Cast of Characters: Captain America, Quicksilver

Captain America has posed:
Having returned from the charity event and apparently no worse for the wear given the number of flutes of champagne he drank to blend in -- thank you, Erskine -- Steve's wandering from his bedroom and over to one of the offices he calls 'home' when he's not formally at the Triskelion. With manila folders under his arm, he's out to review more findings on the Sentinel robots and their erstwhile 'borrowed scientist'.

However, the distant sounds of rapidly-displaced air get his attention. He pauses outside of the office and stares off towards the library before coming to the conclusion as to who's the cause of it. The manila folders are placed inside the office on the desk and he's certain to firmly shut the door before he walks down the hallway towards the library. He's in casual wear of jeans and a blue t-shirt emblazoned with the Avenger's signature 'A' upon it along with indoor-slippers. The Captain pauses in the open space of the book-room's doubled doors to observe precisely what's going on -- or, at least, attempt to, given the speed of it.

Quicksilver has posed:
If I could make days last foooreeeevverrrr

As soon as Cap looks upon the work of Quicksilver, he'll notice that there are books EVERYWHERE.

Literally, and not just because it's a library. There are books neatly stacked on tables...while others are just littered along the floor. A simple blur of silver and blue zooming around the room far faster than Cap could probably keep track of. "Ugh, engineering is so freaking lame." Pietro says with his Romanian accent lightly peeking into his words.

But the bigger question is...

Why is he reading up on engineering?

Captain America has posed:
"Don't let Tony hear you say that. You'll get a lecture." Steve's comment precedes him as he walks into the room proper. Stooping, he begins picking up the books on the ground with an air of patience. Each is returned to an empty space on the surrounding tables, littered with titles as they are, and he frowns curiously down at the one in his hand about the history of engineering from the 1800s to present.

"Working on a project? This seems more complicated than soapbox cars," he says to Pietro.

Quicksilver has posed:
"Hm? Oh hey."

Pietro ZOOMS again and soon enough, he's right back in front of Cap, this time offering the Super Soldier a coffee. "The Sentinel business still bugs me. If any more of them show up, I'd rather know specifically what part will most likely do what when I disassemble them faster than their binary can complete a code."

Tech jokes.

God help us all.

"But...what brings you here?"

Captain America has posed:
"Thanks," and the Captain takes the offered coffee with a small smile. He listens as he places the book on historical engineering atop one of the many small piles and looks back to Pietro. A sip of the drink and he licks his lips against the swift tingle of burnt skin. Oh well, it'll heal fast enough. Memories of bolting the grind-gritty cups of coffee out in the trenches momentarily crowd against his inner eye before being gently pushed aside.

"The very speed you could use against them, actually," he explains. "Haven't seen you in a while and heard you moving about. You should speak with Tony though, or maybe Bruce. Tony, at least, is up to his elbows if not his shoulders in the engineering of the Sentinel robots. Only brushes I've had with them are in fisticuffs, not with readings and results in a lab."

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro then seems to look at his mess. and yes, while Steve is talking, Pietro is picking up things in quick bursts and then going right back to where he was standing. Hopefully Steve wouldn't notice!

....aside from the obvious fact that many books were now being put back in their places. Not exactly the most stealthy of procedures.

"Oh? Really? Huh...I guess I should be around more. Admittedly, it's what I get for finding a cute brunette." Wait, Pietro has a girlfriend? "Gotcha. Well, I'll be sure to poke my least liked Avenger and talk with Bruce. I guess they'd know more about disabling them rather than me simply reading through books that have nothing to do with them."

Captain America has posed:
It takes the Captain a moment, but he does begin to notice the disappearance of the book piles one by one and the filling of gaps in lines of titles on the shelves. He's able to hide most of his little smile behind the rim of the coffee mug as he stands there with good-natured ease before the speedster.

"None of the info you want'll be in these books, yeah. The stuff might be on the internet somewhere, but that'll likely involve hacking and you'd want Nat for that endeavor." The Black Widow is the paramount of dark-net hacking, at least in Steve's opinion. "It's a mess, all of it." He sighs and shrugs, as if the Sentinel robots are yet another thing on his lengthy to-do list.

Quicksilver has posed:
"Well, looks like I have some research to do then...." Pietro kinda just lets his head hang for a moment in a 'this is such a drag' kind of way. But his eyes do light up again, and he chuckles. "Well, it makes sense. She's the Black Widow, after all. Nightmare to spy agencies anywhere." he winks. "But don't worry cap, I'll check it out. For now? I'm running a little late actually." he pats Steve on the shoulder in passing.

"See you when I see you."
