Synopsis: Duncan and Prue assessed some pieces he had wanted to know about. They had dinner and he left her at her hotel with the option to stay in the city for a few days if she wanted.
Cast of Characters: Duncan MacLeod, Prudence Halliwell

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
Good to his word, Duncan arranged a first class ticket to fly up here. He also arranged a luxury suite to stay in and top model rental car for you to get around in. When he dets somone one he sets them up.

The shop is...not really quaint, but more upscale than one might think. There is a young blonde man sitting at a desk and a few other random sorts talking to would be customers. Duncan is studying a parchement over a light source, reading and mouthing words in a foreign language.

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
Prue's liking this already. Seee. Canada's not all bad. First class luxury top of the line everything is actually quite good...

The store's more than she thought too as she steps in. Half vacation, a bit of pleasure and...ah yeah, a lot of being a touristy type. See. Prue is, well, Prue's smart and all that fun stuff, and she's come here with an open mind seeing just what antiques Duncan's got. Plus up here she's not likely to be recognized...much? Hopefully. Maybe?

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
Of course, the second she walks in the younger blonde man at the counter nearly kills himself getting out of the roll around chair. He isn't really dressed for the job, but at least he's working. He comes up to you and does his best professional imitation,"I'm Richie. How can I date you?" There is a moment and he frowns,"Help you...help you. How can I help you?"

There are a few snickers around the gallery and Duncan shakes his head. He doesn't look up yet because there is work infront of him, but he does at least hear Richie fall over his own to feet,"Smooth." he mutters softly.

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
Prue shakes her head. "You can have my number. 867-5309" Prue says with a straight face. Piper, somewhere, is enjoying this. Who said it was the middle child who got all the snarky fun? Nah. Prue does too at times. "So, Richie. You faceplantat my feet? Look on the bright side, if I walk around would you follow me around like a lost puppy? That may actually come in handy since I could use help around here" Prue admits with a smile, a sweet, saccharine smile.

she shakes her head and steps off to the side, not wanting to embarass the poor guy any more than he has so she resorts to whispering.

"Listen, word of advice slick, not every woman's going to appreciate that, but...I'm letting you off easy. You help me out and I'll think on it while I'm up here"

Nah she didn't agree to date him. More he helps her out, she'll look out for him type of thing. Prue is a woman of practicality and a career.

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
Richie listens very carefully to the beautiful woman and he nods,"Sure." he comments,"I mean yes...uhh the follow." She's good at throwing people off just showing up. He listens carefull to what she says and nods finally,"How can I help you?"

After hearing Prue's voice, Duncan pauses and looks over at where she and Richie are. He smiles at her and says,"Hellos again. I wondered when I'd be seeing you." Reaching down he switches off the lighted table and walks over to where the pair are. He glances at Richie and back at you,"He means well and he doesn't bite."

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
"He put his feet in it enough" Prue nods gently. "I figured I'd help him out a bit. The flight was good thank you, though I think I got screwed by the exchange rate sadly, but...."

Nodding to them both Prue smiles. "So where do we begin?"

Entirely business...though Prue's eyes are flicking around the shop then bak to Duncan again with a smile. "I brought our latest inventory list if you want to peruse it" Prue muses with a knowing smile.

Stepping toward Duncan Prue nods again, looking ready to explore just what Duncan's place has for antiques things.

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
"Yes the money exchange is less than pleasant." Duncan agrees,"Glad your flight was good." He looks over the room, eyes making sure everything is how it should be and then he indicates the staircase,"I have a few things downstairs I haven't ran across in my time."

He walks her towards the stairs and nods,"I'd be glad to see the list. I'm always looking for new collectibles either for the shop or my personal collection."

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
Prue looks over to Duncan and hands over the list with a knowing smile. "Alright then, Lead on, Mr. McLeod" Prudence nods keenly with a knowing grin. "I'm all for finding interesting things. So what do you need figuring out?" she nods keenly looking over Duncan with a smile

Duncan MacLeod has posed:

"Mr. MacLeod died a long time ago." he offers to her in his usual accent. If she only knew how long ago,"Just Duncan." Down the stairs and into a room that looks like a metal fabricator's dream on one side of the room. The other side has shelves and objects resting on them in various groupings.

He walks over to a strange fettish looking piece and hands it to her,"I suspect this has something to do with witchcraft practicing, but I don't know much more than that. I can't swear it is accurate even. That's just outside my expertise." He thumbs the catalog after he hands her the strange piece that loks like it has Hatian roots like a voodoo piece.

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
Prue looks over to Duncan and the fetishy thing. "It's made of wood. it's from Haiti, and it's a religious fetish. not in that way either, the less commonly used sense of the word" Prue explains. "it's used in religious ceremonies or practices. So" Prue explains. "You're looking at something that's like....say...a sacred cndle in terms of impact to its culture" prue says and sets it down again, inspecting it more.

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
He nods as you describe the piece,"That would explain a few things." he mutters,"Native American artifacts are a specialty of mine. I knew that wasn't the case." He smirks at her comment about the word fettish,"I'll remember the less commonly used word." he teases mildly.

He looks at the piece again, seeing it with proverbial new eyes,"Interesting. I think I will have to call in some special collectos for that one." He glances over at a shelf and as he teased her about there is a stack of baseball cards,"There was those too." he teases a bit more. Still he walks over and takes down a piece of ceramic pottery of unknown source,"Do have anything for this one?"

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
Prue gives Duncan a look. "You want me to identify all the Canadian minor leaguers then?" Prue teases right back. "Okay for this pottery. Ceramic of course, fro the Romman period" Prue nods. "Where was it foundd exactly, that'll help me narrow down more information on it"

Turning it over in her hands she nods. "It's Roman in origin yes. I don't have the equipment to carbon date it. Don't get excited because I said date" she says. "That was for Mr. I faceplant at women upstairs" she says and sets the pottery down with the Haitian religious symbolism. "I'd need all day to go through those cards. Alright, what else ya got?" Prue asks and looks amused for a moment looking over the room, eyes twinkling at all the things

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
He laughs softly and shakes his head,"I'll be sure to let Richie know you're up for dinner." he teases lightly and looks over the room. He goes over and brings a painting. It is old clearly, but how old is anybody's guess,"This one was bought at auction by someone that was trying to score a fast buck. I doubled his money without hurting my profits on the rest of the day."

He lays it on the counter for her to look at and sets the Buckland's book down to turn a page and study it while she looks at the painting,"I may not have anything there other than a nice looking gift for someone someday, but I thought I'd have you look at it. If you need to take any of these things back to Buckland's to look at it we can arrange something."

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
"Honestly. Art bores me. but appraising paintings is awhole other ballgame" Prue adds and looks pleased, then sets to work going over the painting with a fine metaphorical toothcomb. See, Prue's definitely enjoying this too much, as she looks over to Duncan again. "This is a nice painting, you know. It could fetch a lot at auction" she muses and looks impressed as she steps back. "So, you want any of this sent to Bucklands for appraisel or auction?"

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
He looks at the book, marking a page and he nods as she talks again,"See what you can do with the vase and the painting." he agrees and looks at her again,"I'll want to set up to bid on this piece." he indicates something in the book and considers the fetish.

"I am guessing there is probably nothing for that magic piece at Bucklands. Something I will need to find someone in New Orleans or Haiti for?" he muses,"Maybe take the cards as well and get them evaluated and I will see about getting them put into auction and benefit us both?" He glances at the stairs and smirks a little bit,"Would you like to go to dinner tonight or should I get Richie ready to ask you?"

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
Prue looks amused and shakes her head. "Rather you than anyone else. So" she nods keenly. "You got a place in mind then?"

That's the key question, does Duncan know anywhere good or...? Prue's a bit above burgers and fries or a Tim Horton's, really...the Prue's curious to see where this goes.

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
He smiles and puts things aside for one of the workers to send to Bucklands. He considers options and he asks,"Do you like Italian? La Terrazza would suit you if so." One thing about it, he might make a dinner arrangement, but he doesn't want to take her somewhere she won't like.

Prudence Halliwell has posed:
"I'm intrigued. Oh, my sister is goingg to kill me if I tell her I went there. She's a chef" Prue nods. "Yes that works fine then, what siblings don't know..."

Prue has a knowing smile as she looks from Ducan to the artifacts and then to the stairs. "I should head back to my hotel however then yes?" she adds heading for the stairs.

Duncan MacLeod has posed:
"Of course." he replies as she talks about her sister and then going back to her hotel,"I'll have the pieces sent to your room in the morning. The ticket is open ended is you want to wander around the city a day or two more."

He takes her to a late 60's Thunderbird and drives to the restaurant. He's on his best behavior all night. He drops her off at the hotel and drives home.
