Storm has posed:
Everyone gets a day off now and again. Today? It happens to be Ororo Munroe's turn to have one. The wind currents had brought her to Sunnydale -- or rather, riding upon the wind currents had. She landed in a place that wouldn't really get much in the way of attention, and then she'd started to explore. It was morning when she had arrived, and now was somewhat past noon. She'd stopped into a coffee shop and purchased a tall coffee, carried now in her right hand.

For today, Ororo wears a pair of medium heeled black boots, blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and a light denim jacket. Her white hair is loose and free, tumbling down to the small of her back, her sapphire blue eyes bright as she finds new places and new things. She steps towards a shop that had caught her eye, and with her left hand, she pushes open the door before stepping within, a tinkling bell announcing her entry to it.

Rupert Giles has posed:
Even Giles gets days off every now and again. However, unlike his sudden potential customer, today does not happen to be one of those days. Giles looks about how he tends to look. Silvered hair, neat. Blue eyes, and nose, buried in a book. Dressed in tweed. A midling grey in this case. He is sat behind the counter with said book laid open over the surface before him. He glances up as the bell over the door chimes its merry little sound. A smile appears there and he closes the book, turning his focus to the customer. "Good afternoon," he says. "Welcome to the Magic Box. Can I help you find anything?"

Storm has posed:
The door closes neatly behind her, and Ororo Munroe steps further within the shop. Her gaze wanders over a couple of the wares that she can see before her attention shifts to the shopkeeper himself, taking in the sight of him. The book that holds his attention is given a glance, perhaps an attempt to satisfy her curiosity, though she may glimpse rather little of it in the process.

A smile turns at the corners of her lips and she gives a nod to him. "Good afternoon," she offers in greeting, her voice holding a mild Egyptian accent to it. Odd, perhaps, but it's hers. "Thank you," she adds, for the welcome he'd offered. She takes a moment to look over one of the nearby shelves, briefly, and then her attention returns to him. "I am not sure," she offers at first. She takes a brief sip of her coffee before switching it to her left hand. "I am curious. What do you know of weather magic?" she asks, tilting her head a touch to one side.

Rupert Giles has posed:
The glimpse reveals nothing telling. It's a leatherbound book with no words of any kind in any language embossed onto the cover of it. It looks aged, though. Old. But, with it closed, whatever the contents might be? Remains a mystery. Probably something to do with the name of the shop!

Giles considers the question posed of him, and shakes his head. "Not much, except that the weather is something you don't want to mess around with if it can possibly be helped. Bad things can happen, even with good intentions."

Storm has posed:
An old book with no title says a thing or two even though there's naught to be read upon it. Ororo doesn't pry about the contents of the book nor the subject matter. The name of the shop is, most likely, part of the reason that she now stands within the establishment.

Whilst she watches him, Ororo lifts her cup of coffee to take a sip of it. One of her eyebrows quirks up a touch at his choice of response, and then she gives a nod of agreement with him. "Yes, this is true. Good intentions can yield bad results. Furthermore, changing the weather in one spot can have less than ideal consequences for the surrounding areas. If the rainfall of one area is increased to end a drought then the water must come from somewhere, and so it may cause there to be too little water in another place," she says. These things, she already knows. Her brow furrows slightly as she looks down to her coffee, considering what next to say. "There are storms every year. They grow in strength and they grow in number. If a person could take in the energy of a storm in order to quell it, to lessen the damage that it would wreak, is there something that might benefit from that excess energy?" she asks. It's not quite the wording she's looking for.

Rupert Giles has posed:
As if the motion of drinking coffee is a reminder, Giles reaches for his own cup. Tea, in his case. He takes a casual sip of it, and lowers the cup back to the counter after. Again, Giles listens as t he woman speaks. He looks thoughtful at the question she poses. "Quite probably. Nothing I'm working on at present. You might ask some higher level magic users. I believe Mac's Bar is a good place to find such people. I've been there once. Good food."

Storm has posed:
There is a certain intensity to her gaze as she watches him, awaiting the answer that he gives. Ororo gives a small nod at the first part of his answer, then frowns briefly at the second part. Plausible, then, but nothing he's in the midst of. Interesting. "This is a thing that you could do, with sufficient time?" she asks, curiosity within the words. "Is there someone that you might recommend for such a thing?" It's something that seems important to her, though she offers nary a reason as to why.

"I have not been to Mac's Bar. I may need to visit," Ororo Munroe says, seeming momentarily perplexed before her expression clears. Then she gives a faint shake of her head. She shifts the cup in her hand for a moment, looking down to it before she looks to him once again. "Do you have things that work against fears?" she asks in a quieter tone.
