Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Cypher, Sister Reinhardt

Cypher has posed:
It is late in the evening, when Doug returns to the school -- he is tired, but appears upbeat, and has a cloth bag with vinyl records and some other items picked up during his day-trip to the city in it. He puts his hand on the doorway and looks around the foyer of the palatial old house; old memories, faded. Arguments, conversations, the time somebody puked on that carpet even -- why does he remember that so fondly, since it was him?

He shakes his head, and then turns, to head up the stairs toward the guest room that's been set aside for him at a slow trudge.

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
In the kitchen, Doug will hear noises. Mostly it sounds like dinner being fixed, but if he looks....it's a feast. If that wasn't strange enough, most of the utensils being used are being held aloft by a blue aura. Leaning in further, Doug may notice someone walking, and possibly floating up and down in the kitchen....and she seems to be wearing a costume...

Cypher has posed:
...Huh. And Doug was really looking forward to listening to the Lila Cheney LPs he got. Still, he's curious--he peeks into the kitchen, and then steps inside, and sets his bag down. "...Do you need any help?" He begins to roll up his sleeves, and then something goes *peep peep peep* in the jacket tucked into his bag. "Oh. Heck. Um... let's see, what can I feed a chick?"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
The woman looks to Doug and tilts her head. "If you're part of the school, sure. But I've mostly got everything under control." And she does it seems. apparently there's whipped potatoes being made, macaronit and cheese being cooked, kale being cooked, corn boiled and there's something wonderful smelling in the oven. She looks at the chick and tilts her head. "What kind of a chick is it?"

Cypher has posed:
Doug pauses. "I don't know?" He says, before he takes her out and cradles her in one hand. She goes *cheep cheep cheep* at him, and he clucks back at her, softly, before he strokes the fuzzy golden thing. "But she's decided I'm her mother." He gives a muzzy little smile. "Hi. I'm Doug. I... used to go to school here, and I'm visiting for awhile. You're the guest I heard about?"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Looks that way." She says with a laugh. "Yeah, I'm the Blue Lantern. Brought in a new student to here and I'm making sure he's fitting in okay. I'm fixing people dinner here then I'm going to be on my way. No point in remaining here when I'm not a student." She says as she opens one oven and gets out the large bowl of macaroni and cheese. Seems it's homemade.

Cypher has posed:
"I remember those days." Doug says, "I was lucky, a lot luckier than some." He rubs his chin and says "This is really the right place for a young mutant to be--" Then he goes looking, and finally settles on a little bit of corn meal he finds in a cabinet. He puts a little bit on a small plate and lets the chick peck at it, before he gets her a shallow saucer of water. Then he washes up, and gets out bowls and plates. "It's appreciated. I went to New York to see how an old classmate was doing."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Well..considering the circumstances on how I found him, he's very lucky. Some bank robbers caught wind of what he could do, and used him to rob a high class party. I kinda....removed him from their grasp and brought him here. I think, if these guys get out of jail, they'll come looking for him." She says as she looks in the oven briefly.

Cypher has posed:
"Who was it?" Doug says, before he scoffs. "Oh, this would be the worst place in the world to come looking for someone. It'd be safer to try to break into Riker's than this school." He dishes up some of the macaroni for himself, and picks at it with a fork. "So you're a lantern, huh? I thought all the lanterns were Green, but that's neat."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"there's a few colors for Lanterns, not just green." She says as she puts the mac and cheese on the table, smiling as he dishes some macncheez for himself. "wait'll the rest comes out." She says with a smile. "Yeah.....there's a lot of color lanterns. Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Red, Orange, and Yellow."

Cypher has posed:
"...Huh." Doug pauses, with a mouthful of food, and then swallows it, before he says, "Not surprising. The entire color spectrum, huh?" Then he adds, "Well, I hope the kid's settling in at least. This place can be intimidating, and it's easy to get lost--"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"yeah, and there's negative colors as well as positive colors. the 'cool' colors are the positive, while the 'hot' ones are the negative'." She then ponders. "Mmmm....well, he'll be easy enough to find, apparently he has the power to nullify powers. Just not in the mystical ones."

Cypher has posed:
"So Red, Orange, Yellow are negative, and Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet are positive?" Doug asks, "...Huh. That's interesting. And based on that model are there white lanterns covering the color spectrum and black lanterns covering the absence of light?" He takes another bite, and then says, "Oh, that's always tricky. I remember there was this Morlock boy who could do that."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Nope. I've asked the ring and it said definitely not." She then sets the kale out. "green is Will. Blue is Hope. Indigo is COmpassion, Violet is Love, Red is Rage, Orange is greed, and Yellow is fear." She then tilts her head. "Morlocks? Never heard of them."

Cypher has posed:
"They're mutants who can't pass for human, who've decided to try and make it on their own. They live in the New York undercity. Or at least... they did." Doug says, stroking his chin. "I remember that much at least. It's not a life I'd wish on anyone, but they don't feel there's anyplace they can go. Though I've been doing some reading and I wouldn't be surprised if Magneto made off with the whole bunch of them and took them to Genosha." He sighs, quietly, at that, maybe remembering something. "Will isn't an emotion. Wouldn't it be better classified as 'Courage'?"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
She shakes her head. "Will. And it's like a neutral emotion. But most of these rings run on emotion, so you can call it what you want. Though, I don't think it's courage to cut through a spaceship." She then shrugs...but tilts her head. "Genosha? Hmmm...I might have to look into that then."

Cypher has posed:
"Don't ask me, I'm not a lantern," Doug says, holding up his hands. "Actually my favorite Superhero's Booster Gold. I'm a Booster Booster." He picks at his meal a bit more, and watches the chick, before he looks up to Suzanne, and says, "You go to outer space a lot. Have you ever heard any of Lila Cheney's stuff?"

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
"Actually, I haven't been to space yet. I'm still learning what I can do with the ring." She says before she actually puts a rather large sized ham on the table, as well as the whipped potatoes and more. "So, I haven't heard of Lila Cheney at all. though this Grayson Creed needs to be slapped."

Cypher has posed:
"Oh! Well. If you do go, check out one of her concerts. And tell her 'Dougie from Westchester says hello'. You won't believe how surprised she'll be." He pauses, and says, "Wait here." He reaches into his bag and takes out a vinyl LP, with a dark-haired woman who's both strikingly beautiful and incredibly tough-looking in her own way on the cover. The album title is 'Starseeker'. "Here. From me."

Sister Reinhardt has posed:
She nods and sighs. "I'll listen when I have the chance." She says putting it into a pocket dimension. "Now...eat up." She says with a smile.

Cypher has posed:
Doug Ramsey smirks, and settles him. Him and his chick, both. He eats like a man who's been dead for three years. Because. Ha.
