Wonder Woman has posed:
During one of their numerous monitoring sessions in the Watchtower, Diana had invited Willow to come and visit the Themysciran Embassy. Today was the day that the visit has come.

Diana was notified when her friend and JLA ally had arrived. Rearranging her schedule for the afternoon, the Ambassador arrives at the reception area, offering a smile to her friend.

"Willow. Hello. It is good to see you. Thank you for your visit!"
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
To say that Willow was nervous, and excited would have been an understatement. She's played out this visit, in her brain, and while everything seemed to work out pretty well, the day came and she still was worried about it.

Of course she made cookies for the visit. Because! Mind you, she didn't trust her oatmeal raisin cookies - so she decided to bake chocolate chip instead. (She only had good result with oatmeal raisin recently, so it was probably a good thing.)

"Your place is so huge! I can't imagine living here. Oh! I baked some cookies for you, Diana. I'm so happy to visit when we aren't working!"
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles gently. "Well I cannot take credit for it. It is not simply 'mine'. I live here, yes, but it is the property of the Amazons. Many of my aunts and sisters visit or work here. As well as a number of other staff who help with the daily duties that make the embassy operate as it should. I would be lost with out any one of them" she offers softly. Never one to take the glory for herself.

"The cookies smell very good. Thank you. We should have some after the tour in the kitchen. Ferdinand will be excited to meet a fellow baker. He loves to exchange recipes whenever he is able."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well," And here Willow has to crinkle up her face, "I'm kind not a baker, I just like cookies. When I'm thinking of magic, and I need my brain to focus on one thing while my deep brain thinks about the problem, cookies are a really good way to solve it."

She, too, is pretty much honest, even when it really doesn't matter.

"Are you going to give me a tour? Really?" She almost squees at the thought. "I know, I'm silly. I forget, sometimes, that I kinda know very important people. So your family lives here from time to time?"
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles. "If you baked them, you are a baker I believe Ferdinand will tell you."

She smiles. "I had thought you would like one? The actual embassy offices are quite dull. They are exactly as you imagine offices to be. However the rest of the building.." She smiles. "All of the Amazons are my family, of course." She gestures down one side hall. "We can begin in this direction if you would like. We have a public exhibit in one of the halls, displaying works of art and artifacts from Amazon and Ancient Greek history."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"I should warn you, if it houses books, or computers, you'll never get rid of me!" Her two favourite pastimes! "Oooo, artefacts! People forget, there are people who still remember everything as if they were used today."

Willow follows her down the hallway. "I know some ancient languages. It is useful when using magic. Come to think of it, some of those people who remember, are really things like demons and vampires - which, again, the languages are very useful to see what they are talking about."

"In my apartment we don't have artefacts, but we do have glyphs and sigils. You have to use magesight to see them, of course."
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince smiles and nods. "Well. We do have books. And scrolls." She gestures to a small display in the hallway. There are a series of alcoves, each with some artifact or display.

The display is of a work of art. A painting that shows the Themysciran palace. A number of temples can be seen on the various hills and ridges. A large market place is depicted with a number of figures, all of them female, shown about the image.

"One of our artists, Callie, painted this millenia ago. I suppose in modern terms it would be a still life image. A glimpse into what that day's events had been. A market gathering in this case. Just after a major harvest."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"It must be odd for you, having been alive as long as you have."

Willow stops to view the painting. "Some things are different. And some things stay the same. Well, with an update or two. Still.." The picture of a market day looks pretty much the same a millennium ago as it does on every Saturday. Willow should know, she's gone often enough during her school years.
Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana Prince nods, "It is.. but much of my life was on Themyscira. It does not, really, age. It has only been since I came into Man's world that the true passage of time has been apparent. Here? Humanity simply cannot sit still. It must always advance and change. Change happems much more slowly there."
Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well, I guess. I tend to see patterns. You know, with magic, you do tend to see patterns, so that sometimes everything seems to be, at its heart, the same no matter what time it is. The magic really doesn't change significantly through the years. Bits and pieces, sure, but the nexus is the same wherever or whatever you use it on."

That was a dumbed down version, but it would do.
