has been, and will continue to be, around." A bit of a shrug, "You can figure out whom that one is, but in the meantime I have a quandry. It is more of a magical sort, and figured that you may have the tools that I need to accomplish what I am looking forward to doing." And Selene smiles, "Did you hear the sing song of the little birdie the other day? The cry of negativity, the fiery word splitting inside of all minds? Hmm?"

Doctor Doom has posed:
"I imagine I will live longer than you will." Doom says judgementally. Ofcourse, he who would be God-Emperor Doom pretty much always thinks he's the smartest person in the room at any given moment. "I did. I also hear it was relatively solved, because Despite briefly thinking I would have to intervene. But since it is concluded, I no longer care." Doom moves to sit at the edge of his bed. "Is there anything else I can help you with, or do you intend to attempt to keep me awake all the night long?"

Black Queen has posed:
THere's an actual snickering laugh, and Selene looks at Doom, "Upstaging aside. I have died more times than you have lived in days." She tilts her head a bit to the side as she looks to Doom, "Really? You heard it, and you think it is done? You do not realize what the sound was or who it came from? A phoenix not yet inhabited, from a place not of this world?" Smirking more, Selene mentions, "You fail to grasp this and yet you think that you are the one who shall inherit the universe? Very well, I will not then share in this and come up with my own means to gather unimaginable power. Not that I am lacking in that already, but it is good to have spare snacks lying around."
