There are outdoor kitchens, offering delectable bites and libations, dozens of world-renowed topiaries, breathtaking garden spaces and wildlife habitats, a stage for an outdoor concert, which happens after the sun goes down, since pyrotechnics are part of the show.<br><br> Walking through the area, one's senses are treated to a veritable array of captivating experiences and vibrant displays, be they botanical in nature, or otherwise. Although it certainly started with an emphasis on the flower and garden aspects, overtime, the festival has grown to become something of a spectacle, which would last for three months. People keep coming because new displays and attractions open all the time, some from Canada, but most from beyond.<br><br> Everyone wants to show whatever makes their area unique, so besides the flowers, there's food, drinks, alcoholic for those who can, and non-alcoholic for the rest, although the portions are rather small. With so much to see and do, people can return to the festival again and again to uncover something new each and every time.<br><br> Today, Chris Powell finds himself up in Pennytown, wishing he had worn something other than white trainers with the way it had rained recently, and the grass was a bit wet. Thankfully, there were pathways, but not every area had one. He wore navy blue cargo shorts, exposing his legs, which were embarrassingly white. The guy had to get out more, to get a tan, but at least he was out today, trying to work on it.<br><br> Above this, he had on a white Vancouver Whitecaps FC shirt, which was a bit sacrilegious, given that he was from Starling and should be supporting Starling Royals AFC, but he had been part of the Whitecaps youth academy when he was younger, and a lifelong support had come of it.<br> <br> <br>

It was one of the first times her adoptive parents took her to a large public event, after much training in how to properly conduct herself. That was many years ago now. Each year, she would attend the festival now with or without her parents. It was a nostalgic yet at the same time it had it's own appeal. The wide array of sensory stimuli was amazing. Particularly the food. She did love good food.<br><br>Today was without her parents. They even let her borrow the car so she didn't travel in her preferred method. Additionally, she had a pocketful of money so that she could partake of the culinary array while wandering through the various displays. She'd opted for jeans though, with a comfortable blue t-shirt which had a logo on it for Riverdale High. A pair of short black boots covered her feet, well prepared for the possibly soggy conditions. Her brown hair was pulled back into a pony tail, glasses fimly in place since today she was Kara Danvers and not her alter ego.<br><br>She was standing in line at a booth boasting the "Best Potstickers in the World". It helps that Veronica has a driver to help shuttle them all back and forth as she pleases. Of course a gaggle of teenage girls can hit a food stand like a whirlwind, so they've been moving from stand to stand for a bit, sampling all the different foods, and currently find themselves shuffling into the line to try a potsticker. A World's Best Potsticker to be exact. There's a buzz of conversation amongst them as they all chatter around at eachother. Veronica steps slightly away from the group though, slipping free of the conversation and pulling out her phone to check it. There's a slight frown before it's tucked back into her purse, which is then shouldered once more. She doesn't immediately rejoin the others either, she takes the moment to center herself and simply let her eyes wander around the area, looking at stands and decorations without the constant feed of input from the other highschoolers with her. They continue to chatter along behind her though, only a few feet away really. Veronica is dressed in a simple black dress, well simple in appearance, though the cut and material are far from simple, as it's custom tailored to fit her. It comes down almost to her knees. Black leggings underneath, and a dark blue crushed velvet half jacket are also worn.<br> <br>

They weren't all drop dead gorgeous, but many of them were, a few of them even members of the Riverdale Vixens. He didn't even like the sport, but a few of his friends had suggested he try out, and he had earned himself a position as a receiver. She gives a bright smile and wave in their direction since she knows a few of them from the Vixens. Not really personally. You don't need to know who they're making fun of to enjoy the jokes. But Top Gun, it has good guys in action poses, delivering snappy 80s one liners, blowing stuff up, but also romance, that love scene, the shirtless guys playing volleyball, plenty for everyone in Top Gun, and who doesn't like to laugh at Hot Shots?
