Bloodwork or Bludverk muhahahaha
Date of Scene: 02 June 2024
Location: Medical Lab - X-Men Base
Synopsis: lots of blud
Cast of Characters: Havok, Polaris

Havok has posed:
After the long hot shower, dressing, fooding, beering, reaching out to Beast/Hank to ensure that they're welcome and he's ready to see Lorna, etc; the duo made their way down to Alex's Jeep and piled in. The ride would take about an hour and fifteen minutes, plenty of time to talk and consider, or reconsider what they're in the process of doing.

The turnpike over Morningside Heights - Alex finally has the peace/piece of mind to say, "I was really worried about you. How in the world did you go a week without reaching out? Getting home? Using a pay phone. What happened while you were gone all that time? It was way worse then when you were held by Malice... At least then, I knew what was up - kinda." He reaches over to take her hand.
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane is pretty quiet most of the trip. She seems tense, thinking through a lot of things..It's been a rough few months.

His question only has her even more on edge, looking back from the window that she's been staring out in silence for the first leg of the trip.

"Alex..I didn't have much choice. The moment I received a call that seemed like it was from a friend and I came out there, I didn't have time to call for backup much more than the distress signal I sent to you and the Xmen before she knocked me out and took my phone away. The next several days were a blur that I'm trying to figure out. For all I know she had my phone and either sent out fake texts to you or made it look like I was ignoring you. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened.."
Havok has posed:
Alex sighs, concerned, annoyed by the situation, and not offering the tone of blame. He nods and gives a gentle squeeze with his warm grasp. He doesn't want to dwell or harp on the situation. He's been in her place before. It sucked for all parties concerned. Oh, and then there was the Genosha Magistrates thing where nobody knew where anyone was. All in the past.

He says, "Well, one answer at a time. Oh, and I called Hank. He said he'd be ready for us when we got there. To come straight in and down. That the access code will allow us into the medical center underground."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane visibly relaxes at the touch and nods, smiling faintly. "Thanks, I appreciate that..Things have been weird, what with this crazy vampire chick trying to take over my life, plus Magneto trying to train me to become a proper princess of Genosha, pushing me to recruit more people for the brotherhood and all that crazy stuff about some order trying to raise apocalypse.." of course there was the recent attack on Genosha too which was pretty crazy.

"So how did Hank take things?"
Havok has posed:
"He seemed worried.", Alex notes with a reflective pitch to his tone. "He's aware of all that other stuff going on and he made mention that the whole Dracula thing is way more dangerous than we know."

They get out of the city proper and start moving into the sizeable Westchester County. Still, with a good 30 minutes left on their trip.

He continues, "He didn't go into details or anything, but he said that he'd get to the bottom of what's going on with you - if there is anything going on."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane nods, a small smile tugging at her lips and she gives his hand a squeeze. "Glad to hear Hank at least us in his right mind, not sure about Scott and Jean..No offense." she adds that last kart quickly even though she knows the brothers are often at odd. But family is family afterall.

"I think Emma, Rogue and Logan were there rescuing people from Dracula and.." she scoffs. "Magnetrix." shaking her head she drums her fingers on the window frame thoughtfully.

"I doubt they were able to defeat him but with any luck he now knows to stay away from Westchester County at least. I'm sure they would have an update on the situation.,"
Havok has posed:
"Oh, I just realized. It's summertime. The students shouldn't be around. That's like win-win that we won't have to deal with them, too." Alex says in a lighter, more upbeat tone of relief and glee. He knows it's a school, but he also knows that the students are often, and create some of the biggest issues that the school has. He likes kids. He just doesn't like unruly kids that don't follow rules. Rules that are set to protect them - and the school.

He releases her hand and puts it back on the wheel as he changes lanes.
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane chuckles and nods, "One less thing to worry about..But why on earth did they welcome Juggernaut of all people back to the school? Especially after he put a member of the Justice League in the hospital recently? I mean I suppose I of all people should understand forgive and forget..But he has openly stated that he is a mercenary and he will not back off if his goals clash with those of the Xmen.."she sighs, "I did warn Magneto who himself hired him out for the muscle..But everyone seems to think he can be trusted. I do not. His ' loyalty' will always go to the highest bidder."
Havok has posed:
"I've never been on board with Emma being in the school's walls. And I put both her and Juggernaut in the same dangerous boat. They simply have different tactics and means. But it's not much different than when we had to work with the Brotherhood, sorry, ex Freedom Force, back in X-Factor. They're just a bunch of self-serving individuals who don't care about rules, morality, and loyalty. At least when you and I were so-called criminals, we were doing it for the right reasons - often pro mutant or at least we weren't in control of our own faculties. So no, we're not in the same boat as Cain, Emma, or any of those Brotherhood people. At least your father has some code he lives by... the others, nope."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane chuckles and shrugs, "Seems Emma has turned over a new leaf although I hear her and Firestar are still at odds. But you're probably right, she's hardly honourable or reliable." she bites her lip, considering the Brotherhood, and her father. "Well, now that Magneto is trying to revive the Brotherhood, I wonder if things have changed? He may have his own code to live by but lately, he's more concerned with protecting his mutants in Genosha..Would it really be so bad if we supported his cause..?"
