Since we do not want a player to have spent a lot of time, sweat and tears building this character for us to simply decline the concept, we are asking that players send in a request in the apps category giving us an "elevator pitch" for problematic characters or concepts. We trust you to use your best judgement on whether or not it would benefit from this. Send us a short description of your idea, what you are looking for in your concept, and how you think it fits into the game. Explain your concept in a way such that any listener can understand it in a short period of time (20 to 30 seconds). That's all.

For feature characters, if the character has never been played on the game before, it would always be best to send in a job or speak to an on duty member of staff via page or the Consultation channel to confirm the character can be played. By asking staff before you write the full application, you may save yourself disappointment if the character is deemed unplayable for our game.
For any original character or new canon character, the Pitch is a requirement. On game, we try to maintain a balance for characters so that no one character overpowers all others to the point of not being playable in a cooperative storytelling environment. As such, there are times when a character does not fit into the world as we envision it. Sometimes this can be fixed through modifications suggested by staff and compromise as necessary by the player. We will address this for both feature characters (those found in the source materials approved for the game) and original characters (OCs) alike.

Sadly, sometimes a concept simply won't work on game. Since we do not want a player to have spent a lot of time, sweat and tears building this character for us to simply decline the concept, we require that players seeking an Original Character to send in a request in the Pitch category giving us an overview on the character. Send us a short description of your idea, what you are looking for in your concept, and how you think it fits into the game. Explain your concept in a way such that any listener can understand it in a short period of time. That's all.

For an original character, we would like an idea of what sort of power set (general terms, not a novella), personality, and brief history you intend for the character. We would also like an idea of where you see them fitting into the game. Then we can approve or open a dialogue for how the character might better fit.

For canon characters (those found in our source theme materials), if the character has never been played on the game before, a pitch is also required to confirm the character can be played. Most of them will be simple enough while some characters will be high powered, obscure, or require a lot more history than has passed on the game for their existence.

For any original character or new canon character, the Pitch is a requirement. If you do not send in a pitch before sending in a full application for review, you will be automatically removed from the jobs list and asked to send in a pitch for approval before we can proceed. For any previously played canon character, a pitch will be required if you wish to change them drastically from what was played previously on our game.

Once a pitch is approved, you can move to the application process. Please remember to include the Job number from the approved pitch in your App Job. (+help +request)
