An Educational Beast and a Learning Mouse

Synopsis:	Kaida meets Dr. McCoy who offers to help her out!

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A special guest speaker today had held the interest of a certain sneaking mouse. Kaida doesn't go to Colubmia University officially but she has been slipping in to take classes from various hiding spots. She is rushing along the ground, carefully slipping about to avoid detection but mainly to avoid causing issues. Finally, she finds the hall where the seminar will take place and slips up along the wall on to the top of a window eave and carefully lays out her small piece of paper and her piece of pencil lead. She smiles as she eagerly settles in, putting a small bag behind her, reaching back to grab out a peanut and she starts chewing happily away as she awaits the arrival of the special speaker.

Meanwhile, below her many students and a few faculty make their way to various seats to prepare to watch and take notes.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy finishes his talk, which is a mix of biochemistry, comments about mutants in society being entitled to the same protections as everyone else, and joke about how blue he is. Stepping off of the stage, some students mob him a bit. He signs books, exchanges comments, receives compliments, and makes his way to the back of the room. Right below the window where KAida is, it turns out, he bends down in front of a table, and gathers up a plate of snacks for himself.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
Listening raptly, Kaida has made a few notes and eyes the students out in the room jealously when they ask questions. She frowns a little but Dr. McCoy is of particular interest to the girl given his, well, being a large blue furry man thing. It kind of puts being a tiny mouse girl into perspective in a way. She watches him get food and then finally takes a breath and simply leaps down. She lands right by the plate of cheeses and meats and then holds up a hand, "Oye! Hey!" She calls and waves a hand wildly, "Do ye...have a moment?"

She then adds, "And before you say something, yes, I'm small and mouse like but ah am not a mouse! Well...sorta." Her accent rings of an Irish upbringing though has enough New Yorker in it to avoid too much of that with a hint of something else that's harder to parse amongst the mess that is her accent.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy notices a little creature jumping at the food! That won't do at all. "I don'tthink so," he says, as his hand flashes out, to catch the little mouse, balancing his plate of food in his free hand with ease. "So what... wait. You talk. Oh... Yes, I do have a moment. Come with me." Holding his hand open flat, he walks off, thanking people as he goes by, and stepping backstage, away from the crowd, where it's quiet.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A blink and she lets out a surprised little sound as she is caught. She is sure glad to say that she isn't rushed or something by the large blue man. She nods as she carefully balances and holds her notes to herself as well as her bag. She watches as she is carried past people who seem to wonder what it is Dr. McCoy caught but don't put much thought into it. He obviously stopped something from getting on the food table and is taking care of it. Once they are back there though, she lets out a quick breath and then says, "Umm...ok. Thanks for not crushing me."

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy laughs, as he very carefully puts the mouse down on a table, and then takes a seat, starting in on his finger food from the paper plate. "Not my style. Gotta be careful around food. I take it you're a mutant?"

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A shrug, "I guess." She states from her spot down on the table. A little shrug and she idly places her hand on her hips, one hand resting on the pommel of her blade, "I really don't know. For all I know I'm cursed or something." She chuckles, "I mean, being this small isn't exactly a great thing." She nods and then she points up at him, "I was interested in your talk about metabolism but the part that made me very interested was how the X-Gene can cause an exotic protein stand to filter into the blood stream and flow throughout the body at a heightened rate and cause a massive and immediate alteration to the subject that complete alters their make up." She gestures down to herself, "It's not dissimilar to the sudden transformation I was put under a couple of years ago and wished to know more about it." She nods her head, "To determine if it was what caused me to end up like this."

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy nods. "The X Gene can do a wide variety of things. If we understood it, the world would be a very different place. IF you'd like to know more about your situation, I can help you. I can actually take you to my personal lab and run some tests. When would be a good time for you?"

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A small shrug and the girl smiles, "I mean, any time." She states simply enough, "I don't really...have a lot going on other than sneaking into places to watch lectures and practice other things." She idly taps her sword before looking to Hank, "So, just tell me when."

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy goes into his pocket, and pulls out a card. He then flips it over, and writes an added note on it. "Come to this address. Let me know you're coming in advance though. It's north of the city."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
Taking the card, which by her standards is basically a poster, she nods and then considers, "Umm, I'll try to get you teh message...I guess." She nods her head and then folds it up carefully and slips it into her bag.
