Dagger has posed:
The worst part of winter is how quickly the sun goes down, all the while being freezing cold. The church has a crisp, frigid air to it, the type to make the frost puff out in clouds about your lips. Tandy is bundled up in two layers of a sweater and jacket, while trying to keep warm in front of a small ceramic heater plugged into a generator. Instead of electricity, the old church has a couple of candles set up to give the vigilante some light as she toys with a phone in her hands that lights up her face.

Her partner is most likely out stalking prey for tonight's run, while leaving Tandy behind to rest and stay somewhat warm before they go out on a prowl. There is a couple of backpacks filled with non-perishable food and a small cooler for bottles of water. There is a large tarp near by that she uses to cover it when they go out. Having her supplies get stolen would be a shame.

Archangel has posed:
Warren doesn't usually frequent this part of town. Hell's Kitchen isn't exactly the happening place for those of the upper crust circles Warren belongs to, but the X-Man also has friends in low places. Those friends don't have much, and for those that have a lot sometimes the urge to give back hits and it hits hard.

Warren drops from the sky, brilliant white wings flared out to his sides at his full 16' wingspan to catch the air currents casting his shadow over the stained glass window as he descends upon the church. Those with religious affiliations might mistake him for a true angel descending on this house of the Lord...though this angel carries a sack of goods instead of a flaming sword.

"You're going to catch your death of cold in here," the blonde comments as he makes his way into the sanctuary from the outside, "I really don't see why you choose to stay here...but if you are the least I can do is help modernize the place with some basic essentials."

Dagger has posed:
Glancing over at the sound of the old door creeping open, a flare of light forms in Tandy's palm in the shape of a blade as her fingers curl around it. Her eyes look tired and baggy with dark rings. Once she recognizes that it's Warren, she relaxes a bit and flips the blade down in front of her to create another shaft of light before her feet. It casts a haunting shadow at her feet.

"I stay here because I don't have anywhere else to go. Everything costs money and this is .. comfortable, enough." Her lips press into a thin line as her shoulders lift upwards. "It's hard .. with Cloak and all. He isn't very trusting and can't really fit into society easily enough. So .. this is the best place for us, for now."

As she slides into a pew, she rubs her hands together a few times, then leans forward to blow upon them. "I sleep during the day when it's warmer and we hunt at night. So, it doesn't bother me too much. Moving about keeps me warm. How're you doing?"

Archangel has posed:
"You know, if only you had friends that could afford to help. It seriously sucks that you don't know anyone like that at all." Warren quips as he takes the sack off of his shoulder and sets it down by his feet. Reaching in, the winged mutant grabs a small box of single use hand warmers and tosses over in Dagger's direction. He, however, doesn't seem to be bothered by the cold.

"Seriously, if housing Cloak is all that is preventing you from more...normal...housing, I can buy a damned no-tell motel and you can have run of the joint. I'm sure there is at least one here in the Kitchen that would be willing to sell. That way you might be able to get some decent sleep, because from the look of things, you're not."

The winged mutant shrugs, shoving the sack across the floor with his foot towards Tandy. "But if I can't do that, at least I can keep you supplied. Food, medical supplies, warm clothing and other essentials."

Dagger has posed:
"The X-Men have been more than kind to us. James installed solar panels on the church roof to give us some warm water so I can shower with a hose. Kurt brings by food and blankets for me." Tandy says as her shoulders lift again, then drop. "Our mission doesn't require luxury. The other reason why we stay here is because this church is in the heart of everything that goes on in Hell's Kitchen. We have a pulse on the gangs, the drugs that sicken the people here, the children that are stolen from their parents."

"If we were to get comfortable, we wouldn't be as sharp, or determined. With how we came to be and the pain that came with it, we use it as a sword." Catching the hand warmers, she takes one out and slides it between her fingers after giving it a hard squeeze, followed by a chattering of her teeth.

"But it means a lot that you continue to help us, even though you aren't required to."

Archangel has posed:
Warren shrugs a shoulder, causing the wing on that side to flutter the feathers a bit. Shoving his now empty hands into the pockets of the designer jeans he wears as he takes a few steps forward to stop in front of the pew, "You shower....with a hose? I can't even imagine..." The playboy shakes his head, "James and Kurt are good people, but damn it I can make some real change in your lives if you wanted me to...but I guess I get it. I don't understand it, but I get it. You don't want to loose that 'edge'."

Seeing the young woman's teeth chatter, he sighs again and moves closer, his wing extending out and offers to curl around her as a makeshift blanket. "Seems to me though being tired and cold isn't going to give you much of a leg up either."

Dagger has posed:
"With a hose, yeah. We have it hooked up to the ceiling in a small stall in the back. It does the job." Tandy says as she glances down at her hands. "I used to be like you. Rich and driving fancy cars and wearing the best clothes. I was in one of the top ballet schools in the nation. My mother is a famous actress .. my father? Who knows what he's doing. He left when I was young, leaving me with a step father who was ignored by his wife. I grew up with anything and everything, turning my nose up at those who needed it."

"Maybe this is God's will. A way to punish me for my pride and ego. The night I was kidnapped and had my life stolen from me with poison injected into my body, it changed everything. It gave me these powers, it gave me Cloak, and it gave us our mission and purpose. I know that if I go back to that life .. I'd be tempted to sway away from this path."

When the wing curls around her, she glances upwards, then leans in to soak up some of the heat. Her hands glow as a small orb appears in her palms. "This city is sick and we're the cure. We have to stay focused." She says softly, sadly.

Archangel has posed:
"You're a stronger person than I am then," Warren admits as he looks down at Tandy, drawing the wing in closer to her to share his warmth. "I don't honestly think I would be able to function like this."

The winged mutant sighs, taking a look around the church. "I'll give you this though, there are worse places you could be. It has a certain beauty here, even if it is cold. There are a couple of propane heaters in the bag, that should help. I can bring by more propane as you need it. You just have to let me know."

He pauses, looking back towards her, "You have a way to call out, right? Do you need a cellphone or anything? Being able to call for aid doesn't seem like it would stray you too far from your path."

Dagger has posed:
"I have a phone that the Blue Beetle gave me. I can make calls and it has Poke'mon Go on it." Tandy says as she motions her finger towards the phone on the table nearby. It's a unique looking phone in design. Definitely one of a kind. "He wants Cloak and I to join a team called The Titans. Young heroes like us who fight in the streets. I am open to the idea, but Cloak is not very trusting .. he doesn't trust anyone."

Sighing again, she leans back, finding herself resting against the wing as she continues to finger the hand warmer between her palm. "Thank you for the propane. Kurt brought some of those a few weeks ago as well. He has offered to have us stay at your mansion but I don't think Cloak is good around kids."

"Besides, when we /really/ need some type of comfort, we just sneak into an unused hotel room and stay the night. It's a decent shower and a bed. I just feel bad for the help who have to clean up after and remake beds. Hope no one got in trouble."

Archangel has posed:
"Next time you, Cloak, or the both of you want a 'night off' you let me know. Call me. I will get you two a suite." Warren says as a matter of fact. "It's ridiculous that you have to go sneaking around in order to get a real shower. My god woman, if the Church would allow I would just build one in here for you two. A hose..." he scoffs. "Tell you what, you let me know where you and Cloak stayed in the last few months or as far back as you can remember, and I will send anonymous tips to the housekeeping staff to compensate for any hardship. I swear, though, I am just going to buy you two a brownstone somewhere here in the Kitchen. I don't care if you keep it as run down as you want for your 'edge', but damn if I am not going to get you a proper shower and beds."

Dagger has posed:
"It's fine, Warren. Don't worry about it. These cheat hotels here in Hell's Kitchen are just used for drug deals and sex." Tandy says as she slides out from his wing, then unzips her jacket and hoodie to reveal the bright white leotard with the cross cut out across the front. Once she wiggles out of her pants, she puts her boots back on. She gives the band in her hair a tug to let the blonde curls fall upon her shoulders.

"I have to go meet up with Cloak. We have a tip on a gang member who has been hurting women and we plan on seeing how loud we can make him scream tonight." She pauses for a long moment, then reaches out to give his hand a squeeze. "You really are an angel, Warren. Thank you for coming to see me."

She thinks for a moment as she heads for the door. "Same time tomorrow? If I'm lucky."

Archangel has posed:
"All the more reason I should buy them up and gentrify them into something less crime-stricken. Maybe make them affordable housing, or art studios, or...something other than dens of drugs and sex." retorts Warren as Tandy slips out form under the wing.

He watches the young woman 'gear up' into her costume, eyes casting over her body almost without conscious thought, only averting his gaze when she starts to 'wiggle' out of her pants. "I'm just a guy who has been blessed with a lot, and I am just trying to give back. I started in Mutant Town, and I might as well branch out to other areas of the city. I'm around if you ever...tomorrow? Sure. Text me any special requests and I'll bring them by tomorrow. I'll leave my number here." The winged mutant taps the top of the bag of supplies.

Dagger has posed:
"Okay. I'll do that." Tandy has a full body leotard on, brillaint white, designed to distract the eyes, much like it does Warren's, while Cloak swoops down to feed. She very much looks like a glowing angel of light.

"Well, if you buy something, maybe we'll sneak in and steal a room for a few nights." She calls over her shoulder as she heads for a side door and nudges it open. She takes a look out into the snow covered streets and the blustery cold, then puts on her 'game' face. Stepping out, the door swings behind her with a loud creak, causing a swoop of air to blow out the candles in her wake, leaving the church in the dark.
