- Polaris has posed:
Another day, another life. Looks like no matter how hard she tries, she always ends up back here at the mansion. Lorna is looking a bit girlies as she sits at the table, distractedly munching on a sandwich. Oh and she has what looks like one of those dreaded mutant collars clasped around the neck...
What the heck is that about??
- Rogue has posed:
If ever someone was going to be casually wearing one of those collars? Well, generally it would actually be Rogue. The eventual headaches and lack of strength or flight were sometimes worth not killing someone by accidental skin contact. Still, she moves out into the kitchen space, her brunette and white-streaked hair hanging down and free as she moves towards the cupboards only to pause and blink.
"Interestin' choice of jewelry."
- Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane stares at her sandwich a long time..Looks like she's only taken a bite or two at mist. It takes a somewhat familiar voice to snap her out of her revere and she blinks a couple of times, peering up at Rogue.
"Oh...Hi." she offers a weak smile, sighs and shrugs, "long story, a vampire tried to mind control me, I started to act..Not myself.."
She sighs, defeated. "Havok doesn't trust me I guess, not until both a psychic and mystic check me out..Although I think that weird chaos magic from the demon attack a couple months ago most likely broke the bond between me and the vampire..But.."
Another defeated shrug. "You know how it is, I've had enough possessions to last a lifetime."
She peers back at Rogue, eager for something wise to focus on. "So what's new with you?"
- Rogue has posed:
"Mind control and vampires...Is it where that I know exactly what that's like?" Rogue questions, her accented tones carrying that same humor to them before she makes to settle down at a table, a mug of newly poured coffee in her hand and a shrug of her partially bared shoulders. "Same ol' I guess. Went to buy pizza for the kids here, ended up running into the FoH...it ended the way it normally does, but there's always more idiots out there."
- Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane laughs, waving her hand, dismissively, "Oh, the usual lunacy that surrounds me...Just wish I could avoid it.." she frowns at mention of FoH. "I hope they didn't give you a hard time..?"
- Rogue has posed:
"Naaw," the Southern Belle muses with a dismissive wave of her own at the mention of the FoH. Still, talk of lunacy brings an outright laugh and shake of her head from Rogue. "Hell sugah, you're in the wrong house for that. Lunacy follows us all around like white on rice."
- Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane smirks and shrugs, "yeah, sounds about right but...I'm tired of this, it's like I have a big sign on my head saying, 'free body to possess'"
She stares at her sandwich again, deciding all this negative talk is making her hungry and she takes several more bites this time.
"I suppose I am not as strong as I thought, and that is horrifying..I guess no one would dare to mess with Rogue though.." she chuckles a bit, not surprised she sent them packing.
- Rogue has posed:
"Darlin', you're talkin to someone who's been on the wrong end of mind control, manipulation, hypnosis...that one time the sentient robot hivemind aliens tried to convert me into one of them..." she counts off on her fingers, shaking her head. "We all get messed up now and then. That's why we're all part of the team, to have each other's backs 'n handle stuff we couldn't alone."
- Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane nods slowly, "True...Although I imagine it's harder to control your mind..Perhaps I need extra training in mental defences, mystical even.." which gives her some ideas.
"Oh that reminds me, have you seen magneto around lately?"
- Rogue has posed:
"Eric?" Rogue repeats before blinking. When had she become more informal. "I mean, not for a little bit. But yeah, maybe he has the right idea, wearing the helmet with the telepathy protection does sound good. Still, probably messess up my hair."
