Cast of Characters: Rogue, Juggernaut

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had come to the city on a Friday night to enjoy some time away and to get a little extra fun out of that magic vial that Doctor Strange had given her. She'd slept the past 30 hours away in her apartment back in Salem Center, but now was on her way to the city to have some fun. The guilt was pressing in on her for not obeying Strange's orders to smash the vial, but she couldn't help herself, she liked being around people not fearing their death and demise simply if they brush up against her hand or a bare arm. It let her dress in ways that she didn't normally get to.

So tonight, New York, tomorrow? Who knows, maybe she'll smash the glass vial then.

Rogue had spent the past few hours at a lively bar and gotten to enjoy some good company but she was asked to go meet some friends at another. Along the way though, SOME happened, as it always does, there was a vehicular accident as some thugs were running from NYP and slammed into the side of a city bus...

Being the 'hero' that Rogue is she stepped up to offer her help. Using her strength she separated vehicles and helped people out of the bus. But as she separated herself from it all and let the NYP pick up, she noticed something in an alleyway... so she steps in that direction to investigate... never a dull moment in this Belle's life.

Juggernaut has posed:
Some low-level street criminals were the absolute LEAST of the NYP's problems. Yeah, they were certainly an issue, and they had crashed while on the run which more than likely created more headaches for them, but now something real showed up.... just as Rogue had dipped off into an alleyway to check something out.
A loud slamming sound can be heard, coinciding with the sound of crushing pavement and concrete. Small chunks of debris scatter in every direction as the gargantuan Juggernaut lands with all his weight, right next to a squadron of police cars, the bus, and the destroyed vehicle.

Screams can be heard. A combination of citizens and police. "OHHHH SHIT! ITS THE JUGGERNAUT!"

Naturally, this is followed by mass chaos as people start to scram. And for good reason. It -was- the Juggernaut after all. That didn't stop a couple of particularly brave police officers, who had nervously and shakily drawing their sidearms to point at the helmeted behemoth.

The sergeant squeaks out a command. "Fuh-fuh... freeze!" This only serves to make Marko scoff into a brief laugh.
"Don't get your undies all wadded up, copper. I'm here for the punks!"
Heavy footfalls soon follow, the cops deciding to cut their losses and retreat to call for backup. But it would appear to be not necessary as Cain didn't seem to be paying attention to anything but the crashed car with the thugs still reeling from their collision...

"You chumps made me spill my -beer-. You're gunna pay for it!" Clearly he was shouting out to the degenerates in the crashed car....

Rogue has posed:
Rogue was dealing with the bums in the alleyway that were trying to bust into the back of a restaurant when she hear the fuss out at the street. So when she starts back in that direction she huffs out a sigh as she sees him... she recognizes him. It'd been ... two years since she saw the Juggernaut? He'd been storming down park avenue trying to get the attention of someone, the Avengers? She can't remember. But she WAS an Avenger back then so he'd complied with her and she'd escorted him out of the city where he'd then run off... she wasn't sure where he'd gone, but she'd radio'd it in to the team and let them take it over.

Now though? He was back clearly and looking to cause more chaos.

The Southern Belle lifts up off the ground and flies out of the alley, not making even a sound as she sweeps through the cold winter air wearing her brown leather bomber jacket over a red hued sweater beneath, black slim-fit jeans and heeled leather boots that go up to her knees, with a black scarf around her neck fluttering in the winter winds along with her brown and white hair.

"Heya, Big Sugah." Rogue calls out beside Juggernaut now. "Why you worryin' about them? You should be focusin' on me, much more your match." She got that sassy southern tone, and a smile for the big behemoth.

Juggernaut has posed:
Perks up suddenly as he hears that youthful, attractive voice. The large body turns, since the helmet only offered him a limited range of view and motion. When he sees her, there's a moment's hesitation as he looks her over, trying to compute her words.
But then the realization hits him. He knew her, of course, but it had been two years and this was the heat of the moment. He gives another scoff, similar to the one he had given the police. "Yeah, yeah. Wait your turn, toots. You wanna piece of the Juggernaut, you can have one."

He turns back towards the car. "But you'll get it when -I'M- ready, not before. Not after." Already within close proximity of the car, he scoops down with one powerful arm and grabs the rear axel, lifting the car up over his head and turning it on its side to empty it of its driver and passengers.
"Alright, dirtbags. Who wants their ass whooped first?!"

The thugs tumble out to the ground. They had only sustained minor injuries from the car crash, but now they looked like they wished they had died in it - all 5 of their faces flushed and white, and like a chorus of cowardice, they all began pleading for forgiveness.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue watches the Juggernaut just shrug her off and it makes her tilt her head, then a grin appears on her pale pink painted lips. "Ain't you just a doll, even still." She tells the metal helmeted brute!

When she watches him swoop the car up off of the ground and pour the men out from within it she just looks down at them and then back to the Juggernaut. As the Thugs start to plead for forgiveness, Rogue dashes forward and snatches the car up out of his grasp (whether he keeps holding its axel or not). "I'll take that!" The Belle says as she sweeps her flight around and then settles the thug's vehicle down onto the ground again in a parking space along the side of the road, about twenty feet away.

She then finishes her full circle flight by coming back around to put herself in front of the Juggernaut and the men on the ground, she holds her gloved hands up then, defensive? Non-threateningly.

"Ya got'em, I think, Big Fella." She tells him as the cold winds make her white and dark hair flow in waves behind her head along with the wnds of her scarf. "Ya're a big damn hero t'night, it seems." She doesn't want him to smash the poor thugs, even if they deserve it.

Juggernaut has posed:
Cain was just about to chuck that car down the street and commence the ass-kicking. But as he goes to toss the car, he feels it suddenly get lighter - only to look at it and find he was now only holding the axel which had detached from the car as she yanked the entire vehicle from him. He stares incredulously at her for a moment before lightly tossing the axle over his shoulder in disbelief.

"Pah! Hero?! ME?! Don't make me throw up, doll. That heroing business makes me wanna puke on the best of days." He looks away from her down to the group of miscreants on the ground.

"Today's your lucky day, chumps. I was takin' the day off anyway before you hoods made me spill my beer." He continues looking at them for a moment before shaking his head in disbelief.

Suddenly, he lunges forward - but only in a single stomping step which causes a miniature crater to appear beneath his feet as he takes a deep breath in and releases that wind with a massive, booming shout.

"NOW SCRAM OR I'LL DECIDE TO START PULLING SOME OVERTIME!"

The pleading and whimpering stopped as all five of them, in unison, clambered to their feet and began sprinting away from him, down the street... prompting the police to immediately begin pursuing them on foot.

Rogue has posed:
Intimidation factor for running into something as menacing as the Juggernaut? Its pretty darn huge... at least for normal humans. For Rogue? Yeah she's a little freaked out by the big man in the metal dome, but she's faced bigger things than him before and survived just fine so her confidence is pretty darn high! From Ice Giants to Master Mold Sentinels, Rogue has done battle with foes as big as they come!

So when he does his intimidating lunge, the Thugs all turn-tail and run for it, but Rogue just flutters up into the air a few feet, then gently lowers down to the damaged street and puts her hands on her hips. She looks to watch the Thugs run off TO the Police and it just makes her shake her head before she looks back at the Juggernaut, a grin shown to the big scary guy.

"You did it." She says to him. "I think ya even ruined their pants, by the scent they left in their wakes." She shifts her weight from one foot to the other then as she reaches a hand up to stroke some of her white strands of hair out of her face. "So what are you doin' here now, Mistah?" Rogue asks. "Cause... cause I'll fight ya if I gotta."

Rogue moves to raise her dainty fists up, black gloves on her hands. Serious glare given over her fists at him. She's admittedly trying to use humor to defuse him. "I swear it, I'll fi--" Her eyelids flutter. "I figh---" The Belle suddenly wobbles and then, collapses.

Out. cold. What a threat.

Juggernaut has posed:
Marko watched the rats run for a while, but he had honestly lost his interest in them as soon as SHE showed up. He wasn't expecting an immediate response as soon as he showed his face. He also hadn't realized she was already there.

He turns his attention back to her after a moment, those hardened eyes staring at her through the small holes in his helmet. "You'll fight -me-, huh? Dream on, toots. You don't stand a snowball's chance in hell against the Juggernaut and you know it!" He beats his thumb against his chest as he says his name for added dramatic effect. It was clear that his simple mind hadn't yet picked up that she was attempting to disarm him with humor.

But then she collapses. And that hard look on his face suddenly softens. "Uh... what in the-? Hey!" He continues to stare at her, watching her, as if expecting her to leap back up in some sort of act. But when she doesnt, he steps closer.
"Hey. Passed out already, huh? And I ain't even laid a finger on you yet. Man, you X-Men chumps are a real piece of work, you know?" He continues to watch her for some sort of repsonse to his verbal jab. It then occurs to him that something was wrong, and he lets out a deep sigh.
"Awwww. Damnit. So much for a day off."

A fatigued sigh follows as he stares at her for a moment, and then looks around at the now vacant street. There were dozens of people on each end of the street now, gathered, watching what was transpiring with a combination of awe and fear.

"Dammit! Guess I can't leave you here for the vultures. Mags wouldn't be real happy about that, since he seems to care about you damn mutants for one reason or another."

He steps closer and reaches down easily enough to clutch at her body and lift it delicately up off the ground. He moves her up his body to lay her across his shoulder. "Now let's get outta here before someone sees me bein' nice. UGH! I can see it now." He shakes his head as he starts to take a few bounding steps. "The headlines. JUGGERNAUT TURNS HERO." He pauses, shaking his head violently. "Ugh. I could puke just thinkin' about it."

And suddenly, he bounds up into the air and is away, leaping several city blocks in one jump - in the direction of the cheap, abandoned warehouse he was currently staying in.
