Synopsis: Carrie gets help from the Bat team to stage a murder. Wait, aren't they supposed to be good guys?
Cast of Characters: Carrie Kelley, Robin (Wayne), Shadowcat, Shredder
Tinyplot: City Fall

Carrie Kelley has posed:
There was little time to get a proper explaination of what was going on sent out to those who could help. Between having to go and kidnap the woman, and bring her to a seedier part of the sewers for potential 'disposal', all while having two tag alongs that were only slightly drugged up... There wasn't much time for anything. Carrie, dressed in clothes that looked as if they'd seen better days, had her hair pulled up in a ponytail. She never wore ponytails and her hair looked a touch on the greasy side as if she'd not showered that day yet. She steps away from the other two going, "Keep an eye on her, I'll let them know we got her," she explains.

Indeed, she does send off a text on the 'work phone' that Jack had to inform them 'package obtained'. Her hand in the pocket of her hoodie meanwhile is tapping out and sending a different message to a series of numbers. Kitty and Damian. The message is simply the location along with 'Murder. Stop us.'

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Robin had been assigned to train with Blackbird, and had been doing so as the communique reached his mask HUD. He'd been asked to teach most of the newer folk in regards to the usual equipment.

Luckily the two had been working on grapnel skills. "That location is close. We need to intercept." Robin offers, before he shoots the grapnel and commences to swing towards the scene. "She's undercover, and apparently being made to dispatch someone." Judging by the brevity and the content of the message. "We need to keep her cover, make it look good to whoever she's with, and save the victim."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde is in her Blackbird hero costume that she's had made for activities in Gotham. She reaches the top of the building that Robin set for the current bit of training, reaching down to free the grapple and reload it into the launcher. The message coming in requires her to check a device, frowning as she sees what it says.

"Alright. So rough her up just enough to look good," Blackbird says as she moves over to the corner of the roof that Robin is launching from. She takes a few more seconds than he does, gauging the angle to fire before launching the grapple over to snag onto the gothic architecture of a taller building. She swings out into space, no bat cape to use for gliding, but pretty fearless about heights even without it as she follows close behind Robin.

Shredder has posed:
Pete scratches his buzzed head, and looks a little confused as Carrie explains to them. "So, I mean, we can just smash the door and...do it, right?" he asks. "Then we can just dump her in the sewer. Maybe get some pics or somethin'," he commends. "So they don't think we're makin' it up. Oh man, this is heavy stuff."He looks a little nervous about the mission, while Annie seems to be on her own phone. Who could she be texting. She laughs at whatever the response is, seeming only to be auxilliarily aware of the task at hand.
Pete at least is watching, sitting in the driver's seat of the old car they used as the 'Snipemobile'. It's a Chrysler LeBaron. 1995, and whatever the red hue used to be is faded to a dull maroon and rust.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Pretty much. Try to break in quiet though. Don't leave any fingerprints or anything," Carrie points out. "That's how they always get caught on TV. Just get her tied up and in the car, then we'll dump her in the sewer. They can do what they want then. Or hell just leave her and let the rats get her." Shrugging indifferently she turns her attention to the house they'd staked out earlier. "So, let's get going. This isn't going to do itself."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian landed on a nearby rooftop, approaching the edge carefully. He'd hoped they would catch them in the act of entering the place. It would make for the best story for Carrie.

The LeBaron was identified, and Carrie inside was spotted. "As they go in, we go." He comments, keeping his fingers pressed against his mask, keeping a watchful eye.

Shadowcat has posed:
Blackbird lands with unnatural silence beside Robin. She stays low to avoid being a visible silhouette up on the roof as she watches what is transpiring. "Wondering if we can't manage it so they think they succeeded. Though it would put the person at some risk," she says to Robin.

Despite the comment, she checks a smoke pellet, making sure it is at hand if she needs it, and then pulls on her gloves, making sure they are on tight as she gets ready to go when Robin says, otherwise.

Shredder has posed:
"Right, right," Pete nods exhuberantly, and takes in a few deep breaths, blowing the air out in his mouth. He puts on his gloves. Fingerless gloves. "Right, gloves on, here we go! WHOOOO!"
The driver's door opens, and he takes off for the house in a full sprint, screaming like banshee as he takes across the street, running toward the door.

Annie jumps at the sound of Pete, and looks back at her phone franticly. "Shit. Hold on I gotta..." she punches a few more keys in her phone, and then stuffs it into her pocket as she haphazardly opens the door, and then begins to run awkwardly around the car on her way behind Pete. True professionals.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley can be seen through the car windows clapping a hand over her face at these idiots. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? How did they manage to do anything to begin with? Either way it was on, so she bolts out the door as well tugging her hood up over her head. "Shut up!" She hisses at Pete as she runs after. "Fuck! Get the door!" And she hits it with her shoulder at a run aiming to knock it in.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian watches as Pete and Annie show their experience in these matters. All he can do is tsk in a dismissive manner. "Amateurs." He comments, before he looks to Kitty. "I have an idea." He'd always wanted to do this.

"Make your ingress, from the right. I take left, be noisy when you start the fight." He shoots his grapnel, aiming for one of the outcroppings beside the building.

As he makes himself ready, he topples, taught wire clipped to his belt, dangling head first to the ground and watches, a predator waiting for his prey. Whoever he'd end up grabbing would bear a first row seat to their drama about to unfold.

Shadowcat has posed:
Blackbird nods at the instructions. "Got it. If I see a chance to impersonate the victim, will see if we can't let her succeed," Blackbird says. As Robin swings away, Blackbird instead just runs through the air over to the house's roof. She sticks her head down through, likely having to go down a ways past any attic or hanging ceiling to see into the rooms below. She moves quickly while phased, checking to see who is present in the house as she makes her way quietly towards the right end of the building that Robin directs her towards.

She waits for the moment to rush in, letting their targets closer until it's time to go.

Shredder has posed:
Pete slams shoulder first into the door of the small house. A hole is punched in the solid core door, and he recoils. "Aw damn!" he cries out. The door is broken, but it takes Carrie's extra hit to blow it in.
"Didn't think it'd be that hard!" he exclaims, loud enough that it wouldn't take any expert to know what is happening here.
Annie is just behind the other two. "Okay, lets do this!" she barrels past. "Okay bitch!" she yells out. "Time's up!"
Inside, a middle-aged woman in her night gown was just sitting down to TV. She's slightly pear shaped, dark hair and brown eyes. "AAAAAHHH!" she screams, leaping up from her couch, scrambling backward in terror. You don't have to be a good invader to be scary.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley resists the urge to use a few of Damian's usual insults for people. Moron. Idiot. Fool. Sure they weren't very risque but boy did they fit right now with this 'crew' she'd fallen in with. She grits her teeth against the discomfort of hitting the door but she doesn't cry out or shout like the other two. Inside she charges heading right for the woman stumbling back to scream. One arm stretches out to make a grab for the woman as she lands on her foot to twist around behind her at the same time. "Shut it or else!" She declares even as her stomach flips for doing this in the first place.

"Out! Go go go!" Her words are sharp, commanding, as she starts to haul the woman with her toward the door back out. This was just a smash and grab so in and out was exactly what they needed to do. ... And hopefully her backup was out there to make sure it didn't go south./

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian's ears rang with what was going on inside. He went to subvocals to communicate. "They are making their way out. Be ready." He let's Kitty know. As soon as one is under him, he would make for the attack, a quick grab and dangle. It was a move he'd seen Batman do many times before, but this time it was the son's turn to instill fear.

Shadowcat has posed:
Blackbird answers back on their communications. "If you can keep the two occupied, I'll switch myself with the victim," she says. Unless she gets any kind of negative reply that's what she goes with.

As Robin deals with the first that is not-Carrie to come out, Blackbird drops down in front of the second. A punch thrown at the person's face lands right between their eyes, disorienting and making it difficult for them to see. The punch is immediately followed up with a hard kick to the chest, done to send the person flying off the porch to the side, leaving them outside with Robin and the one he is dealing with.

Blackbird drops a smoke pellet there at the front of the house to help obscure things and then moves into the house with Carrie and the victim. "Not a word, and you'll be safe," Blackbird says to the woman. "I'll be your victim," she adds quietly to Carrie.

The victim is phased and moved back to keep her out of sight. The nightgown is then phased off her. And then Kitty turns away to hide her face and phases herself and the nightgown, but not her costume. The costume falls to the ground without a tangible body in it. Kitty pulls the nightgown over her head, musses up her hair so it'll help cover her face, and hangs her head after giving Carrie a nod to continue.

Shredder has posed:
The woman is completely unable to resist, hardly atheletic, and has probably never been in a fight in her life. Katie's arm's flail, crying desperately. "No! Let me go! Please don't hurt me!" She's clearly terrified, and Pete looks confused, following after. "Thought we were gonna whack her and then take her out?" he asks, glancing to Annie for support. Nonetheless, he takes Carrie's lead as the two follow.
Annie comments, "Carrie seems to know what she's doin' Pete, just roll with it, no time to screw this up now!"
Katie begs as she reaches the out doors, not shutting her mouth as instructed. "Take everything! You can have everything, just leave me alone I don't want to die!" She's sobbing uncontrollably, completely unprepared for this situation.

A moment later Pete exits suddenly finding himself yanked upward and upside down. "What the helllll!" he exclaims, limbs waving wildly.

Annie is distracted as she rushes out afterward, and into a punch to the face. "Ow sh-"she doesn't get to finish the impact, taking the hit to the chest and falling into a nearby shrub, dazed.

"Oh no," Katie starts to cry, then attempts to stifle her sobs as she't told to be silent. She's shocked to find herself sans clothing, and instantly moves to cover up, "What?" she glances around at the house as she's led back inside. Bewilderment. Utter bewilderment.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley holds her breath when the smoke pellets come in. Better not to inhale that if she could. When she hears Kitty's voice a small nod is given. "Great timing," she whispers to the hero swapping out. Then she waits for Kitty to make her change, and continues along. Faux stumbling out of the house, coughing against the smoke, Carrie tucks her head down to 'drag' the diguised Kitty down to the car. "What? No you want a dead body bleeding out in your car? Surefire way to get caught!" She tells Pete just before he gets ganked by an upside down Robin.

"Shit! You were way too loud! It's the Batman!" Or his cronies. She plays it up though.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
With Pete dangling upside down, Damian lands, approaching Carrie, and Kitty. The smoke pellets allowed for some cover while Pete heard what was going on.

He aimed for parts of the body not vital, enough to bruise and bandage up for later. "Hit me, make it loud." He says in a low tone, barely louder than a whisper.

In the meantime he tossed down a birdarang, clanking down hard on the concrete. "Take Bird and do what you need. Bird will rendezvous with me at location Alpha. You better make this worthwhile." He then slugged his face, making it bloody after taking hits from Carrie. Once the smoke cleared, Robin had bled on the ground and was lying face first on the concrete.

Shadowcat has posed:
As Kitty stands by as the victim, Carrie gives Damian a few good welts to sell the story, the sound of her hitting him audible through the smoke. Kitty flashes a thumbs up towards Robin at the instructions.

The birdarang gets hefted by Carrie and she cuts down her accomplice from where he hangs. "Fast, before he recovers!" she says, trustling the victim ahead of her as fast as the stumbling woman can go, her hair falling in front of her face, obscuring her appearance further.

Kitty is locked in a trunk and the redhead gets back behind the wheel, ready to take off as soon as her accomplices make it to the car.

Shredder has posed:
Pete scrambles, landing on his head as he is cut free. At least it wasn't anything he was using. Annie struggles to free herself from the bush, "Wait!" She calls out. "Whoa, did you just bea up?" she glances back at Robin on the ground. "Shit girl! Some kinda super mastermind ninja!" She waggles a run back, arms out to the side as she opens the back door, piling in the back as Pete piles into the front.
    "Drive Carrie!" Annie exclaims.
Pete fumbles with the keys, "Oh yeah, keys!" he stuffs his hand into his pocket, pulling them out and then passing them desperately to Carrie. "Let's get out of here before the Batman wakes up!" He didn't look, but it's a superhero, close enough. They'd all be able to take him down, and he knows it.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Once the group flees, Robin stands, tsking once again. "TT, imbeciles." His face was still bloody, and he stepped with just a slight limp.

Looking for the switched victim, he extracts money from his belt, and hands it over. "You need a vacation. Two or three weeks, should be enough. Go tonight, get out of Gotham." He tapped his gauntlet computer, calling his Redbird, a quick route to the rendezvous. "For the next few weeks, you're dead." He says, looking back at Katie.

Shadowcat has posed:
Blackbird's costume is there on the floor for collection.

Blackbird? She's in the trunk, hands having been quickly tied for appearances. The car bounces her about as Carrie drives it quickly to get away from the scene of the crime. Carrie tells Pete and Annie, "I just went to town. I thought you guys must have got in a shot or two as well, gave me a chance to get the jump on him," she says. If they choose to let their egos buy into that version, it sounds even more realistic that the three of them together managed the victory.

"We can't hang onto this lady long though. We need to dump her and dump the car fast. I don't know if he got the license plate or anything," Carrie says. "What do you think, dump her in a deep part of the sewer? Tie a weight to her legs?"

Shredder has posed:
Katie took the opportunity to rush to trab a bathrobe to keep herself decent, pulling it on as Robin enters the room. "I don't understand," she says, "What's happening? I was just sitting at home, and suddenly people were breaking into my home!" She looks rather shell shocked by the last few minutes' events. She receives the money absently. "My office, I can't believe this. I worked for them for years. They said to keep my mouth shut, I said I couldn't. I thought...I thought they might fire me, but...I never imagined...this!"

"Good," Pete nods. "Yeah, tie a weight, make sure she sinks to the bottom," he agrees. "Like shit and stuff, it'll make you decompose fast, too, I heard that somewhere." He nods over his shoulder back at Annie.
"Yeah, I think he's right," Annie confirms. "And Carrie, I think we should follow you instead of Jack," she says. "Like, Jack's a cool guy, but he's an idiot. We'll go way farther with you at the wheel."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Robin steps in, gently. "Get a new one, when you get back. Your cell phone, get rid of it." He opens another pocket of his utility belt and hands over what looks like a piece of tempered glass, but soon illuminates with a Stark Fujikawa logo. "A burner. Contact GCPD after you get back, and be the state's witness in court. They'll protect you."

Once the Redbird arrives outside the home, Robin makes for the door. "Remember. For the next three weeks, you're dead. Leave now, take only one set of clothes, buy what you need with cash only. No cards, they'll track you if you leave a paper trail."

"Now, I need to know what you know." He asks, crossing his arms.

Shadowcat has posed:
Carrie chews her lip as she considers throwing Kitty into the sewer. Oh she's going to pay for that one. She looks over to Pete and Annie and smiles at them. "Well, we make a good team," she says, offering them both fist bumps.

Carrie takes a few turns, then finally one to take them down by the harbor. She looks in the rear view mirror a few times. "I thought I saw a car way back without headlights. Think they are gone now though," she says. "Maybe we shouldn't wait to get to the sewers. The harbor's right here. SHould be deep enough," she says.

If they agree, she drives the car over to the water's edge somewhere without anyone visible in the area, and no likely cameras. "Pete, go check that junk over there, see if there's a cement block or something else heavy," she says. Carrie opens up the trunk, getting Kitty out and closing it quickly so there isn't a lot of light to help them notice the switch of victims.

Shredder has posed:
Katie takes the phone, knitting her brow. She nods, absently, and looks back at him. "The False Face Society," she says, "They were planning to buy out my company. TrioTech, we work in tracking software. But, they are crooks, I'd heard about them," she says. "Told my boss that they weren't legitimate. Their Tax ID was no good, Background checks had weird flags on them. He said not to worry about it." She moves the burner phone from one hand to the other as she speaks.
"I told him I couldn't stand by, I'd tell HR what was happening. He said I needed to drop it. But I just couldn't. I knew something was wrong." She shakes a little. "I never thought...this. They have connections all over town now. Big connections. I don't know what's going on, but...it's something. Young man, you probably don't want to get involved in this," she cautions. "It's the mistake I made.

Meanwhile, Pete smiles happily at Carrie's praise, returning the fistbump, as does Annie. "Yeah, he agrees. Yeah we will."

When they reach the docks, he manages to find a metal wheel well. "Hey, this looks good, right?" he comments, oblivious to the switch. Annie runs across the rocks. "Yeah, we can use that I bet," she agrees, watching him lug the metal car part. She moves to the trash, and finds a discarded piece of yellow nylon rope, frayed, but sufficient for the purpose. "Here, we can tie her up with this. Just gotta kill her now," she announces. "Would be terrible to make her drown, y'know? Kinda cruel."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian listens to Katie's story, then he holds his hand to his ear. "Robin to Base. I need research on False Face Society."

In regards to Katie, Robin shrugs. "The R doesn't stand for Recreant." Robin notes, then he sees the autonomous electric motorcycle stop in front of the home. "Remember, you are dead. If you want to live, you need to disappear until we can take these people down." Once he's got the info he needs, he gets on the Redbird and zooms off to the rendezvous. There will be more looked into this False Face Society, that's for sure.

Shadowcat has posed:
Carrie is only encouraging smiles for her cadre of miscreants as they find something heavy, and something to tie the metal to their victim with. She's found something to stuff in Kitty's mouth as a gag so Kitty won't have to try to plead like Katie did. Kitty's head hangs forward, the brown hair obscuring her face and casting shadows in what is already a dark night.

"I always heard drowning was a peaceful way to go. It's like holding your breath, but once you give in then you feel comfortable because your lungs are drawing something in," Carrie says. She looks over at the victim as they tie the heavy object to her. "I think bashing her would be more cruel."

Carrie pauses just a moment as if in thought. "We'll go with drowning," she says decisively and then pushes their victim off into the harbor. There is a small splash and then the woman is gone beneath the deep dark water.

Shredder has posed:
There is naturally a good bit of research to be had on the False Face Society. Black Mask and his organization have been very busy as of late, but what makes them want to try to acquire a tech company? It seems outside of their normal sphere. Perhaps more investigation will be in order.

Pete and Annie shrug to one another, as they help prepare the fake victim. They watch as the woman is tugged off into the dark waters, and sigh.
"I hope they don't ask us to do this too often," Annie remarks. "I think I wanna go back home."
Pete nods in agreement. "Yeah," he says. "You're stone cold, Carrie. Don't think we coulda done this without you." They are lowlifes. They are thugs. They have mugged people, they have shoplifted, and done many other crimes. But it doesn't take a psychologist to know that this is far beyond their realm. They are small fish, and they have found themselves in a big ocean.
