Star Shimmer has posed:
The morning sun is peeking over the horizon. Its a nice morning. Quiet. Its about the time those who work the night life are just getting off work. One such person who, actually didn't do much to help as she was training much of the night on a small, empty island, is Autumn. Now exhausted, She is on her way home. As she goes, she stops at as small donut shop and grabs some donuts and coffee. From there she flies back to Gotham. She'd be pretty darn stealthy if not for that crazy violet light trail she leaves behind. As she lands on the roof, She quickly moves down to her apartment. Using her ring she unlocks the window and opens it to slip in. Home free!

Now that she's home Autumn doesn't see the need to change her Star Sapphire outfit. No one's going to see, at least she doesn't think so. She simply walks over and takes a seat and turns on the news. Quietly she fishes out a PBnJ powdered donut and sips her coffee as she watches.

One of the headlines is from yesterday morning. Chaos at JFK Airport. A "Super Villain" using lightning attacked the place. Several people were injured or killed. Several heroes showed up but the big name seems to be STAR SAPPHIRE! Of course the image they show of said Star Sapphire has a much different look compared to the other Earthbound Star Sapphire. In fact anyone who knows Autumn and knows she does the hero thing could quickly put 2 and 2 together. Still Star Sapphire gets her credit and that may not be the worst of things.

Batman has posed:
The sun may be coming up, and the Dark Knight does his best work at night. He has decided to pay a visit to his budding heroess and wait for her there. He allows her a moment to change as he steps out of the back room, and moves silently behind her where she sits. He watches her a moment without making a sound.

"I thought it was best that you rest up and get back to full strength before you decide to play with your powers Autumn?" The gruff voice says from the receeding shadows as the sun peeks over the horizon.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles and stands up, walking around the room like nothing ever happened. "This ring accelerated my healing! I am at like 99%. Just a little dull pain. Also, I had a run in with Black Canary and she showed me a place where I could practice the ring safely. Also I got a good part time job. One where I could leave at a moments notice without much difficulty." She doesn't draw much attention to the tv. In fact she is still in uniform so she is sorta hoping she is distracting enough to not make it clear that the Star Sapphire in question was her.

I am actually going to get in touch with Batwoman today and get back into training without the ring. I want to be able to handle myself without using this thing so if anything ever happens and I can't use it, I am not helpless and I don't wind up hurting anyone. Would you care for a donut? I actually wasn't out fighting people tonight. I was mostly just sitting around on a small and empty island practicing making constructs."

Batman has posed:
Batman presses his lips into a fine line as he waves a waved glove, "I am fine." As he looks at the donuts and moves to stand by the window. "I do not have a complete understanding of the ring Autumn but if you lost control you would be putting alot of people at risk. I have heard of Black Canary." He knows her file that he has started since her arrival on the hero scene. He hmmms softly, "And you may be in better form. But you are not in your best form. And we do not know if the ring has side affects compared to the other ring." He turns folding his hands behind his back under his cape, "You understand my concern?"

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn nods, "Yes I understand them. I get it. I really do." She takes a deep breath. "Its been talking to me. Explaining things to me and stuff. It has a full on artificial intelligence built into it. It doesn't feel wrong. Heck, Since I put it on, I've felt more like myself? If you can follow me?" She sighs.

She bites her bottom lip and looks down at the ring. "Libby, Switch to audio mode. Language english." SHe states looking at the ring.

"Yes Autumn what would you like to know?"

"We have some questions for you and we need some answers. Batman is right. There isn't much knowledge about the Star Sapphires on Earth. I know Star Sapphire resides here but she does have a checkered past and many do not trust her because of it." Autumn responds as she sits back down and rubs the leg that had been wounded. Only a small bruise remains.

"Of course, Autumn I will answer to the best of my ability."

Batman has posed:
Batman turns to face Autumn as he address the "ring" and remains silent.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn looks at the ring. "Libby, Are there any negative side effects to using the Star Sapphire power Ring?" Its probably the most prominent question on her mind.

"Wearing the Star Sapphire ring affects ones ability to sense emotions. It amplifies it, especially in regards to Love. Currently you are still adjusting to this. Eventually you will be able to sense love or a lack there of Anywhere within this Sector of the Galaxy. Additionally, The ring takes care of the wearer. You have noticed how quickly your body had recovered from the wound in your leg. It has also begun work on another problem that you have pertaining to your sex. It is working to remedy this. The only negative side effect of the Star Sapphire ring has to do with control. If you do not control yourself you may become overcome with love and be driven mad by it. Many Star Sapphires have lost control. Many have taken the one they loved the most, killed them and sealed them in crystal stasis so they could never be apart. They can cause much chaos. The other reason control is important is because if you lose your love and succumb to other emotions, like rage or Fear, The ring will no longer function at peak efficiency. If you go too far, it will leave you. You may draw another as well which could be very bad. Especially if you draw a Red Lantern ring. Those are very dangerous."

Batman has posed:
As takes a step forward, Batman speaks in a firm yet calm voice, "And what is the weakness of the Stapphire Ring? How do you defeat someone who is using it when they have gone mad? When love has blinded them so that they can no longer see or act with clear intention." He moves to stand a bit closer to the girl as he allows his hands to fall to his side.

Star Shimmer has posed:
"The Star Sapphire ring is unlike most other rings in that it does not have a color weakness. Should a Star Sapphire lose themselves to the Ring, the best way to defeat them is to break their love. If a Star Sapphire loses their love they will power down. Its not easy but it is possible. The other way would be to overpower them but, That is very difficult as the more love a Star Sapphire has, the stronger they are. Autumn has a good deal of love."

Autumn just looks at her ring and then at Batman. "Oh shit." She facepalms. "The idea of being that far gone is really unsettling. Still. I think its better that someone like me has this then someone like say... I dunno, the Joker? Though I really doubt he'd have the love to do it... Actually he might." She shutters at the thought.

Batman has posed:
As he cocks an eye at the mention of the Joker, "What goes on in that monster's mind can twist and warp anything to his desire. His version of love and your version of love are clearly two different things." He walks back towards the window and says, "And how do you feel you are fairing with your...self training on the ring. Do I still need to find the Green Lantern to help you?" Batman taps the side of his cowl and a very small buzz of radio chatter might be heard to sensitive ears.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn thinks a moment. "I am getting better. The learning curve on the constructs is actually pretty light. No pun intended. I was able to make a few interesting ones just last night. Then there was the Airport. I honestly didn't go out to do anything. I was just going to go grab breakfast and got waylayed when I felt all the emotions coming from there. I was able to help protect the people in the airport and the person causing it. By the way, the news is wrong. He wasn't a super villain. He was a teenage kid. A mutant whose powers manifested and he couldn't control them. He was terrified. We got him help."

Autumn smiles bright. "Also, Libby, the AI in the ring, has been teaching me some stuff. She's the one who taught me how to fly with the ring and she gives good advice in situations. I know I am looking forward to getting back to training. Also, During training with Batwoman, the Ring will be in my pocket. I will not use constructs. No anything. Just me and my Nightingale armor. I want to learn to protect myself right. There are things that could really benefit me including things like strategy and situational awareness that can only come without the use of insane power."

Batman has posed:
Batman nods slowly, "Batwoman will do what she wants in training you. However...I suggest increasing your hand to hand combat...without the ring. If I can easily disarm a seasoned Lantern. Someone with half a mind can do the same to you." He opens the window and says crouches down to become level with it. "

Batman adds looking towards Autumn, "Anything else you should are concerned with or you feel I should know?"

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles, "Well, Since I am pretty much back, I want to have a chat with the mob who sent Killer Frost after me. I don't know which mode to do so with but I refuse to sit on my thumbs and let them send some skitzo meta after me with intent to kill civilians! That simply can not fly. It needs nipped in the bud and quick."

Batman has posed:
Batman hmmms as he pauses before leaving to go back to the Batcave, "Perhaps you should bring Batwoman, Carnary or someone you trust along with you? Killer Frost will try and kill you with a smile on her face. Her "allies" might have something planned. Until you are seasoned...and better suited for going on your own." He turns as his face grows somber and his voice gets a bit colder, "Do not go and handle her on your own. That is an order."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn nods, "Understood. I wouldn't do that. My ring would help with her but, I can't be everywhere and there is no way I want anyone else hurt because of me." She takes a deep breath. "I will organize something. I'll talk with Canary and Batwoman. See if I can't make a plan that will keep people safe and bring an end to this madness. The Mob... They are going to want to talk to Autumn. Not a Star Sapphire. Not Nightingale. That means I am going in handicapped." She thinks out loud. "Let them think they have the upperhand... Get Batwoman to sneak in and keep a close watch on the situation from the shadows. If I can get Canary involved. Have her as backup. She is loud. Between her bike and her Canary cries, that would be enough to set things off by their lonesome. Yeah. If things go smooth, No violence needed. If things don't, I'll defend myself to the best of my ability in normal mode and let the more experienced fighters really handle things." She smiles.

Batman has posed:
Batman nods curtly and says, "And keep that panic button on you if something terrible happens in the meantime. Now I will let you rest up." As he turns slowly towards the window, his hand gets placed on the window sill. A master at planting bugs, Batman places a pin head listening device on the underside of the window sill to make sure the girl keeps her promise. He leaps out the window with an unntural grace for a man his size and glides down to the Bat-Mobile. He lands into the moving car as the roof slides back into position and he drives off without the car slowing down.
