Synopsis: In which Remo saves the Darcy
Cast of Characters: Darcy Lewis, Remo Williams

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy was driving back from a hellish work month. Out of town, setting up a remote site, she was travel weary and just wanted to curl up in her bed. She had her music blaring. Her coffee had long since gone cold, but she was still sipping at it, desperate to make it the last few miles to the Triskelion. In her fatigue, her eyes failed to refocus fast enough for her brain to see the stopped big rig in front of her.

Remo Williams has posed:
his name was Remo and he was walking on the sidewalk, minding his own business. For once.
Remo did a lot of walking these days. Since he didn't drive, and the bus was far too restrictive, he found himself going to some very unusual places in town. he was observing quite a bit, I'm so far all the heroes, or capes that he'd run into, all seem to be either very strong and overbearing, or very gun happy.
What he was also observing right now was that there was a car off to his right that was about to run into a very large, very solid looking truck. Before he even knew what was going on in self, his Sinanju reflexes kicked in, and the next thing the driver knew, she was standing on the sidewalk looking over at a wreck of a vehicle that looked like it could have been fatal, if she was still in it.
"Are you all right?" the guy next to her was asking.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy blinked several times, staring at what was left of the SHIELD vehicle. It's twisted metal body seemed to laugh at her: aha! There's another lost vehicle! Keep it up, Lewis!

And then, Darcy shock her head, coming back to herself with an inhale. Someone had asked her a question.

"Yeah," she said, head turning toward Remo. How had she gotten here? She had been driving. And now she's just standing here on the sidewalk while people start calling 911 and the truck driver puts his vehicle in park.

Remo Williams has posed:
"You look a little unsteady. Do you need to sit down?" Remo knew full well lead effects of having to move that fast in such a short time, when he was doing training to adjust to his new reflexes, he often feel dizzy or lightheaded after the training. He was used to it now, but not everybody else had his training. The woman seemed to take things in stride reasonably well, considering what just happened. Against his better judgment, he said, "My name's Remo."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
It's not the first time she's been moved about at super human speeds. It's just as jarring now as the first time. Dizzy is a good way to describe it.

"Darcy," she replies, not answering the first question out loud. The tiny wobble does it for her: yes, she very much needs to sit down.

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo gently helps her to sit down, then sits next to her. "I'm glad to see you're okay. Is there somebody you'd like to call, let them know that you might be late?" His voice was a deep baritone, soothing. And there certainly wasn't anything wrong with his arms as he helped her down so, even through the jackets and the shirt he was wearing oh, she could feel that the guy was about as built as Thor was.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
It's a build Darcy is very familiar with. Fatigued, she leans into the strong arms, and sits as urged.

Call? She should call someone? Oh, yes. A nod, and she reaches for her purse... which is in the car... along with her phone, resting delicately in the cupholder where she had it. Her eyes trail back to the wreckage.

"....Fuck. This one's going to be fun to explain..."

Remo Williams has posed:
"Listen, you just stay here and rest. Let me go check the car." Darcy watches as he goes over to the car, timing his walk to get around traffic, notices that the front door is wedged shut by the force of the collision. He reached for the door, planted of their hand on the side of the car, and pulls the door open with a shriek of metal as if he was opening the door to his house. ysearches briefly, pulls out of purse, and walks over to where Darcy is sitting. "Is this what you need?" He asked.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy watched, the word almost too calm and zen for her life, as Remo picks his way through traffic, to her car. She watches as he seems to get there unnoticed. She watches him pull open the mangled door, hunt for her purse, and then return.

"Phone's in.. the cup holder?" she says, eyes giving one owlish blink. No, she doesn't know how her glasses have stayed on, but thank Thor they have!

Remo Williams has posed:
"Oh. Right." he went back over to the car while the firemen that had been called to deal with the possibility of a wreck requiring the Jaws of Life watched as he checked out the vehicle.
"HOW did you get into the vehicle??" one of them asked.
Remo looked at them and said simply, "Used the door," and walked back to Darcy. "It was on the floor," he explained. "Don't think it's damaged, though."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
A super. Darcy just blinks once, her tired mind taking it in. She doesn't seem bothered that the firemen are confused. The policeman, seeing Remo walking back to her, follow to get a statement. Maybe the woman was the one in the car.

"Interia. It's a bitch," Darcy says, reaching out to take the phone. Still ticking. Good Thorbox. She's so glad that SHIELD's got access to seriously beefy phone cases. She doesn't immediately tap it open, however. Instead, she finishes a slim looking wallet from her purse and just as the policeman gets to her and opens his mouth to start asking questions, she hands over the wallet. Inside, an FBI looking ID badget.

"Yes, I was in the car. No, I'm not injured. Yes, the super got me out. No, you can't question him. No, you're not taking him in. He's above your paygrade, but you can get me a shock blanket from EMS and a coffee?" she rambles at the cop, who blinks and hands back the ID without arguement.

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo considered. On the plus side, she was okay, and somebody from her line of work would probably have a lot more information about capes. Downside, she's with a federal agency, and it's likely that if she decide to ask about him in any way shape or form on their computers, they're going to come up with a big red DOES NOT EXIST. And Smitty was not going to appreciate having to fend off SHIELD. you noticed a coffee shop a few steps away and says, " let me get you a coffee from there, since you're probably not going to want the kind of coffee that's police drink. How do you like your coffee?"

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Darcy smiles gently at Remo as the cop steps away. She made him nervous. She gets it. She government. Lots of supers are leary.

"Half cream, an eighth sugar," she replies, looking content to sit and wait. The phone call will be made as he gets the coffee. She talks on the bluetooth ear piece from her purse, leaving her phone free to take a picture of hte wreckage and snap a pic of Remo getting her coffee: Do not bug this one yet, for fuck's sake! He just saved my life!

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo returns, carrying the coffee and handing it to Darcy. "There you go. Are you going to be all right?" he asked, as if he wasn't paying attention when she flashed her credentials.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
She taptaps the bench next to her, scooching an inch for him in invitation.

"I will be, thanks to you. Thank you," she says, sipping hte coffee. "I've called work. I'll be askig them not to bug you, as a thanks for puling me out. Will you tell me how you did it?"

Remo Williams has posed:
Remo sat down next to her. "Let me put it this way. you know how when people jokingly say, 'I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you?' Yeah, my boss doesn't joke when he says that. And you seem like someone other people want to keep around. "
