Profile

Xori appears to be a typical girl in her late teens. She has a penchant for roleplay, cosplay, swordplay, and all things geek. But there is always an angle. Always a hidden agenda. And always a darker flipside to her coin. Cursed in her own realm, she has escaped, only to find that the curse that held her has pursued her to her new home. Still others have preceded her. They have made the Earth a den of filth and villainy. It's time to clean house.

Description

In her human form, Xoriah appears to be about four feet, five inches tall, and has a thin but toned build. Her long, lustrous cascade of waves is most often a golden blonde, the colour of summer wheat. Her eyes change colours, but are most often a shade of hazel, somewhere between green and brown. They change at will. Her features are petite and feminine, and her gaze is cloudy and sometimes detached. She appears to be late-teens, and she usually wears fitted and perfectly tailored clothing with fluttery flourishes, to accent her pleasing curves.

In her natural form, however, Xoriah's eyes shine in a golden light, and her waves are nightshade green. She has delicate wings resembling green vellum, and dusky violet curved horns that sprout from her temples, curling in the style of a ram. Her spaded tail is thin and prehensile, in the same dusky shade of violet as her horns. This form is somewhat more voluptuous and curvy than her human form.

In short, Xoriah's body was created to please.

History

Xoriah's exact age and origin are unknown, even to the greater daemon Ae'zaloth, who cursed and enslaved her for more than a millennium. Binding the soul and energy of Xoriah to the blade of an arcane sword, Ae'zaloth attempted to break Xoriah to his will. Slave to the blade, she became slave to the bladeholder. Her will to serve and obey the one who possessed the blade was almost infinite. Almost. The curse notwithstanding, Xoriah remained strong. She was given only that which she needed to survive, and nothing more. Tortured, humiliated and isolated, she plotted her escape for decades, until the moment came that she stole her soulsword from his chambers and fled. With her limited arcane magic, having practiced for centuries in private, she created a portal to anywhere. And that anywhere was Earth.

Here, Xoriah learned that she could not long endure possession of her soulsword, and she could not lift it in battle. Bound as it was to her, it siphoned her spirit, her energy, and her will, and would surely kill her if she did not find another to keep it. For centuries since her arrival, she has given the sword to one after another, each of whom she has entrusted with its safekeeping, only to find that it has corrupted them, and she must steal it and take flight yet again.

But Xoriah is not the only of her kind to have come to Earth. And she was not the only one to come through the very portal she created. Rumours of Ae'zaloth have blown upon the wind for centuries. Daemons, greater and lesser, have taken up residence among the people of Earth. Their influence is seen in the sin and filth that has become a plague upon the world. Pollution, war, strife, terrorism, and hate are all testimony to their presence. It has become Xoriah's personal crusade to end their reign on Earth, and make safe her home, and the homes of those for whom she holds affinity. %r%rXoriah has taken up the mantle of a vigilante, but she is quickly finding that to put an end to Greater Daemonkind, she must begin with the villainy that they have spawned. Kill enough pawns, and you'll find their king.

Personality

Xoriah seems to be a typical girl in her late teens. She has a penchant for roleplay, cosplay, swordplay, and all things geek. But there is always an angle. Always a hidden agenda. And always a darker flipside to her coin. As a lesser daemon, Xoriah has relatively little ability to display compassion or empathy. It can cause her to seem uncaring at times, because...well, she is. She has learned to identify the hallmarks of pain in those for whom she has an affinity (or the one who holds her sword), and her desire to make sure they are content will urge her to action in that regard.

Abilities

MINOR SHAPESHIFTING
As a tool of survival, Xoriah can shapeshift, to some extent. Her size must remain approximately the same. It is easier to maintain human form than any other form that she can assume. Maintaining any form other than her natural form requires energy and stamina.

NEAR IMMORTALITY
Xoriah has been around for millennia. She will probably be around for many more. Unless something seriously screws up that plan.

SEDUCTION
This is the only skill that Xoriah wields that is only effective against humankind. As a Succubus, she can use seduction as an attempt to gain power and energy in the Earthen Realm. Or really...attempt to gain anything else that she wants. Other succubi or incubi are impervious to this skill, as they too must seek a source of power. Greater Daemonkind are impervious because they are just too intelligent and powerful to be affected by her mind, unless they are willing.

Consent Based Power:
- Due to the nature of this power, PC on PC use requires the consent of the
player that it is being used on.
- Judges in a scene can decide the effectiveness of this power for the scene.
- Please page the Player with any questions regarding this power and its use.

STRENGTH AND DEXTERITY
As a lesser daemon, Xoriah is stronger and faster than normal humans. She is also stronger and faster than many metahumans.

Skills

ARCANE MAGIC
As a lesser daemon, Xoriah can cast low to moderate spells to strengthen herself, and to weaken her foe. Offensive spells are meant to wither the corporeal body, disorient the target, and drain strength and energy. She can also create temporary illusions not unlike those created by telepaths. She cannot indefinitely maintain these illusions. Spells can affect humankind and daemons, but she cannot affect the mental strength of greater daemons, or fool them with illusions. She cannot heal or be healed by magic. And she will take more magic damage from a greater daemon than they take from her.

SWORDSMANSHIP
Xoriah's skill in swordsmanship is among the best in the world, against normal humans. Due to extensive training, this is also her most effective skill when pitted against Greater Daemonkind. As long as she's carrying a sword on her when the fight breaks out. (Spoiler: She usually is.)

Resources

A ROLLING STONE
Due to Xoriah's restless cat and mouse game with the daemon Ae'zaloth, she travels light, and often leaves possessions behind. She has substantial funds, due to her countless years on Earth (and many suitors who were only too happy to donate to her "Save Xori" fund, whether willingly or unwittingly, she never lacks for comfort, transportation, or anything else her little heart desires.

Weaknesses

HUMAN FRAILTY
Xoriah cannot use magic if she is in any form other than her natural form (Succubus). This includes even human form, as she cannot focus her mental acuity on magic, if she is maintaining another form. It is not uncommon for her to instantly drop any shapeshifted disguise if truly threatened.

OUT OF STAMINA!
If Xoriah is maintaining any form other than her natural form, she is expending energy to do so. If she is using more than she is taking in, then she will eventually weaken. This can affect her ability to fight, or even run. This becomes extremely relevant in battle, as she will have to drop her disguise in order to be effective.

SLAVE TO THE BLADE
Whoever holds Xoriah's Soulsword, holds Xoriah. She is cursed, in that she cannot wield this blade herself, and she cannot long possess it, as it siphons her energy, and she would eventually die, being unable to replenish it as quickly as it is stolen. But as she is bound to the sword, this makes her vulnerable to whomever possesses the blade, as it was the means by which the greater daemon Ae'zaloth originally enslaved her. She must be ready and able to steal the blade and place it with a new guardian, as its power can corrupt even the most trusted of allies.

THAT'S COLD!
