Cast of Characters: Rogue, Shadowcat, Blink

Rogue has posed:
Its Saturday night, and Rogue is where she has been most weekends. With her ornery friends down in salem Center, at their store... the Music Center. Its owned by the 30 year old guy who's usually behind the counter, but he employs his two brothers and one of their friends, and they often have friends or girlfriends over as well. Rogue mingles with all of them and is just 'one of their gang' at this point.

Live music is often played on the weekends on the stage in the far back corner and in front of that stage is a small lounge area with sofas and sofa chairs, some coffee tables and wide variety of food almost all the time.

Tonight the live act is just a single loen woman up on stage sitting on a stool playing a guitar with some light tunes. Its a casual setting, she has one of those smoky voices that you just get lost inside of.

Rogue, had been over watching the show and interacting with the fifteen or twenty people gathered around there, but right now she's over by the front door and the counter talking to the owner behind the counter. She's joking with him about the bear they 'fought' earlier in the week. Thats another long story though!

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty finishes up the pizza slice that she took with her to go when she and Blink left the Pizza Joint. She dusts her hands off and says, "Not sure if they want food or drink in there," she says, "with all the instruments around. But, good chance of catching Rogue here on a weekend."

She swings the door open to the music center and steps inside. "I've been thinking about picking up something to start learning. Never really spent much time at music. Other than dancing to it. It might be nice to be able to be on the other side of it," she says with a small grin.

Kitty's dressed up just a little, nice jeans and a black leather jacket, with a nice blouse and boots. She'd been going into town and asked Blink if she wanted to join her for pizza and then wander around and pick up some Hanukah, or Christmas, presents.

Blink has posed:
Blink had gone over to meet with Kitty, asking her where they could find the Belle..., as if phones weren't a thing in this era. But with someone used to teleporting about and not needing a phone when they want to talk with someone can anyone really blame her? And it was just as well that it matched them going to town for pizza and presents when she did. Some talks are better to have face-to-face.

Blink wanders along with Kitty inside the music center, hair still that scandalous purple but she has her contacts on. She looks almost normal, "Yes, I have never really had much time for it either. Hobbies, that is." she looks around the room, blinking once at the ambient, then smiling faintly. "We could form a band. I will be the drummer." her grin deepening.

Then she catches sight of Rogue and gestures her way. "Hey, there she is." then a wave to call her attention.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is wearing a dark blue denim jacket with a dark green scarf laying over her shoulders and draping down her chest, beneath the jacket she has a white sweater on and some dark gray jeans on her lower half with boots going up to her knees, heeled of course.

Rogue is laughing as the other two enter the store, her eyes on the guy behind the counter. "Oh yeah. We'll just paint the Bearvengers on the side'a the van." She's saying to the man who is smiling, smirking really at the younger girl.

"No no." He corrects her. "The B-Team. B for bear."

Rogue shakes her head at him and glances over at the door to see Clarice and Kitty stepping inside. "Oh hey!" She says to them, turning to face them. "What are you two up to?" The Belle moves to meet them. "Out doin' some shoppin'?"

Back in the far back corner of the store the music is still going on and there's definitely food and drink being passed around back there.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty unzips her jacket and pulls her gloves off, sticking them into her pockets. She laughs and tells Clarice, "You must live somewhere more forgiving than I, if you're able to practice drums there. I was considering a keyboard. Or maybe a banjo. And not sure I won't get some people banging on the apartment walls over those just the same."

She flashes a smile to Rogue, and one for the owner as well. She's been in there enough to recognize him at the least. Kitty tells Rogue, "Hey AM. Just left the Pizza Joint, thought we'd come stick our heads in and see if you're here," she says, walking over.

Kitty glances towards the woman on stage who is signing. "Ooo. She's good. Great voice. Friend of yours?" Kitty asks Rogue, though eyes going to the owner as well for an answer.

Blink has posed:
Blink is wearing a variation of her normal garb. Jeans, sturdy boots and a warm sweater on because, really, NYC weather... Oh, how she craves Genosha sometimes..., and then a coat over it all which she unzips as well, "Well, living in Genosha and knowing it like the back of my hand has it's perks... I have my places for solitude." she says with a bit of a wicked grin to Kitty, "But I dunno, I don't even know if I am any good. Though I don't think that's the point..."

Then her eyes are up on Rogue when she approaches, "Hey, great place this is. And yep, pizza and presents, that's what we had been doing, but it's been lacking on the christmas presents so far. It will get done in due time."

her eyes stray briefly to the stage, then back, "Though I am glad I could get you two together so we could talk." Bit of a more solemn expression on her face.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's eyes shoot back across the store to the stage in the back where the small gathering is enjoying the music and atmosphere back there. She grins, then looks back to Kitty and shakes her head, causing her white bangs to wave against the sides of her face. "Nah. She's one'a Eric's college friends, from Manhattan. On her way t'Philly, I think, just stoppin' here for the night." By Eric she probably doesn't mean the Magneto version.

At Blink, Rogue gives her a soft grin. "Talk huh? You gonna tell us that we're pregnant? I'm not sure I'm ready for that kinda committment, Clarice..." Rogue teases the other before she motions to a set of chairs and a table thats just beside the store's Christmas tree, which is brightly lit and set in front of the front window.

"Hopefully no snipers take any shots at me." Rogue cryptically quips as she steps over to those and settles into one of the comfy leather chairs.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty listens to the singer in the corner with the smoky voice, appreciative expression on her face. "Well, she's darn good. Hope she comes back through this way," Kitty says of the woman that Rogue said is passing through. Kitty nods to Blink and says, "Sure, we can talk," though she's already shaking her head and laughing at Rogue's comment.

Kitty pulls out some money, telling Rogue, "I thought we had the protection talk," along with a little bouncing index finger her direction. "Grab me a seat," Kitty says and then goes over to the stage to drop a $20 in the woman's tip jar. Kitty gives her a smile and wink and then turns to head back over to join her friends. She plops down into a chair, slouching and making a sound as if enjoying being off of her feet. "ok, what's up?" she asks Clarice.

Blink has posed:
The mention of an Eric makes Blink's attention perk up but.., there's more Eric's in the world! And if the Belle was mentioning Magneto she'd speak of him with a honorific..., right? With what she knows of Rogue, probably not... So she just smiles faintly, assuming it's some different one. "What, pregnant?" that jolts her a bit in place, "We have just started dat-- I mean, hey, stop teasing me." but she smiles in good humor to Rogue, shaking her head a bit to herself. She should know better by now!

But then they are off to sit, she finding a chair for herself, "Something that Rogue said the other day and mirrored some thoughts I had been having already, of going out there, being more heroic." she leans back on her chair, looking at each while speaking, "I am already doing what I can in Genosha, working with Lorna but .., I feel as if I could do more."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue settles in at the table and grins at Kitty. She watches her go and slip that money into the singer's pot and just softly shakes her head. The singer offers as much of a smile and a nod back to Kitty as she's able but then glances down and up again to continue singing her sultry song.

Over to Blink, Rogue looks while KItty's on her way back. "You wanna suit up then, huh?" Rogue asks in that sassy southern way of hers. "Are you lookin' t'go big time? Like tryin' throw your hat in with one of the major public teams, or what? Whats your style for that sorta thing?"

Leaning back in her chair, she glances out the front window as some people stroll on by, then looks back to Blink. "I've seen your powers first hand, many times now. You could save all kindsa people in trouble. So yeah, ya totally should."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde crosses her feet at the ankles, all nice and slouched like she has no bones in her upper body. "This is a comfortable chair," she mentions, wiggling a little bit to sink her ass down into the cushions good. She looks over to Clarice to listen to what she wanted to talk about.

"Hrm. Well, sounds like a worthy thing to me," Kitty says. She considers saying something else but knows the dig at the Brotherhood might not go over well with Clarice. And Kitty likes Clarice, even if Kitty's own past with the Brotherhood leaves her jaded on the subject of the group as a whole.

"You do have a really useful power," Kitty says in agreement. "And I've not really seen you put it to use for more than the basic travel sort of things. But I can imagine a lot of ways it could be helpful. Especially with a team."

Blink has posed:
"If I am going to suit up, I might as well go for the big leagues. I .., know my power is good, no matter how dangerous I also think it can be. And it's as you say, it can help a lot of people, mutants or not." Clarice replies to Rogue, nodding her head a bit, gaze straying briefly to the stage. "And having been on the Mansion a lot more as of late I have seen what you fight to protect, I want to be a part of that. People have been good to me here."

"I spoke with Lorna about it, she agrees that I should do so if that's my wish. To start making my own decisions at last." Clarice then looks over at Kitty, "And that's exactly why I am wanting to join up. To become more useful. Genosha is finally stable enough."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's eyes are on Clarice as she explains her feelings and desires about all of this, and they get a quick pair of nods in understanding. Its then that Rogue glances over to Kitty who gets a sly grin that is only growing bigger as Rogue looks past Kitty. "Heads up, Lover Girl." Rogue tells her oldest friend.

The music had ended a few moments ago, the singer on stage had smiled to the applauds and talked about taking a few minutes break. Now she was walking over toward the three of them, to Kitty specifically.

Rogue looks back to Clarice. "Well, would you like me to talk to Scott? I know you know enough about our operation that you probably are referring to it... in all its secret glory." She grins to Blink then. "I'm happy to express how impressed I am with what all you've done... cept that Moon job." Rogue's grin remains. "But I know, I know, that wasn't your fault. I'm just messin' with ya. I'm totally happy to make sure you get in on stuff more with us, if possible. You should go shmooze Ororo'n Jean too, for that matter."

The Singer, meanwhile, approaches Kitty and offers her a hand. "I'm Bekka. Thank you for the tip." She says to Pryde. "I was wondering if you'd like to go get a drink some time."

And that is what Kitty gets for winking at strangers!

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty nods in agreement with Rogue's assessment. "I'd be happy to say a good word for you as well," she offers to Clarice. "You've been nothing but helpful and and I don't think I've heard anyone say an unkind word. Which, given we're talking about a school with grumpy sorts like Logan, is REALLY saying something."

Kitty glances up as the singer comes over. Actually comes over to /her/ and not just to where the three women sit. Kitty rises up from her slouch to stand up and take the offered hand. "Hi Bekka," Kitty says with a smile, shaking the woman's hand. "I... um... that would be ok. I mean, nice," Kitty says, giving a soft little laugh. She does reach over with other hand for a moment to touch Bekka's hand she's shaking. Kitty looks down, Bekka's eyes following and noticing the ring on Kitty's finger.

Not on a ring finger, but it's design suggests something of why it's worn. Bekka just smiles and shrugs and says, "Still up for it if you are." Kitty grins and nods. "You bet. When you finish up then?"

Blink has posed:
"I thought the consensus was that we didn't speak of the moon job anymore, mmm?" Clarice murmurs.. Yes, it didn't go as planned! But noone plans solar flares! Not her at least. Where's Beast when we need someone intelligent to add to a talk?

"And yes, I am sure you are aware that I was, and still am, part of the Brotherhood too." Clarice addresses the elephant in the room, "Even if they haven't been active in a long while now. But thank you for your words of support. And yes, you aren't that secret to some and..., yea.., if you could speak to Scott that'd be great."

She then pauses on that topic when the singer approaches, glancing at the interaction, an owlish blink given, a look to Rogue and then to Kitty. She grins then. "Oh, my." not so innocent anymore that she can't understand what just went down!

Rogue has posed:
Rogue keeps her gaze on Blink while she overhears Bekka and Kitty which just makes her shake her head a little, in amusement though.

Bekka glances to the ring, then up to Kitty and just gives her a wicked grin. "Maybe. We'll have to tip a few back first, see how things go." She then glances to Rogue. "Marie, right?" She asks of the Southerner who now looks over to her and nods. "Josh was wanting to talk to you." She tells Rogue.

"Oh, yeah, I know. I'll go see him here in a few." Rogue says with a smile back to Bekka. "Watch out for her, she's trouble." She motions to Kitty with a grin.

But, Rogue ultimately looks back to Blink. "I didn't know you were still a contact for them, no. I mean, thats fine, I haven't heard of them bein' organized at all anymore. Last time I spoke t'Raven she left me with a dog, that I had to... give t'the heartbreaker here." And she makes a hand gesture to Kitty then.

"But yeah, I'll tell Scott that too. So its not like a revelation to him someday. I mean, I used t'be Brotherhood. I worked out! At least, I think I did..."
