Uuuunngghhhh.<br><br>Peter Quill had a raging headache, and then there were the lights! Those Awful, awful lights!<br><br>Oh, wait. Those are just stars.<br><br>Floating. From being hit in the head.<br><br>It came back to him all at once. The bar, the bounty hunters, the shoot-out. Being shot in the face as he was about to get away. Shot in the face? No wonder he felt like his head was about to explode.<br><br>Looking around, he was on a prison barge. No doubt about it, this was a cell. A bounty hunters private collection. Probably a guild ship.<br><br>Sitting up on his bed, the first thing that struck Peter was how... quiet... everything was. Was everyone else in a mess hall? One look around dispelled that theory; there was a Kree in his cell as his cellmate, and he was sleeping. Then, he noticed the lighting was very dim. Sleepytime.<br><br>"Pssst. Hey. Are you awake sleeping beauty?" Peter prodded the Kree man verbally, just loud enough to be heard. Didn't want to wake him up and get into a fight, after all.<br><br>"Go away, human." The gruff Kree voice gave in reply.<br><br>"Uh... I'd love to, but there's a nice heavy force field in my way. Anything you can do about that?" Peter replied, with both amusement and hope.<br><br>"No. Go away."<br><br>"So, what're you in for?" Peter asked, conversationally. The Kree man grunted, then, "I'll tell you in the morning, if you promise to go away." Peter gave him a million unit smile. Was he even looking Peters way? "Sure thing, buddy. I just woke up here, and wanted to get to know my neighbor is all."<br><br>Peter had a very, very restless night.<br><br>Were the rest of the gang fine? He couldn't get off a warning in time, so there was chance they got hit too.<br><br>Luckily, the next morning dispelled that notion too, with the guard coming, "Star-Lord, you're awake! Good. If you give us the rest of your buddies, I might be able to convince the association to release you as a favor in return." Peter sighed, "No thanks, I'm good." "Suit yourself."<br><br>The Kree man in his cell had been watching the exchange, "Star-Lord. You are the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy?" Peter once again gave that million unit smile, "Sure am, buddy. Who wants to know?"<br><br>A long moment passed, the muscular Kree "Hac-Garr." His eyes look over Peter, "Your people will probably try to rescue you, yes?" Peter shrugs, "Maybe, maybe not. What's it to you?" Hac-Garr grunted, "I have a proposition for you, if you manage to get out of here." Peter squinted at him, "I'm listening..."
